Every time I travel, I agonize over which hotel to choose. I usually check out highly-rated hotels and see what their negative reviews say. For my trip to Zhangye, I also picked from several hotels. My personal experience was fantastic, exceeding my expectations. I didn't encounter any of the issues mentioned in some reviews. The staff were all young, vibrant, and the service was simply impeccable. From pick-up at the station to drop-off at the airport, every detail made me feel incredibly comfortable. The room was also spotlessly clean. The hotel's breakfast was the best I've had on this trip – a wide variety of options and a spacious dining area. For this price, staying at a hotel like this is incredibly good value for money.

The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around. The room was clean, tidy, and well-lit, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The front desk staff were warm, attentive, and responsive. The facilities are comprehensive, and it offers fantastic value for money. My stay was an excellent experience, and I highly recommend it!

The hotel is in a convenient location and is well-furnished and my room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is very satisfactory. The front desk staff were helpful and polite; special thanks to Xiao Wang and Xiao Xie who very patiently helped me with my laundry and with getting the bus to Maiji Shan. 😊

How should I put this? Maybe because it's a provincial capital, this hotel was the most expensive one on our trip to the Northwest. But honestly, the room was small – the kind where you can only open either the room door or the bathroom door at a time. And there was no light above the shower (just sharing the main bathroom ceiling light), so it was really dark. Although you need a key card to access the upper floors, someone still inexplicably knocked on our door (we later found out they had the wrong room). Getting around wasn't super convenient either; it's close to Zhengning Road Night Market, but you basically need a taxi to get to other attractions!

My stay didn't start well, but thankfully, it ended on a high note. I chose this hotel for an early rest after a late-night flight, and to avoid any odd rooms, I didn't even book the cheapest room type. However, the room I was assigned, supposedly an upgrade to a Deluxe Room, turned out to be a weirdly shaped corner room (I believe all room 15s in Building 2 have this layout). From the sofa, you couldn't see the TV, and from the bed, you couldn't face it either. The curtains hid an angled, curved glass window, making the actual living area very cramped – I had to squeeze sideways to get from the foot of the bed to the sofa! I called to request a room change, and the AI transfer said it was the front desk. They told me to wait on the line, and then for 10 minutes, there was no one speaking or responding on the other end, nor did they hang up. I ended up having to drag my luggage downstairs to the front desk to change rooms, which took almost an hour in total – definitely not a mood booster. The front desk suddenly got busy with more guests checking in, but the gentleman at the desk patiently served everyone and politely helped me switch rooms. He explained that he wasn't the one who answered my call (I still don't know where my call went or who answered it). The new room was a standard, square layout, with a view of the airport operations area where I could see planes taking off and landing, but without significant noise. As a new hotel, the wardrobe had an odor eliminator. The TV playback often paused (likely a network issue, screen mirroring didn't have this problem). All the staff I encountered were very polite, which I appreciate. The airport shuttle was convenient, and the hotel is genuinely close to the airport – only about a 10-minute walk if you don't mind the sun. Objectively speaking, and not considering the price or the 'room type lottery,' this hotel should be the best option for an overnight layover at Lanzhou Airport right now.

We truly had an amazing stay in this hotel. The staff members were amongst the friendliest and most helpful we've ever come across. They were very responsive over the trip app and WeChat, and helped us with everything (including finding a fantastic driver to do day trips, changing our rooms at arrival because we wanted a non-smoking room, etc.). The room was very spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was pretty good! We loved everything, reall;, and would definitely recommend to family and friends (and stay here again ourselves if/when we're back in Zhangye!) ☺️

Facilities: The facilities are complete, and you can control the lights and curtains with voice commands, which is quite convenient. Hygiene: It was cleaned very well. Environment: The room is great, and the projector works wonderfully. Next time, I'll try a different room type. Service: The front desk staff were very friendly and efficient with check-in. They also helped us resolve a small issue, which was much appreciated.

My stay at Orange Crystal this time completely exceeded my expectations, and I absolutely have to give a special shout-out to Tingting at the front desk! As soon as I walked in, Tingting warmly greeted me with a gentle and friendly attitude, with no hint of perfunctoriness. She proactively informed me about breakfast times, elevator locations, and even thoughtfully recommended delicious nearby restaurants and travel routes. Later, when I lost a small item while changing rooms, I bothered Tingting to help me look for it. She patiently assisted me in cross-referencing and retrieving records throughout the whole process, showing incredible responsibility. The room was clean and odor-free, the bedding was soft, and the soundproofing was good, but Tingting's thoughtful and attentive service was the biggest bonus this time. Her professional and warm approach made me feel incredibly at ease while traveling. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely choose it again next time, specifically looking for Tingting at the front desk!

Everything was amazing! But as someone who values cleanliness above everything this hotel have fantastic job in that area! I also like to mention that in the laundry room when you do the washing or drying, you’re able to scan a QR code and it will give you the waiting time on a WeChat mini program and it will also tell you when it’s finished. it will also tell you how many machines are free and how many are in use, which I think is such a small detail but so convenient for travellers. The hotel shares the same building with another hotel, but you don’t feel crowded at all. A small suggestion would be to recommend to the hotel that the breakfast have some halal options as there are many Muslims and Lanzhou. If you’re looking for an amazing hotel with an amazing view, I would highly recommend Intercity! ♥️

This hotel is located in Lanzhou Old Street, offering a quiet retreat amidst a bustling area. We were upgraded to a quieter room, which really made for a comfortable night's sleep. The facilities are good too; it would be even more convenient if there was a coffee table to place things on. What truly impressed me the most was the hotel's service. All the staff members were warm and friendly, including the cleaning aunties, who provided timely and attentive service. They even thoughtfully prepared a 'cheer-up' kit for us participants of the Lanzhou Marathon, which included various snacks, cooling patches, and band-aids – something I've never encountered before! There was also a special backdrop in the hotel lobby, showing how much effort Lanzhou as a city put into making this event a success. It was truly touching. The hotel is conveniently located less than a 10-minute walk from Matan Metro Station, with plenty of bus routes nearby. I really enjoyed Lanzhou Old Street; it has everything for dining, lodging, and entertainment. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Lanzhou.
