Location is within walking distance to the cable car station for Tianmen Mountain. The room is spacious and comfortable. The staff are attentive and friendly, always ready to assist when needed. The breakfast spread is good and offers a nice variety. Popular Local Bubble tea is just round the corner.

The handsome guys and beautiful ladies at the front desk are super enthusiastic and have an amazing attitude. They always address our needs and questions promptly. The hotel facilities are also very complete, and the room hygiene is spotless, which is simply fantastic. What's even better is that the Huangguang Plaza subway station is just a right turn from the exit. Plus, there's a smart assistant (Xiao Du), and the projector delivers super clear visuals. They even offer free laundry and drying services. From 8 PM to 10 PM, there's even a bowl of congee available; we just need to scan the QR code nearby, and someone will deliver it to us. It's truly excellent, mainly because it's just so great!

We checked in on Christmas Eve, and the hotel surprised us with complimentary apples and an afternoon tea set. The front desk staff was fantastic, especially one lady who even brewed tea for guests – a warm cup of tea in winter was such a lovely touch! The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the facilities were great, including a washing machine and a gym. I found the breakfast selection to be quite varied and delicious! We stayed for three days, and there were different dishes each morning. The soundproofing in the room was pretty good; we slept comfortably every night. I loved the smart control system, Xiao Xi – I kept talking to it, and it worked flawlessly! The location is also excellent, with a subway station and Wuyi Square nearby, making it super convenient. I'm very satisfied and highly recommend this hotel!

The service was really great, and the room we were given was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was also delicious, and the restaurant staff were warm and attentive. A special shout-out to the front desk staff, who were incredibly thoughtful and promptly resolved any issues we had. We're very satisfied! The hotel is also close to the subway station, and there's plenty of parking available with charging stations. It only takes about 10 minutes to get to the train station. Overall, we're very happy with the hotel and would choose it again if we have the chance.

Traveling to Changsha with my child, we checked in late at night. When I was looking for hotels, I found this one had a great location and wasn't expensive, but there were quite a few negative reviews, which made me a bit hesitant. So, I decided to book just one night to try it out.
Regarding the room: I booked an exotic-themed room. There were many country-specific styles to choose from, which was a huge draw for my child. We ended up picking the Aegean Sea style. Upon entering, I found the room's decor and details to be very authentic and true to the pictures. My child was super excited, taking photos and sending them to classmates. At my child's request, we booked another night here the next day, but switched to a different themed room.
Regarding the facilities: It's true, as some reviews mentioned, the elevators are a bit old, and one of them makes a slight noise. Since it's a high-rise building, waiting times for the four elevators can be a bit long. However, we were out late and came back late, so it didn't really affect us.
Regarding the view: The room I booked did offer a direct river view, but you look at the river through the window (which can only be opened slightly for ventilation), so it's a little blurry.
Regarding noise: Since the hotel is along the street, there is some noise. But perhaps because we were on a high floor (we stayed on the 21st floor), or because we're not very sensitive to noise, we weren't really bothered by it. Specifically, we arrived at the hotel between 11 PM and midnight on both nights and woke up naturally around 10 AM the next day. We weren't woken up by noise at all during this time. However, on the second night, we forgot to close the window before going to bed, and in the morning, we could hear someone playing music downstairs.
Regarding the location: This is a no-brainer. The Xiang River is right across the street, the subway station is next door, and it's just a short walk to Taiping Street, Pozi Street, and other places. Extremely convenient.

Overall, everything was great, and the service was excellent. I felt safe and comfortable during my stay. I'd particularly like to share three things: First, on the second day after checking in, we were studying and forgot to turn on the 'make up room' light when we left. To my surprise, a staff member came to our room in the afternoon specifically to ask if we needed cleaning. I've stayed in many hotels, and honestly, this level of proactive service is something I've never encountered before. Thumbs up to you all! 👍 Second, while cleaning, they even took the initiative to clean my phone charger, which was totally unexpected. Third, after staying for four days, just as I was about to check out, I realized my back brace was missing. I then remembered I'd left it in the restaurant on the second day. After calling to inquire, the restaurant immediately brought it to my room. While the back brace wasn't expensive, the fact that they took such good care of a customer's forgotten item and returned it so promptly is incredibly reassuring. Thumbs up! 👍

