Hotels in Shuanglang Scenic Area, Dali City

We specifically traveled all the way from Haixi to Haidong just to experience a waterfront room. The location is truly right by the water, and being so close to Erhai Lake is absolutely stunning – perfect for photos without any visual obstructions. Even though it's a guesthouse, the room amenities and supplies are incredibly high-end, definitely on par with many four-star hotels. The service was also exceptional; they provided pick-up and drop-off and helped with luggage, even bringing us hot milk when we arrived late at night. When we left, they subtly gave us a nice box of brown sugar as a souvenir, without pressuring us for a good review. However, my whole family insisted that I, as their representative, come back and leave a glowing review! 😂

Jingyun B&B was a wonderful surprise! The huge floor-to-ceiling window in the room was exactly like the photos online, even more beautiful and real. You can lie in bed and see Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake! The online photos are accurate, but reality is even better! It offers great value for money, far exceeding my expectations. The location is also excellent. It's very convenient to get to Shuanglang Ancient Town by electric car, regular car, Didi (ride-hailing), or bicycle. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and ordering takeout is also easy. The owner is very warm and hospitable, feeling just like an old friend. There's plenty of space to relax: a parking lot, a garden, an orchard, and a tea area. It's spacious and comfortable to stay in, and my family really enjoyed it, so I highly recommend it!

The hotel is not big, relatively quiet, and very clean. There's a shuttle bus to the main scenic area, and it's also very convenient to walk there. A bit of a price hike during peak season is understandable. I'd suggest to the owner that for guests checking in on the day, it would be a nice touch to add them on WeChat beforehand to clarify service details and facilities.

Traveling solo to the seaside to unwind, choosing the right accommodation truly doubled my happiness. The cleanliness standards here far exceeded my expectations; there was no dust accumulated on the room ceiling, windowsills, or cabinet tops. The bedding was neat and dry, and the bathroom was dry with no mildew, making every return to the room feel fresh and comfortable. The location is quiet and livable, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and the coastal promenade is just a few minutes' walk away, making strolls by the sea very pleasant. The owner is friendly and approachable, always quick to resolve any issues whether online or in person. All the furnishings and amenities are brand new. The bedroom features a high-definition giant projector screen, which was incredibly therapeutic for watching movies in bed with the lights off at night. The guesthouse also has a charming small garden with various well-maintained plants and flowers; sitting in the courtyard to enjoy the breeze and read was incredibly relaxing. All the household appliances are new and well-equipped. For a solo vacation, staying here is quiet and comfortable.

Seriously, if you're coming to Erhai Lake, I highly recommend finding a lakeside hotel like this one. The whole vacation vibe just hits you the moment you step in! The hotel offers a fantastic view of Erhai Lake, and the rooms each have a private balcony – perfect for watching the sunset with a great ambiance in the evening. The room is well-equipped with amenities, snacks, and drinks 🍻. I especially loved the Marshall speaker; it made for a perfect staycation. ✔️ For service, if you book in advance, the concierge will help with your luggage during check-in and check-out. Plus, for those who love taking photos, every room comes with a complimentary travel photoshoot📸. My girlfriends and I spent a whole day here and never got bored. ✔️ Beautiful lakeside scenery ✔️ Thoughtful afternoon tea service ✔️ Comfortable and stylish resort-like environment ✔️ A little sweet treat before bed. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Dali! I absolutely adore this hotel!!

The B&B is about a 15 to 20-minute drive from Shuanglang Ancient Town, which I found to be a quiet and comfortable distance. The mountain and water views from the window were a real treat every morning! Our stay included breakfast, afternoon tea, and a goodnight milk. The service was excellent and the staff were very communicative. They even prepared a thoughtful souvenir for us when we checked out. Overall, it was a great experience 👍🏻 Just a small suggestion: when we first checked in, there were some stains on the toilet that hadn't been cleaned. We contacted the front desk and they sent someone to clean it right away, but it did make us feel a little uncomfortable. After all, most guests prioritize cleanliness, especially in areas like the toilet. So, I hope more attention can be paid to cleaning in the future to ensure guests have a good first impression.

