Pet Friendly Hotels in Guangxi, China

Misled by Trip.com. Paid about 1200 CNY for two days and ended up in a rural guesthouse in the mountains, which was misleadingly listed as a hotel. Dianping (a local review app) was more honest, showing it as a guesthouse. I should have stayed in Yangshuo West Street instead; there were plenty of options for that price. The photos were drastically different from the actual experience. It was more like a two-star place in the city, perhaps? The exterior was even less appealing than other guesthouses, but the lobby was spacious and simple. The rooms were small. It had six floors, with about 5 rooms per floor. The room was small and had a rustic, 'village' feel. My child didn't even want to stay after opening the door and asked why I booked this place. It was totally photo-shopped. Plus, transportation in Yangshuo is inconvenient, and taxis overcharge. We had to tough it out for two days. I saw the photos on Trip.com and thought it would be a minimalist and chic hotel like All Seasons, but it was just a peasant's house. The bathroom had random trash cans. You could hear people talking outside the door. This place feels more like accommodation attached to a restaurant. Trip.com actually listed it as a hotel. I shouldn't just rely on reviews in the future. When we were taking a taxi out from here, the driver mentioned he was worried about oncoming traffic. That's when I realized the road in this deep mountain valley was only suitable for single-lane traffic. We even had to pull over twice for others. On October 4th, it was raining, and we couldn't get a taxi no matter what. We walked to the entrance of 'Romantic Show' and finally got a taxi for 78 CNY, which took an hour to get to Ruyi Peak. From Ruyi Peak to Silver Cave, we entered at 5 PM and by 7 PM, it was dark. The sky had cleared up, but there was no way to get a taxi back to Yangshuo. We were quoted 120 CNY for a 40-minute drive to the theater. It was a very poor experience. The most satisfying part of the 1200 CNY room rate was the bowl of Guilin rice noodles served for breakfast. Also, the beer fish set meal we bought separately at the hotel was generous in portion and clearly offered better value than the accommodation itself. After booking, it's essential to check both Trip.com and Dianping. Both the accommodation and transportation were extremely disappointing. You need to think carefully before staying in the mountains. For the same price, it's better to find a proper hotel. Always, always look at the exterior photos of the hotel, the outdoor shots. Seeing the outdoor exterior photos can largely help in making a judgment.

Came here for the third time, deep in the mountains is a stockade like a Swiss town: houses are lined up, layers of flowers are first laid, and Jiaojiao is beautiful. Whether it is the faintness of the sea of clouds surrounding the mountain in the morning or the evening glowing and tender, or the stars at night, it brings a sense of peace and tranquility: two ears do not hear the world, and the edge is in this village; In the morning, you can go up and down the stone road, while enjoying the beautiful scenery around you, you can also go to the mountain tea room to have a cup of good tea; in the afternoon, continue to climb, sit in the pavilion at the top, overlook the whole village, and then shout out the inner poetry and distance to the mountains; At night, make a wish to the stars (the heart fire to the stars, the wish is true). Here, you can completely empty, live a few days of pastoral life, lamenting that the paradise is real.

A truly healing hotel. The environment is absolutely stunning; open the window and you're greeted by picturesque mountains, rivers, and fields. The service is gentle and warm, making you feel very comfortable. I tried the head spa and Zen meditation, and the techniques were professional; I felt completely relaxed afterward. The breakfast is light and healthy, fitting the overall peaceful vibe. The only minor downside is its location within the scenic area, meaning you have to return a bit earlier in the evening, but this also contributes to the tranquility. Overall, I'm very satisfied and it's perfect for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

We booked a really good value group tour. We arrived quite early, before check-in time, so rooms weren't ready yet. However, after paying the deposit, they arranged a room for us in advance and even upgraded it. We also received many thoughtful tips. The location is easy to find, directly opposite the side of West Street, just walk straight. For exploring the Ten-Mile Gallery, you can rent electric scooters for 20 or 30 yuan a day, with two different ranges: 40 km for 30 yuan, or 70 km for 30 yuan (it seems there might be a typo in the original, implying two 30 yuan options with different ranges, or perhaps it should be 20 yuan for 40km and 30 yuan for 70km). The next morning, a rich breakfast was provided, and the room's overall cleanliness was excellent. Highly recommended!!!!

