The service and breakfast were both good. I even forgot something, and the hotel called to thank me for it. However, the strange thing about this hotel is that the air conditioning only turns on at 6 PM. I came back from Maiji Mountain in the afternoon and was really cold, wanting to rest in the room. But I ended up having to wear my down jacket indoors. Air conditioning only starting at 6 PM? This is the first time I've encountered something like this in all my years of traveling!

The hotel is located in the Old Street commercial district. Finding parking was a bit of a hassle, but if you call the front desk beforehand, their directions are very clear. I had forgotten my contact lens solution and couldn't buy any since I arrived late. When I asked the front desk for help, they surprisingly lent me their personal solution to use! Huge appreciation for their kindness and excellent service. The beef noodles at breakfast were delicious, although other options were somewhat limited. The overall environment of the hotel is pleasant, and despite its location in a busy commercial area, the room was quiet and undisturbed. There are many convenient dining options nearby; I recommend trying the 'Kang Guo Yang Rou' (pot-stewed lamb).

Facilities: The only downside is that I could hear everything my neighbors said.
Hygiene: Very clean, someone cleaned it every day.
Environment: The environment here speaks for itself, perfect for watching the sunrise 🌅.
Service: The service here is really great, probably because it's the off-season. Room service arrived as soon as I called, and they even delivered takeout to my room. The restaurant staff were incredibly enthusiastic. I would definitely stay here again.

I've been to Gansu several times and stayed in nearly 20 different hotels, across various price points. This one is, without a doubt, the most satisfying experience I've had in the province.
The lobby and guest room design are very modern for the area, with solid materials and excellent aesthetics. Every staff member I encountered, from the front desk to the restaurant to housekeeping, was attentive and very friendly.
The front desk staff were efficient during check-in and even remembered a casual request I made. They also offered many daily necessities for guests, a small but thoughtful touch.
The room was cleaned promptly and thoroughly. The bottled water was delicious, and the linens were excellent.
I arrived for breakfast quite early the next day. There was a host at the entrance guiding guests, and after being seated, the cutlery was meticulously arranged. Every chef at the live cooking stations greeted us enthusiastically. Tableware was cleared promptly, and even though it was early, everyone looked energetic and cheerful, radiating positive energy to the guests.
The breakfast selection was incredibly rich! From Chinese to Western, everything you could want was there, and the presentation was thoughtful. Most items were made-to-order and tasted great. Unlike many star-rated hotels nowadays that rely heavily on pre-made items, making it hard to discern the team's skill, this place was superb.
Overall, many hotels are willing to spend money on materials, but it's rare to find one with such excellent management and service. I hope the hotel and its team continue to improve. I believe it's already undeniably the best in Zhangye, and I hope it strives to become the best in Hexi!

Comfortable room, a good size with blackout curtains. The hotel is an easy walking distance from the train station no matter how much luggage you have. Free laundry facilities. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, happy to answer questions and assist with bookings and locating various services around town.
The only negative is breakfast. Both days I was there one or more of the bread products were stale. Paper cups are provided for cold drinks (which seems needlessly wasteful) the one morning I tried, the orange juice was flavorless and watered down- it tasted like when you refill a juice bottle with water. The shape of the seating area is also unfortunate. There are two corners where people seem to appear out of nowhere and both days I encountered numerous children running and who absolutely should not have been allowed to bring their scooters in to the breakfast area (not the mobility kind) making carrying hot drinks and plates of food dangerous and unpleasant. Definitely recommended, just skip breakfast!
The bright lobby and warm and thoughtful front desk immediately give you a feeling of being at home, and the fatigue of driving for hundreds of kilometers. The front desk clerk is professional and standardized. The corridors of the rooms are wide, the carpets are clean and refreshing, the room layout is novel, the functional areas are clear, and the lighting layout is thoughtful. Self-driving parking is convenient, the ground and basement can be satisfied. Breakfast is good, super general hotel of this class, guests who are eager to hurry can receive ”breakfast package”, the service is very thoughtful. The whole hotel has a strong cultural atmosphere and a petty bourgeoisie. Whether it is a business trip or a rest, it is a good choice of accommodation.

When I booked the hotel, I was a bit worried seeing that the pick-up service was only from 8 AM to midnight. I specifically called to confirm that they could still pick me up even if my train arrived in Dunhuang around 7 AM. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Shazhou Night Market, Dunhuang Bookstore, Dunhuang Print Bureau, and Mingsha Mountain. I'm very grateful to the kind lady at the front desk for upgrading my room and allowing me to check in early. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Oh, and the two cats at the front desk are absolutely adorable!

