Overall, a decent stay. The location is good, the staff were friendly and provided good service, and the air conditioning worked very well. The hotel is a bit run down, although that’s fairly common in Sanya. The room initially felt damp and had a musty smell, but the staff provided a dehumidifier, which resolved the smell after about a day. The biggest issue was the internet, which was so slow that you’re better off planning to use your phone’s hotspot. Overall, not a bad experience, and the staff were helpful in addressing problems, but there is definitely room for improvement.

This stay with my child exceeded my expectations. Ella's service was incredibly warm and friendly, and we were so lucky to get a room upgrade, which was a wonderful surprise! The hotel offers a fantastic array of children's activities, with bubble parties and craft sessions scheduled non-stop, keeping my child entertained and happy all day long. The restaurant has a wide selection of dishes, and the breakfast was fresh, abundant, and delicious. The room was clean and comfortable, and the overall service was thoughtful and attentive, allowing parents to relax while their kids play. It's truly perfect for a family vacation. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Sanya. I wholeheartedly recommend it to families with children.

This is our third time staying at this hotel! This time we brought our kids, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. The hotel features a huge lobby, and it's just a 2-minute walk to the Coconut Dream Corridor. Sanya Bay sunsets truly are the most breathtaking! The front desk thoughtfully arranged a sea-view room for us where we could watch the sunset. Since there aren't many tourists right now, the overall experience was much better than during peak season. My child had a blast swimming in the pool and digging in the sand at the beach—they didn't want to leave! The hotel also offers a great variety of kids' activities, so children can easily spend the whole day here. The room is very spacious; the facilities are a bit dated, but given how many years it's been open, that's expected. Plus, the hair dryers have finally been upgraded to new ones. All in all, this is a family-friendly hotel that offers fantastic value for money and is perfect for traveling with kids.

My InterContinental Resort stay was fantastic this time. First, a big thanks to our butler, Bonnie Tan, for upgrading us to a Deluxe Seaview room. We could see the ocean and the sunrise, although it was a pity that heavy rain the first two days made the nearshore waters murky. As of now, after two days, the yellowish area has reduced by about a third; I estimate it will take a week to fully clear up. Yesterday, the sunrise was partly obscured by clouds, but it was still beautiful. The room layout was excellent, very spacious with a wide open plan. The bathroom had two sinks and a vanity, and the shower faced the sea, perfect for watching the sunrise in the morning. The bathtub was on the balcony; if I had stayed another day, I definitely would have enjoyed it. The Tianfu Chinese restaurant was delicious. They had a great value couple's set menu. The Crispy Pork Sandwich was perfect for those with a taste from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai. The grouper felt like it weighed a pound, and the chicken fat rice was so good I posted about it on both Dianping and Xiaohongshu. Other à la carte dishes were a bit pricey, probably 300-400 RMB per person. The tennis court was affordable at 180 RMB an hour, including rackets. They were all Wilson rackets; I couldn't identify the model but definitely not the Clash series. There were two with thin grips and two with thicker ones. Like the court itself, they were quite old. The pink thin-grip one I used felt like the strings were a bit loose, not as tight as the blue thin-grip one. The staff also set up a table and chairs, providing towels and water, which was a nice touch. The hotel lobby had a very high ceiling, grand decor, and an expansive space that was truly refreshing, much better than the feeling I got at the Yalong Bay Marriott. All the staff were friendly and greeted guests, and service was very responsive, including the front desk, lobby, Tianfu Bay restaurant, family pool, tennis court, and even the maintenance staff on the beach 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Far exceeded expectations! They even provided complimentary fruit and milk on the first day. The ocean-view room offered great value for money with an amazing field of vision—you could see the sea right from the balcony. Sitting outside at night was super breezy and comfortable, and you could hear people singing by the beach. During the National Day holiday, there was even a molten iron fireworks show (Da Tie Hua) which we could watch right from the balcony. The public areas are spacious with great landscaping and tons of coconut trees; it was so relaxing to grab a lounger by the beach in the afternoon and gaze at the sea. While taking a stroll, I passed by the Scarecrow Farm and was surprised to find quite a few cute small animals. There's a night market just a few hundred meters away, making dining out or ordering delivery very convenient. Our butler, Coral, was extremely thoughtful, warm, and attentive. We added each other on WeChat on the first day, and she would proactively check if we needed more bottled water. Her responses were always prompt. Highly satisfied!

