GGuest UserThe location is excellent, right by the Labi Hovuz pool. The area around it is very lively with many restaurants, and it's convenient to walk to the Trading Domes where there are lots of shopping opportunities. The staff are friendly, and there was even a very cute young boy who helped us with our luggage. You can't expect too much from the facilities given the old town's architecture; the room is a bit small. Personally, I'd suggest adding a shower curtain to the bathroom to prevent water from splashing onto the floor.

AAlison’s Silk Road TravelsI chose to stay at Dunyo Palace as it had positive reviews by Trip members and it had an outdoor swimming pool. It was also great value for money for solo travellers. I arrived early than expected at check in and staff were ready to greet me! Wonderful reception staff! The hotel was bigger than expected and the reception area was very modern and clean with nicely decorated interior. I was shown to my room which was on the second floor. I stayed in a single persons room 205. It was bigger than expected with a big bathroom. There were extras like a bath, comfy chairs to chill. I had a fridge, kettle and a full size mirror. I like a full size mirror. The room also had air conditioning which was very good and very quiet. I had a view of the front of the hotel from my window that was pleasant. My room smelled very pleasant and was a non smoking room. My bed was very comfortable for my back. Breakfast was a buffet with a lot of Uzbekistan food which I had never tried before. It was a very busy breakfast area. There was a big range of different foods including fruits and cheeses. I liked the spinach parcels they were very tasty. A lot of the food was homemade. I thought it was delicious. There are a range of buses that offer great service to solo travellers arriving on the train. I caught a Marshuktra from the train station number 378. The Marshuktra dropped me at the bus stop on the road for No 1 bus that stops right outside the hotel. You can also take bus 7/33 All very easy and cheaper than a taxi. I would definitely stay at this hotel again because it has a very nice swimming pool that I used in the afternoon after a long morning sight seeing. I would highly recommend visiting Sitorai Mohi Hosa which is a short distance from the hotel and you can take bus 7/33 or walk. It’s an amazing visit if you are interested in art, culture and architecture. The hotel is very convenient for solo travellers who are a bit too old for Hostels! And like a cold swim after a long day sightseeing without breaking the piggy bank! The first pictures are of my hotel room and the front on the hotel. The other pictures relate to my visits and walks in the local area. I hope you find this helpful. I wanted to stay longer in the hotel but Trip would not provide additional extensions to my trip.

NNanmingxiongThe hotel is located north of Bukhara's Old City, with most attractions within walking distance. The Saffron Restaurant on the 3rd floor serves excellent food, especially the fried eggplant.
However, the spa service was absolutely unacceptable. The therapist had an awful attitude and poor technique. Anytime we moved or were too tense during the massage, she would reprimand us with incredibly exaggerated, disgusted exclamations, completely ruining our day. On top of that, it didn't even provide the relaxation we sought. What's more, the time spent changing clothes was counted towards the massage duration, which would never happen in China. After writing a two-page complaint letter, the hotel offered a fruit platter as compensation and provided a written response stating that ”other guests in our tour group” were satisfied, implying the problem was ours. Yet, we were independent travelers who checked in alone, so the mention of a tour group was completely fabricated. Naturally, this was unacceptable. After a 30-minute standoff at the front desk, the final solution was a 30% discount, but then the fruit platter was withdrawn.
As an incredibly arrogant hotel, I do not recommend staying here. They didn't even replenish toothpaste during daily cleanings. However, the rooftop restaurant is still recommended, with an average cost of around 200 CNY per person.

This made it incredibly easy to explore the cultural charm of the city without needing transportation.
From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm hospitality of the staff. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the team went out of their way to ensure I felt welcomed. They were always ready to assist with recommendations, directions, and even small personal requests, which added a thoughtful touch to the overall experience.
The room itself was beautifully designed, blending traditional aesthetics with modern comfort. It was clean, cozy, and well-maintained, with attention to detail in both décor and amenities. The bed was especially comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after long days of sightseeing. I also appreciated the quiet atmosphere despite the central location, which can often be a challenge in busy areas.
One of the standout features of Boutique Old City is its charming courtyard. It provides a peaceful space to relax, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, and soak in the historical ambiance. In the mornings, breakfast was served with a variety of local and international options. Everything was fresh and delicious, and it was a great way to start the day.
Another aspect worth mentioning is the hotel’s authenticity. Unlike larger chain hotels, Boutique Old City offers a more intimate and culturally immersive experience. The architecture and interior design reflect the heritage of the region, allowing guests to feel more connected to the destination.
Overall, my stay at Boutique Old City exceeded expectations. It combines excellent location, friendly service, and comfortable accommodation in a way that truly enhances the travel experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and authentic stay in the old city.

