I stayed at Atlantis The Palm over ten years ago and was truly amazed by its grandeur. So, I had high expectations for the one in Haitang Bay. This hotel is a comprehensive resort where you can find everything you need for dining, entertainment, and activities. It's especially great for families with kids. If you love water activities, I recommend staying for three consecutive days.
**Environment:** The beach isn't as good as Yalong Bay, and it definitely can't compare to The Palm. But if you're not planning on going to the beach, it's not a big deal. There were tons of activities during the National Day holiday. The Aquaventure Waterpark and The Lost Chambers Aquarium are both fantastic, and you can enter multiple times daily with facial recognition, which is super convenient.
The room was spacious, stylish, and comfortable, with a partial sea view. We experienced a typhoon during our stay, and it was interesting to watch the sea slowly change from murky yellow back to blue. However, there was too much trash on the beach.
**Facilities:** The air conditioning wasn't very strong, not as powerful as InterContinental, and couldn't reach the set temperature. I only got a good night's sleep after switching to a thinner duvet. Also, since this is a water-themed hotel, we sometimes changed swimsuits three times a day. It would be great if there were more swimsuit spin dryers. The toiletries are Ahava, Israel's number one brand, which felt very familiar since I've visited Ahava in Israel.
**Breakfast:** There are two breakfast restaurants, Saffron and Kaleidoscopic. The variety is abundant, with many Hainan specialties. Today, I even saw a coffee latte art machine, though the staff seemed to be still learning how to use it. The hotel also has many other restaurants, offering options for lunch and dinner to suit all budgets.
**Pools:** There are two outdoor pools. The family pool is open until 10 PM, but the bottom had too much debris, which hurt my feet. The Royal Pool, which is also the infinity pool, closed at 7:30 PM. It's a great spot for photos.
**Service:** The butler service was incredibly convenient. Upon arrival, we received a series of tips, and any issues could be directly communicated to Coral, who responded quickly. For example, she helped with checking the air conditioning and replacing the duvet.

This time, I brought my child to Sanya and specifically chose the MGM Grand Sanya. Our stay completely exceeded expectations, and I just have to rave about it! From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were impressed by the clean and comfortable environment. The public areas were lush with greenery and elegantly laid out, and the room itself was spotless. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and the hygiene details were impeccable, making for a truly peaceful stay.
The biggest surprise was the hotel's amenities – they were absolutely fantastic! Whether it was the family-friendly facilities, leisure and entertainment options, or dining services, everything catered to diverse needs. I have to highlight the 'Fun Dynamic Surfing' two-person experience. I was worried my child might be hesitant, but there was a professional instructor who provided patient guidance, making the whole experience safe and fun. My child had a blast and kept saying they wanted to come back again – it's definitely a must-do activity for families.
The dining also provided a huge pleasant surprise. The breakfast spread was incredibly diverse and dazzling! Both Chinese and Western dishes were available, including fresh seafood, steaming hot noodles, exquisite desserts, freshly made omelets, and coffee. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were authentic, satisfying everyone in the family. We left feeling both full and content.
And the service was beyond words. The staff were enthusiastic and attentive throughout our stay, from check-in to daily inquiries. They responded promptly, answered patiently, and even proactively offered thoughtful suggestions, which made our trip much smoother. The hotel's location is also excellent; we could walk to the beach, enjoy the sea breeze, and play in the waves – it was so relaxing and pleasant.
Whether you're traveling with kids, on a couple's getaway, or a family vacation, the MGM Grand Sanya is an excellent choice. The clean environment, comprehensive amenities, rich dining options, and attentive service all reflect high quality. This experience was truly perfect, and I've already recommended it to my friends. We will definitely choose this hotel again next time we visit Sanya!

Very comfortable and well-located hotel in the city of Houhai.
The beach is within walking distance for all water activities.
The room was spacious, bright and the bed very comfortable.
There are many restaurants and shops in the immediate vicinity.
The only downside is the noise that can come from the street or from neighbors on the landings.

