A very pleasant stay at the Pipa Old Inn. A very historical building, though the place is equipped with all necessary modern amenities save for an elevator. Fortunately the staff very helpful assisted us with lugging up our heavy luggage to our room on the 3rd floor. Very beautifully decorated and strategically located in the heart of Datong Ancient City. Very pleasant and helpful staff who helped us plan and arrange our trips around Datong though sadly, they weren't very proficient in English (but that's common in China). Free breakfast was included in our stay and there was a decent spread though the menu didn't change much over our stay there save for one or two vegetable dishes being rotated. Overall definitely worth a return trip and stay in Datong Ancient City.

Our stay was amazing. The hotel is new, spotless, with all kind of amenities and very stylish. Impeccable attention to detail. But as impressed we were with the hotel the best part is the staff! Liu made us feel at home, she is sweet and adorable, made every effort to accommodate every request, helped us with tours and lent us some bicycles to go around the city. She even organised a take away breakfast for us early in the morning as we were leaving super early!! 11 out of 10! (The cleaning lady was so cute too, going all the way to please us)

The bedding was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a sound night's sleep. Even more surprisingly, the soundproofing in the room was exceptional. There was no need to worry about being disturbed by the sounds from the book bar or the street, truly achieving a peaceful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. 💖 Thoughtful Service, as Warm as Coming Home The front desk lady had a sweet smile and proactively introduced the hotel's features and nearby dining options during check-in. Any questions I had were answered promptly, which made me feel very much at ease. This stay completely exceeded my expectations. It's not just a place to rest your feet, but a healing space where one can slow down and enjoy a moment of tranquility. The first time I took the initiative to write a review, the newly opened hotel, the room could not avoid a little taste, but it was not a pungent formaldehyde smell, it could be seen that the facilities and bedding were solid, the sanitary environment was very good, and the room was spacious and bright. The layout was reasonable. The restaurant downstairs tastes very good. It should be a local time-honored hotel. It is very recommended for fruit bread and casserole soup series. It is really a very satisfying stay experience! 5 minutes walk from Huayan Temple, travel is also very convenient, although the room is an indoor window, but the view is very wide, the sound insulation is very good. The front desk and restaurant staff service are great! Recommended stay?

The facilities in the room are carefully maintained, there is a small refrigerator in the room, and there are free drinks! The main front desk zara vicky service is also very good, very warm, the room air conditioning is fast and quiet, the mattress is moderately hard and soft, and sleeps better than home. The most surprising thing is that the bathroom is separated from wet and dry, hot water is out in seconds, and the toiletries are a faint plant fragrance. It's centrally located within the ancient city, making it incredibly convenient for exploring. The facilities are quite new, and the rooms are spotless. Guests also receive a discount when dining at the guesthouse's restaurant. The owner's wife even informed us about special package deals for the ancient city and Shuanglin Temple. It's a spacious property, and when my parents got a bit lost and went to the wrong room, the front desk staff patiently escorted them without any fuss. On a hot day, when I asked the front desk for a bottle of water before heading out, they immediately gave us several bottles to take with us, all with a warm smile – truly thoughtful service. Upon check-out, everyone received a complimentary bottle of delicious local vinegar. With such fantastic service and incredible value, I can't recommend this place enough to family and friends.

When visiting Datong to explore its historical sites, choosing the right hotel can save you a lot of stress! This hotel is just over 2 kilometers from the ancient city wall, and a few minutes by taxi to Huayan Temple and the Nine Dragon Screen, making it very convenient for returning home after exploring the ancient city at night. The room's zero-pressure mattress is so soft and comfortable, it's an instant relief after a day of sightseeing. The smart home system is incredibly convenient, allowing you to control the curtains and lights with just your voice, eliminating the need to fumble for switches in the dark. For breakfast, you must try the local knife-cut noodles and goat offal. The ingredients are fresh and authentic, and the complimentary drinks make for a truly energizing start to the day. I'll definitely stay here again with my family next time!

The room was spotless, the bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, making for a very peaceful stay. The service was impeccable; check-in was super fast, and they responded quickly to any requests. The robot delivery service was also incredibly thoughtful, convenient, and unobtrusive. The room had smart home features, and there were also a laundry room and gym – all super practical amenities. The value for money is amazing.

The selection of B&Bs in Pingyao Ancient City is truly overwhelming. After repeated rounds of searching, I finally settled on Xingshengjiu. The experience exceeded my expectations, and I truly made the right choice. 📍Location: Convenient, tranquil amidst the bustle. Located in a quiet alley in the heart of the ancient city, it's a 10-minute walk from the bustling South Street. 💁♂️Service: Attentive, caring, and proactive 24-hour butler service. 1) Arrival: Immediately contacted via WeChat upon booking. Upon arrival, a sightseeing shuttle was picked up from the Guanbei parking lot outside the city, and the staff warmly greeted me. 2) Tours: Proactive suggestions and maps were provided during outings. Even sightseeing shuttles were arranged for trips outside the city. 3) Every time I encountered the hotel staff, they were enthusiastic and helpful. 4) Check-out: A shuttle was booked to the parking lot, and a small set of aged vinegar was given as a souvenir. 🛏️Rooms: Brand-new facilities, modern comfort 1) A two-story, two-courtyard, two-story courtyard house, designed in the style of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The tatami we booked was spacious and bright. The room was modern in design and amenities, including a tea table with Xiaodu automatic control. 2) The 4-meter king-size bed was high-quality and very comfortable. 3) The bathroom had separate wet and dry areas, a powerful shower 🚿, and thick, soft towels. Being an older hotel, the facilities are understandably a bit dated. However, its location is absolutely fantastic, very close to the attractions, and the service was excellent. We stayed in a top-floor room with a small balcony, offering stunning views of the ancient city's nightscape and the Daiwangfu drone show right from our window. The hotel restaurant comes highly recommended for its food. We did have to queue, but the wait was quicker than we'd anticipated. While the taste wasn't quite as 'astounding' as some online reviews suggested, it was arguably the best non-local meal I've had in Shanxi these past few days – a truly welcome break from dishes like Guo You Rou.
