Nanjing is a beautiful city with many attractions. Staying at Huaji Hotel made our trip very special. The rooms are beautifully appointed, with excellent service. The front desk personnel were very helpful and made us feel welcome. The shops nearby were wonderful for finding souvenirs, food, and drinks. Our room had firm, but comfortable beds, with excellent bedding. The toiletries provided included comb, razor, toothbrush and paste. The room had fresh fruit and tea, refreshed each day. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel restaurant just across the walking street. The service there was friendly and warm. Excellent hotel for a very reasonable price!

We stayed in twin room for 5 nights. The hotel is within old town district with pedestrian only walking street so taxi cannot stop in front of hotel. Meaning hv to drag luggage along alleys for about 5 to 8 minutes to get to hotel depending on where your taxi drop you off. Do note that the entrance is a littke hard to find, as they don't use big signage. From hotel to airport taking metro, we left at 1245pm, walked about 15 minutes to wudingmen metro station, reached airport at 208pm. It is within 30 minutes walking distance to yuhuamen, fujimiao area. If weather is good, i think the walk is actually nice n fun. But not during summer. Hotel leaves us fruits in room daily, n breakfast is simple but with enough selection for us to eat for 5 straight mornings. The waitress (i believe is ms 徐) is extremely warm n helpful, service taking. The night shift receptionist ms 张贝has been exceptionally lovely n helpful. She helped me contacted shop when i had issues with ordering n refund, suggested places i can eat n visit, n went the extra miles to help make our stay comfortable n cozy. Last but not least, the hotel is so beautiful, the Chinese architecture with modern comfort makes the stay a truly memorable one.

Beautiful place in an awesome location. Just. A bit difficult to find - not much signage or direction to find it.

Location is superb. The room is nicely decorated and equipped with almost everything I needed. But the service is perfunctory and distant. I don’t feel welcomed at all as a guest. And I wouldn’t choose this hotel again based on the mediocre services I got.

Cosy atmosphere for this hotel hidden behind a small wooden door in the heart of the historic pedestrian area. Nice modern rooms, delicious breakfast and warm welcoming! Many nice places to visit and discover nearby

The location is great, though it's a slight walk from the metro station or nearest taxi dropoff site. Breakfast is very yummy, and staff are really helpful. Just be careful, though. Although the hotel is lovely, it's close to a live music venue that has loud performances late into the night. It's also in an area with pretty high foot traffic, so the sound of people shopping and eating late into the night will easily reach you, too. If you're a light sleeper, this might not be the best place for you. I loved it, and I really enjoyed being so close to really good music and high energy. Just know what you're getting into. Besides the noise, though, the hotel has a really peaceful vibe and it's super comfortable. 10/10, I would stay here again.

The Huaji Hotel offers the most wonderful experience in the heart of the Old Town. The location is perfect, the hotel unique and simply wonderful, design of the rooms, the small, quiet courtyards, the wonderful decor are simply amazing and create a very authentic feeling of being in the past. Staff of the hotel is beyond helpful and friendly and nothing is ever to much. As mentioned before, the location is fantastic - stepping out of the hotel immerses a person immediately in the Old Town charm and exciting atmosphere, with many cafes, restaurants, wonderful little shops and great bars with live music. We will definitely come back, it is our favourite place in Nanjing and we won't stay anywhere else.

I decided to take my kids to Nanjing for the Dragon Boat Festival and chose Huaji Hotel in Laomendong. The hotel is located in a quiet place in the city, and the layout of the old house feels nostalgic and retro. The room is also quite comfortable, with a CD player, and the music is quite nice. There are performances in the street bar at night, the windows are soundproofed, and the air conditioner is very powerful. The front desk girl provided very good service. After checking in, there were some minor problems with the windows and TV, and she patiently helped to solve them. Thumbs up 👍 I saw that someone brought children to get toiletries and slippers for the children 😊 Breakfast is also very convenient. The restaurant is opposite the hotel, and the environment of the restaurant is more elegant. Side dishes and cakes can also be added during the period. The breakfast tastes OK.

The hotel is right next to Laomendong Deyun Club. The flower viewing room is in the attic. You can see flowers outside the bathroom window. You can sit on the attic balcony, but there are many mosquitoes in the summer. There is a bar next to it. There are some noises at night, but it becomes quiet after a while. The hotel's restaurant: I had two meals there and they were both delicious. Every step is a scene.

A unique hotel with a great experience! 👍The design of the hotel is simple and elegant. Returning to the hotel after visiting the bustling and bustling attractions will instantly soothe the body and mind and enter a state of leisure and ease. The old house is built with modern log simple design, and the service facilities are meticulous. Except for the inconvenience of pulling my suitcase on the stone pavement of the old street, the rest of the experience was great! After entering the door of the small hotel, you feel like you are in a different world, surprise!

Welcome fruit in the room: very good Tea gift box: very thoughtful The facilities, service, environment and sanitation are all excellent, especially the decoration style seems to be in the Republic of China era. Two colleagues said it was good and decided to book it next time they come to Nanjing.
