A small villa, the room is clean and tidy, very warm and quiet, the service is very good and warm, we live on the 3rd floor, there is no elevator, the suitcase is the store to help get the room, parking is also convenient. The environment of Zhou is good, and it is convenient to travel. It takes 20 minutes to walk along the river to see the tourist attractions in the downtown area. Only breakfast is very expensive. Two nights a day is a pleasant experience.

We booked two lovely ”King” rooms - very clean and comfortable, in superb settings. The hotel is very conveniently located to allow a short walk into the town. We stayed for two nights, and there were busy weddings on both days - but there was minimal noise, and the wedding guests added to the lovely atmosphere. The hotel appeared to be almost fully booked for both days, so finding that only ONE lift was working was less than helpful (we were told that the other lift had been out of action ”for some time”, due to the hotel ”awaiting spare parts”?) Annoyingly, the one working lift only went up to the 4th floor, so to reach our room on the 5th floor we had to hump our suitcases up the stairs - minor inconvenience, but unexpected from such a prestigious hotel. Our biggest gripe was (a.) the lack of available parking spaces (one car park had a huge marquee erected on it for a function) and (b.) being told when checking in that there was a parking charge of £18 per night - even though there was no mention on the website or on the booking details. It felt rather ”cheap and petty” for a hotel to have to stoop to fleecing their guests for parking fees to park at their hotel! We estimated that there were around 150 cars - so guests with cars are subsiding the hotel by over £2500 per night. All-in-all, a thoroughly enjoyable stay in a lovely hotel set in lovely surroundings - we would definitely stay there again.

Yes the room was dated, and yes the room was hot. However the room was clean, comfortable and a fan was provided to help circulate the warm air. The windows have restricted openings most likely due to H&S but with the fan it was enough to move the warm air out and allow cooler air in. Check up was chaotic but the lady apologized and explained they had a member of the staff off sick. She worked her way through everyone as quickly as she could giving everyone the same warm welcome. Breakfast was enjoyable and the spa area was a delight offering everything you need. After checking out I realized I left my sunglasses in the room. The cleaning team were so helpful allowing me access to retrieve them and to double check I had everything

Hotel was quite easy to find & access was quite good. Good car parking arrangement with the council for 2 day's. Disappointment the hotel didn't offer an evening meal so we had to go out & find it which wasn't ideal as when booking we noticed a restaurant on site. Only coach parties would be entertainment apparently. Breakfast covered hot & continental which was good to us. Our room however was far from satisfactory to us but we tolerated it & didn't complain. The bathroom door handle was troublesome to open so instead of fixing it they put a sign on the door telling us what to do.. The bathroom blind was also broken. The very small room had a tiny bed which was far from comfortable. We paid a lot for 2 nights which we regret so alas we won't be returning.

Stayed here with my wife and our 2 grandchildren on 13th August for 1 night ,it was our first ever time staying at this hotel and although the location is excellent and from the first look of the hotel it looks amazing, the size,the architectural structure is stunning, the entrance is grand and once inside the lobby is huge with a big staircase in the middle. However after checking in at reception we took the lift to our room on the third floor, and for such a big hotel the lifts are way too small (supposed to fit up to 8 people, maybe 8 children but definitely not 8 adults). We had a family executive seaview room,fairly large sleeping area,1 double and 2 single beds and although the bathroom was modern, tiled from top to bottom, it had a bath with shower/tap combo instead of a walk-in shower area or cubicle, the room itself was very old fashioned and in need of an update, cracked and water marked ceiling and when I presumed the people in the room above ours were taking a shower the ceiling started leaking,dripping into the middle of the room wetting the carpet, we reported this one of the reception staff who just said they would visit the people in the room and see what was causing the leak ”probably using the shower with the curtain outside the bath” they said , we never heard anything back so it seemed like they didn't care. There is a nice large outside balcony seating area which would be nice to sit and have a drink over looking the beach and sea in the hot weather or on a warm night but on a night none of the outside lights worked so was very dark which was a shame. Breakfast options are very limited, sausage, bacon,eggs,beans ,fried tomatoes, toast and cereal . We didn't notice until the morning we left and I'm sort of glad we didn't but we found mice or rat droppings on the carpet,along the edges and in the corner of the room! Overall it's a shame as this hotel was probably amazing 30 - 40 years ago, needs a lot of updating to the rooms and just more general maintenance and TLC to to hotel could make it Grand again albeit very disappointed and will not be staying again unless it gets a complete renovation in the near future.