This was our first time visiting Sanya, and we finally chose InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay (Crowne Plaza Sanya Haitang Bay / IHG property - *Note: Translating based on the specific hotel name provided in the text '仁恒皇冠', referring to Holiday Inn Resort Sanya Bay*), which came highly recommended by our friends. We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my birthday, and to bring our kids to play in the sand and collect seashells. We stayed for a total of three nights and were very satisfied overall. If you are traveling with kids, want to relax and just 'lay flat' at the hotel without rushing around to various tourist spots, and prefer a relatively new accommodation, this hotel is a fantastic choice. We stayed from October 10th to 13th. The weather during these days was quite sunny, with just a brief passing shower on one day that cleared up almost immediately. The hotel facilities are quite new and extremely well-equipped. The room was very spacious, located near the 'bow' (ship-like architecture), offering a view of a large stretch of the ocean. There are 13 floors in total, and the 8th floor was quite nice. The sand on the beach outside the hotel is very fine. They provide complimentary beach toys, and the foot-washing stations are a very thoughtful touch. After sunrise, you can even find some small seashells. (We visited several other places and couldn't find any seashells, but ended up finding the best ones right on the beach in front of the hotel.) Activities for children are fully packed every day and vary daily. The highlight was definitely the bubble show, usually held at 5:30 PM. We went right on the day of our arrival, and the kids had an absolute blast. Fixed children's facilities include the Kids' Club (suitable for younger toddlers), kids' swimming pools (both regular pools and a water park), and the Fantasy Forest (a climbing area suitable for energetic older kids over 1.2 meters tall). The hotel's public areas feature various swimming pools, all of which are quite nice. Just a tip: avoid swimming at noon; it's much better to go around 3 PM or later. The sun in Sanya is quite intense, so make sure to wear plenty of sunscreen. The hotel food is also quite good. We had a buffet on Saturday, and the daily breakfast varied slightly each day. The taste was decent. The hotel also offers vacation photography services, which are quite good. You can select your photos yourself, and it includes a free drone video clip. In the end, I paid 100 RMB to select 15 raw photos. Lastly, a big shout-out to our butler! Traveling in the off-season, we were upgraded to a higher room category upon arrival. The butler's service was incredibly thoughtful; they arranged room decorations for our anniversary and birthday, and even sent us a small coconut, a mini cake, and a fruit platter. Special thanks to Polly (Mint)—you can definitely reach out to her if you stay here~ We'll definitely come back again if we have the chance!

Staying at this hotel felt like incredible value for money. The check-in process was fantastic, and the front desk staff, Robert, deserves a big thumbs up. He patiently introduced us to the surrounding shopping malls and attractions, as well as the operating hours for the hotel pool, gym, and restaurant. The room was clean and hygienic, and the bedding was especially comfortable for sleeping. The balcony features a huge bathtub, though unfortunately I didn't get a chance to use it due to the weather. Check-out was handled very efficiently by the staff, and they even gave us a small gift upon departure.

The Sheraton Sanya Haitang Bay Resort offers fantastic value for money during the off-season. Watermelon, the hotel butler, was very thoughtful and proactively asked if I needed a late checkout. The hotel is indeed a bit dated, and some of the hardware facilities show signs of wear and tear, but given this price and setting, you really can't complain. I booked a Coconut Grove Ocean View Room and could even watch the sunrise over the sea in the morning, which gave it a true resort vibe. I'd definitely stay here again next time!

Great location with a huge private beach all to yourself—no crowds to deal with, and best of all, it's just steps away from your door. Absolutely amazing. However, the dated facilities are a major issue. The elevator's AC is hit-or-miss, sometimes feeling like a steam room. The room's AC is quite noisy, and the low-frequency hum at night can be dizzying. The shower water pressure is also on the low side. The optional evening themed dinner is poor value for money, and the food leaves a lot to be desired. It cost 298 for 2 adults and 1 child. While the price isn't high, the selection is tiny, and the taste seriously can't compare to a 198 meal at a local streetside restaurant.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A perfect stay! Each villa is detached, offering ultimate privacy. The courtyard pool and outdoor hot tub create a wonderful ambiance, and the beach is never crowded. Watching the sunset over the 'orange sea' in the evening was absolutely stunning. A special thanks to our butler, Xiao Sun! From communicating our needs before check-in to greeting us upon arrival, he was always responsive, attentive, and discreet, never intrusive. Any issues we had were quickly resolved via WeChat, and he thoughtfully reminded us about hotel activities like afternoon tea. He even arranged a room upgrade for us, placing us very close to the beach. Breakfast is served until noon with a wide variety of choices. Overall, the vibe was incredibly relaxed and perfect for a peaceful getaway. I'll definitely choose Banyan Tree Sanya again when I return to Sanya!
