Accommodation in Krabi: Best Choices for Every Season

Krabi Maritime Resort

Dry & Hot Season (November - April):

Luxury Resorts: This is the peak tourist season in Krabi, so booking luxury resorts or beachfront hotels in advance is advisable. Areas like Ao Nang, Railay, and the Phi Phi Islands offer upscale accommodations with stunning views and amenities.

Mid-Range Hotels: For those seeking a balance between comfort and cost, Krabi offers a range of mid-range hotels. Look for properties with good air conditioning and pools to cool off.

Budget-Friendly Options: Budget travelers can find hostels and guesthouses, particularly in Krabi Town and Ao Nang. Booking in advance is recommended as prices can rise due to high demand.

Wet Monsoon Season (Mid April - October):

Rainy Season Deals: As this is the low season for tourism, many hotels offer discounts. It’s a great time to enjoy luxury accommodations at a fraction of the cost.

Eco-Lodges and Retreats: For a unique experience, consider staying in eco-lodges or retreats in the jungle, where the monsoon brings out the lushness of the surroundings.

Beachfront Bungalows: Some beachfront bungalows might offer reduced rates during this season. Check for places with good reviews regarding their monsoon preparedness.

Shoulder Seasons (April-May and October-November):

Versatile Options: These months offer a mix of accommodations as the tourist crowd is less dense. From beach resorts to budget hostels, you can find a variety of options without the need to book far in advance.

Villas and Apartments: Consider renting villas or apartments for a more personal and homely experience. These can be especially appealing for longer stays or group travel.

Travel Tips for Accommodation

  • Book in Advance: For the dry season, book your accommodation well in advance to secure the best spots.
  • Check for Seasonal Offers: Keep an eye out for seasonal promotions and offers, especially during the monsoon season.
  • Consider Location: Choose accommodations based on your activities. Beachfront for relaxation, near the town for nightlife, and close to nature for jungle treks.

By choosing the right accommodation for your travel season, you can greatly enhance your Krabi experience, ensuring comfort and convenience regardless of the weather.

Ao Nang Krabi Town|11.01km from downtown
It's hard to dislike this place as the view makes up for a lot. Some of the amenities are a bit dated. We had some bad luck with our jacuzzi tub not working properly but after we got the staff to understand what was wrong they came and fixed it. They are very accommodating and they really do their best to make your stay as nice as possible. Pay the extra money for the breakfast. It's really worth it. So much choice and made with care. The one big downside really is that you have to hike the monkey trail or catch a boat to get to Ao Nang. And the hotel food prices are a bit on the high side. We didn't mind ourselves, but if you have difficulty climbing the stairs it might be inconvenient. At night the longtail boats from Ao Nang Beach ask a ridiculous amount of money to ferry you to the hotel. On the plus side; you get an amazing view every time you look out your window. The bed is comfortable. The food (if you don't mind the cost) is tasty. The staff is super nice. The pool is great. Did I mention how amazing the view was already? It really is a tranquil place and we enjoyed our time there immensely. So, no 5* but that's only 'cause I think the attention to detail could be a bit better for the price range.

This was my second stay at this hotel. The front desk attendant who spoke Chinese had a lovely, sweet smile, and all the staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The hotel facilities were fine, but I do hope for more variety at breakfast. The clear waters and complimentary water activities are a definite plus. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets in the evening and a stunning starry sky at night. My only complaint concerns the two-bedroom ocean view pool villa we booked this time. We stayed in room 2302, and the air conditioning vent had a design flaw: it was positioned directly above the main bed, and the noise was so loud that it kept us awake for several nights. We complained to the front desk, and they sent staff to adjust the vent to blow left, right, and upwards, but it didn't make a noticeable difference. We requested a room change, but the hotel was almost fully booked, so they couldn't accommodate us. Our request for an early check-out was also unsuccessful. To fellow travelers planning a stay: if you're booking a villa, I strongly recommend opting for the upper floor Sala Ocean View Villa. Do NOT book the type I stayed in, otherwise you'll truly regret it – it's a waste of money, and your overall experience will be severely compromised.