I arrived early to check in, but there were no rooms available. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and upgraded my room for free. They really thought of everything and asked if I needed anything. The hotel's soundproofing is excellent too. The Nankoulu subway station, which is also the entrance to the pedestrian street, is just 50 meters downstairs. The location is really good. They even gave me a small gift when I checked out.
The night before, I booked the Hilton Changsha Shimao through the Hilton platform, and the experience was utterly terrible. The soundproofing was awful. I was woken up at 3 AM by noise from the hallway and didn't sleep a wink all night, ending up with a pounding headache.
First thing in the morning, I rebooked at the InterContinental via Trip.com. Miss Anna Jiang at the front desk was incredibly professional, friendly, and genuinely warm. I was so touched! She walked me to the elevator, introduced me to the hotel facilities and restaurants. She even pre-warned me that the river view rooms are near the elevators and to let them know if I experienced any noise so I could switch rooms. The concierge staff were also very proactive and helpful; I really appreciate their assistance.
Although the hotel's hardware facilities are a bit old, they are well-maintained and clean. The room view was lovely, overlooking the delta where the Liuyang River and Xiang River converge. There's a direct passage to the adjacent shopping malls (Beichenhui/Joy City), making dining and shopping very convenient.
Breakfast here has the best Western pastries among all the international brand hotels I've stayed at in the past few months. It really suited my preferences, and the coffee was made with an espresso machine. There were also plenty of Chinese options, including rice noodles, but the texture wasn't quite to my liking; they were a bit too thick.
Before checking out, I realized I'd left a ring in the room. I called, and they informed me it had already been found and sent to the concierge. It was perfect timing as I was just returning from visiting the Changsha Museum and picked it up on my way back. Oh, and right across from the hotel are the 'Three Museums and One Hall,' which are within walking distance.
For food deliveries, you have to pick them up from external lockers, which is understandable and acceptable to me.
This was my first time in Changsha, and I stumbled upon this hotel while searching. Seeing many positive reviews and clean-looking photos, I booked three nights directly. Upon check-in, I found everything to be consistent with the pictures and comments – the environment was tidy and comfortable.
The hotel's location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from Yuanpeiqiao Metro Station. It wasn't until I checked out on the last day that I discovered there's a dedicated hotel elevator that goes straight to the lobby (pictured in image one, just past Lawson). Although there are only three elevators to the upper floors, requiring a short wait, it was perfectly acceptable for me.
The room was clean, and the bed was very soft; I personally found it incredibly comfortable for sleeping. Sitting on the chair, I could watch the sunset, which felt wonderful and very therapeutic.
I didn't get to experience the hotel's other facilities this time (it got cold during my stay, so it was just too chilly 😂), and I didn't book breakfast because there were plenty of convenient food options nearby. However, other guests' reviews seemed positive, so I'd like to try them next time.
The soundproofing isn't perfect, and there's a small gap in the curtains, but the hotel thoughtfully provided an eye mask and earplugs, so it didn't bother me much.
Overall, my stay was very satisfying, so I gave it a five-star rating and genuinely recommend it! They also have river-view rooms, which I imagine offer even better views – I definitely want to try one next time if I get the chance.

Overall, it was good for me. The room type that we chose is just standard for us. The lady from the front office actually recommended that we can upgrade the room as we brought 4 big pieces of luggage, but we were okay with the one we booked. If you arrived earlier, you can actually store your luggage in the hotel earlier.
I don’t have the picture of the place and my room, but I guess this is a refurbished apartment that has been turned into a hotel/inn. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes right below the apartment.
The food and drinks here are delicious and nice. The lady from the front office was friendly too!

