Pet Friendly Hotels in Guangxi, China

Get this hotel!!! We were supposed to stay for a night and then decide what to do - we ended up staying 3 nights and were very sad to leave. Every so often when you travel your hotel experience significantly improved your holiday - this was one of those cases! First of all the basics, we were looking for a nice family friendly hotel walking distance from the beach - and this certainly fit that category. The rooms are fine, you could see the sea from the windows, comfortable beds, pretty clean, slippers, plenty of towels, wifi everywhere etc. There was also a small playground for small kids and hammocks (picture) etc which was cool, we also saw mahjong tables, but didn't have the time to play. The hotel is located near a fairly large field, filled with exotic birds, butterflies and crickets etc. There were also geckos everywhere (love them), but we didn't see any inside the room. There were some mosquitos outside on the terrace (don't love them), but the repellent took care of those and we didn't have any in our rooms. Felt like you were near nature, in a good way. The kids loved to play on the beach, it's great for sand castles (the hotel had buckets and shovels free of charge) and searching for crabs, fish, shells, sea snails etc... The moms loved it too, especially to walk around and explore during low tide. (the hotel also provided equipment to catch crabs and other sea creatures etc if you wanted to - they also had a service to cook them for you) We especially enjoyed playing under a nearby pier during low tide to avoid getting badly sunburned. The supermarket across the street sell dozens of single malt whiskys and beer from all over the world (they also have ice cream and other stuff) - and the dads recommend the roof terrace for that after the kids are asleep. (picture) If you know how to ride a scooter/ebike they rent them across the road too, and it's the best way to explore the island. The small roads (almost devoid of cars) were awesome to drive on, just remember to stay safe. I don't usually care much about breakfast, but the included breakfast was great! (picture) The kitchen staff was also super laid-back about the whole thing - this whole hotel radiated a very laid back tropical island feel that made you forget you were in China. However the reason I write this review is because of the owner. (last picture) (I'm not sure if he speaks English though, but I'm sure you'll manage) Super chill guy! Immediately after booking he contacted us to arrange the transport from the boat. He helped us buy tickets for the trip back. He was willing to come and pick us up at any time if we got lost on the island. He had great recommendations about basically everything, and whenever we made plans we were sure to ask for his advice. He was basically always reachable over wechat too. These are just some of the things that he didn't have to provide, but did (or offered): unlimited cold drinking water, ice, proper glasses, a coffee grinder, buckets, shovels, hats, umbrellas, sunscreen, aloe vera plants, flashlights, mosquito repellent etc etc and it feels like we only scratched the surface. It feels like whenever I asked him for something he always had a solution that exceeded my expectations. Great host! I've traveled to almost 100 countries and while this wasn't the fanciest hotel I've stayed in by any means, this was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I've ever had. If anyone I know plans to visit this island I will for sure recommend this place.

Staying at Gui Tu You You Xiao Zhu during my Yangshuo trip was great! It's just a few steps away from West Street, offering a quiet escape despite being so central. The room was clean and comfortable, and the owner was very welcoming. Being so close to everything made exploring and dining super convenient. Overall, I felt very safe and comfortable throughout my stay. 🌹

必須好好誇誇這家店！老闆是個年輕老闆。店裡養了衹好乖好可愛小貓，休息的時候擼貓特別爽。全屋衞生做得很到位，各個角落都收拾得清爽。比我想象中的要好好多，好太多了。 到的第一天晚上躺床上想看劇，發現沒有視頻會員，老闆立馬開了SVIP。服務超級好。 最暖心的是我吹空調着涼，一直流鼻涕，第二天要趕高鐵下樓，問有沒有紙巾，我抽了幾張桌子上的。正打算出門找便利店，老闆看我不停擦鼻子，主動拿了一包紙巾送給我。細節感滿滿，服務一點不敷衍，出來旅遊住這裏真的很舒心，強烈推薦！

The room is very nice and new, and the facilities are also very good. The only problem is that the bathroom has no curtains and there are a lot of mosquitoes. The service attitude is very good, including airport pick-up and drop-off. I will book again next time I come to Guilin

It is the second time I stay in this hotel and I love it very much. I returned this time to bring my mother here! The hotel's location is great, by the river and close to nature. There are the waterlily ponds around the hotel and you can hear the delightful little frogs croaking at night. The staff are very friendly and helpful with all requests, and the hotel's interior is clean and beautifully designed. The pool is also very pleasant, as are the many activities offered here, and you can rent a scooter easily for convenient transport around.ation is great, by the river and close to nature. The breakfast offers tasty food, as does the restaurant - which boasts a great vegetarian selection as well.