They offer Chinese-speaking services, and the coast is absolutely stunning with soft, white sands and 'jelly-like' clear waters. The service is as exceptional as what you'd expect from a Ritz-Carlton – truly outstanding and international standard. Our butler was incredibly attentive, arranging afternoon tea and evening turn-down service daily. The dining was decent, with a good mix of Western and Thai cuisine. What really sets this place apart is the complimentary activities like yoga, sailing, and kayaking, making it incredible value for money. Honestly, just book the Banyan Tree Krabi without hesitation. The service here, compared to the Banyan Tree Sanya, is a world apart – this one is far superior with fantastic activities. A special thanks to the hotel's Chinese butler! We'll definitely be back, especially with the daily fresh fruit delivery.

It started with the parking space in Front of the Hotel, the Reception came to the entrance to welcome us and asked for the ID/ Passport/ Credit Card and we got some refreshment. I am a Permanent Resident and this raise sometimes questions, because it's not so common. They only asked for my Driver License instead of my ID card, I guess because there is the Name in latin letters and Non Residence would have the Passport Number instead of the ID card number. The checkin was very fast done and needed only the email and two signatures. The room have a lot of space, a romantic lightning even in the bathroom. And it's direct at the beach. All staff are super friendly. Even the internship in the Restaurant know was a good service is. And at the checkout we was asked to wait 5 min.. But it take less than 2 minutes. I work for hotels and know what is going on there and this is really impressive. Of course it will be in the high season not always possible to be that fast. The breakfast buffet was more a brunch than just breakfast. From smoked salmon to cheese, even noodles with cheese, from chok to different curries was all there, different kind of bread and pastries, of course fresh fruits, a egg station and a good selection of juice and a coffee. Not every hotel offer in the low season a buffet and even less a huge buffet like this. The location is direct on the sea and you don't see a lot of the area around, what gives 4 Stars. To go to a restaurant outside or see something nice, you need to drive. For us was this not the big issue, because we arrived anyway with the car and in 5 min. you find nice places. Also the street to the Hotel is small and some construction sides, but the people there are also all helpful. The only part where the hotel could improve a little was the fish pond next to the Restaurant, there would be a cleaning needed. What would maybe be done at the next day. We was only one night there and this was not a real issue. But the reason why only 4 of 5 points. All another part of the hotel was in a great condition and very clean. We loved it there and I am sure we will have some another stop overs there

Ao Num Mao Bay Krabi Town|6.83km from downtown
It’s quite secluded which is why we picked it. It’s quiet and honestly a paradise. However if you want to do loads of stuff and activities you will need to get a taxi/grab/bolt everywhere, there is very little to do in walking distance and there are no paths to walk for the most part, so it really depends on what you are looking for. They have a small vehicle which goes to ao nang 4 times a day. Once in ao nang (20 mins away) you can get boats to Railay beach, or other islands. It’s busy and touristy in ao nang so the shellsea is a nice escape from this. 20 mins the other way is Krabi town which we preferred, with the mountain monument (highly recommend but only if you are fit!!). A grab/bolt here is about 180baht each way. The hotel breakfast is lovely with coffees made to order. There is another restaurant which overlooks the beach and sea which is really nice too. The pool area overlooks the bay and is quiet and peaceful. Very well maintained and clean. There are lots of activities on at the hotel if you prefer to stay around the hotel such as Pilates, yoga, Muay Thai, kayaking, etc. Staff are friendly and attentive.

Spent 4D3N with family at the hotel. Room is a bit outdated but still spacious. The room I stayed in facing the street, and above convenient store, 7-Eleven. Hence, it is still quite noisy at night. Quite a distance walk (10-15mins) from beachfront. Breakfast is so-so, just decent to keep you feed before the daily activities. One thing to praise is the friendly staff and also the refreshing welcome drinks. Overall a pleasant stay there.

