This B&B is located within Luoyi Ancient City. Though the entrance isn't grand, once you step inside, it feels like a hidden gem. It's built in the style of a traditional courtyard house, with a rooftop terrace that offers a close-up view of the Drum Tower. The whole place has such a wonderful vibe.
We booked a king-size room with a private balcony, which was quite spacious. The furnishings had an antique charm, and waking up to the sounds of roosters crowing and birds chirping was incredibly comforting. The mattress and pillows were just the right firmness, perfect for recovering after a day of sightseeing.
The bathroom amenities were also excellent, with a lovely fragrance. The towels were soft and comfortable, and surprisingly, they even provided a bath mat, which you usually only find in high-end hotels. It made us feel both reassured and pampered – seems like the owner has great taste! 😉 The front desk staff was also very welcoming and helpful, providing recommendations for nearby attractions and restaurants.
However, there was one minor issue: the bathroom mirror in the room was a bit impractical. It was quite far from the sink, and there was no magnifying mirror 🪞. As someone who needs to get close to the mirror to put in contact lenses, I found this inconvenient. 😂 Overall, though, I would definitely recommend this B&B! 👍👍👍

If I could give 11/10, I would. I came on the day of the heaviest snow this year. Just when I thought everything went wrong, it turned out to be memorable. Flight delay, then airport delayed flight parking due to the snow. My booked Didi (another app) driver left. Was stuck in the ONLY didi driver’s shared car making its way from Zhengzhou to Luoyang — he drove from 11pm to 5.30 am going at 40 to 50 km/h because the roads were iced up and slippery (even his car had slid through and hit the barriers twice) . The owner added the driver’s contact and waited up all night until the early morning for me to check in and carry the luggage up.
The price, the location and the very nice owner make this homestay an excellent one — better than a hotel. There isn’t any elevators but the owner helps out with the luggage. The room is large and comfortable. He had turned on the heating for me before I arrived to warm up the room. The breakfast is delicious. The homestay is near to Luoyi Ancient city (a few minutes walk) and Luoyi Ancient City metro. His hand-drawn map highlights all the good spots. His daughter is adorable too.

Our stay at Qichi Riverside B&B in Luoyang was truly wonderful!
The location is great, very close to Luoyi Ancient City, and the surroundings are beautiful and quiet.
The B&B host was incredibly kind and thoughtful. They helped us hang our clothes to dry and even lent us their phone number to order takeout 📱.
Every day, there was hot coffee and milk tea available, and before we left, they even gave us a small gift. It was full of warm hospitality ❤️.
This hotel is located inside Longmen Old Street, just outside the Longmen Grottoes scenic area. It's a large property with a great ambiance, and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable – totally exceeding expectations. The facilities are also excellent. The service was fantastic, and the breakfast was much richer than I anticipated based on previous reviews, offering a wide variety including pastries, noodles, cooked dishes, Western options, and fruits.
The location is superb; there's a local milk tea shop called Peony Pavilion right downstairs. If you take the shuttle bus from the Buddha worshipping platform at Longmen Grottoes to the Northwest service area, the drop-off point is only about 200 meters from the hotel. For someone who's walked 10,000 steps exploring the grottoes, this distance is incredibly convenient!

Locarion is nearby to Luoyi Ancient Town. The room service was superb. The hostess upgrades us to bigger room when there's availability. All other staff will help us in making the stay comfortable, including helping us move our luggages to the other rooms when needed. The hostess recommended us places to eat and helped to call to confirm our Empress Wu feast seats. Absolutely a delight to stay there.

This guesthouse is really lovely. It's nestled right inside the ancient city, offering a peaceful escape from the bustling streets. The atmosphere is great, the service is attentive, and it's super convenient for exploring the old town. If you're not in the mood for sightseeing, just relaxing at the guesthouse, sipping tea, and enjoying the view is incredibly pleasant. Definitely worth a stay!

1️⃣ Location: 300 meters next to Longsui Mountain is this homestay, in the villa area of No. 80, quite good.
2️⃣ Service: I live in the landlord’s villa. There are always people in the public area on the first floor. Basically, what I need is what I need. There are guest consumables on the shelf on the first floor. There are parking spaces at the door. The boss is also happy. I think I occasionally invite the tenants to go to the tea table on the first floor to drink tea, but I am an i person and I didn’t go. Haha, the landlord also put a lot of water on the table at the door of the room, basically used it casually. I drank eight or nine bottles in two days. I checked that it was their local Songdu Juquan. A bottle of water was about 3-4 yuan. The boss will also pick you up when you enter and leave. It is very family-friendly and the service is very good.
3️⃣ The sanitation is very clean, the quilt cover has no smell, the room has no smell, the bathroom is clean, the floor is not dirty, the bathroom is also very clean, quite good.
4️⃣ Cost-effective, this is really invincible, 180 rented a room with a terrace, the room has 30 ㎡, the terrace feels 40 ㎡, the boss's backyard is under the terrace, and there are bonsai and fish.
In summary, the boss is very good, there is an elevator at home, brothers and sisters can rest assured, super cost-effective
It is our first time in China - it was a great stay - owner is very helpful - helped us to organise the tickets to Zen Music Festival, and she showed us the attractions in the area, we enjoyed the food - traditional breakfast, we had traditional hot pot for the dinner - great experience, also she made for us in the evening traditional tea (Pu-erh, and green tea) - unforgettable moments. Thank you very much for the hospitality.

