This is a large hotel, designed in the classic Suzhou-style architecture, with beautiful garden landscapes. The back entrance offers direct access to the Pan Gate Scenic Area. The hotel spans approximately 32,000 square meters and features 336 guest rooms. It boasts four dining options: Cuiyingyuan All-Day Dining, Haitainlou Chinese Restaurant, Ruimian Noodle House, and Taying Cafe. There are roughly 250-300 parking spaces available, along with leisure facilities such as indoor and outdoor pools, a gym, tennis courts, an indoor golf simulator, and a kids' club.
Facilities: Overall very good and satisfying, but there wasn't a disposable small comb, though that doesn't really affect the overall experience. Hygiene: Very clean. Environment: Very good, I liked it a lot, but the lighting was a bit off. When we were taking photos or doing makeup, it created a bit of a backlight. It could be improved slightly, but having several different color lighting options was great! Service: Superb! The ladies and the front desk staff were all very considerate and attentive. 24-hour warm-hearted butler service: Very thorough. Late checkout until 2 PM (subject to availability): The attitude was super good.

Arrived by train after 10 PM and just wanted to find a close place to rest, and the hotel turned out to be surprisingly good! First, it's incredibly close – literally three minutes from the high-speed rail exit to the hotel. They upgraded me to a deluxe room upon check-in, which was spacious and beautiful; my child absolutely loved it. They even provided slippers and toiletries for the little one, showing very thoughtful and attentive service. Breakfast was also delicious, especially the fish soup wontons – so fresh and tasty!

Centrally located in Xinjiekou, this hotel boasts an excellent location, making it convenient to get around and perfect for shopping! The service is incredibly attentive; Manager Fang from the VIP hotline provided professional and meticulous service with a warm and thoughtful demeanor. She was proactive and thorough throughout, always responding and following up on every detail. Before my stay, Ms. Fang noticed from my social media that I was traveling with a baby and thoughtfully left a message saying she would arrange for children's amenities. These small touches truly made me feel at home at Jinling Hotel, showcasing their high-quality service and leaving a lasting impression. The concierge was also very polite and helpful with luggage. Jinling Hotel will definitely be my top choice for future stays!
Hotel near Taihu Lake Scenic Area,Wuxi1.9% of visitors choose this area
GGuest User2026.05.03
No hotel is perfect, but some definitely have standout features. Taihu Hotel, I highly recommend it!
Even though it's called Taihu Hotel, it's not directly on Lake Taihu. Only some of the lake-view rooms actually offer a glimpse of the lake, and there are no public areas with lake views either. So, if you're staying at Taihu Hotel and your budget allows, I'd suggest a lake-view room, especially one with a balcony. In spring or autumn, sitting on the balcony, you can see Yuantouzhu (Turtle Head Isle) – that green shoreline across the lake. The balcony faces directly onto Yuantouzhu's ferry terminal, offering beautiful and delightful scenery. I had initially planned to find a lakeside cafe to relax, but this balcony was just too good to leave. The room came with a capsule coffee machine, so I brewed a cup and sat on the balcony. A gentle breeze was blowing, a few swallows circled overhead (I assume their nests are on the hotel roof), and the lush greenery enveloped me in the fresh scent of plants. The view was expansive, with boats coming and going on distant Lake Taihu, yet it felt incredibly tranquil.
I didn't catch the sunrise or sunset, but I did witness the moonrise. I'd never seen the moon rise before; usually, when I look up, the moon is already high in the sky. There's a small hill directly opposite my room, and to my surprise, I saw the moon slowly ascending. It happened to be the 15th day of the ***** calendar, and the night sky was deep blue and cloudless. Unfortunately, my photography skills aren't great, so I couldn't capture it, and my literary abilities aren't good enough to describe it in words. All I can say is, it was incredibly beautiful. I'm not sure if this is visible every season, or if the moon might rise from a different spot sometimes. My knowledge of astronomy and geography isn't the best, but I imagine the moon doesn't always appear from the exact same location.
The greenery between the hotel and Lake Taihu isn't all part of the hotel property, and you can't walk through it as there are fences marking off third-party property. The hotel's back garden is quite large; it takes a good half-hour to wander through every corner. In the evenings, they show open-air movies on the lawn. It's not too cold or hot right now, and the mosquitoes haven't started working yet, so it's quite comfortable. However, I'm not sure if this happens on non-holidays. Around May Day, they even had fireworks in the evenings. Fireworks aren't normally available on weekdays, and I'm not sure about weekends.
This is a resort-style hotel. The hotel's facilities are pretty good. I was initially worried about it being outdated since it was renovated in 2016, but it didn't feel old at all, and the decor was quite nice. The parking lot is huge, with both an underground garage and outdoor parking spaces. There's a gym, ping-pong, tennis courts, and a pool. There's also an AI trail, which is a 1km loop around the back garden. They have small three-wheeled scooters, but I'm not sure if they're free or require a QR code payment to use.
The staff are all very friendly and provide good service.
There are a few areas for improvement. The gym has a sort of cable machine, which is great, but the accessory options are a bit limited. Also, the hotel's signage is a bit unclear. The underground garage is actually on the hotel's 1st floor, but there are no signs indicating how to get from the garage to the public areas on the 1st floor. When exiting the garage to check in, the elevator sign says the hotel lobby is on the 3rd floor, and reception is on the 5th floor. Taihu Hotel's layout is a bit different from other hotels, so I was slightly confused and went to the 3rd floor looking for the lobby, but check-in is actually on the 5th floor. Perhaps it would be helpful to add a note like ”Reception (Check-in)” next to ”Reception” on the signs.