We arrived to our room being sweltering hot. In fact it was cooler outside than it was inside. I understand that with current fuel prices being so high, that they aren’t going to leave the air con all day anticipating our arrival. They offered us a pass to put into the slot so the air con wouldn’t turn off if we left the room, but with our room being at the top of the mountain. I did expect for them to bring it to our room rather than making us treck back down and up again. The room wasn’t clean… shower head was black with mould, when pointed out this was rectified. We upgraded to a room with a bath but couldn’t use it as it leaked and flooded the bathroom when using. We notified the hotel, they sent someone to fix it but no compensation was offered despite paying an extra 5,000 baht for this feature and only being able to use it once. Breakfast is like a horror show. I can only describe it as horrendous. My advice is save your money and don’t add breakfast to your room rate. Baked beans were cold, French toast was a thin slice of hoavis stuck to the bottom of the metal warmer. Yoghurt had flies in it - the only thing mildly edible was the egg station. Staff at breakfast was incredibly rude… we asked for some ice and lemon for our water, slices of lemon were thrown down at my husband, again notified reception and nothing was done. This is a Muslim hotel so no alcohol is served at the bar, not a big deal as they allow you to bring in drink from the 7/11 across the road but it’s not really advertised very well. Pool is lovely and the pool bar staff were nice, the rooms are good and shuttle service was ok. We only had a one issue of it taking half an hour to arrive. It is walkable if you’re fit - unfortunately I couldn’t walk up due to illness so had to wait out the 30 minutes. Location is good. Ao Nang beach is about 20/25 minute walk but there are free shuttles (one way) offered by the hotel when they feel like it, but Grab Taxi’s are cheap and easy to get. Ao Nang night market is brilliant and about a 15 minute taxi ride away. Would say it isn’t really worth the money is and more like a 3 star. It could be such a great hotel with improvements. A bit disappointed with it considering it was part of our honeymoon trip and feel we were let down.

I had an unpleasant experience with this hotel. Upon check-in, I wish to cancel the remaining 3 nights because I find the standard is not there with the price paid. Hence I have contacted trip.com as well as informed the hotel staff. They just said they cannot cancel and need to check with the booking agent. When I made the booking with this hotel, I opted for free cancellation. And when I found out, I noticed the cancellation should be made one month before the check in date?! This is the first time I had this cancellation policy. Usually it should be ok to stay for the first night and be able to cancel the following nights if opted for free cancellation. Unfortunately this hotel is not allowed. Breakfast was bad, food was cold even with heating below. Location was not great as it's not on main street. Hotel floor is wet and bedsheets with damp smell. Toilet with stains.Night time you will hear insects sounds from the cliffstone nearby. Overall I do not recommend to stay at this hotel as you can find better standard with the same price range.

Location was good, near to many eateries and 7-11 shop. Breakfast have alot of variety and the food was great. There are two swimming pools. There was 1 for 1 drink promotion at the pool bar. The pool at the top floor has a very nice view of rhe cliff, but the deck chairs there do not have umbrella. Gym is small. Only have one threadmill. The Lat Pulldown machine is out of order. Hotel room floor was always wet, due to condensation. Depending on room facing, it may get quite noisy as hotel is near to RCA. Noticed that there is a new night market (Blue Mountain Market) constructed at rhe open field behind the hotel. So in future the market could potentially be noisy. Overall a great hotel, the staff are friendly, very good customer service.

Stayed at Centara Ao Nang Beach Resort & Spa Krabi recently for 2N3D. The hotel itself is very nice – great location near the beach, clean rooms, and friendly staff. The facilities and overall environment made the stay comfortable. However, I was a bit disappointed because my special request made during booking was not acknowledged or addressed. It would have made the experience much better if the hotel had at least responded or informed us earlier. Overall still a pleasant stay, but I hope the hotel pays more attention to guest requests in the future.

If they can spend more service it will be a much nicer resort. Really appreciate the location and the environment, and the private beach, and also the villa area. But… Can’t say the room is dirty but dusty; The grumpy face of an old woman in reception is worst in Thailand ever, I couldn’t understand why she is here if she doesn’t like her job or welcome the guest; The breakfast was included but the food is not good enough to wake me up so if I have a choice I will not pay for it; The price is good, so if u don’t care about these, it’s still a worth to go.

The staff were so friendly and attentive. They bent over backwards to ensure we had an amazing stay. The location was an easy walk into town but also far enough away from the action in town to really relax and have some down time on rest days. We kept costs down by adding an extra bed to our unit for our teenager. Rooms were cleaned each day. Food was delicious. Can’t fault the place. Loved it.

