Stayed here during the Qingming Festival long weekend. Pros: The gym is fantastic, very well-equipped, and not too crowded, which made for a great experience. The pool wasn't busy in the afternoon either. It's not huge but has separate lanes for kids and adults. The breakfast is also top-notch, though it only runs until 10:30 AM even on holidays. The ingredients are fresh, and there's a wide variety of dishes, including plenty of Nanjing specialties. Many of the breakfast stations offer freshly prepared food, and the taste and quality are excellent. They even had Qingtuan (green rice balls), popcorn, and cotton candy. Despite being very busy during the holiday, everything was well-organized. Upon check-out, they even gave us butterfly pastry as a souvenir. Cons: The room's hardware maintenance is a bit lacking. The room door was slightly warped, making it difficult to lock. The safe door wouldn't close once opened. The bathroom door hinge was also a bit warped, so it didn't close properly, causing some water to leak during showers. After showering, the shower head stopped dripping, but the drain kept dripping constantly, making noise. The toiletries were placed quite high up, which isn't ideal for shorter people. Overall, the hotel really needs to work on its room hardware maintenance; everything else was quite good.

I stayed at this hotel for my birthday and had such a great experience. They upgraded me to a suite, which was clean, beautiful and incredibly spacious. When I arrived, they had a thoughtful birthday setup waiting for me, complete with a cake and a sweet “Happy Birthday” display, which I truly appreciated. They also gave me lovely souvenirs from the city, which was such a nice touch. The staff were warm, helpful and always ready to assist. Breakfast was included and offered a good variety of Western options. The view from the room was amazing and made the stay even more special. The location is also very convenient, right next to a plaza with plenty of food options to choose from. I would absolutely stay here again.

This hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! It's right at the entrance of Dongguan Street and next to the bus station, making it super convenient to get anywhere. The Ancient Canal boat tours are just across the street. We felt the hotel's great service even before we arrived, as they proactively communicated about our arrival time. When we did get there, the staff were so warm and attentive. Our room package included afternoon tea and breakfast, both of which were excellent. They even provided complimentary fruit and offered late-night snacks. The room itself was clean and comfortable. Despite being right by a bustling area, the room was very quiet, and they even provided earplugs, so I slept wonderfully. I'll definitely be back to this hotel on my next trip to Yangzhou!

Towards the end of my holiday, I chose the tallest hotel in Nanjing. The hotel provided a room on the 67th floor with a view of Xuanwu Lake and Zijin Mountain. The most striking feature inside was the large circular bathtub. Before this, I had already traveled to Shanghai during my third year of junior high school, dealing with work all the way, and was quite tired. For dinner and breakfast, I opted to dine at the hotel. Dinner was at the Summit restaurant on the 76th-77th floors, mainly featuring Huaiyang and fusion cuisine. It wasn't as salty as typical Nanjing dishes, and the cold dish with scampi was a highlight. The restaurant's main hall faces south towards Xinjiekou. Breakfast was at the coffee bar on the 45th floor, available from 9 AM to 7 PM. You could access the observation deck with your room card, which offered views to the north: Zijin Mountain, Jiming Temple, Xuanwu Lake, and the TV tower. The duck blood vermicelli soup and baked flatbread were very Nanjing in the breakfast spread, and the rest was typical InterContinental – very rich and varied. My only minor gripe was that the fruit station didn't have the cucumber sticks and juice often found at the Shanghai InterContinental; I had to get a bowl of cucumber slices from the salad bar. I visited the independently operated heated pool and gym after dinner, but it was quite crowded due to Chinese New Year, so it wasn't particularly enjoyable. I then explored the mall next door, which was pretty much as described by Nanjing local media. The only new development is that Sunrise Duty Free is setting up shop on the first floor and is currently under renovation. In a nutshell, my review of the hotel is: Majestic and awe-inspiring! Facilities: Everything you could need. Hygiene: Clean and tidy. Environment: A unique experience. Even with a strong gale outside at night, there was no howling sound once the ventilation windows were sealed. However, before 9 PM, you could hear outdoor loudspeakers from the nearby park or square, which was unavoidable – the entire city acts like a giant amplifier. Service: Warm and thoughtful, with appropriate boundaries, which I personally find more important.

