Villa Tortorelli is a charming mix between a bed-and-breakfast and a hotel. My experience here was mostly positive, and while there were a few minor issues, I could tell that the staff genuinely does their best to run the villa as smoothly as possible.
Check-in & First Impressions
The first thing to note is that the villa is designed to work with automated check-in processes, which is great for most travelers. However, it could be better explained to future guests to avoid any confusion. Not everyone will have a working phone or data plan when they arrive in Italy, and it’s important for the villa to have a backup plan in case guests are unable to connect.
One simple suggestion would be to provide Wi-Fi access at the entrance of the villa and share the network name and password with guests before their arrival. This would make it easier for everyone to access the automated system without any issues.
Room & Comfort
I stayed in the Deluxe Suite, located on the first floor of a three-story villa, right next to the breakfast room. At first, I was concerned about noise, but the thick, heavy door completely blocked any sounds from the breakfast area. I never heard a thing in the morning.
The room has blackout curtains that provide great privacy and darkness, which I really appreciated. The bathroom was newly renovated with luxury finishes, including stone walls that give it a high-end feel. The room was clean, and the daily housekeeping service kept everything spotless, with fresh towels replaced daily.
One of the standout features of Villa Tortorelli is Karen, the person in charge of breakfast service and housekeeping. She is incredibly attentive and hardworking. She ensures that guests are well taken care of, and the breakfast is always well-prepared and served hot. Honestly, if they lose Karen, the villa would lose two stars in reviews. She is one of their greatest assets.
Breakfast Experience
The breakfast service was excellent. The food is prepared fresh every morning, and Karen makes sure there is always a variety of hot and cold options available. The breakfast room is cozy and inviting, with plenty of choices to start your day off right.
The Villa’s Atmosphere & Location
The villa is peaceful and surrounded by greenery, making it a relaxing place to stay. It’s also within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions in Florence, which makes it very convenient for exploring the city.
One Minor Issue
The only negative point during my stay was that the room felt quite cold when I first arrived. However, I reached out to the WhatsApp help service, and the heating system was adjusted quickly. Within a short time, the room felt much warmer and more comfortable.
Final Thoughts
Overall, Villa Tortorelli is a great option for those looking for a peaceful, well-located stay in Florence. The automated check-in system could use some improvement to avoid any potential issues for guests without a data plan, but aside from that, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff is very attentive.
Would I stay here again? Yes, especially for Karen’s service and the peaceful villa atmosphere!
The room is very large and very comfortable in Italy, with a small garden (but very tasteless, semi-open, more than a parking space), and the vineyard of the winery outside the window. We booked an extra wine tour from the official website and it was also very interesting. The key is that the price is reasonable relative to this area, and the overall recommendation
The Cascina is very nice even if in a slightly penalising position because of the very narrow road. The large rooms are well furnished in an ancient style, a beautiful garden, excellent parking, a large and well-equipped bathroom, a little TV x the distance from the bed. Breakfast could be a little more varied and cured to get the maximum score. Good staff
Super nice little hotel with the green, very friendly staff, rooms very nicely decorated. Breakfast was also sensational, in the summer there is also a swimming pool, which wasn't relevant for me as I was there in March.

This homestay should be highlighted, it is the highlight of this European tour! We set off from Florence at 4 pm and booked this homestay on the highway roadside before dark. Smeared to the farm, the boss left us a message in advance and called him, he was nearby. When we met, the boss said that he had been in Shenzhen for a while, and the intimacy was instantly improved. We set a two-bedroom suite with two floors up and down. All the toiletries in the room were produced from the farm. We brought 9 shower gels and body milk when we left. Breakfast will be selected the night before, delivered to the room the next morning, and then withdrawn after the meal. We don't want to cause trouble, and the breakfast for the next two days is going downstairs to the restaurant.
The boss understood our demands and specially arranged for us to dig truffles the next day, followed professional hunters, hunting dogs, and carrying a shotgun. The hunter speaks Italian, and the owner of the hotel is proficient in English and French. He translates for us and accompany us to travel with us. In just two hours, he has gained a lot. This experience is believed to be longing for many people and is worth recommending!
The temperature in Tuscany in February was more than ten degrees, and the sunny slopes were green. The three-day stay here has completed our 21-day holiday! Will still stay next time! 😄😄

PPenelope HighetWe missed a flight and needed a day room to rest until we could fly back later to UK. This is so close to the airport and was quaint and comfortable. No frills but a clean bed to rest, just what we needed, thank you for the last minute availability.
GGuest UserGreat location in the countryside just outside of Pisa. Feels like being far away but you’re only 10 minutes from Pisa center. 20 minutes from Lucca. Beautiful renovated farm house with amazing chef and family run Bed and breakfast. Very relaxing surroundings. Say hi to Jerry the dog and throw his toy one more time for me!
KKaisa Johanna’Old style’ hotel with clean and ok room. Just perfect for stop if you are e.g. having early flight. Nice breakfast. Met only one person who spoke english. Maybe different siruautomaatit as the season starts.
