Aura on Flinders Serviced Apartments Reviews

This is a serviced apartment located in the core business district of Melbourne, about a five-minute walk from Southern Cross Station (the pick-up and drop-off point for the airport Air-bus, about a 30-minute drive from the airport). There is a 24-hour convenience store downstairs from the apartment, and it is within the free cable car. It is about a ten-minute walk from Crown Plaza. The room had a strong curry smell left over from cooking. I ordered a double bed online, but there were two single beds in the room. After requesting a room change, the staff responded proactively and had a friendly attitude. The new room still has a balcony, a view of the downtown area, an electric stove, an oven, an ironing board and a washer and dryer, giving it the feel of a small home. But the air conditioner is unstable, sometimes hot air, sometimes cold air. The ventilation in the bathroom is not very strong and the steam lingers for a long time after bathing. The smell in the room was old and had nothing to do with the cooking done by the previous guests. The sound insulation of the room is not ideal. You can easily hear the sound in the room after the bathroom is closed, and it is not difficult to hear some noise from the corridor outside the room. In addition, the sofa in the lobby was still stained after being wiped three times with wet paper towels, and fingerprints were found. It was guessed that it was traces of oil fumes from the previous guest's cooking, and the staff did not pay attention during cleaning. When I checked in, it was clearly stated in black and white that the room did not need to be cleaned. However, on the third day, a simple cleaning was done without notice. When I came back and saw it, I felt embarrassed and speechless (there was no reserved space outside the door saying "Do Not Disturb"). After staying for four days, I visually observed that a large proportion of guests from India, the Middle East, South America, and Southeast Asia have yellow and white skin. Would not stay in this apartment again.
