Tbh it is cheap and has free coffee, laundry is 40 TWD and the staff is nice. There is also a well equipped kitchen. But it is not a „social hostel“. So, at most times guests are more focused on themselves and not interacting with each other. There is also a long time guest (seem to have her own room). IMHO she tended to allways mumble something in the common area in allways the same vollume, doesn’t matter, who is around. But this is the typical „Chinese“ / „Taiwan“ way of communication. Loud doesn’t matter what. When I was there, people were snorring heavily.

The young man at the front desk who checked me in seemed a bit cold and wasn't very enthusiastic or friendly. The location is quite easy to find, right on a corner by the main road, and it's close to the Second Market, so it's convenient for food and drinks. I had messaged beforehand hoping to be far from the elevator, but ended up being right in front of it. What was the point of my request then? Pros: The bathroom facilities in the room are all new, and it's very convenient to have outlets on both sides of the bed. There's a table and chairs, and a clothes rack, and the space is decent. The mattress was a bit soft for my liking. You have to find street parking yourself.

The hotel is a new building with excellent natural light. My room offered a view of the 7-11 on the corner, and morning sun streamed in. The only drawback was that the room size was a bit small, but it felt very cozy. The air conditioning unit was also spotless. Being a new building, there were no strange odors, unlike some B&Bs that use chemical air fresheners to mask smells. The room had simple furnishings, but everything was dust-free, indicating thorough cleaning. Even the curtains were spotless. The window soundproofing was excellent, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep – I slept soundly until morning. The room door was made of wood, and its sound insulation was slightly less effective. Opening and closing the door created a somewhat louder noise, though I still couldn't hear any disturbances from other guests. The kitchen was available for simple use and was kept remarkably clean, tidy, and bright. The refrigerator was spotless, and there was a water dispenser along with various tea bags. Clean trays were also provided. There was a microwave, but it wasn't plugged in – to avoid potentially damaging the appliance, I opted not to use it. The living room, furnished with simple wooden pieces, felt somewhat uncomfortable. Overall, however, my impression was positive. It's highly recommended for those who appreciate cleanliness.

Brilliant hotel situated 3 minutes from the beach and at the bottom of the main street night market. Bus stop within a few minutes walk. Great discount price for scooter rentals. We were upgraded to balcony room without request. We had daily fresh towels and water and bins changed. No recycling options, all waste in one general bin which I didn't like. Water fountain on first floor. Would highly recommend staying here.

The accommodation is about 15 minutes from Hualien Railway Station. There are many convenience stores and supermarkets along the way, and many souvenir shops in front of the station. It is a great place to stay with a variety of room types. Everyone is welcome to come and experience the accommodation.

The room is on the first floor, and you can park your motorcycle at the door, which is very convenient. You can check in by yourself with a password. You need to change the indoor mop at the door to enter. The bathroom is large and the air conditioning is cool.

It is a nice place to stay. Location is good for night market & near the bus stop (in front & opposite of the police station). Can rent Youbike which few minutes walk from hotel. Must try the ice taro balls at the night market. Miss it very much 🤤🤤🤤. P/s: there are 2 Kenting Hostels with different locations but nearby…make sure you go to the right one 😊

First time trying self check-in, a bit confusing because the first floor is a salon. You never thought that is it the right place. The name of the Inn was covered with tarpaulin. Anyway, we had a great stay. I slept good. Clean and no unwanted odor. Everything is great. Except the shower is broken, too old the hose had a leak. The toilet bowl is clogged. Definitely, i love to stay there again.

GGuest UserThis is a really cosy place. I really love my room. Clean and modern interior. The only downside might be the location. It's close to the train station. But there isn't much nearby for food. Probably best to rent a scooter to explore Taitung anyway to make your stay more convenient. They are plenty of scooter shops near the train station too.