Don't rush to chase the sights; just savor the moment. Bask in the sun in Andu's courtyard, lose yourself in a good book at the book bar, and let Suzhou's slow pace gently envelop every part of your journey. That's why I absolutely loved my stay this time; the experience was great, and it offered excellent value for money. It's a pet-friendly hotel, the rooms are clean and hygienic, and all the amenities are complimentary. The staff are warm and welcoming, and they even offer Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) experiences. The facilities are comprehensive, and the transportation is convenient!
The hotel's location is excellent, and the city view from the room is fantastic. However, it is an older hotel, so the facilities are quite dated. Things like dim lighting and the elevator not showing the current floor are understandable. But the service was really subpar. It was advertised that they have robot service, but all food deliveries had to be picked up from a locker downstairs. What exactly is the robot service used for then? Also, toilet paper wasn't replenished in the bathroom. My booking confirmation stated that breakfast was included, and I had even double-checked it on the platform beforehand. Yet, when I went to the restaurant, I was told my room type didn't include breakfast. I had to call the front desk to confirm, and the result was still no breakfast. So, is this a platform issue or a hotel management problem? Honestly, this was the worst service experience I've had in years.

The stay was very pleasant. The staff was very good, including the cleaning aunt. They were very enthusiastic. They would not dislike us because we brought the dog. They always emphasized that they were pet-friendly hotels. Of course, we also brought towels and kennels to the dog, and consciously did a good job in cleaning the pet. The location of the hotel is very good, 50 meters away is the pedestrian street. The room is warm and comfortable, the bedding is very good, the room is also a smart home, can be voice-controlled. All staff are warm and friendly, and there is a self-service coffee machine in the lobby. Is a recommended hotel! Our family's best memories in Jiangyan!

This experience truly exceeded my expectations, leaving me feeling incredibly comfortable and at ease from start to finish. It definitely deserves a detailed, heartfelt review. From the ambiance to the service and even the small details, you can feel the owner's dedication and professionalism; there's absolutely no cutting corners, which makes me genuinely want to recommend it.
Upon arrival, I immediately felt comfortable. The overall environment is clean and tidy, decorated in a cozy yet stylish way. The space is spacious and bright, without any clutter or oppressive feeling. The cleanliness is exceptional; even the corners are spotless, making a great first impression. You can tell a lot of thought went into both the facility layout and the atmosphere, making it very relaxing to be in, with absolutely no discomfort.
The service was even more impressive. The staff were gentle, warm, and polite, always patient and meticulous, ready to answer any questions, and quick to respond. They weren't overly enthusiastic nor cold and indifferent, striking the perfect balance. They proactively helped solve problems, were responsible and considerate of customers at every turn, taking care of many small details that made me feel valued and respected. The entire communication process was smooth, and the experience was excellent; the service alone made it worth every penny.
The value for money is also outstanding. Both the price and quality are well worth the cost, with no hidden fees or gimmicks. They genuinely focus on service and reputation. Among similar establishments, this one stands out in both hardware and software. The advantages are clear when comparing, truly delivering excellent value for money.
Overall, this was a very pleasant, worry-free, and satisfying experience with no complaints whatsoever – smooth and comfortable throughout. You can tell the owner is serious about their work and genuinely cares for every guest, which is truly rare. I will prioritize staying here in the future and will sincerely recommend it to my family, friends, and colleagues. Good businesses deserve to be seen by more people. I wish them continued success and prosperity!

