The Grand House Chongqing is a village within a village, near the entrance to the Dazu Rock Carvings. It is very well run and works like a little community. Reception staff were welcoming, provided a shuttle to the park and saw me off for my early start. Staff were friendly and helpful as were the people of the 'village'. The room was comfortable and clean. And the breakfast was one of the best of my 5 week trip, the dining room too. It is an ideal hotel to stay at when visiting the Dazu Rock Carvings. Xiexie

Location is great for sighting at 大足. Hotel has a beautiful ancient feel in exterior architecture as well as room interior. We wished we could spend more nights here. Highly recommend.

we really loved this place and wished we can stay longer. we were upgraded to a room facing the lake. excellent service. the temperature dropped but the central aircon was still in cooling mode so they gave up a heater. a bit quiet though after the national day holiday peak.

Its exactly next to the entrance rooms have nostalgic feeling of history , surrounding area is aesthetically beautiful I enjoyed walking around in the morning and evening Breakfast was surprisingly good and they had good coffee which is difficult to get when you travel in China Service was very good and at reception they were eager to help every time I went there , one girl came to drop me till the bus station when I was leaving . Over all very good experience I will highly recommend to any one

Actually a very good reconsteuction of a traditional Xhinese village. Out of the way but a good breakfast and a perfect location for the Buddhist carving. Countryfied and very quiet.

hotel staff were very friendly, the environment was quiet and very peaceful, very close to the main site. really enjoyed my stay, thank you! if there were black tea at breakfast would be superb.

When we came to the Dazu Rock Carvings Scenic Area, we felt surprisingly good staying at Guantang Hotel. The reception of Xiao Lai at the front desk was warm, patient and meticulous. The room facilities were complete, the scenery outside the balcony was pleasant, and the breakfast was rich and delicious.
