👍 Rooms No strange odors, clean beds, and ample heating. Separate rooms for men and women. Only 6-bed and 8-bed dorms are available, offering both heating and air conditioning, water, bath towels, cotton swabs, shower caps, laundry detergent, etc. Each person gets a bed, a luggage space, a locker for towels, a small compartment for miscellaneous items, a lockable slipper cabinet (yes, they provide free slippers!), and a hanger. Shared bathrooms, three per floor, equipped with shower gel, shampoo, and hairdryers. Separate toilets for men and women. Two per floor, with toilet paper provided. 👍 Common Areas The common areas feature: A pool table and a ping-pong table, both free to use. Pool tournaments on Wednesdays, ping-pong tournaments on Saturdays, with prizes. A dining area and a place for takeout food. Smelly food is not allowed upstairs. There's an outdoor area where smoking is permitted. A KTV system is available. Occasionally, guest singers perform. During my stay, someone played guitar and sang every night. It was wonderful! Laundry and drying machines are provided on the first floor. Hangers are available on every floor for drying clothes, free to use. 👍 Cat There's a friendly cat named Laifu at the hotel, happy to be petted by anyone. 👍 Front Desk The front desk staff are very responsible. They provide information about nearby attractions. It's very close to Cuihu Lake, and Daguan River is right outside. They remind guests not to disturb others at night. After each check-in, they also send a private message and post in a group chat, reminding guests not to eat in the rooms or leave belongings scattered around. As a result, the rooms are very clean and odor-free. Common spaces are tidied daily, keeping them very neat. 👍 Guests The guests staying here are also very well-behaved. It's incredibly quiet after 11 PM. 🤔 However 1. There are four floors, and no elevator. 2. The hot water supply can be a bit inconsistent. Overall, my experience was 5⭐️ Because the rooms are clean. There's heating; I even slept in a tank top at 7°C (45°F) in the room and wasn't cold. The rules are well enforced. It's very quiet at night, allowing for peaceful sleep. The guests are of high quality.

This is my second stay here, and it's definitely the best hostel in Kunming! They offer both private rooms and dorms, catering to the different needs of professionals and students. The cherry blossoms in Kunming are beautiful, and they even gave me a free room upgrade, haha!

The location is unbeatable, making it super convenient for getting around, and it's really close to the South Gate. The hostel itself has a great design aesthetic. They've got daily activities like walking tours, movie nights, and even werewolf games, plus a PS5! The staff are incredibly warm and friendly, treating you like old friends. This isn't just a place to stay; it's the perfect social hub for a trip to Dali.

First, some praise: ① Compared to the quadruple rooms in other hostels I've stayed in, this one is more spacious and the hygiene is good. ② The location, tucked away in an alley off the main road, makes it quiet enough if there's no one being noisy. In my opinion, the shortcomings are: ① The room truly has nothing in it – no disposable toiletries whatsoever. While it does make it look tidy, it's quite bare. ② The hot water flow in the private bathroom is a bit weak, lacking any real pressure. ③ The room door isn't soundproof, and the floor creaks loudly when walked on. Facilities: The sheets and duvet covers were given to me upon check-in, and they did look a bit old.

My friends and I stayed in Kunming for a week. Before planning our trip, I chose this hostel on Xiaohongshu. It's very close to Kunming Station, about a ten-minute walk, and easy to find with the directions provided by the owner. The owner is lovely, very gentle and soft-spoken. She was also quick to respond whenever I needed help finding something. My roommates were all pretty quiet; almost no one made any noise. The hostel's balcony is beautiful and cool, perfect for enjoying breakfast. Before coming to Kunming, the weather forecast said it would rain every day, but in reality, we had sunshine almost every day, with rain only in the evenings or early mornings. I highly recommend visiting!

It's great. I often come to Xishuangbanna, and hostels are my first choice when traveling alone. This is my second time staying here. The rooms are spacious and clean, the surrounding area is quiet and peaceful, and there are convenient places to eat. So, this is my first choice when visiting Xishuangbanna.

Sister Cai Cai was incredibly warm, attentive, and thoughtful. Although we didn't interact much, her meticulous attention to detail was evident. I was extremely satisfied with her recommendations for food, entertainment, and other experiences—a full five stars for that alone. The lobby had a great atmosphere, and it was clear many people had been staying for several days. There's a large courtyard where you can enjoy the view and relax. The bedding was clean and comfortable; the mattress was almost as thick as a hotel mattress, and the bed was sturdy. The bedside lights were shaded by wooden boards, eliminating the glare from direct sunlight (I've stayed in many hostels, and Cai Cai was the first to show such attention to detail). The surrounding environment was quiet, and I slept very well. There was crowing in the morning, intermittently from around 5 am to 6 am. I suggest more clear reminders about the room check-in rules. One guest was playing music on their phone, so a quiet environment should be maintained in the room, both day and night. By the way, my room was opposite the clothes drying area, and the room light was a bit dim, as shown in the picture. In short, I highly recommend this place!