This is a truly historical garden hotel. I looked it up, and it was built during the Qing Dynasty, making it a tourist attraction in itself. The location is unbeatable; you just step out and you're on Pingjiang Road, which is Suzhou's most iconic ancient street and a must-visit when in Suzhou. You can easily walk to the Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Suzhou Museum from here. I have to praise the breakfast – there's a wide variety and everything is delicious. You absolutely have to try a bowl of the wontons; they are so good! 😋

GGuest UserKudos to the cleaning staff on the 15th floor during Chinese New Year. The front desk, which is supposed to be the hotel's face, was a letdown. We checked in at the left counter using Hong Kong IDs, and after we were done, they asked if we needed help with our luggage. We had elderly and children with us, but there wasn't a single word of greeting. Breakfast was up to four-star standards; not a huge variety, but good quality. The lounge on the 5th floor was very average. They had red and white wine, but you had to ask the staff for beer.
GGuest UserCleanliness: Very clean, it felt really comfortable and relaxing. There was a subtle fragrance when I entered the room.
Environment: The subway station is right outside, which is super convenient.
Service: Every front desk staff member was very enthusiastic, patient, polite, and gentle with everyone.
Overall, this was the best hotel I stayed at during my trip. The service was excellent, the view from the window was beautiful, and the front desk even offered free coffee and disinfectant wipes, which was a very thoughtful touch.

GGuest UserI booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations.
We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby.
We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed.
Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel.
This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance.
We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again.
Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed.
When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet.
Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel.

GGuest UserThe hotel is elegantly decorated, the rooms are warm and comfortable, and the bedding is soft and clean. The service staff is enthusiastic, professional and meticulous. The food is rich and delicious, the transportation is convenient, and the overall experience exceeds expectations. I highly recommend it!
FFairy DeeThe hotel is lovely. Especially the service from the staff. Most of them speak English and are always willing to help. If anything goes wrong they make sure to correct it and leave you satisfied. Rooms are quiet and spacious. The breakfast is good , has bit of variety of western and Chinese food. The highlight for me was the food truck by the patio. It sells affordable and delicious hotdogs and very yummy ice-cream. there is a small water show in the evening as well . It’s also near a mall so many food options. A little far from the subway or train station but I’ll still give it a 10/10!

CChifanpeiyinliaoThis hotel is definitely a great place to walk your kids! The ecology is very good! We even saw a hare! But maybe it’s because it’s outdoors! It seems like the door to the candy room is a little broken! Not so easy to close! Then the electric cars in the park require money to use but they are too slow! And the cost is a bit high!
The service attitude at the front desk is very good! Very eager to help!
The road to the swimming pool is not easy to walk! Must be very careful! It's easy to fall! The locker room environment needs cleaning!
The interior of the room is clean and acceptable!

Amenities: Excellent
Cleanliness: Spotless
Environment: Tidy
Service: Very good
GGuest UserFacilities: Comprehensive. There's a dedicated elevator from the underground parking directly to the 5th-floor lobby, then you switch to another elevator that requires a key card to access your floor. While a bit inconvenient, it does ensure privacy.
Cleanliness: Tidy and spotless, with a well-designed wet and dry separation.
Environment: Excellent, with a prime location.
Service: The customer service was warm and welcoming. The egg rolls at the buffet were delicious, and you can even take coffee to go.