It's the off-season in Sanya, and after browsing online for half a day, I decided on the Yingbin Hotel. I heard it's a great hotel overshadowed by its name, haha, but it's actually a five-star hotel!
🏝 Surroundings:
The hotel is located at No. 14 Longhai Road, Yalong Bay National Tourism Resort, Jiyang District. The location is truly excellent! However, to be fair, the hotel doesn't have its own private beach. You need to walk about 3 minutes to Yalong Bay beach, where the sand is as fine as flour – much better than Sanya Bay. It's also super close to Baihua Valley Commercial Street, so if you want a late-night snack or to do some shopping, you can just stroll over without needing a taxi. But be warned, things there are quite expensive, about 5-20 yuan more than normal prices. I'd recommend checking out the night market in Bo She Village instead; the prices there are very reasonable! It's fantastic!
🌳 Environment:
1. The underwater restaurant is incredibly photogenic! The Ocean Blue Restaurant is definitely the most worthwhile place to visit in the hotel. In the huge glass wall on the first basement floor, over 4,000 tropical fish swim around. During breakfast, you can watch manta rays glide by. The best part is the great value for money; the dinner buffet is only a little over 200 yuan per person, and you don't pay extra for a good seat by the glass. Just make a reservation in advance with the front desk. I only waited 10 minutes to get a spot.
2. The swimming pool is also excellent! The 3000-square-meter Dreamy Pool changes colors at night, which is super magical. Next to it, there's a 9-meter-tall pirate ship water play area. My child spent all day there and didn't want to leave. The indoor kids' club is also big enough, with a bouncy castle, bumper cars, and an electronic aquarium. You can drop your child off there, and they'll play happily for two hours, giving parents a much-needed break.
🏠 Room Facilities: I originally booked a twin room, but Ms. Panpan from the Guest Services Department, my butler, upgraded us to a deluxe twin room for free, which I'm very grateful for. The room is on the 8th floor, and you can see Yalong Bay and the hotel's swimming pool from outside. It's incredibly picturesque with a fantastic view. Thank you so much! The room is also very spacious and has a balcony, where you can enjoy a drink while looking down at the swimming pool – it's so relaxing!
The only downside is that the hotel doesn't have its own private beach, but it's very close to Yalong Bay beach. There's also a night market nearby. However, with the current lower prices, the overall value for money is still quite high. If you're coming for a visit, I highly recommend booking this hotel!

The room was nice. The only thing is that prices are a bit high during peak season. Apart from that, I'd highly recommend it, especially as it's only a 2-minute walk to the beach.

I recently stayed at this amazing hotel and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and attentive service. The ambiance was elegant, and my room was beautifully decorated, spacious, and equipped with all the modern amenities I needed.
The staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, always ready to assist with any requests. I particularly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which offered a variety of delicious options to start my day. The location was also perfect, with easy access to local attractions and transport.
The hotel facilities and pool, were top-notch. Overall, it was a memorable stay, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and quality service. I can't wait to return!

Although the hotel is a classic, it doesn't feel old-fashioned at all. From the moment I stepped in, the service was incredibly attentive throughout. Our butler, KING, was super responsive and accommodating, providing detailed information about the hotel facilities and activities. The room was clean, tidy, and spacious, with comfortable bedding. The common areas are beautiful and fun; the main pool is huge, and the distinctive paddleboarding and rainbow boats in the river pool were fantastic for photos and really enjoyable. It's a shame I didn't have time to visit the rooftop infinity pool. There's a dedicated and very convenient passage to the duty-free shop, and a special golf cart service to the beach, which was uncrowded and picturesque. The complimentary photoshoot service provided by the hotel was also excellent – even with my high standards, I had trouble choosing my favorite shots! Next time, The Westin will definitely be my first choice again.

As the oldest international five-star hotel in Yalong Bay, its location and aesthetic really won me over. Although it's showing its age, it still has a very authentic Thai vibe. The room's bathtub with louvre windows, the pool view with antique bronze tiles, and vintage sculptures – all spoke to my heart. I prefer this much more than glass facades or infinity pools. The lagoon view is absolutely stunning!
During the National Day holiday, we upgraded our room with the kids, and I really liked this one too. It faces the sea directly, offering a glimpse of the ocean and the entire lagoon, creating a fantastic atmosphere.
**Facilities:** The room's lighting was generally dim. The shower tiles had mildew, and the drain had a pretty strong sewage smell that only faded after two days of showering with body wash. Many might not like the room design, as it's from over 20 years ago, but the bed was very comfortable (though the duvet cover felt a bit damp and powdery at first, which I imagine might bother people with allergies).
**Hygiene:** The room was generally okay, and cleaning and replenishment were prompt. The balcony window was greasy at first, but it was fine after I wiped it myself.
**Environment:** The public areas are truly beautiful. The gardens, pools, beach, and lawns are all top-notch. I love this kind of old-fashioned Thai wooden aesthetic more than hotels with tall buildings.
**Service:** Check-in and extending our stay were smooth and quick. It might take longer during peak times, given the large number of rooms. The manager by the pool was friendly and greeted everyone. Other staff members we encountered were just average. We had just come from the Shangri-La, and their service and dining were truly excellent, so there was a basis for comparison. However, this is a bonus point, not a negative one, haha. The Sheraton's dining is expensive, and breakfast is also just okay. Its main strengths are the beautiful scenery and good location. They said extending the stay would come with drinks, but it was just Coke and Sprite, which felt a bit stingy, but every check-in includes a single scoop of Haagen-Dazs.
Overall, I still really liked it. It has a strong Thai character and is a refreshing change from the typical cookie-cutter 'influencer' hotels.

