Guest UserWe've just returned from the Maldives, and words can hardly describe how wonderful our stay was at Angsana Velavaru. It was our first trip to the Maldives, and we were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary — this resort met and even exceeded all our expectations.
Every staff member greeted us with a genuine smile, remembered our names, asked how we were doing, and was always ready to help. A special thank you to the front desk team (Alina), our host Sumeet (apologies if I misspelled the name), and Buddy from the restaurant — they all went out of their way to make our stay perfect. You can feel real care here, not just formal service.
The food was delicious and varied. I wouldn't say the choice was endless, but every day there was something new and interesting to try. We especially enjoyed the themed evenings: Asian night, Mediterranean night, local Maldivian spices — it was a pleasure to taste something different each day.
The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful and quiet. We stayed in villa 114 on the sunset side — white sand, turquoise water, easy access to the sea, the rustle of palm trees, and complete privacy (the beach was often empty).
Snorkelling was fantastic! It was our first time. Every day from 11:00 to 12:00 we were taken by boat to the reefs near the island. The water was crystal clear, and we saw turtles, barracudas, baby sharks, and so many colourful fish. We weren't lucky every day, but either way, it was an exciting experience!
The spa deserves special praise. We had a few treatments at the beginning and at the end of our stay. The atmosphere, the aromas, and the skilled hands of the therapists helped us fully relax after the long journey and recharge before the flight back.
Housekeeping was good — every day in the first half of the day. Everything was clean and tidy, with fresh towels for the shower and the beach provided daily.
And of course, a huge thank you for the complimentary seaplane transfer — it was an unforgettable adventure, and the view of the atolls from above will stay with us for a lifetime.
Angsana Velavaru is a place we want to return to. And I hope we will. We left with a touch of sadness, but with hearts full of warmth and gratitude. Thank you once again to the entire team for this unforgettable holiday!

신바람오부장This was my second trip to the Maldives, and it was an incredibly satisfying experience. I stayed in a water villa for six days.
First of all, the natural environment is outstanding. I saw sharks, turtles, and rays every single day. In particular, there were always about 4 to 5 small reef sharks lingering between the arrival jetty and the beach villas.
The attitude of the staff is on another level. I was amazed by how everyone could be so consistently kind! I have traveled to many places around the world, but I have never encountered staff this attentive and friendly. Whether it is due to their training or their culture, their hospitality made my stay truly joyful. I would especially like to mention Naymur and Uney at the Pool Bar, Asheem at YAMA, and Parbarti, RJ, and the ”Fruit Cutting Guy” at TASTE. While everyone was wonderful, their dedication and thoughtful care were particularly memorable.
The restaurants were also great for the most part. Considering we were in the middle of the Indian Ocean, the quality of both the cuisine and room service was very satisfying. This wonderful experience genuinely makes me consider returning to this resort again.
If there was one minor downside, it’s that the swimming pool felt a bit dated and small. However, given the price point, I am still extremely satisfied overall.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone at the resort for providing such a fantastic experience.

It's a great place, with a white, powder-white beach and safe snorkeling. There are two safety officers at each snorkeling spot.
The standard sand bungalows are close to snorkeling spots 1 and 2, while the pool bungalows are on the side without the breakwater, making them ideal for photo opportunities. The snorkeling is excellent, with 60cm of water inside the breakwater. Beyond the breakwater, where the ocean meets the channel, there are live corals and schools of fish.
The pool bungalows are larger than the standard bungalows, with one bedroom and one living room, and a sofa bed in the living room. Both the bedroom and living room have air conditioning. The deluxe pool bungalows have a large pool, perfect for watching the sunset. Lying in the pool, you can gaze at the glass-like sea; the scenery is unparalleled. However, if you were to enter the water directly, the waves would be a bit high, making it unsafe.
There are many activities on the island. We participated in the complimentary dolphin watching tour and saw a pod of dolphins. We also paid for sea fishing. The crew was very friendly and helped us catch a lot of fish, which we could enjoy for free at the restaurant the next day. The only downside is that the food on the island is average. Aque Buffet serves very limited Chinese dishes. The a la carte meals at Welldone are decent, but reservations are required a day in advance, so reservations might not be available. Overall, the cost of living on the island is reasonable, with freshly squeezed juice and non-alcoholic drinks costing around $13 including tax.

The hotel itself is very nice, the rooms and everything. The only problem is that it is far from Male airport. This resulted in a very late arrival at the island on the first day (6pm). We left very early on the last day (1pm) and had only 10 minutes for lunch on the last day because we had to wait for the seaplane in advance. Also, the seaplane is very expensive.

1. Slightly far from Male airport, the cost of going to the island is more expensive. The inland plane on the return journey speeds up the boat, and the seaplane on the return journey should allow sufficient time. The return seaplane also went to two other resorts to pick up. People, from the departure time to Male airport 1 hour 45 minutes.
2. Breakfast at the hotel is ok. Epicure is more suitable for Chinese tastes than blue. Breakfast buffet with drinks, dinner buffet drinks a la carte.
3. The hotel's children's club is good, the venue is large, the staff is enthusiastic, and the children are happy.
4. The hotel's subsea restaurant can be experienced. There are three packages for adults. We ordered two packages with drinks and one children's package for a total of $ 455.
5. I brought two children and booked a sand house and a water house for 5 nights. The hotel prepared two small beds in both rooms.
The feeling of vacation is generally okay. Tips are recommended, don't give too little. Tips of $ 1 are not available now, it is better not to give them. (Franklin on a hundred dollar bill said: Too much tip is like a big fool, and too little tip is a big fool.)
