Visitor needs to enrol and verify their passports at a manual counter upon arrive (see section on Registering for E-Gate Clearance).
So for Singaporeans, that's great news. To use the automated gates, your passport must be valid for at least 3 more months from the date of travel and you need to be of minimum height of 120cm. So a note to parents, if your child is below 120cm in height, you have to accompany them through the manual lanes.