GGuest UserDuring hot weather, the hotel pool is a great place to spend time. BUT!!! The pool is a huge plus, and simultaneously a huge negative because access to it is open to absolutely everyone for a fee, and on Sundays it's a nightmare – it's Ladies' Day, and you simply can't get near the pool. What's more, women swim not in proper closed swimsuits, but in whatever they arrived in, and get this, even in street shoes! No one pays attention, but it's unhygienic! On other days, conversely, ONLY men come. And as a woman, I feel uncomfortable when dozens of male eyes stare at me in my swimsuit!
The hotel room costs $100 for one person, which isn't the cheapest price for Bukhara.
The management should prioritize the comfort of hotel guests!
Otherwise, the rooms are large and spacious, with everything you need: towels, bathrobes, slippers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo.
The breakfast is delicious, with a great selection and everything is absolutely tasty.
Special thanks to the chef for the porridges. My stomach was tired of pilaf and shashlik after a month, so kudos for the buckwheat and oatmeal!

GGuest UserI had to wait a long time to check in when I arrived, possibly because I booked that same evening and the hotel hadn't updated the order yet. I had booked a city view room, but was told the hotel's order was for a courtyard view, and that city view rooms were no longer available. The hotel offered to let me switch rooms the next day, but I decided against it as I didn't want to go through the hassle again. Later, the owner waived the laundry service fee for me. The next day, they asked for my passport again, saying they forgot to register it during check-in the day before. It really made me wonder what the front desk staff was doing during check-in that night. The owner, however, was quite polite and had a good attitude.
The courtyard view room lacked privacy; I had to keep the curtains drawn all the time, which made it feel a bit claustrophobic. The room itself was mostly fine, but the bathroom's exhaust fan might be too close to the kitchen's range hood exhaust, as I could smell cooking fumes from breakfast in the bathroom in the mornings.
Breakfast was just so-so. It started at 8 AM, and by a little after 9 AM, some dishes were almost gone. For example, there were only two fried eggs left, perhaps they weren't refilled promptly. While breakfast was filling, the variety and taste weren't as good as breakfasts at similarly priced hotels in China, so don't set your expectations too high. The figs, though, were good and sweet.
Overall, it felt more like a guesthouse. If you're looking for more professional service and more facilities, a chain hotel would be a better fit. But if you're looking for value for money, it's sufficient for a quick stopover.

The hotel is located in the old town, a 15-minute walk from attractions and slightly closer to good restaurants. Be aware that the roads are quite narrow with many turns and a lot of traffic, so drivers may need time to find their way; it is recommended to walk out a bit or hail a taxi from the main street.

XXiaolonThere are some low-rated posts, but it was a very good impression hotel without any trouble when I used it for two nights in 2026/10/4-6 and three family members on a trip. Breakfast is also delicious.
It is a little far from the old town, but it is a location that is completely fine as a walk after meals because it is about 500 meters. There were many hotels in the old town, but this hotel is quite recommended if you want to spend a quiet night slowly because people gather around 〜 night. I think it is good to use it when coming to Bukhara.

GGuest UserKhujra Studios offers excellent accommodation with a comfortable and peaceful atmosphere. Both the rooms and common areas are impeccably clean and tidy, making my stay very pleasant.
The owner is incredibly warm and hospitable, providing attentive service during check-in and always willing to help when needed. It felt just like staying in a local's home.
In terms of location, it's not far from Bukhara's main attractions, making it convenient for walking or short rides. Another thing I really liked is that it's a standalone house. Compared to typical hotel rooms, you're not bothered by noise from neighboring rooms like conversations or doors opening and closing, ensuring great privacy and quietness.
Overall, if you appreciate cleanliness, quietness, a comfortable environment, and want to experience a more local atmosphere, Khujra Studios is an excellent choice.

JjasonklFrom the outside, it doesn't look like much, but once you enter, it's like another world! First the room. Beds are very comfortable, the bathroom is adequate size, and the towels (on the first night) are so so soft. Room is very clean.
Hotel decoration and design makes you feel like you are staying in a traditional home.
Breakfast is ok, not a lot of meat choices, but plenty of cakes.
Location is perfect. Literally just steps from Lyabi-Khaus, but on a side lane, so it is very quiet.
The reception staff are very friendly, helpful, and has lovely smiles