It's a hostel with a very homely environment. The manager will invite you to drink tea with him, the courtyard is a very chill area to hang out in and even spend all day to the sound of flowing water and surrounded by plants. There is a kitchen available too, and the manager brings water from the well daily for the use of the guests. The dorm was comfortable and the lower beds have curtains but the upper ones don't. The manager sometimes organises events for the guests, such as the time when we went picking mushrooms and visited a local market from where we bought more mushrooms which were cooked for dinner, all at a very good price. The location is excellent, just 1 minute walking to the south gate of the ancient city. I will not hesitate to stay here again when I come back to Jianshui.

I only stayed one night and then left. During the off-season, for just an extra 20-30 RMB, I could have stayed in a guesthouse with air conditioning and a private room. I've stayed in Hangzhou and Chengdu in 2023 and 2024, and had a great impression. However, this Lijiang branch, perhaps due to too many guests or cleaning staff being overwhelmed, had rather poor hygiene. 1. There were dried-up contact lenses left by the previous guest on the bedside table. 2. Before going to bed, there was a large bug on the bedsheet… it really scared me. 3. The bathroom was a bit dirty, especially the door which looked encrusted, like a public toilet… the water stains in the sink from brushing teeth and washing up hadn't been cleaned in time and looked very dirty. 4. Some of the bedside power outlets weren't working (both the two and three-prong outlets had no power, fortunately, the front desk later moved me to another room). They should really check these. The young staff provided very good service, but the cleaning aunties definitely need to be given stricter instructions.

GGuest UserGreat hostel! I felt like I got the royal treatment when I was there simply because I'm a rare foreign guest. Well, I'll take the privilege 😅. So in my particular case, from the moment I arrived they rolled out the red carpet. I made friends with the receptionist and we went to have dinner together right away lol. This never happened to me before haha. It was very nice. Then I was included in all kinds of social activities during my 4 day stay. We had lunch together with the owner, a very jovial guy, the receptionist and some random guests. It was very pleasant. We also went out for free clubbing and to the night market. Absolutely non commercial activities where we simply hung out as friends. Very cool! Definitely enriched my experience in Kunming by a lot. The facilities themselves were good. Everything was clean. It's a little bit cramped up in the apartment that's been made into dorms but it's ok because everyone is very considerate. There's only one bathroom so sometimes that can be annoying. It's a very high quality bathroom tho. I would definitely stay again for the atmosphere and the convenience of the location.

KK VThis hostel is located about 10 to 15 minutes walk from Dali Ancient City, but still offers convenient access to amenities. The surrounding area has plenty of local restaurants, bike rental shops and a nearby market. With a police station next door, safety is not a concern. I stayed in a dormitory room with an ensuite bathroom. The hostel staff and cleaners generally maintain the space well. However, cleanliness can quickly compromised due to inconsiderate guests. That said, I observed that the team consistently cleaned the facilities at regular intervals, so the issue wasn’t due to a lack of effort from the management. One highlight is the rooftop washing machine with complimentary detergent, which is such an excellent convenience for travelers. The front desk staff were helpful and approachable. They offered practical travel advice, such as recommendations for electric bike rentals and guidance on typical market prices. I found this especially useful for planning my days around Dali. The beds are comfortable and each comes with an individual locker and curtain, which gives me the personal space and security. The hostel also encourages a warm communal atmosphere. I appreciated the small gatherings in the lobby, such as casual singing sessions. There is also a WeChat group for guests to join occasional outings. Overall, I had a pleasant and enjoyable stay. It’s a solid choice for travelers looking for a clean, friendly and sociable hostel experience in Dali.

SSoloTravelAnnaI recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming hostel in the female dorm. While the dorm room didn’t have AC, it was comfortable and well-maintained. The shared bathroom was clean, featuring a typical wet room setup. The owners were incredibly nice and helpful, always ready to assist, and their excellent English made communication a breeze. It's great to know that the family lives on-site, adding a warm, homey feel to the place. One convenient feature is the washing machine available for a small fee, although I opted not to use it during my stay. Breakfast is offered, but remember to place your order the night before to ensure you get what you want! The location is quite handy, being close to the city center. Just a heads up, crossing the busy road can be a bit tricky, so take care. There are plenty of western food options nearby, which is a nice bonus if you're craving something familiar. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a friendly and welcoming place to stay.

BBandongzki TravelsThe place is located in the city center and few minutes from the Xinshuangbanna Railway Station i pay ¥30 thru taxi from raiIway to Hostel. I stayed in Dormitory Room and i booked it via Trip.Com. Actually this is my first time to travel in China and i don't have any idea so luckily this hostel is recommended by Trip.com In checking in ,since the owner can't speak english so there is a little bit problem but one of the guest translated what I'm talking and finally i get into the room. (+)I got my spot in lower deck bed which i always prefer if im in dormitory. Curtain in the bed is a plus. It is comfortable and each bed has personal light, fan and plug. (-) No toiletries and towel- according to one of traveller from China , mostly in China Hostel they didn't provide, must have your own unless staying in Pricy Hotel. (+) kitchen which can cook your own food , with the mate i shared in the expense and they cooked different tasty food (+) Price of room is affordable , if im nit mistaken it is cheaper in China app like ¥28+ per night. (+) near in night market food street shopping stalls clinics and bus stations and even in main road Overall 4/5 !