The hotel environment is quite good, and the room was spacious. When booking, the front desk asked if I wanted a room facing the courtyard or Cangshan Mountain. I thought the Cangshan view would be nice, so I chose that. However, the front desk didn't mention that the rooms facing Cangshan Mountain are right by the main road, which has a lot of traffic and can be a bit noisy. Luckily, I only stayed for one night; otherwise, I would have needed to change rooms. Also, there's no key card access in the elevator, so anyone can go directly to the guest rooms, which feels like a bit of a security lapse. The air conditioning unit in the room was a bit dirty and clogged. On the plus side, the public laundry room is excellent! Besides the washer and dryer, they also have a sterilization machine, which is something you rarely see in other hotels – a big thumbs up for that!

The butler service is attentive and reliable. The scenery is superb, and the facilities are impeccable – with underfloor heating from the bathroom to the restaurant. The owner has excellent taste that perfectly matches my aesthetic. All the materials used are very solid. If you're on vacation, I recommend booking for several nights. My only regret is that I only booked one day. For breakfast, I suggest adding Western options like sandwiches. I really couldn't eat the rice noodles 😂. Next time I'm in Dali, I will definitely come back here.

This hotel in Shuanglang is incredibly convenient, located near Xihai Mu Dui and many other beautiful restaurants! You do need to climb a dozen or so steps to reach the hotel, but the stairs are lined with beautiful flowers. Once you get to the entrance, you'll find that the entire ground floor is an open lobby and lounge area (unlike other guesthouses that cram rooms onto the first floor, making things feel cramped). The front desk even has freshly brewed herbal tea, and the breakfast is absolutely delicious – rich in variety and perfectly balanced. The room was an even bigger surprise; it's very spacious with a fantastic layout that feels so comfortable. You can see the sea right from your bed, and the private balcony is huge. Sitting out there in the evening was the most relaxing part of my trip to Shuanglang. A big thank you to the hotel butler for the warm and thoughtful pick-up and drop-off service, and for helping with my luggage. I had a wonderful two-day stay.

The biggest highlight of my trip to Dali was staying at this frontline sea-view guesthouse in Qingshan Village, Shuanglang Town. We originally booked a side sea-view room, but seeing the absolutely perfect weather in Dali, we changed to a full sea-view room last minute. It was a 10/10 experience, truly highly recommended! The guesthouse's sunny day views are absolutely stunning, an irreplaceable and healing panorama. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows in the rooms offer unobstructed views of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake. On clear days, the crystal-clear blue sky merges with the turquoise waters of Erhai, and the sunlight sparkling on the lake creates a gentle, shimmering effect. Waking up to soft light in the morning, with light mists swirling around the distant mountains; in the afternoon, the sun bathes the courtyard and the lake; and in the evening, the sunset paints Erhai in a soft, orange-golden hue. Every frame of scenery needs no filter, and any casual photo becomes a stunning, healing masterpiece, allowing you to immerse yourself in the magnificent scenery of Cangshan and Erhai. This place perfectly embodies the slow pace of life in Dali, completely curing the fatigue of city life. Away from the hustle and bustle of the ancient town, Qingshan Village is exceptionally quiet and tranquil. There's no need to rush your itinerary; in the morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast by the window, listening to the gentle breeze and the soft lapping of waves. In the afternoon, curl up on the sofa or a lounge chair on the terrace, reading or daydreaming, watching the clouds drift by. The guesthouse's atmosphere is gentle and relaxing, with no hurried pace, allowing you to unconsciously slow down and fully enjoy the leisure and freedom of solitude. The entire guesthouse exudes a strong vacation vibe. The simple, fresh decor is clean and elegant, and every detail in the public areas and rooms shows exquisite care. The viewing angles are superb, allowing you to embrace the mountain and sea scenery at any time. It offers excellent privacy, quiet and comfortable, far from the crowds, allowing you to enjoy a peaceful mountain and sea retreat all to yourself. Here, you can put aside all work and worries, spend your days by the Erhai Lake, and immerse yourself in the gentleness and romance of Dali – a truly relaxing and comfortable vacation experience. After just a few days of stay, I completely fell in love with the Cangshan Mountain, Erhai Lake, and the slow pace of life here. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Dali. It's truly perfect for a solo trip or a family vacation!