We had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was big, spacious, and comfortable, with a great hot shower which was perfect after long days out exploring. The hotel itself has two swimming pools, both of which were nice places to relax, although only one had cushioned loungers. Breakfast had a good variety of options each morning, so it was easy to find something you felt like starting the day with. The staff were also very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay, which always makes a big difference. There are quite a lot of stairs around the property, although elevators are available. Because of that, it might not be the easiest place for someone with limited mobility. I’d describe this as a great city-style hotel — it’s close to pretty much anything you might want, and the airport is only about a 30-minute commute away, which is very convenient. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

We had a pool villa and everything was lovely! There are 2 things I would say were not ideal though, the first being the stairs to the pool villas were hard work! No lift option was available. The second, was the monkeys. We were told on check in to keep the balcony doors and windows locked but that was all. We woke up to around 7 or 8 extremely aggressive monkeys tearing the kitchen apart! They totally trashed the place and stole all our food. Luckily there was a door to the bedroom we could close because as soon as they saw us they charged! My friend had to use the umbrella to get them away. They came back about an hour later and even though the balcony doors were locked they stayed for an hour trashing the deck and trying to get inside. One of them managed to shake the doors unlocked but we just got to it in time to close it again. They were running at the glass doors bashing their hands on the glass it was really scary!!

This is our second visit to Ban Sainai resort Krabhi, first visit was in 2016.. I can say the experience got better.. We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful resort in Krabi. We booked a pond-facing deluxe room, and the views were simply stunning — surrounded by lush greenery, a peaceful pond, and dramatic limestone cliffs that truly make this place special. The cleanliness was excellent, and everything was very well maintained. What stood out the most was the front office team — always smiling, warm, and ready to help with anything. Their hospitality really made us feel welcomed throughout the stay. The location is great — tucked away in nature for peace and relaxation, yet still convenient to reach places like Ao Nang Beach with the resort’s very convenient shuttle service. Breakfast was awesome, with good variety and quality. Another highlight was the swimming pool, which is honestly one of the best we’ve experienced — very scenic and perfectly maintained. Overall, this is one of the best nature resorts we’ve stayed at. Perfect for couples and anyone looking to relax in a serene environment. Highly recommended! Will definitely visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It feels brand-new and very modern. We stayed in two rooms on opposite sides of the building. The cliff-side rooms offer an amazing view, while the other side is quieter and more private. Breakfast was great, with plenty of options to suit every taste. The hotel is just a 15-minute walk from the beach, and there are lots of shops and massage places nearby. One small downside is that the main pool doesn’t have stairs to get out—only the rooms with pool access have steps. .

A really lovely hotel that feels like a sanctuary in the hustle of Aonang. Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent and well priced food options at the onsite restaurant. Do note that this hotel does not serve any alcohol as it is Muslim run/owned. They do however serve excellent mocktails and shakes. This hotel is situated on a hill, about a 15 minute walk to the beach, but there is a shuttle that runs about 6 times a day. Walking is relatively easy, however the last little climb up the hill can be hot! The villas are spacious and cool. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The hotel's location is quite good, quiet yet centrally located, and close to several popular 'internet-famous' restaurants. Overall, hotels in Krabi aren't as good as those in Phuket. December should be peak season, with many European, American, Russian, and Indian tourists. There are several Indian restaurants right across from this hotel. The facilities are just mediocre; the shower had a severe drain odor, and reporting it to the front desk didn't help. There were no bathrobes or slippers in the room, luckily we brought our own. The pool is nice, and the 'buy one get one free' deal at the pool bar in the afternoon is a great value. The lady at the coffee bar provided excellent service. The noodles for breakfast were tasty, but the overall variety wasn't much, on par with a budget hotel. It wouldn't be worth it if you paid a high price for this stay.