GGuest UserExceptional Stay at Zhangjiajie Sunshine Hotel
My recent three-night stay at Zhangjiajie Sunshine Hotel was absolute perfection! The second I walked in, the front desk team welcomed me warmly and finished check-in in minutes—no tedious waiting at all.
My room was impeccably clean, with a plush bed that had me sleeping soundly each night. Waking up to the faint view of Zhangjiajie’s lush mountains through the window was a lovely surprise, and the room’s quietness made it ideal for relaxing after day trips.
The breakfast buffet shone with fresh options, from crispy pastries to hearty hot dishes, and the coffee was always smooth. What truly made this stay unforgettable was Service Steward Xiao Yu—he remembered my preference for early breakfast, helped arrange a timely taxi to the scenic area, and even left a note with local snack recommendations.
I’ll 100% book Zhangjiajie Sunshine Hotel again on my next trip and can’t recommend it enough—especially if you get to be assisted by Xiao Yu!
2203823****The hotel's location is right next to Qifeng Square. Although it's not in the absolute heart of the ancient city's main attractions, Fenghuang Ancient City isn't that big, so everything is within easy walking distance. You can reach Hongqiao and the stilt houses in less than ten minutes by heading south from the hotel – those who enjoy city walks won't find it far at all. If you're coming to Fenghuang by high-speed rail, the special line bus from the high-speed rail station to Qifeng Square stops right at the hotel entrance. And if you're joining a day tour arranged locally, most of them also gather at Qifeng Square, so the transportation is very convenient. The rooms are equipped with an 'Xiaodu' smart speaker for controlling devices, and the hotel breakfast is quite varied. The housekeeper was very thoughtful, sending check-in instructions to my phone for easy reference.
GGuest UserThis was one of the best hotels on my 3 week vacation in China! Which is incredible to say as most hotels are excellent here! The location, views, rooftop garden with panorama views of Tianmen, also from your balcony are SO understated! The quality of upkeep in the rooms is another highly recommended feature - the bathtub in the room over looking the mountains was the highlight after a long day in the mountains! They even gave me a cute gift when checking out, which was unexpected surprise over the incredible hospitality! I will definitely revisit when I’m in Zhangjiajie!
GGuest UserThe hotel is run by siblings. All three owners were very friendly, helpful, and placed great emphasis on service. We were picked up from the airport free of charge.
We stayed for three days. During this time, the hotel owners recommended the most beautiful hiking routes in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianmen Mountain and obtained all the necessary tickets for us.
Although the owners spoke very little English, communication went very well thanks to their excellent translation tools.
The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The owners also gave us great tips for restaurants in the area.
The rooms are beautifully designed, large, and clean.
We had to leave very early in the morning, before breakfast. But we were given a very tasty and filling packed lunch for the journey. We would like to thank the owners once again for the wonderful stay and the great service. We can highly recommend this hotel. It was a lovely stay.
GGuest UserThe best reception in any resort I have ever gotten!
Mainly Cherry received us very warmly, guided us, produced us with a lot of helpful tips and tricks.
The room we stayed in was the Watery B one, very spacious, nice bathtub and very clean.
Location-wise they provide you with free shuttles to the train station, Natural Park (Avatar) & Glass Bridge.
The food in the Chinese hotel was nice, with a very talented singer, Monica.
The owner of the hotel is very warm, curious and smart person.
Altogether, we felt home there and will 100% return!
GGuest UserThis hotel went above and beyond during my stay. Rain who first greeted us was helpful from the very beginning of the stay until the very end. The hotel provided a detailed route for the Zhangjiajie National Park and even provided transportation to the park and pick up once completed. In addition they assisted with the luggage during check in and check out. If flying or riding into Zhangjiajie, the hotel does offer setting up transportation to and from the hotel if needed at a very reasonable fee. The hotel offered a buffet breakfast and complimentary tea with the tea master, who was also amazing at making the stay feel very welcoming. Once the tea master and Rain found out it was my birthday they made my day one to remember. The tea master wrote me a congratulatory calligraphy scroll and set up a cake with Rain to be given to me as well. The hotel also offered activities every evening. On the day I was able to attend, they taught me how to make peach cookies which was so fun and delicious. The tea master also showed us how to do calligraphy while we waited for the cookies to be baked. Rain set up a Wechat with the staff where I was able to conveniently pre order dinner, which was super delicious. My favorite was the eggplant with pork. I can't express in enough words how everyone here made the stay the most enjoyable. For anyone visiting Zhangjiajie, I highly recommend staying here. I wish I could have spent more nights here to enjoy the entire resort such as the heated pool and sunset terrace.