This is our second stay at Yintai Hotel. We had such a great experience last year! This time, we brought our child, and the front desk kindly upgraded us to a sea-view family room. Our little one was absolutely thrilled and declared they want to stay here again next time! On our last day, they even called to offer a complimentary late check-out and sent up a fruit platter. Our room was spotlessly clean every day. Both the front desk staff and the service personnel were incredibly warm and helpful, providing truly attentive service. Despite the typhoon, which meant many other hotel pools weren't open, Yintai's pools were available for swimming. They have three pools, complete with swim rings and paddleboards, keeping us entertained until late every evening. The surrounding area is great too, with easy access to dining options and just a short ride to the beach. We truly love this hotel and plan to stay here again next year. Hopefully, we'll get another room upgrade – our child was especially happy to have their own bed!

It's been two days since we got back from Sanya, and my whole family is still raving about our stay at the Grand Hyatt Sanya Haitang Bay Resort and Spa. Traveling with seniors and children, my biggest fear was inconvenience and discomfort, but the Grand Hyatt, with its incredibly friendly atmosphere and thoughtful service, gave us a perfect vacation that exceeded all our expectations!
The two 'Forest Fun Rooms' we booked were absolutely fantastic! As soon as we walked in, our child cheered and rushed to the little tent. The room decor wasn't an exaggerated cartoon style, but rather created a natural, cozy forest ambiance using elements like solid wood and green leaves, which even the adults found very comfortable. There were also exclusive children's bathrobes, slippers, toothbrushes, and even a step stool, completely freeing up parents' hands from having to pack a bunch of extra items. The balcony had a great view of the lush greenery in the resort, and waking up to the sound of birds chirping put us in a wonderfully relaxed mood. The in-room washing machine and drying rack were absolute lifesavers for a beach vacation! Every day, after swimming, we could wash and dry our clothes directly, so they were ready to wear the next day – so convenient.
The hotel is like a giant tropical botanical garden, with incredibly high green coverage. Even at the hottest time of day, walking along the shaded paths, you don't feel the sun at all. Activity areas like the swimming pools, kids' club, and petting zoo all have shade or cover, so babies can play to their hearts' content without worrying about sunburn.
During our stay, our days were packed with activities. We participated in the Li ethnic bonfire party and the pet park, and our child had an absolute blast. The hotel's private beach has fine sand and a gentle slope, making it perfect for children to dig and play in the waves.
What made this trip truly warm and thoughtful was meeting our exclusive butler, Xixi. One day before check-in, Xixi proactively contacted us to confirm our itinerary and needs, and thoughtfully informed us about the weather and important considerations. Upon arrival at the hotel, Xixi actively helped us with a quick check-in process and detailed the hotel's facilities and activities via WeChat, saving us a lot of time. Throughout our stay, whenever we messaged Xixi on WeChat, she always responded instantly and helped us solve problems as quickly as possible. That reassuring feeling of 'just tell me what you need, and I'll take care of it all' instantly made any anxiety about traveling with a child disappear. The most, most, most commendable thing is that knowing we had seniors and a child with us, she even arranged for us to dine at the nearest VIP restaurant. The breakfast spread was amazing! After eating, the kids could even watch [redacted] and play with building blocks on the second floor! Xixi also specially presented our child with a small souvenir when we checked out. These small gestures made us feel like we weren't just staying at a hotel, but rather visiting a thoughtful friend.

