Our family of three traveled to Harbin during the Dragon Boat Festival. Since our daughter wanted to visit the Siberian Tiger Park, we booked this five-star hotel nearby. Although it's a bit far from the city center in Songbei, the hotel generally exceeded our expectations. First, the doorman was very welcoming and helped us with our luggage. The room was clean and tidy. What surprised us most was the incredible water pressure in the shower, even on the seventeenth floor; showering was incredibly comfortable. We've stayed in a few five-star hotels these past few days, and this one had the best shower experience by far. Also, the soundproofing was excellent; we couldn't hear any outside noise. The view from the window was also lovely, as the hotel is right next to the Songhua River.

Didi navigation needs to be set to Shimao Avenue Exit 3, otherwise you'll end up behind the building. It's really close to the subway, about 30 meters. There are only 4 washing machines, so if you need laundry service, don't choose this place. There are only 2 elevators for 24 floors, so you'll wait a long time. The bed in the room is very large, easily accommodating 3 people. The bathroom design is impractical; there's nowhere to put your clothes. There are few amenities and services nearby.

Extremely satisfied with my stay. The location is great, about a 30-minute drive from both the high-speed train station and the airport. **Ambiance:** The lobby, like other Mandarin Oriental hotels, is very grand and impressive. **Facilities:** The facilities are well-maintained, but it doesn't have smart home features throughout the room. **Cleanliness:** Overall, it was clean and tidy. **Service:** The service was excellent, very warm and attentive. Today was 'Lidong' (Beginning of Winter), and they even specially served dumplings for breakfast, which was a really thoughtful touch.

The hotel is very close to where I needed to go for my business trip. It's really convenient for getting around; going to the Ice and Snow World and Sun Island is super easy. The subway station is just a 3-minute walk from the entrance. The service was excellent; the front desk staff upgraded my room and gave me free breakfast, which was very thoughtful. I'll definitely recommend this place to my friends in the future.

What's it like to be a ”castle owner” for a night? The Sun Island Castle Hotel, located on the scenic banks of the Songhua River, boasts a charming European architectural style. The first floor is home to various small eateries, while the entire second floor is dedicated to the hotel guest rooms. From the third floor, you can directly access the cross-river cable car, and the fourth floor houses the Chocolate Castle Museum. This museum features an incredibly diverse collection of chocolates, and outside, there's an observation deck – a superb spot to admire the Songhua River's night view. The hotel's location is excellent, offering incredibly convenient transportation. Besides the cable car, you can also take a cruise ship across the river. The sightseeing bus also stops here, making it easy to visit all the attractions on Sun Island, with the freedom to hop on and off as you please. This time, I stayed in the most affordable ”Viscount Interior Room.” The room was spacious and well-equipped, with furnishings that truly captured the grand essence of a castle. The only minor drawback was the lack of a window, meaning I couldn't enjoy the natural scenery outside – a small regret. It's worth noting that, compared to the opulent guest rooms, the hotel's front desk seemed a bit understated. The small reception counter is tucked away in a corner on the first floor, which felt a little out of sync with the ”Chocolate Castle” theme. Personally, I suggest designing the front desk in the shape of chocolate and having the reception staff wear more distinctive attire. Wouldn't that better align with the magical theme of this place? Overall, this was a surprisingly delightful stay, highly recommended for those who appreciate unique hotels.

The hotel is conveniently located near an indoor ski resort, and our room was very comfortable. It also has a lovely back garden and is close to Sunac Land. We were extremely happy with our stay and really appreciate the hard work of the front desk staff. The hotel offers a free gym and swimming pool on the fifth floor, both of which were very clean. Our room was great too. Overall, we were very satisfied.

No need to get up early to rush around, and no worries about not being able to get back late. The hotel was clean and hygienic overall, the rooms were spacious, with excellent natural light and ventilation, and the bed was just the right firmness for a very comfortable sleep. The service was excellent; the front desk staff were warm and patient, the housekeeping staff were thorough, and the amenities were neatly arranged. The facilities were well-maintained, with no damage or wear and tear, and the WiFi was fast. The surrounding area is convenient, with many dining options and easy access to transportation. After comparing several hotels, this one offered the best overall value. It was a comfortable and hassle-free stay, and definitely a great choice for visiting Sunac Land. I've already recommended it to my friends, and I'll definitely come back again!

You can directly access the Polar Pavilion from the hotel, so whenever the kids get tired, we could just head back to the room to rest without lugging them and our bags around – it's so family-friendly! It’s also very close to the Ice and Snow World and Central Street, just a few subway stops away, making getting around super easy. We booked the Polar Bear Family Room, which features huge panoramic windows. We could lie in bed and watch the polar bears swim, pace, and play with balls – it was a truly immersive experience! My little one would wake up in the morning and immediately press their face against the glass to watch, and at night, they'd fall asleep with the polar bears as their 'companions,' they were so excited. The hotel truly understands the needs of families with children! The room had exclusive bunk beds for kids, equipped with a full set of children's amenities: cartoon slippers, a mini toilet seat, kids' bathrobes, and toiletries. They even provided drawing supplies – the attention to detail was incredible. The public areas also featured a polar bear-themed playground and a picture book corner. Even the elevators had polar bear animations, making waiting for the elevator a fun experience. Every day, there were rich family activities: polar bear science classes, arts and crafts, and night tours of the Polar Pavilion. The kids could do crafts themselves, learn about animals, and have an amazing time, completely freeing up the parents! The restaurant boasts a panoramic glass design, so we could enjoy breakfast while watching the polar bears play below our feet – a truly unique experience. The breakfast spread was extensive, with soft bread, wontons, and cartoon-shaped buns suitable for children. The food tasted great, and my little one ate so happily. All the staff were incredibly gentle and kind. Check-in was efficient and quick, and they proactively explained the family activities and polar bear viewing times. They thoughtfully provided a baby cot and bed rail for families with children, and even gave us a polar bear plushie and a science picture book, which made my child so happy they couldn't put them down. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the heating was super strong, making it feel like spring even in winter – a truly comfortable stay. The Harbin Polarland Polar Bear Hotel perfectly combines a family-friendly experience with a polar theme. Its convenient location, thoughtful facilities, warm service, and unique immersive polar bear viewing experience make it a must-stay hotel for families visiting Harbin! The owner is really great, a very straightforward and understanding person. The environment is clean and hygienic, the layout is cozy, and the furnishings and equipment are brand new. There's a bit of mechanical noise at night from the elevator side, but it's not too serious. Overall, it's pretty good.