Overall, the experience was excellent, exceeding my expectations. The hotel environment was clean and tidy, with no unpleasant odors in the corridors and public areas, which made me feel very safe. The room was spacious enough, with simple and elegant decor. The bed was just the right firmness, and the pillows were very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom was spotless, with all necessary toiletries provided, and hot water was readily available. The front desk staff were warm and polite, patiently answering any questions and responding quickly. The location is excellent, with a bus stop right outside and many shopping areas nearby, making dining and shopping very convenient. The price-performance ratio is very high compared to similar hotels. My stay was very comfortable, and I would definitely recommend it and stay here again.

The room is very nice and new, and the facilities are also very good. The only problem is that the bathroom has no curtains and there are a lot of mosquitoes. The service attitude is very good, including airport pick-up and drop-off. I will book again next time I come to Guilin

Choosing Julong Town in Yangshuo was definitely a great decision, no regrets! 👍 The location is perfect, right in the Ten-Mile Gallery, and very close to the Yulong River, making getting around super convenient. The room had massive floor-to-ceiling windows, and as soon as you opened the curtains, you were greeted by endless karst mountain views. Lying in bed and gazing at the mountains and rivers, the ambiance was just incredible! 🏞️ The room facilities were excellent, the bed was very comfortable, and there was even a washer-dryer combo, which was incredibly handy for doing laundry while traveling. The hotel amenities were extensive, with a Sky Mirror on the top floor that was fantastic for photos 📸, an infinity pool, and a large courtyard. Breakfast offered a good variety, and the freshly cooked Guilin rice noodles were delicious. There was also afternoon tea, and a thoughtful late-night noodle dish in the evening – the attention to detail was impressive. The staff were also very helpful and responsive to any issues. It's suitable for both couples and families on vacation. I'll definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in Yangshuo!

Wow, this guesthouse is amazing! From the moment we booked, the owner was incredibly patient in resolving all sorts of issues. They reminded us to be careful because of the fog in the mountains, and because they were worried we might have eaten late, they specially prepared food for us and even ate with us. They even provided a heater (with a flame, no less!) because of the cooler weather 🔥. The room was also wonderfully decorated; all the amenities showed thoughtful design and warmth. The shower water was hot and plentiful. It's incredibly good value for money. We ate with the owner's family for two nights, and all the ingredients were grown and raised by them—purely natural. We could even pick our own food, enjoying a variety of local specialties—it was so comprehensive! The family was incredibly warm and lovely, and there were actually fish in the room 🐟! It felt like staying with relatives. Five stars without hesitation!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay here. I went out of season, so I was the one of the only guests for two days, this made if even more special. if you travel during rainy season make sure to have rainboots and rain proof coats etc. The nights and mornings can get very cold so prepare warm clothes. The family helped me from booking a local shuttle bus from Yangshuo to arrive and departing and also picked me up on my day of arrival from the park entrance. The Homestay is quite far up the hills, not very easy to find you need to carpool or ask owners to help with scooter ride, but the views and people make it all the worthwhile. It is close to many hiking trails and view points. The family welcomed me with so much love the room was exactly as it said. Their food and pricing is also very affordable. They family is of the local ethnicity and they gave me an up-close view in their lives and their traditional ways. I tasted their rice wine, chilli paste , traditional tea and bamboo rice and many other delicious foods. The owners and family are very helpful and if you have any questions, or want to know more of need to get to a certain part of the area they are happy to help. This family and their black dog filled my heart with so much love and gratitude. Note for for foreign travelers: They don't speak English, but do not let this scare you if you are a foreigner, translator apps are helpful if you can't understand the language. Overall, I highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful, tranquil and family-like feeling enjoy the outdoors and nature. I will definitely be going back!

The room is quite spacious with complete facilities, and the panoramic window offers a great view. The only downside was that it was fully booked during the Mid-Autumn Festival, so we only got a second-floor room. There's a small golf course less than 5 meters away on the opposite rooftop, which somewhat compromised privacy. I imagine this wouldn't be an issue on the third floor and above. The service was very attentive, and the buffet food was quite good for a B&B, around a 4-star standard. We even received a small gift when we checked out. Its location near the old street pier makes it convenient for Yulong River rafting.
