In general, the hotel is not bad at all, but definitely not 5* worthy! We have booked two rooms, 1 for us and 1 for the kids, but both rooms has cigarette odors. Furniture are looking very old fashioned and used out. The television is not working really good and sometimes really laggy, ok not the most important part, but has to be mentioned. The breakfast is good as well but staying for 3-4 nights, you would have mostly 4 times the same food selection with slight changes. Compared to Huatian hotel, which is nearby a completely different story with almost same price level. The good side is, the service is good and everyday the rooms are fully cleaned! The swimming pool is also closing really late, so the kids can enjoy swimming after a long travel! As a summary: good hotel with good location. For family not the best choice but for traveler without kids and not allergic to smoking odors it could work! 3 to 4* from our point of view!

It was my first time to come to Tongcheng Hot Springs and I felt very comfortable staying here. I have been to so many hot spring hotels and still think this one is really great. The best thing here is that the service level is really considerate and comparable to that of peers. This time, my friend was not feeling well, and Xiao Wen at the front desk helped prepare brown sugar ginger water and delivered it directly to our room. I was very hungry after taking a hot spring bath at night, so the takeaway I ordered was delivered to my room. We were helped with our luggage during check-in and check-out, and we were asked if we needed a late check-out. The whole stay experience was really good. The hotel breakfast is also good, with a wide variety, especially the rice noodles are delicious. Although the room is decorated in a retro style, the bed is big and very comfortable. The hotel is very close to the hot spring, on the first floor of the building where we live, so it's no problem even if the weather is cold. We will definitely stay here next time we visit!