We brought our kids to Yangshuo for a holiday, and the window view at this hotel completely cured my soul! The massive floor-to-ceiling windows offer an unobstructed view, letting you take in the karst peaks and green rice paddies right from your bed. Clouds drift around the mountaintops, and the landscape unfolds like a moving traditional Chinese painting, bringing you up close and personal with nature – the ambiance is absolutely incredible 🌿. The 'Sky Mirror' on the rooftop is a must-visit spot. The reflection of the unique peaks, blue sky, and white clouds in the mirror makes for stunning, 'healing' photos every time. Downstairs, there's an outdoor pool and a fun kids' playground, keeping the little ones happy splashing around all day long. The dining experience was incredibly thoughtful. They offer a rich buffet breakfast, exquisite afternoon tea, and even comforting late-night noodles. It's a one-stop solution for food and accommodation when traveling with kids.

This place has hands down been the most memorable stay we have ever had! As a couple traveling for the first time in China, Yukong, his family, and friends gave us a feeling of home and took care of us in a way we never experienced from a homestay. The house itself is build by Yukong's grandparents 70 years ago, and is placed in the middle of a Kiwi farm on the mountains outside Leye city. We shared great meals together every night in front of the fireplace with the boiling soup bowl at the center. Friends and family of the house even cared for bringing all sorts of classical Chinese instruments to the house to play traditional folk music for us - something we will never forget! Together we sang karaoke, drank rice wine, laughed and had great talks, despite of the language barrier. One could tell that our well being mattered to all of them, and that they wanted us to experience and understand their culture. Yukong and his brother even joined us for a hike in the nearby geopark and helped us with litterarly everything regarding planning and activities (which was so helpful, as none of us speaks Chinese). They took so much time off their hands to help us getting around and showed us the most wonderful local tourist attractions and great places to eat. The area has a lot to offer, and we were amazed that we seemed to have it all to ourselves. If you are in Guangxi, or anywhere else in China, for that matter, do yourself a favor and book a stay here. It is something you will remember for a long time. The nature, the culture, and especially the family you are gonna stay with, are wonderful.

All in all an extremely pleasant stay! The location is absolutely stunning. Sure, it might be a little bit off the beaten track, but the views are all the more rewarding and the hiking path from Dazhai is also highly recommended. The hotel lobby also functions as a big living room and a little restaurant run by the owners. The food is excellent and well priced (definitely try their rice wine!). Because we were there in winter and it was cold, the owners even put a small radiator under our table to make it comfortable. Generally, the owners were super nice and friendly and adding their absolutely adorable puppy, we almost couldn't bring ourselves to leave. The rooms were very clean, have a small separate bathroom and we had a small balcony with view over the rice terraces. For a more budget option there is also rooms without AC or view, in that case you can still enjoy quite a bit of the scenery from the living room downstairs or just by exploring the surroundings on foot. (The picture is shot from our balcony, but sadly some of the view was obscured by the winter mist.) We will definitely try to come again sometime in summer and are already excited thinking about staying in this hotel again.

Finally found my ideal B&B in Yangshuo, nestled amidst the stunning landscapes! It's located around the Ten-Mile Gallery. Open the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, and you're greeted directly by rolling peaks and lush green rice paddies. Waking up to the misty pastoral scenery is incredibly therapeutic.✨ The room has a simple, natural wood design, clean and spacious. The trendy transparent bathtub faces the mountain view, making for fantastic photos. The B&B also has a large lawn and a swimming pool where my two kids had a blast. There are plenty of leisure areas where you can sit back and quietly enjoy the karst scenery – it's truly relaxing. You can dine right at the B&B for all three meals. The authentic Guilin home-style dishes are delicious, with fresh and tasty river shrimp and seasonal vegetables. After dinner, there are refreshing sweet fruits. The complimentary afternoon tea offers many choices, and the staff's service is attentive and thoughtful, patiently answering all our travel inquiries. It's a quiet and comfortable escape from the hustle and bustle of West Street, highly recommended for families with children. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Yangshuo!

The location of the apartment is great, plenty of restaurants, 24hrs convenient stores around the building, short walking distance to Mira Mall & Sheng's Tiandi where you can find good supermarket & lots of nice restaurants & good food places. MixC Mall, Hang Yang City & Convention & Exhibition Center are in short distance taking taxi is ~CNY10-15 & convenient, as taxi stand is just right in front of the walk way to the building. The apartment building & the unit itself are old and don't have enough maintenance, they offer the kitchen but if staying less than a month, it's almost useless as they don't provide any of the kitchenware at all, except the electric kettle, not even the proper glasses nor utensils, only 2 daily paper cups in the bathroom. Room facilities & many little things in the unit are all run down & don't have proper maintenance like door knobs, handles, shower, kitchen taps, table, etc, cleanliness is not good enough, however, the bed sheets & bedding stuff are clean enough with no smell. They offer the daily cleaning, but just floor clean, no change of anything, no drinking water provided. The amenities are very basic & few, most are disposable, better bring your own, anyhow, some requests are well responsive like we request to change the kettle, cause it is out of order, 1 additional chair as they provide only 1 chair in the unit & laundry detergent. In overall, if you don't mind and can bare those run down facilities with not good enough maintenance, it is a value for money to stay in such location in good neighborhood.
