Berthauli RositaWe are a family of three with one child, and we stayed at this hotel for four nights.
When we first arrived, we had a little difficulty finding the hotel because the entrance looks like a traditional Chinese architectural building, making it easy to overlook. However, the moment we stepped inside, we were amazed by the stunning lobby. The interior is magnificent, featuring elegant Chinese Ming Dynasty-style architecture that creates a luxurious and authentic atmosphere.
The hotel's location is perfect, right in the heart of the Fuzimiao Pedestrian Street. Although the area outside is lively and bustling, the soundproofing inside the hotel is excellent. Our room was peaceful and quiet throughout our stay.
The room was spotlessly clean, and the amenities were complete. We especially loved the shampoo and body lotion—they smelled wonderful and were of excellent quality. Every day, the hotel also provided complimentary fresh fruit, snacks, and cold drinks, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
The hotel offers a self-service laundry room with ironing facilities, as well as a small gym, both of which were very convenient. The only thing we missed was an AI room with the Xiaodu voice assistant and delivery robot, which some modern Chinese hotels provide.
The staff were warm, friendly, and always greeted us with genuine smiles. I found myself taking countless photos in the magnificent main lobby because it is truly breathtaking.
Besides being located on Fuzimiao Pedestrian Street, the hotel is also within walking distance of several famous attractions, including the Confucius Temple and the China Imperial Examination Museum.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nanjing.

QuanzhilongdeJAfter a refreshing nap, I was energized enough to explore the Nan Yuan Hotel. This used to be Chiang Wei-kuo's former residence and is the city's only garden-style guesthouse, essentially a Suzhou-style garden you can stay in. It has everything you'd expect: rockeries, ponds, winding bridges, and waterside pavilions. The best part? No tourists. The garden was perfectly peaceful, with only the sound of birds and the rustle of wind through the bamboo leaves. My mom finally relaxed, saying, 'Now *this* is how you enjoy a garden!' I laughed, thinking about how we paid to see crowds this morning, and now we've got peace and quiet for free. You really can't predict how things will turn out in life.

I originally booked a Classic Room package. The front desk staff suggested upgrading to a Balcony Room, which is 30 square meters larger, for an additional 500 RMB. I took their advice, and after comparing, I think it was worth it because not only did I get more space, but also a large balcony and double breakfast. The room was high-ceilinged and cool, the air conditioning was comfortable, and the mattress was very pleasant. There were many books in the room to browse. The bathroom had a double vanity, but I was a little disappointed that not every sink had both hand soap and lotion. The left sink had hand soap, and the right one had lotion. So, if you wanted to wash your hands, you went to the left sink, and then to the right sink for lotion after washing. The two sinks were quite far apart with a large bathtub in the middle. I hope the hotel can be a bit more generous and provide both items at each sink, which would be much more convenient. From the moment I entered the hotel, the service felt like I was entering my own home. There were complimentary snacks, and the tea served was also good. All the staff greeted me with proactive smiles. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but everything was high quality, though there's room for improvement with the Western pastries. This trip, I specifically went for the noodles at Su Mian Fang. The service and taste were absolutely incredible, though the price was a bit on the high side. I wanted to eat them again. I'm not sure if it's because I rarely eat Su noodles and am therefore less knowledgeable, or if they truly are considered a delicacy among Suzhou noodles. Additionally, the hotel's environment is very Suzhou-like, and it's located by the lake in front of the Gate of the Orient.

Service: I stayed here during the May Day holiday. The front desk contacted me in advance to confirm my estimated arrival time and proactively helped me with my luggage to the parking lot. After a brief chat, my booked courtyard room was upgraded for free to a third-floor river-view king room. The Qinhuai River was right outside the balcony door of the living room. The staff also kindly informed me of the best viewing times and explained all the room's amenities.
Environment: The hotel's location is excellent, peaceful yet central. The room was meticulously clean, and the public areas were bright and tidy.
Value-added services: The minibar offered complimentary drinks, snacks, and two facial masks. The public area on the first floor provided a variety of traditional Chinese clothing for guests to use for free photos, including Hanfu, horse-face skirts, and qipaos. They were varied, clean, and suitable for women of all sizes.
Breakfast: Breakfast was a semi-buffet, featuring the hotel's special noodles and Nanjing's local pastries and cold dishes, all quite rich and delicious.

