Japan is renowned worldwide for its tea ceremony (Chado) and flower arranging (Kado). The tea ceremony is a distinctive culinary art and a form of social etiquette for tea gatherings. It not only requires an elegant and natural environment but also dictates a precise set of procedures for boiling, brewing, and tasting tea. Great care is taken in selecting and appreciating tea utensils, arranging and decorating the tearoom's calligraphy and paintings, and even in the construction of the tearoom itself. The Japanese view the tea ceremony as a means of self-cultivation, enhancing cultural literacy, and socializing.

I had a unique memory of the 'Ice City' in early September while staying at Oulugoya. The hotel is located on the north bank of the Songhua River, offering a rare sense of tranquility and leisure, away from the hustle and bustle of Central Avenue in Daoli District. The room facilities were complete, the bedding was very comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, making for a quiet stay. The 42nd-floor lobby bar and executive lounge offer a 270-degree panoramic view of the river and city, which was a major reason for choosing this hotel. It allowed me to avoid crowds and enjoy the northern sunset in solitude – every photo I took was incredibly therapeutic. The only minor drawbacks were the limited surrounding amenities, with most good restaurants being a 3-5 minute drive away. Also, every time I needed to go up or down, I had to go to the 42nd-floor lobby, and the card sensor for the elevator didn't always work perfectly. However, there was a girl named Shuqi outside the lounge who patiently explained things to guests with great attention to detail. During our conversation, she also introduced me to the hotel's brand philosophy and essence, which indeed aligns perfectly with my travel and vacation needs. Thanks for this time spent with Oulugoya. We'll meet again, just like mountains and rivers do. ^_^

We had a wonderful stay at Shangri-La Songbei, Harbin. The room was beautiful, spotless, and offered an amazing view of the Songhua River. Access to the Horizon Lounge made our stay even more relaxing, and it was the perfect place to unwind after a long journey. I would especially like to thank Cherry and Linda from the Horizon Lounge on the 28th floor for their outstanding service. Cherry was incredibly professional. From my second visit to the lounge onward, she remembered my room number and greeted me before I even had to say it. Her attention to detail and excellent memory made me feel genuinely welcomed and valued as a guest. Linda was equally wonderful. Since I don’t speak Chinese very well, she patiently explained every type of tea in excellent English and kindly answered all of my questions. Whenever I requested something, she always brought it with great care and attention. Her thoughtful and attentive service was truly impressive. Both Cherry and Linda were exceptionally kind, professional, and attentive throughout my stay. They made my experience at the Horizon Lounge even more enjoyable, and I sincerely appreciate everything they did. They are a true credit to the Shangri-La team. I look forward to seeing them again on my next visit.

I checked into this hotel late at night. Coming from the south, I found the northern air quite dry, but the hotel thoughtfully provided a humidifier. As soon as I entered the room, I noticed how nice the environment was, and the air inside felt fresh. The breakfast selection was also quite rich, and they even had noodles available at 8 AM! There's also a 24-hour convenience store at the hotel, and you can even try candied hawthorn (bīng táng húlu) there. Overall, this hotel is definitely worth staying at.

The room was huge, we didn't even have enough time to enjoy it all in three days and two nights, haha! The hot springs were clean! The 'yin-yang' hot pot-style pool was hilarious! The outdoor swimming pool was also fantastic! The water was so clean, and there were interactive activities at 3 PM which were a lot of fun! The staff were also very enthusiastic ❤️

Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this hotel. The room was clean with no strange odors, and the bedding was soft. The soundproofing was excellent. Check-in at the front desk was efficient and friendly. There was plenty of hot water, and all the facilities were great. The location is very convenient, making it easy to get around and find food. It offers excellent value for money. I'll definitely choose this place again for my next trip. The young man at the front desk was particularly warm, attentive, and thoughtful.

1. There were only two staff members checking people in, and it took almost 15 minutes to complete the check-in process. It was incredibly slow. 2. The hotel's shoehorn was broken! It wasn't until the third day of my stay that the housekeeping staff finally noticed and replaced it. This clearly shows the hotel doesn't inspect room amenities for damage or updates before guests check in. 3. The hotel gym equipment is generally good, but during my four-night stay, I went to the gym twice and there was no drinking water or towels available either time. On the positive side: 1. The hotel's pillows are the most comfortable I've slept on in any hotel in the past three years, bar none. 2. The hotel is located right next to wetlands, and the room was very quiet overall. There were absolutely no issues affecting my sleep. 3. The hotel's breakfast quality was good, basically satisfying all needs for both Chinese and Western cuisine. Overall, the hotel's price and quality are severely disproportionate. The value for money is not only poor, but it's even worse than a 500 yuan hotel next door. I won't be considering staying here again.

The hotel is located on Sun Island, right next to the entrance, which is a great location. It faces the Songhua River and is backed by Sun Island. The scenic area is lively, with a night market and restaurants, and you can also rent bicycles for a tour around the island. The room has a vintage feel, mainly furnished with mahogany, and I really like the color scheme. I have some suggestions regarding breakfast. Firstly, the trolley for collecting dishes is too noisy. Could you possibly put silent rubber pads on the wheels, or perhaps the manager could experience firsthand what it's like when the noisy trolley passes by while you're trying to enjoy a quiet breakfast?

it locate far from metro but easy to find Didi. room is very clean and also provide free porridge, laundry room. whic is great for long trip. it cost also very reasonable.  heat water is super super fast, i mean it hot within 2 sec!!!! trust me!. however for my lack of experience, i try to make my room have some cool air (26 degree) but it seem cant and i dont know how to adjust it 😅 so my night is quite hot. but most experience is great
