My child absolutely loved this room! Besides being spacious, it was incredibly well-equipped. They even provided free earplugs and makeup remover wipes, not to mention complimentary tricycles and bicycles for exploring the ancient city. It was very quiet at night, making for a peaceful sleep. And the front desk staff? Their service was exceptional – truly made our stay comfortable and pleasant. The breakfast, served on a street in the ancient city, was just a few hundred meters away.

A rather mediocre experience. I've been a Ctrip member for 15 years and rarely leave bad reviews, so I'll give this a passing grade of 3.0. The main reasons for the average experience were: 1. My baby had a fever in the middle of the night and couldn't get up the next day. I wanted to take some breakfast back to the room, but they wouldn't allow it, and the staff's attitude was quite stiff. At over 1700 RMB for two nights for three adults and one child, the price wasn't cheap. Since the hotel couldn't be understanding towards me, I can't be understanding towards them in my rating. 2. There must be floor heating or central air conditioning, because the room was extremely dry, even drier than indoors in Beijing during the heating season.

I'd wanted to stay here since my first night in Taiyuan, and I finally made it! 🌟 Even though the Kempinski Hotel Taiyuan is a bit older, an old Ferrari is still a Ferrari, right? 🌟 The service was excellent. We sent our luggage over before we even arrived, with the driver. When we called the front desk, they immediately helped us arrange everything. Upon arrival, we just gave our name and our bags were brought right over. It was very thoughtful and heartwarming. 🌟 The breakfast was delicious, and they had my favorite cucumber juice. Breakfast ends at 10:30 AM.

What a hidden gem of a guesthouse, the most delightful surprise of our Pingyao trip! The location is absolutely perfect, tucked away on South Street yet close to everything. It's an easy walk to key attractions like the City Tower, the city walls, and the 'piaohao' (draft banks). The ancient courtyard with its grey bricks, black tiles, carved beams, and painted rafters, along with the red lanterns, creates such a fantastic atmosphere – perfect for photos! Our room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were modern with plenty of 24-hour hot water. The owner was incredibly warm and attentive, helping us with our luggage and providing a guesthouse map with recommendations for authentic local food, saving us from tourist traps. The guesthouse also offers a free breakfast with unique flavors. For lunch, they have an optional paid meal featuring delicious Pingyao specialties, which was very convenient. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and I highly recommend it. We'll definitely stay here again on our next visit to Pingyao!

Although the hotel is old, it's clean and tidy, and even the toilet is electric. However, the bathroom ventilation is really poor, so those prone to an upset stomach should be careful. The online rumor that guests don't have to wait for a table at the restaurant is false; you still need to go downstairs at 4 PM to get a number and wait until 5:30 PM for dinner service to start. The breakfast is indeed rich and delicious, and the coffee is freshly made by a dedicated barista. The bathing area, though small, is very clean. As soon as someone finishes showering, a staff member immediately comes to clean it. The only minor drawback is that the water in the hot tub was a bit too cool. The turndown service giving only one 'Crispy Shark' snack for two people was confusing. Overall, it's good. The location is superb, and you can walk to all the major attractions.

As a frequent guest at five-star hotels, if I had to be picky, I'd say the pillowcases and duvets could be ironed a bit flatter, haha. Environment: The location is excellent. After my flight, I took the subway to Taiyuan University of Technology Station and a short taxi ride. Taiyuan's Metro Line 1 is fantastic, comparable to new lines like Shanghai's Line 14! Service: The WeChat group service and concierge service were very responsive and accommodating. The afternoon tea pastries were quite good, too, heehee. ”Ultimate Enjoyment” Freshly Ground Coffee: The staff member was very friendly, and I tried a couple of sips of the coffee. ”Pleasant Enjoyment” Double Afternoon Tea: The small pastries were nice, and they were served with Pu-erh tea.

It looks very appealing, and the taste is decent enough to fill you up. Overall, it's a good stay. Naturally, for this price point within the ancient city, you shouldn't compare it to hotels of the same price outside. It's incomparable, primarily due to its superb geographical advantage.

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the snack street, Bell Tower shopping area, and Liuxiang commercial district, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. The Jin Merchants Museum (former Governor's Mansion) is also within walking distance of the hotel. The thoughtful touches like the 'Cozy Teahouse - Afternoon Tea Time' (including a pot of tea) and the coffee were much appreciated. We also enjoyed the 'Immersive Experience: Journey through a Jin Merchant Mansion with Free Young Mistress Attire'. Plus, there's a very friendly cat named 'Facai' in the hotel lobby!

The hotel boasts an excellent location, with a Wanda Plaza nearby and several local restaurants like Fenglin Pavilion and Sandao Dishes. The complimentary shuttle service to and from the station was a huge plus for us. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The breakfast buffet was also very generous, and the room itself was clean and tidy. A truly fantastic hotel!