This hotel is super conveniently located right near Pingjiang Road and Guanqian Street, just a few minutes' walk to attractions, and the subway is really close too. The hotel is fully smart and incredibly convenient; you can check in with facial recognition, and control the lights and curtains with voice commands. The room was clean and comfortable, and the zero-pressure mattress made for a great night's sleep. The front desk staff were very friendly and attentive to details. Highly recommended!

I stayed in Yangzhou for two nights, and my impression of the hotel and the city is quite similar: a mix of good and bad. First, there was no welcome reception. The male front desk staff, even when there was no one checking in, didn't look up or greet me. It felt like he was waiting for me to approach him eagerly, without even a simple ”hello.” He didn't offer any information about the hotel facilities or guest benefits. I had to ask where the elevators were after checking in, and even then, his directions weren't clear. I even had to call the next morning to ask where breakfast was served, and the executive lounge was never even mentioned. Furthermore, I had pre-booked dinner at Xiang Palace for 7:30 PM. I arrived at 7:25 PM, and a female receptionist sharply scolded me, saying, ”We called you three times, but you didn't answer.” I asked when they called, as I hadn't received any calls. She confidently replied, ”Seven o'clock. Because there was a table available then and you weren't here, it's gone now.” (So, my time is at her discretion?) She then told me to wait aside. Realizing what was happening, I immediately said, ”I'm not eating here.” When I provided feedback to the restaurant manager the next day, they gave me a dismissive ”heh-heh” smile and a cold shoulder throughout. After returning to my room, I called the service center to express my strong dissatisfaction with the issues mentioned above. The person on the phone first apologized politely and enthusiastically, offering to compensate with dinner at Xiang Palace and re-explaining the hotel facilities. During this, they mentioned that complimentary travel photography was a guest benefit. This was my third point of frustration, because my Trip.com package didn't include travel photography, and since I was staying alone, I wouldn't be using the complimentary breakfast for two. So, before checking in, I tried to contact the hotel to ask if I could exchange it for other benefits, like lunch/dinner or travel photography. The hotel firmly refused at the time, stating that travel photography was a third-party service, not provided by the hotel. I had no issue with that, which is why I hadn't planned for travel photography or brought any makeup or clothes. And now you're telling me it's an inherent guest benefit? Later, the hotel offered a room rate reduction, but it required me to cancel my Trip.com order and re-book, which I flat-out refused due to my annoyance. After this, the hotel surprisingly started giving me the cold shoulder, even to the point of not answering calls or replying to WeChat when I needed a paper bag before checking out. (This is why I decided to give less than three stars.) However, when checking out, the hotel offered to drive me to the station as I couldn't get a ride to catch my high-speed train. Well, you can make your own judgment. Personally, I can't give a good review because I wasted half a day of my less-than-three-day trip. So, I'll give it a three-star rating, a mix of good and bad. (Deduction points: significant deduction for the front desk impression, and the female receptionist at Xiang Palace was an additional negative factor.)

Cleanliness: The room was very clean, and it had a dehumidifier that was noisy and didn't seem to do much. Service: The concierge and room service were excellent, prompt, and friendly. Ambiance: The lobby is spacious, and the location is great, right outside Metro Exit 6. Facilities: The room was incredibly small, like a budget hotel. It felt stuffy and had a damp smell. This was my second stay, and they gave me a room where the window looked directly onto other buildings' vents. When checking in, the front desk asked for my Ctrip membership level to determine welcome fruits and late check-out; I received oranges, apples, and two bananas. ”Jinling Cultural Stories” Lecture: The hotel never proactively mentioned this benefit. If guests don't ask, they don't get it. ”Light and Shadow Jinling” Custom Photo Experience: The hotel never proactively mentioned this benefit. If guests don't ask, they don't get it. Minibar: Five free drinks.