CClymene LimThoroughly enjoyed my stay at Sun Palm B&B. Have written this review in English, but we communicated with them in Chinese. We stayed at this B&B during the tourism off-peak season (March). Service - Amazing. They were very responsive on Line, and quick to reply. They were also helpful with our requests/questions (e.g. fetching service to and fro airport, car rental service, traffic road conditions in Penghu) and were polite. They also gave some advice on what can or cannot be done (e.g. we wanted to cycle around Penghu, but they advised us saying Penghu was too big to travel on a bicycle). The driver was always punctual when picking us up, and when sending us to the airport. In fact, he was already there, with the car ready, minutes before we were supposed to leave for the airport - we didn't even need to remind them. The lady boss was very friendly - when we first arrived, she asked if we were new to Penghu (it was our first time), and she introduced where to explore in Penghu, and what to eat. She also told us that if we wanted to do water activities, we can approach them, and they can make a check with the centres to see if they are open since it was off-peak season for tourist activities. We also had some extra request regarding the check out timing, and she helped us with it too. Before we arrived, they also tested the car we wanted to rent, and upon finding out that it wasn't working as well, they provided us with another car instead - this is certainly good service. They also cleaned up the room upon request, and re-stocked the fridge with drinks. Food - The breakfast was amazing and fresh (see photos). On the first day we had bread + doughstick + egg with spring onion all in one package. It was delicious. On the second day, we had vermicelli and seafood (e.g. squid, prawns). The seafood was really fresh, and the broth was simple and tasty. Each dish was accompanied by fresh fruits / pastry + drink, which was refreshing. Room - We got the Starry Honeymoon Room. It was very spacious, the room was clean, the amenities were in good condition, and the overall design was aesthetically pleasing. The heart pillow on the bed was a cute addition, and the round bed was big enough for 2 of us. Above the bed there was a window covered with a retractable screen - you can actually look into the sky while lying on the bed, really interesting.  Location - While this B&B is further away from the main city, we didn't feel that affected as they provided airport transfer services. Also, we felt that it being away from the hustle and bustle from the city was actually advantageous, as the B&B's location had a more relaxed, quiet, holiday vibes, which was what we were looking for.  There is a 7-11 around 10 minutes from the B&B, so if you need food etc in the middle of the night, you can get it from there. We rented a car, so travelling to other areas wasn't much of an issue. Overall, I will recommend this B&B to anyone looking to tour Penghu! Am glad to have chosen this B&B for our first ever trip to Penghu :)

GGuest UserLocation is outstanding, very close to 7-11, however as many many other people have notes it's hard to find. The address given (number 28) is wrong. As you go up the street, the last houses are numbered 19-24 and then there's nothing but 300m of shrines. I know, I walked past them 3 times making sure I hadn't missed 28. The actual hotel is number 5-2. If you use that, Google maps finds it, what a surprise. Actually there is a 28 halfway down at the bottom, but it's a house not a hotel. Anyway, the receptionist blamed Google maps for getting me to the wrong place and when I pointed out the address on the booking information was wrong, she just shrugged and said that's a problem for management. Next, you have to change into slippers at the entrance. They were too small so only my toes fit in, and carrying my suitcase up 2 flights of stairs in ill-fitting slippers is a safety hazard. Even worse when leaving. The guy watched me struggle the whole time too. The room itself was weird. It's a strange Japanese style with a raised floor and then no bedframe, just a mattress. There was quite a bit of wasted space in the room and the bathroom was a wet room instead of separate shower and toilet, just like you get in the tiny cramped hotel rooms. So for an hour or two after having a shower, going to the toilet means you get wet feet or wear the slippers and get the room floor wet. When there's space wasted in the room, that could have been used to make a shower too, this is stupid. The place was clean, although there were renovations being done in the common room where you change into slippers most of the days. No water etc provided, but there were a few snacks left in the kitchen, and there was a hot water dispenser in the kitchen too. This was really useful as there's nowhere close to eat after 7pm, so you have to buy instant noodles from 7-11. Room was quiet and curtains were good, so easy to sleep well. No light switch within reach of the bed though, so you have to get to the bed in complete darkness.