This is the first time we stayed with Mehood Lestie in China, and we’re happy with the service provided by all the staff. They made us feel welcome and at home. The room is nice and clean. The free laundry room is a plus especially for travellers like us, who are spending long time travelling in China. They provide free bottled water in the room as well as in the reception and by the lift of every floor. The staff reacted quickly when I complained about cigarette smoke in our room on the first evening we stayed, which I suspected some guests were smoking by the window at the corridor. After they checked and the smell of cigarette smoke was gone. It’s not the hotel’s fault as they can’t always monitor what guests will do, and there are non-smoking signs everywhere in the hotel. Unfortunately, there are always some guests who have no consideration at all. Apart from this slight issue which is not the hotel fault, I recommended the hotel!

The hotel is situated on the north bank of the Yellow River, offering stunning views. My room overlooked the Yellow River, Bailashan Park, and Zhongshan Bridge, providing an unobstructed panoramic vista. Whether it was the majestic mountains and river during the day or the dazzling lights at night, it felt like a living painting. Stepping downstairs, I could stroll along the Yellow River Scenic Route, experiencing the unique charm of Jincheng Lanzhou. The location is truly impeccable.
The Hyatt Regency Lanzhou was more than just a place to stay; it became an integral part of my wonderful memories during this trip to Lanzhou. It perfectly blended breathtaking scenery, top-notch facilities, and warm hospitality.
If I visit Lanzhou again, this will undoubtedly be my only choice. I highly recommend it to all friends visiting Lanzhou!
Special thanks to the thoughtful Ms. Coco! See you next time!
The Atour Hotel in Dingxi is quite good. The rooms are very new, the facilities are clean and convenient, there is an underground parking lot directly connected to the guest room. What I like most is its laundry room. The washing machine and dryer are super large and easy to operate. It's awesome. The breakfast is also good. I recommend Dingxi wide noodles.