SSunTikbaiyuanI booked a king-size sea view suite, and the front desk attendant upgraded me to a large balcony suite. The room was spacious with great views!
Highlights:
Accommodation:
The room was well-equipped and thoughtfully laid out. Although the interior design felt a bit dated due to an older renovation, it was very well-maintained. The room was perfect for both sleeping and taking great photos. The butler service was very attentive.
Dining:
I won't comment on the paid restaurants, only the hotel's own breakfast. Almost everything was freshly prepared in open kitchens, not pre-made. The dining experience was well-organized, not crowded, and tables were cleared quickly. The taste and quality absolutely justified the price; it wasn't overpriced.
Activities:
Based on what I experienced: The pool was exceptionally clean, and the free towels were clean and warm. The lawn was visibly maintained by staff daily. The beach area was large, not crowded, free of trash, and had fine sand. Aside from the typical strong waves of Haitang Bay, there was nothing to complain about, and no staff members pushing sales. Both the seaside and beach facilities were very clean, great for photos, and comfortable. Getting to the beach was a bit far but there was a shuttle bus; however, it was only a 5-minute walk after dinner.
Suggestions:
1. Not enough charging ports in the room; only one side of the bed had a charger.
2. The toiletries (excluding shower products) were a bit low-end, similar to what you'd find in a budget hotel.
3. The room's smart features need updating. With so many windows, it was hard to tell which button controlled what, and the same applied to the lighting.
4. The TV was too far from the bed, and the bedroom area felt a bit too spacious (only referring to the suite).
5. The toilet was not smart and lacked heating, which could be a bit cold at night, certainly waking you up.
Finally: The wind was really strong. I recommend that those with hairstyles bring something to fix their hair. Minor imperfections aside, this is a very good resort hotel.
JJianyingdexiaoniangaoOur National Day holiday trip was fantastic! The hotel was incredibly comfortable and offered amazing value for money. My butler, Rita, was absolutely wonderful. Thanks to her, our dining, accommodation, and touring experiences all went very smoothly. Our room was excellent, with a sea view, which I believe Rita helped upgrade for us.
The breakfast was also quite good, and we even saw a huge moon here. For the Mid-Autumn Festival, they surprised me with fruit and mooncakes.
The front desk staff mentioned that a butler service is only available for bookings made through Ctrip, and I really feel that having a butler makes a huge difference. It upgraded what would have been a 90% experience to a 99% one!
MM390787****Someone came to take our luggage as soon as we got out of the car, which was nice. However, check-in was really slow; it took ages for each person. But we were able to get into our room at 12 PM, which we were very happy about.
Upon entering the room, there was a strong musty smell. After reporting it, they promptly brought a dehumidifier and an air purifier. Excellent service.
Both the pool and water park were heated, very comfortable, and you could tell they had been disinfected. The large water slide was great fun, and there were lifeguards by the pool who were very attentive; you could often hear them blowing whistles. However, there were too few swimming rings, and they were often all borrowed.
Our butler, Nicole, was very responsible, responsive to everything, and answered quickly and efficiently. Thumbs up! 👍
The evening carnival was also very interesting. The fire dance show and clown performance were a hit with the kids. However, the lamb skewers were served too slowly, and there was a long queue. A male waiter with his hair tied back had a very good attitude!
The hotel does a great job with family activities. The children's toiletries were well-stocked, and the Loohoo Park was also a favorite with the kids. When my child scraped their skin playing on the big slide, Ms. Che at the front desk gently applied iodine for me. There was also a great guy in the outdoor adventure zone who was excellent with kids; my child called him “my good buddy”!
**Food:** Breakfast was very rich and varied. We ate in the main building, and even though it was crowded, the organization was excellent, so we never waited long, and food was replenished quickly. All tastes were catered for. The happy hour at the Executive Lounge was also good, enough to fill you up, and the taste was decent!
**Service:** The most satisfying aspect was the service! Any request could be delivered to the room door, and many needs were met! Moreover, every staff member was very friendly, always smiling, and eager to help. When I lost my hat, they promptly found it and delivered it to my room with just one phone call. When clothes fell onto the balcony downstairs, they actively sought a solution and retrieved them very quickly.
I had read many negative reviews online before, so I was a bit apprehensive, but my personal stay was excellent! It's definitely worth the price! It was a very pleasant experience!