Huazhu She · Suzhou Moke Garden Cultural Hotel
A hidden gem near Pingjiang Road, this hotel boasts a garden with a history spanning several centuries. Guests and casual visitors are separated by an electric privacy gate, which effectively safeguards privacy. Initially, I was concerned about mosquitoes, but my worries were unfounded. Aromatic mosquito repellents are placed everywhere in the garden; they are effective and not overpowering. The staff also regularly check and replace them.
The hotel offers complimentary cultural performances for guests. With only 12 rooms, guests enjoy undisturbed peace. I stayed in 'Guanhua Hall', which was advertised as 45 square meters but felt more like 50+. The interior design eschews modern minimalism in favor of authentic garden-style rosewood furniture, meticulously restored from an old mansion. Every corner of the room was impeccably clean, a testament to the owner's exceptional upkeep. At my age, I truly appreciate this kind of classic ambiance.
The butler service was also superb – highly responsive and incredibly attentive. A shuttle service is provided for both arrival and departure, and the breakfast, a healthy home-cooked meal, was absolutely delightful.
This hotel is truly a place to slow down and quietly immerse yourself in the experience – a serene oasis in the heart of the bustling city.

This is the best hotel I've stayed at in Suzhou so far.
First off, the location is absolutely fantastic. It's right inside Shantang Street, making it super convenient for exploring the ancient street, taking boat rides, and dining. Getting to attractions like the Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum by taxi is also very quick and hassle-free. While it's lively outside, the moment you step into the hotel, it becomes wonderfully quiet – truly an oasis of calm amidst the bustling city. The hotel itself is designed in the traditional Suzhou garden style, with a beautiful courtyard and its own lotus pond. Taking a morning stroll around it really brings a sense of peace.
Our room was very clean and comfortable, with no unpleasant odors. The staff were also incredibly attentive and helpful, from check-in to check-out. They were genuinely warm and responsive to any questions or issues we had, which made us feel very well taken care of, without it feeling forced.
Breakfast and the restaurant also deserve praise. They offered authentic Suzhou specialties that tasted delicious, and my entire family thoroughly enjoyed the meals.
If I ever come back to Suzhou, I would definitely stay here again. The kids didn't want to leave!

Upon check-in, the front desk upgraded our room. The room was beautifully decorated, clean, and very spacious, with a balcony offering stunning views of Taihu Lake. The hotel has everything you could ask for: hot springs, a swimming pool, and even a cinema. Breakfast was also fantastic. This will definitely be my go-to hotel whenever I visit Wuxi.

Kristi Marconi DahlstromThe resort grounds are beautiful. The room was great with the outside tub. It was very far from town and we could not get a Didi to come there so we had to take a bus to go to splendid west lake. I booked a room that said it came with free flow mini bar, fishing, biking and entry into the wetlands. There was no minibar and when I asked, they brought us two bags of chips and sodas. This is not what I call free flow or a bar. I complained to trip and they eventually sent us a bottle of wine. I never received any info about the fishing or biking, even though I asked. There is no entry fee to the wetlands so I’m not sure why they put this as a perk. Also, the bar out front was closed and the lobby bar only had fruit beer. There was a sign with 20 drinks listed but everything was out. The restaurant was amazing and the most positive experience. Great food and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was awesome. The restaurant had beverages but they do not open until 6 PM. I would not stay here again based on my experience.

Zhuoerbuqun12345The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Jinling Hotel and across the street from Deji Plaza. The room's decor is simple and comfortable, the bedroom is spacious enough, and while the bathroom is a bit small, it's well laid out. The double-glazed windows provide good sound insulation, so despite being in a bustling area, it's very quiet at night for sleeping. The front desk staff were quite friendly. During the day, there was occasional renovation noise from other floors in the building, but none at night. You have to transfer elevators once on the seventh floor, but this is a minor issue, and overall, it offers great value for money.