The transportation is incredibly convenient. Hotels near the Olympic Sports Center were too expensive for the concert, so this place, with a direct subway line 5 connection, was perfect. It's also super easy to get to the city center for sightseeing the next day, and there are plenty of dining options nearby.

HHuanlededalicongThis hotel really exceeded my expectations. It's not a large hotel, doesn't offer many scenic views, and the facilities aren't brand new. However, it boasts a rich history with many famous figures having stayed here. It feels like Suzhou's equivalent of a state guesthouse. The location is excellent, with the Master of the Nets Garden right across the street. Breakfast was quite good; while the variety wasn't extensive, they had all the essentials, and the Aozao noodles and pan-fried buns were absolutely delicious! Plus, the hotel price wasn't expensive, offering incredible value for money. Finally, a big shout-out to our hotel guide, Mr. Xu, who gave us a free tour and explanation of the hotel – we learned so much!

AAnonymous UserI really appreciate the free upgrade to a larger room with a balcony. The hotel has a garden-style design, making you feel like you're in a classical Suzhou garden, surrounded by birdsong and fragrant flowers. They offer complimentary snacks and ice cream, free cocktails, and three free travel photos. It's a shame I only stayed one night; I was so pressed for time I only managed to try a cocktail. The only minor drawback is that there's no robot delivery service for food to the room; you have to pick it up from a locker outside the lobby.

__CFT010000001094****## Environment: The hotel is located right by the Qinhuai River, so you step out straight into scenic views – it's beautiful, there's great food, and a lively atmosphere. We booked a street-view room, which admittedly was a bit noisier, but we had such packed days that we slept soundly every night, so it wasn't a major issue. ## Room: The room included complimentary fruit upon check-in, two facial masks daily, and small drinks in the mini-bar. The lighting in the room was a bit dim; it would have been much better if there was a brighter main light or a desk lamp. ## Service: I really want to commend the service. Even before we checked in, the hotel called to ask if we needed to reserve a parking spot and our approximate check-in time. They proactively sent the hotel's location to ensure we wouldn't have trouble finding it in the scenic area, which was very thoughtful. After we checked out and left, we realized at the airport that I had lost my bracelet. I contacted the hotel to help check the room, and the staff were incredibly efficient and diligent in finding it. They quickly arranged for it to be couriered to my home. I am truly, truly grateful – it brought a perfect end to my Nanjing trip! 🌹