AAnonymous UserOn baidu map, it says that from Zhangye railway station to the hotel is about 3 km but when actually navigating my way over while carrying a luggage, it was so much further than I'd expect because Zhnagye's road and traffic are quite chaotic. Many traffic lights aren't even in operation and there are quite a few (3 I think) t+junctions that pedestrian have to cross via the underpass. The cars doesn't quite obey the traffic lights, so be careful and cautious.
For the hotel itself, it's definitely one of my favorite overall, out of my 3 hotel stays during my trip. According to the receptionist I was offered a room upgrade, so thank you! There were also lots of free treats evertime I cleared it, so thank you again! Love especially the red dates yogurt, it's definitely a must try (although they were 2-3days after expiry). I even went out to the grocery to get more! Regarding the amenities, the air conditioner works but can't be controlled. Tried setting temp to 5 degree Celsius (lowest settings) and 30 degree celcius (highest setting), both doesn't work. It seems like it is fixed to room temp +/- a few degrees based on the temp outdoor. One of the day I had sunburn and wanted to cool off but due to how the temp was determined, I have no choice but to sweat it out. Other than that, the tap water here had very visible residue that you can tell that it isn't clear, so I really recommend not using it for drinking water boiled or not. Aon my last day, I wanted to try the bathtub but when I turned on the tap, I had a shock. The water that came out was brown, so I cancelled my initial plan of using it for relaxation 😕. There is also a humidifier provided and I am super grateful for that, however the water ran out on the 2nd day and I can't seem to fill it up correctly. The toilet bowl is also a smart toilet bowl, but I didn't realized it after closer inspection while trying to find how to flush. Lastly, I was so looking forward to the stars celling but it's kinda sad that you can't turn it on on its own without having the other lights turned on as well. Which honestly defeats the purpose of having a star gazing celling.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is excellent; right outside, you can catch buses to destinations like Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, the airport, the train station, and Xuanquanzi Scenic Area.
The hotel interior is also quite new, and the bedding is good.
Downsides: The water wasn't hot enough. They required a 30 RMB deposit for each room key card, which is something I haven't seen in years. For such a large hotel, it felt really petty.
The front desk service wasn't bad, but it felt a bit forced and uncomfortable. I don't know why, but they barely smiled, which made me wonder if the management was mistreating them? It just made for an uncomfortable experience.
They offer a station drop-off service, which I initially thought was a nice perk. However, the communication was unclear, and I wasn't sure if the car was even there. When you're traveling in an unfamiliar place and have a train to catch, punctuality is crucial. No one could give me a clear answer. In the end, I had to repeatedly press the front desk in the morning before they could confirm. It left a very bad impression; the entire management seems to have issues.
MM474414****From the airport pick-up, proactively helping with luggage, to always greeting guests and reminding them about the weather – every detail felt thoughtful. The room even had soda water and yogurt. Given the dry climate in the Northwest, a humidifier was provided, and there was a foot bath after hiking. The laundry room and drying pavilion were free to use. The hotel has a cat named Zhouzhou, who is truly the ”healing ambassador” of the lobby. Zhouzhou acts like a ”lobby manager,” often leisurely ”on duty,” sleeping on the lobby chairs. He's very friendly and not afraid of strangers. He has a naturally calming presence; petting him when you're tired from your journey is incredibly stress-relieving and became an unexpectedly warm memory of my Dunhuang trip.
__WeChat12671****The best hotel I stayed at during my trip to the Hexi Corridor:
Facilities: Smart technology throughout the room, excellent air conditioning and heating, smart toilets in every room, and a restaurant and gym on the first floor.
Cleanliness: Spotless rooms, modern and spacious lobby.
Environment: Very close to the city center and Jiayuguan Scenic Area, parking available in the backyard, and surrounded by restaurants and convenience stores.
Service: The receptionist was friendly and helpful, answering all my questions promptly. She even upgraded my room and gave me a complimentary gift.
Breakfast: Here's the highlight! For someone who frequently travels for business and stays in hotels, this hotel's breakfast was simply phenomenal. They had salmon, Buddha Jumps Over the Wall soup, and the selection rivaled that of a buffet at a major city hotel.
In summary, a highly recommended hotel.
GGuest UserOut of all the hotels I stayed at during this trip, this one was hands down the best experience!
From the moment we checked in, everything was incredibly smooth and stress-free. The staff were not only warm and enthusiastic but also incredibly thoughtful, proactively recommending local attractions and routes for us. The check-in process itself was super efficient, completed within minutes, so we didn't waste any time from our itinerary.
What truly impressed me was the breakfast. The freshly ground coffee was exceptionally rich and smooth, providing the perfect refreshing start to each day. The hotel's specialty breakfast was also incredibly authentic, allowing us to savor genuine local flavors – I couldn't resist having a little extra every morning!
Overall, the experience was absolutely fantastic. If I travel to this area again, I will definitely choose this hotel!
UU.weixiaoThe room was very clean, the service was friendly, and the front desk lady upgraded the family room for free, which was very nice. The breakfast was also very good, and the hotel was in a good location. It was very cheap to take a taxi. It was very close to Shazhou Night Market and Crescent Moon Lake, and it only cost 5 yuan to get to the night market. After comparing it with 4-star hotels, I feel that this hotel is very cost-effective. Recommended 👍👍👍👍👍

AAnonymous UserPicking this hotel is the right decision. The overall stay experience is very satisfactory! It is extremely suitable for my needs.
1. The hotel is conveniently located, only 15-20 minutes drive from the airport, which is a blessing for passengers on early and late flights, without worrying about the traffic problem of catching the plane;
2. The service at the front desk is considerate and warm, Miaomiao is warm and thoughtful and takes the initiative to greet, and the communication is pleasant😃
3. The room is large and clean, and it is very comfortable to live in, which adds a lot to this trip.
Overall, this hotel is not only in a great location, but also has a good service. It is highly recommended to friends who need to catch a flight and pursue comfortable accommodation!
AAnonymous UserA hotel that exceeded expectations, with meticulous service, enthusiastic staff, clean and sanitary, and high cost performance! There are local specialties tea, welcome fruits in the guest room, and drinks before rest, and they also thoughtfully prepared foot bath buckets; breakfast and the hotel Chinese restaurant are great, with rich breakfast and local snacks, and the Chinese restaurant has local specialties and thoughtful service. When traveling with children, the hotel thoughtfully gave the children a breakfast. It's a very expensive hotel, currently 4 stars, but it is worth recommending!
LLiumingrui_PeterThis hotel truly exceeded my expectations! Discovering this hotel in Dunhuang felt like stepping back in time to the Han and Tang dynasties, or even to a foreign land. The hotel facilities and service were excellent, and our housekeeper, Xingzi, was incredibly attentive! We also visited the hotel's exhibition, which was fantastic! The breakfast was also delicious, though we hope they'll offer more à la carte options.