After much deliberation, I chose Jinyuan Wenfuyuan, and its location is truly superb! It's just a few minutes' walk from Luoyi Old City subway station, and very close to Shizijie and Lijingmen. The area is lively, yet the guesthouse offers a peaceful retreat, so my stay wasn't affected by any noise. As for service, the staff called me in advance and even added me on WeChat to give me directions and share many local recommendations for food and attractions. It was perfect for an introvert like me, as the staff didn't intrude, but daily linen replenishment was always on point, and the room was kept spotless – truly thoughtful! The room environment is genuinely good, with smart voice control throughout, a smart toilet, and excellent soundproofing. This time, because we had a 'special forces' (fast-paced) itinerary, we picked a smaller room. Next time, I'll definitely choose a bigger one, especially since both of us are quite tall. The only minor drawback was that the shower threshold was a bit low, causing water to spill out during showering, though it dried quickly. In terms of price, this guesthouse is truly competitive, given its prime location – it's a real bargain! All in all, I would definitely recommend it to friends and family; the experience was fantastic! Luoyang is beautiful, Jinyuan is great, and I'll be back!

LLansun1998Frankly, I was quite satisfied. The hotel is located within the scenic area, giving it a fantastic atmosphere. Most importantly, the owners were very welcoming and honest, and they even provided laundry service, not just a washing machine! On a hot day, I changed several T-shirts, and my pants were soaked with sweat—7 or 8 sets for adults and children. I brought them back to the hotel, and they were clean the next day, still warm from the sun. It was very nice. The location is excellent, convenient for transportation, in the heart of the old town, and close to Lijingmen, Yingtianmen, Tiantang, and Mingtang pedestrian streets—perfect for exploring!
MM255365****The owners are incredibly nice. The room was clean and well-maintained. Although the road leading to the guesthouse is a bit steep, the owner offers free shuttle service to and from the Shaolin Temple entrance, which totally solves the road issue! 👍🏻 They even upgraded our room for free, which was much appreciated. There's a TV and Wi-Fi available. The service was excellent. It's about a 10-minute walk to Shaolin Temple. The guesthouse has three floors and an elevator. It's a great choice if you're looking for accommodation near Shaolin Temple.
GGuest UserCleanliness: Tidy and spotless, the environment is quite nice. It's close to attractions and offers great value for money, highly recommended! 👍🏻 There's a small courtyard which is very cozy. The front desk staff was friendly and even walked us to the entrance of the scenic area.

GGuest UserMo Shang Yi Su was the perfect base for our Shaolin Temple trip! The location was super convenient, making it easy to travel back and forth to the temple. After returning, we enjoyed tea and conversation in the tea room, and the herbal foot soak was amazing for relieving fatigue. Our child also got to practice calligraphy in the sunroom. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The laundry room and multi-functional fitness equipment were also a huge convenience. We had a wonderfully comfortable two-day stay here and highly recommend it!

GGuest UserThe guesthouse is nestled in the old town. Taxis typically drop you off at the main road, requiring a short walk of a few minutes to reach the entrance, as the narrow streets can be challenging for cars. On the upside, it's incredibly close to Yingtian Gate, and you can conveniently park electric scooters right outside! One thing to note is that there's a primary school nearby, so you'll hear morning exercise music around 8 AM. The soundproofing isn't the best, but the numerous benefits easily make up for it – I could certainly overlook this.
Cleanliness was excellent. Just let the owner know if you need any tidying up; they were incredibly attentive, restocking disposable slippers, toothbrushes, tissues, and even facial tissues every time we returned. Such a thoughtful touch!
For service, I booked after the Dragon Boat Festival, and seeing I was staying for an extended period, the owner generously upgraded my room type for free, saying a bigger room would be more comfortable – a truly wonderful gesture! There were also four kinds of complimentary snacks on the table. The guesthouse even offers Hanfu (traditional Chinese attire) styling and makeup services with a discount for guests, which is a great opportunity if you've ever wanted to try it.
JJuujuuHuUpon arrival, I was amazed on how quiet and clean the space were, took countless photos and couldn't dare to mess the space up, but I had to. It was such a lovely welcome with a flower (fake) on the bed, such a nice prop if you plan to take pictures with the lovely soft light coming from the window.
Location is very convenient, close to the metro and buses, being right at the entrance of the 丽景门, going places was ideally. Foods and milk tea stores were downstairs less than 5min walk away. 15-20min you would had reach the end of the night market from the hotel.
The room was clean and neat. If solo travel or couple traveller, it would be least of an issue, but if travelling with your friend, I must say the main door to the bathroom do need a little cover up as it is just a glass door. The bed was comfy, the pillow was the right height and firmness. I love the big space that's worth the price. I felt so space in this little hotel, the owners were so kind and friendly, vey lovely service too.
In conclusion: i would come back here when I'm in Luoyang again.