Stay on 8/5/2026 The location was great, very close to the beach. The room itself was okay and comfortable enough for our stay even it old concept. However, we requested a queen bed but were given two single beds instead, which was quite disappointing. We were also placed in the room at the very end, and the view outside the room was not pleasant at all. There were piles of thing with unfinished construction materials, and rubber pipes scattered around, making the area look messy and poorly maintained. Even though we only stayed for one night and not even a full 24 hours, but we paid because we simply wanted the experience of staying near the beach. Guests should still be treated properly regardless of how long they stay. I also don’t understand why guests would be placed in a room facing an unfinished work area with construction materials right outside the stairs. I understand the hotel may have been fully booked and changing rooms might not have been possible, but at least maintain the area better before assigning guests to that room. The staff service was also disappointing. One of the female staff members seemed unfriendly and gave us the feeling that she judged us based on our appearance because we had just come back from the beach and went straight to check-in after checking out from our previous hotel. The way she treated us felt unwelcoming bcs she pass us to another staff & she happily treat next guest bcs they are same nationalities. Unfair Overall, the location is a plus, but the service and room experience could definitely be improved. The Hidden World's gentle breeze carried the fresh scent of lemongrass, drifting into my dreams. Everything about our stay here was absolutely impeccable. A huge thank you to Khun Sabai for their thoughtful care and attention; the concept of 'feeling right at home' was perfectly embodied here. Our room was meticulously cleaned and tidied at least twice daily. Every time we returned, we were greeted by delightful little surprises from the Hidden World staff. The intricate towel art, like the little elephants, and a hand-drawn picture of my girlfriend and me were incredibly touching and brought us so much joy. The Sritang restaurant was undergoing renovations, so we enjoyed all our meals at Jampoon restaurant. Over three days, we savored a wide variety of authentic Thai cuisine. Breakfast had a good variety each morning and everything felt fresh and well organised. The location was also ideal — close enough to everything without being noisy or overcrowded. Overall, Infinity Ao Nang exceeded expectations and offered amazing value for money. I would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ao Nang looking for a modern, comfortable, and relaxing hotel experience.

B2 in Krabi, it means good price and good quality for sure! Clean room, clean shower, cozy design, nice swimming pool and what is important- is unbelievable great green mountains view ))) I never see anything like this before! Nothing to say about breakfast because it was only wrap, but cappuccino is best in Krabi without any doubt. Great thanks to manager and hotel team, especially professionals who work hard in garden and keep rooms tidy and clean. If you are hungry there is real Italian pizzeria nearby, where we enjoy delicious dinner. We would like to stay there much more longer because it’s quiet and beautiful hotel in the cradle of nature.

Nice, clean hotel with great location .. walking distance to everywhere in ao nang - eateries , pubs , shops & the beach .. if you are staying with kids , would recommend you request the wing facing the pool (where our friends stayed ) as the opposite wing ( where we were ) was facing what looked like a 3 floor club ( have attached the photo of our room view ) which was blaring its music till 3am in the morning 🤪would also give the breakfast buffet a miss

Honestly. Riverside hotel had a fairly good service. I did not like the first room they had given because it was not the one I saw and booked for (it on the first floor, last room on the corridor), they immediately found another room and relocated me. The rooms are very old. The first one had mold and rust and it didn’t help that the window was facing a wall. But the location was beautiful and staff very friendly and helpful. As a female traveling solo, I felt safe and secure.

Hello everyone. I stayed here from the 1st to the 2nd, and got a corner room on the 3rd floor with a sea and pool view! What I didn't like: (The hotel information mentioned a kids' club, but we couldn't find it – it was under renovation, which left my child unhappy and in tears.) We couldn't book the spa for 3 people immediately; there were no therapists available at our desired time, which was the afternoon of February 1st. Furthermore, the pool smelled so strongly of chlorine that it was unpleasant to be near. The water in the room also reeked of chlorine and was salty, as if it came from the pool, and the water pressure was severely lacking. The bottom of the pool itself had green, stagnant moldy spots. The toilet with broken blinds was something else entirely. Why even design a toilet like that, with an open view into the room? That's quite an exotic concept – we absolutely disliked it. The staff were polite; they refilled the shower gel bottle when we called, as it wasn't there upon check-in. We didn't like the breakfast; for a 4-star hotel, they have a lot to learn. I believe this hotel is, at most, a 3-star.

Positive things about stay are LOCATION(heart of Krabi Town), close to few night markets and tasty food. Staff is helpful. Bed comfortable. AC does the job(too loud fo sleeping time though). They provide 2 bottles of water per day, 7-eleven next to hotel. Negative: - WiFi you need to login multiple times per day and quality is poor - No real bedsheet- duvet without cover, under and above something like a flat sheet - Housekeeping from 7 a.m very loud - Lack of Smart TV - only cable channels Overall 3/5