AAnonymous User## Facilities:
This hotel is ten years old, so the in-room amenities are quite dated. The cabinets show obvious signs of wear and tear, and the sofa by the bed was especially concerning – I'm not sure if the hygiene was poor, but when I wiped it with a tissue, it came away black. The room itself isn't very spacious. It did come with a garment steamer and a safe, but no mini-fridge. Laundry service also costs extra; it seems like pricier hotels often charge for laundry and don't have self-service laundromats. The hotel's pool area is small, just two pools, one large and one small. There is a row of hotel chairs on the beach.
## Hygiene:
Even though I was mentally prepared for the musty smell common in beachfront hotels, the mildew odor in this room was overpowering. My nose felt really uncomfortable when trying to sleep at night. The disposable toothbrush was also surprisingly dirty, covered in dust on the outside – I'm not sure why they wouldn't provide a clean one.
## Environment:
The only upside is the direct ocean view; you can even see the sea from the toilet, which is a bit much. Honestly, I really dislike the lack of privacy when showering or using the toilet. Many older hotels, for some reason, love these glass walls, which is awkward whether you're staying with friends or family.
## Service:
The only 'smart' feature here is the room key being a wristband, which is convenient for going into the water as you don't have to worry about forgetting it. Each room also came with two bottles of Master Kong water and a welcome fruit plate.
Eemilyzhu88The soundproofing in the room was excellent, not noisy at all, and the high-floor view was first-class! However, the front desk staff's reception skills need improvement. After checking in, I encountered a small issue, and Covey helped me resolve it to my complete satisfaction. He is truly a manager who genuinely puts the customer first. I was initially upset, but after speaking with him, my frustration instantly vanished. He genuinely understands and considers things from the customer's perspective. 👍 I hope the hotel management recognizes his efforts and nurtures his talent. I'll definitely look for him on my next visit.
MM57801****As a crucial part of our travel experience, we placed great importance on choosing the right hotel and did a lot of research beforehand. The JW Marriott Hotel Sanya Dadonghai Bay had excellent reviews and ultimately stood out from the competition. And it truly proved to be a reliable and reassuring choice.
Stepping into the room was a delightful surprise. The hotel boasts a luxurious and elegant style, with large floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views. Even on a cloudy day, the stunning ocean scenery remained breathtaking.
The hotel minibar was stocked with Coke, Sprite, and beer. Late at night, with some favorite music playing, I could recline comfortably on the sofa by the window, enjoy a few drinks, and gaze out at Dadonghai – it was incredibly relaxing. Before bed, a nice soak in the tub completed the perfect travel experience I had envisioned.
The hotel's attention to detail was evident throughout. All daily necessities were readily available and could be delivered to the room at any time; the guest relations team was meticulous, which was truly impressive. 👍
Overall, even with high expectations before the trip, the actual experience exceeded them and was highly satisfying. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting for the first time.
MM230605****Perfect for a family vacation. We booked a four-day, three-night garden-view room, and since it was my birthday, the front desk upgraded us to a room on the sixth floor. The hotel staff were very friendly and enthusiastic. Going in mid-October, it wasn't as hot and stuffy as some Little Red Book posts suggested; the air conditioning was very cool, almost chilly at night. However, after showering, a lot of water would flow out into the vanity area, probably due to an aging glass shower door that's leaking. The bathroom ventilation was also a bit poor and humid, so the floor was always wet. The hotel's breakfast and dinner were decent. Although the variety of food wasn't huge, the taste was good, and the staff provided prompt and attentive service. The fruits, however, didn't live up to my impression of Sanya's abundant and delicious tropical fruits; the watermelon, cantaloupe, and oranges weren't sweet. The hotel grounds have many clean swimming pools. We enjoyed riding the mini-train around the resort, watching magic shows, feeding cute animals, and strolling along the beach, all while surrounded by coconut trees and lush gardens. It was a very pleasant holiday.

11381650****Staying at the Grand Hyatt Sanya Haitang Bay was a truly commendable experience. The room was spacious and came with a balcony, and the three pools catered to different needs. The breakfast spread was so extensive you could easily spend an hour enjoying it. The only minor drawback was that the waves at Haitang Bay are quite strong, making it unsuitable for swimming, but the infinity pool more than made up for it.
The travel photography service at Grand Hyatt Sanya Haitang Bay was definitely a highlight! I booked the hotel's partner photography team in advance when I checked in, and the photographer was incredibly professional. Not only did they know all the best photo spots around the hotel, but they were also excellent at guiding emotions. The hotel's own gardens, pools, and private beach served as natural backdrops, and the resulting photos looked like they belonged in a fashion magazine – with the blue sky and ocean complementing the modern architecture, every shot felt like a postcard.