Overall, this hotel is more suited for those who prioritize design aesthetics and photo opportunities. The actual stay experience, however, is quite average. 1. **Unique Hotel Style** This is what I consider a major plus. The overall design has a distinct style, and both the public areas and many details are very aesthetically pleasing, making it great for photos. If you appreciate design-led hotels, you'd probably like it. 2. **Small Room Size** The actual room space is quite limited, making it feel a bit cramped. This would be even more noticeable if you have a lot of luggage. 3. **Average Cleanliness** The overall cleanliness isn't terrible, but it also doesn't feel particularly spotless or refined. 4. **Ordinary Service** The service generally lacks any significant highlights, and the proactivity is quite average. For instance, upon arrival, if you don't explicitly ask, no doorman will proactively come to help with your luggage. This fell short of my expectations for this hotel. In summary, the hotel's biggest strengths are its unique style and photogenic appeal. However, if you prioritize room size, cleanliness, and service experience, you might find the value for money to be just average.

Beautiful hotel only 10 minutes walk from the city centre  Our room was clean and cosy  In the room was hairdryer, iron and ironing board as well as tea/coffee facilities and an electric fan which was definitely needed with temps reaching 29 degrees 🥵 The outdoor area was stunning with lots of seating and little pods to dine in of an evening very pretty all lit up at night  All the staff were friendly and helpful  We will definitely return in the near future.

We liked the welcome by the concierge. Building is incredible. The first check-in was nice. The second check-in we were ignored walked past and Not greeted nicely when we got to our room. I wasn’t very happy with it a lot smaller more than I imagined from the pictures. Big beds though and firm. We had the executive twin. The carpets were fraid the units all worn and broken only two tinny water bottles. There was a fridge in the room but very noisy had to turn that off. wasn’t very clean in the shower. It had a connecting door in the room which I don’t like personally, I did ask the Hotel if there was another room available or if we could be upgraded, This took nearly an hour with long phone breaks to be shown to another room that was dated and had a really bad smell like mold.  I have stayed at other five star hotels and when you’re not happy they go above and beyond and didn’t feel like this Hotel did everything at all, it was overpriced. More like a 4 star in the rooms. It costs you £30 to go into the spa every time and we have to book this wasn’t keen on that either. The Service in the restaurant was great the food was loving the Ride restaurant and the Service in the spa was great with two members of staff. One looked me up and down and a bit off but There was a friendly man offering drinks and was really friendly and helpful. There were nice parts of the stay but felt the effort to change our room was poor. Won’t stay again because room was basic damaged, with the cost of the room, spa should be less.

Overall, I wouldn't really recommend it. The location is okay, just outside the city walls. However, all the rooms are in the attic, requiring two flights of very narrow stairs, making it impossible to bring up even a slightly larger suitcase. The floors are uneven, and in some areas, it feels like they could easily collapse; even with a carpet, they still creak when you walk on them. What's even more frustrating is that the attic is already stuffy, and a constant instant noodle smell drifts up from the downstairs restaurant. On the night we checked in, we found one of the air conditioners wasn't working, but the front desk said the maintenance staff had already left for the day and could only provide us with a small electric fan.

My main concern about this hotel stay was the towels in the room; almost every single one had hair and dirty marks. The faucet had to be turned on manually because the pull rod directly opposite it was completely unusable. Slippers and toothbrushes can be requested from the front desk. It would have been perfect if the cleaning staff had cleared the cobwebs near the window and ensured the towels were clean. Also, the room was on the 5th floor, requiring an elevator ride to the third floor and then climbing two more flights of stairs. The front desk staff were quite patient, though.
