The Catalina Hotel & Beach Club Reviews

Overall the hotel is nice and friendly staff when checking in. Other staff didn’t talk to us the entire time or smile which is whatever. We booked a king bedroom and got a double which was unfortunate. The room itself was dirty. Hair on the bed, black spots everywhere and the floors seemed to not be cleaned in a while. The furniture was dirty and the corners of the bed was destroyed. The halls smelt like ****, the walls are very thin, could hear music from the room next to us for all hours of the night. We only stayed one night, wouldn’t stay longer than that. Close to the beach and other areas. They don’t have a spot on the beach for chairs or umbrellas.

Everything was excellent and fun, especially the service we received from Barby and Santi at the reception. They were warm, attentive, and helped us with any issue. The air conditioning didn't work one night, which wasn't pleasant, but the rest was perfect!

I love the free room upgrade. However it was difficult to get beach towels as they were always drying or not available. We checked multiple times and they keep saying 10 minutes. Eventually had to buy our own. Alongside that our hotel was right above a taco place so we had to listen to music blasting. The water in the shower is also set to hot and no other setting for it. The location was great though loved being close by to everything.

Good location

Excellent location, between the Convention Center and Ocean Drive. Feels a bit old and outdated, but is ok... Some staff members were not very friendly or helpful. A few were very nice though.

Don't bother with this hotel. First of all, it's not clean and the sheets are not changed. Secondly, it's too expensive. It costs 2,000 yuan a night. It's not as good as a two-star hotel in China. There is no star-rated hotel at all. The hotel facilities are very old and the floors are warped. , there is rust everywhere, all kinds of handles are rusty, fourth the service attitude is very bad. The flight was in the evening, so I wanted to stay a few more hours and delay check-out, but the front desk said that I had to either book an extra night or check out. The fifth bar is downstairs and very noisy at night.