AAllenguoguoAfter years of staying in hotels on our trips, we decided to try a guesthouse this time, and it was a fantastic experience! The owner was incredibly welcoming and hospitable. Our accommodation was a beautiful Xiangxi stilt house, set in a lovely environment. Surrounded by mountains, the scenery was stunning. It was quiet, safe, and even had an outdoor swimming pool, which the kids absolutely loved. We could also take the little ones fishing, prawning, and feeding cats – truly perfect for families!
All the food served was home-grown and home-raised by the owner. The local free-range chicken was delicious, and the cured pork hock was also excellent. They prepared the Sanxiaguo dish exactly to our liking, adjusting it to our preferences. The ingredients were fresh, clean, and completely trustworthy. Plus, the courtyard dining area offered wonderful views. For a trip, you really can't beat a place with such a wonderful, peaceful, and relaxing environment. What's more, it's conveniently located not far from the Zhangjiajie Scenic Area, just about a twenty-minute drive away. Giving this guesthouse a perfect 100% rating!
GGuest UserThis guesthouse is highly, highly recommended! The service is outstanding. As soon as I booked, a staff member contacted me to ask about my needs and help plan my itinerary. At the time, I knew absolutely nothing about the Forest Park and hadn't done any research; I just wanted to secure accommodation first and figure out the rest later. But the guesthouse staff organized everything perfectly for me. Even before I arrived, they were considering all the details. I was traveling with my mom and child, so I tend to be quite cautious, worried about this and that. Turns out, the guesthouse thought of everything; they were even more meticulous than I was! They really boosted my spirits, so I ended up not looking at any guides at all. The guesthouse staff arranged all my tickets and shows. When we got off the high-speed train, a staff member was there to pick us up. At the guesthouse, we met the lovely狒狒 (Feifei). She was incredibly patient, explaining every evening how to get around and what to do the next day, drawing routes on a map for me, and advising on what to bring. The guesthouse is directly opposite 'Charming Xiangxi' and a taxi to the main entrance (标志门) costs 6 yuan. If you don't want to take a taxi, it's just over a ten-minute walk. I took a taxi to the scenic area every morning, and walked back in the evening. My child loved walking by the water on the way back, and there were many roadside stalls to browse. I originally planned to stay there for three nights to visit the Forest Park, and then move to the city for Tianmen Mountain. But my mom said she was so comfortable and happy there, she didn't want to change, so we extended our stay for another night. The next day, Feifei arranged for us to be dropped off directly at the entrance of Tianmen Mountain. Feifei's itinerary was truly excellent; we never had to wait in long queues, and the weather was also incredibly cooperative. The forecast predicted rain every day, but we didn't get a single drop – it was sunny all the time! We explored every part of the Forest Park, and both my mom and child had an amazing time. Two thumbs up for them! The guesthouse also has adorable cats, and my son spent every day cuddling them. Plus, there were daily treats from the host!
GGuest UserGreat location, close to the iconic Snow bridge 雪桥, where the hustle and bustle is. There's alot of bar/karaoke downstairs, but the volume lower down by midnight.
Owners were very prompt with replying via WeChat, with any questions or map, helped us with booking the ticket combo of 8 sight seeing spots and boat ride, cheaper than the counter.
Took a cab from the railway station (for 25yuan) to the designated parking spot, and the owner came to pick us, helped us with our luggage to go through the ancient town.
Overall very good stay and we had a memorable time here in Fenghuang.
The picture is our view from the balcony.
SSeb PerthThe hotel is about 300 metres from the entrance to the national park. The room is very comfortable and the staff are incredibly friendly and always willing to help. Make sure to check with them before you arrive, as they offer discounted tickets for the national park. Unfortunately, we found out after arriving, and the tickets need to be booked one day in advance. Thank you!