MMD2024This time, I stayed at Mo Keyuan from August 14th to 15th. When I was choosing a hotel, I was quite surprised to see Mo Keyuan had nothing but glowing reviews. After staying there, I realized that both its facilities and service are indeed exceptional. **Ambiance & Location:** In terms of its location, it's merely 50 meters from Pingjiang Road, and within comfortable walking distance of Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Suzhou Museum. It's also nestled in the same alley as the famous Zhuo Lin Li Tang Zhou (a traditional dessert shop), just 20-30 meters away, and shares an adjacent alley with Couple's Retreat Garden. This geographical positioning is simply superb! The hotel itself is a numbered private garden with five interconnected courtyards, boasting exquisite rockeries, ponds, and bridges. Its design is incredibly intricate, offering distinct scenic views with every turn. Guanhuatang, a key hall, is the central room in the innermost of these five courtyards. The front desk is located in the first courtyard, exuding an antique charm. Upon entering the second courtyard, you're greeted by a misty, ethereal atmosphere, providing a refreshing coolness on hot days and adding a wonderful artistic touch. The third courtyard houses the banquet hall, while the fourth and fifth are dedicated to guest rooms. In reality, this compound is far more complex than it appears, with the unique asymmetrical structure typical of Suzhou gardens revealing many delightful surprises. **Cleanliness:** Everywhere I looked was impeccably clean. Unlike other Chinese courtyards I've stayed in, at Mo Keyuan, all areas (except guest rooms and staff offices) are openly accessible. Furthermore, the furniture inside is exceptionally well-maintained and clean, giving the impression that they are actively used daily. The rooms were subtly pre-scented with incense, and the bathrooms were also spotless. **Facilities:** Mo Keyuan boasts comprehensive facilities, offering both dining options and captivating Pingtan (Suzhou storytelling and ballad singing) performances. Guests can enjoy these performances for free, held in a charming small hall in the second courtyard, which serves as both a restaurant and a performance venue. The performance hall is very well-equipped, featuring background projection and automatic stage curtains, truly showing great attention to detail. Furthermore, before checking in, I was somewhat concerned about security. However, upon arrival, I found that the visitor and guest areas are effectively separated by access control, ensuring both privacy and safety. **Service:** The service was incredibly attentive. The butler was always ready to answer any questions and had an excellent, friendly attitude. Every staff member had a great service attitude and was remarkably patient. Due to a last-minute change in our itinerary, we only decided quite late that we wanted to have lunch at Mo Keyuan the next day. However, the butler arranged it perfectly, and we got to savor the Squirrel-shaped Mandarin Fish and Crab Roe Tofu we had hoped for. The hotel's shuttle service was even more convenient, saving us precious time and effort when visiting the Humble Administrator's Garden, Suzhou Museum, and Lion Grove Garden. We also had the pleasure of meeting the garden owner this time, who was very approachable and clearly poured their heart and soul into managing this exquisite garden. **Daily Pingtan Performance (2 Tickets):** The Pingtan performance was excellent. The young lady sang beautifully and spoke with such gentle grace; experiencing the 'Wu Nong Soft Language' (Suzhou dialect) live was truly delightful. The performance also included complimentary Biluochun tea and homemade mung bean cakes, making it a truly enjoyable experience. I'm extremely glad I chose Mo Keyuan this time. My only regret is not being able to stay an extra night to spend half a day simply wandering around the garden, sipping tea, watching the fish, and relaxing – that would have been utterly tranquil and perfect.

GGuest UserNestled within the bustling Seven-Mile Shantang Street, Shuxiang Fudi Hotel Suzhou Shantang is a charming Suzhou-style garden hotel, meticulously converted from a Ming and Qing Dynasty Gangzhou Guild Hall. Stepping out, you're greeted by the vibrant ancient street, but once inside, it's a secluded haven, perfectly embodying the concept of 'great recluses live in the bustling city.' The hotel comprises several interconnected villas, each featuring spacious and elegant rooms, complete with Bulgari toiletries. The butler service is exceptionally thoughtful and attentive, assisting with everything from directions to booking boat tours. The Suzhou-style noodles and mini wontons for breakfast are a must-try. Guests can also enjoy a Hanfu photo experience, capturing stunning ancient-style photos right in the private garden. For those looking to immerse themselves in the leisurely pace of Suzhou life, this is an excellent choice.

GGuest UserThis hotel is located right inside the Fuzi Temple scenic area, next to the Qinhuai River, which is incredibly convenient. The subway station is just outside. They even provided complimentary fruit in the room. The staff, especially the ladies, were very friendly and attentive throughout our stay. GGuest UserThe place is beautiful. The rooms/cottages of the hotel are spread around a nice area. There is a vegetable garden and kids could feed the goats and rabbit. My kids loved the hotel and the room. Front desk gave us kids slippers and toothbrushes and a bag full of treats and snacks for the kids. Beds were very comfortable and the family room was beautiful with a balcony looking to the canal. Black swans swimming in there. The private outside hot bathtub was cool. They gave us some activity tickets (kids cookies baking, two free coffee cups and free entrance to the park beside), sadly we couldn’t use them, because we came noon and went to visit a different area , then left the next day after breakfast. The outside hotel surroundings are nice and peaceful. The food was great! Breakfast buffet is delicious. I would recommend it. There was a staff speaking English, but was not necessary for us. The service is very good and friendly…I’ll return.