TTobias TDuring my recent trip to Hualien, I had the unique opportunity to stay at the Peace Prison Cafe Inn Hostel, and it truly exceeded my expectations. As soon as I arrived, the prison theme instantly caught my attention. The rooms were designed to resemble prison cells, which added an intriguing and immersive element to my stay. One thing that stood out to me was the absence of a traditional reception desk. Instead, to gain entry, all guests need to do is call the contact number provided, which adds a touch of mystery to the experience. The lady working there was exceptionally helpful and patient, even taking the time to explain how to use the facilities in Chinese. Her assistance made my stay all the more enjoyable. As a solo traveler, I couldn't help but appreciate the eerie vibes that the place exudes, especially since I'm a fan of horror. Every night, I found myself immersed in an atmosphere that perfectly catered to my taste. It's not often that you come across a hostel that provides such a unique and thrilling ambiance. Cleanliness is always a priority for me, and I was pleased to find that Peace Prison Cafe Inn Hostel did not disappoint in this aspect. The rooms were well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay. The convenient location of the hostel was also a major plus, making it easy for me to explore and enjoy everything that Hualien has to offer. In conclusion, if you're an adventurous traveler seeking a one-of-a-kind experience, I highly recommend checking out Peace Prison Cafe Inn Hostel. With its prison-themed rooms, helpful staff, eerie ambiance, and convenient location, it's an ideal choice for those looking to add an exciting twist to their trip. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

GGuest UserWhen we were looking for accommodation in Kinmen, I wasn't sure I wanted to book a B&B. Looking at the accommodation available in Kinmen, it seems the majority are B&B and homestays. After having stayed at Zhu Shan Gandee, we finally realised that a good number of the traditional buildings in many of the ”villages” have been converted into accommodation. This one was in the Zhu Shan village where there are other B&Bs. There are no shops or restaurants in this village but downtown Jincheng is only a short drive away. This village is really nice and quiet (as would others I am guessing) and Zhu Shan Park is just a short stroll behind the house from which a top view of the village can be seen. Strolling around the village, this house stands out as more modern and attractive and the nicest in presentation (in my humble opinion). Inside, the common areas are excellent, well presented and homely. There are 2 courtyards to relax in and their atmospheres are so welcoming. We were out most of the time so didn't really spend too much time indoors enjoying what was on offer. Our room was a tad small but we love having a bidet to use. The bed was comfortable. A simple bread and jam breakfast is available if you choose to have it. There is plenty of ”help yourself” bottled and packet drinks in the fridge and in boxes on the floor if you don't want to drink them cold along with make yourself tea and coffee. There are no cooking facilities but there is a microwave. Finally, the lady host is really helpful and awesome. We rented a car so didn't need to be picked up. But she would go out of her way to ensure your stay is most comfortable and enjoyable. That hospitality personified.

TTobias TI recently had the opportunity to stay at ”It's Mine Hostel” in Taidong, and overall, I found it to be an okay accommodation option. Here are my thoughts on various aspects of the hostel: Atmosphere and Policies Upon arrival, one of the notable aspects of the hostel was the requirement to remove shoes before entering. Although this might inconvenience some guests, it does contribute to maintaining cleanliness throughout the premises. The hostel has a modest, laid-back atmosphere, which can be suitable for travelers seeking a relaxed environment. Room Unfortunately, I found the room to be a bit claustrophobic. The limited space made it challenging to move around comfortably. However, considering the price, it was within the acceptable range. The room was clean and tidy, which was a positive point. Service One aspect that could be improved is the level of service provided. The staff offered minimal assistance during my stay, which led to a lack of personal touch. Despite this, it's worth noting that the basic amenities and necessities were provided. Pricing Considering the reasonable price offered by ”It's Mine Hostel,” it is essential to manage expectations accordingly. While some aspects may not be perfect, the affordability of the accommodation must be taken into account when evaluating the overall value. In conclusion, ”It's Mine Hostel” in Taidong is an okay option for travelers on a budget. It is worth noting that the hostel has a relaxed atmosphere. it provides basic amenities and cleanliness. If you're willing to overlook some limitations, ”It's Mine Hostel” can be a decent choice for your stay in Taidong. I hope this review helps!

ドイchanI took the Kenting Express bus from near Fangliao Station to Kenting Pailou, which took about 70 minutes. I arrived at the hotel in a 5-minute walk from the bus stop. The owner loved cats. For dinner, the seafood restaurant Jiazhen recommended by the owner was great...it was delicious and reasonably priced👍 By the way, it was also close to Galuanbi Park, and it was about 15-20 minutes from the bus stop in the center of Kenting Main Street, so I was able to enjoy sightseeing to the fullest.
