Gaozhuang truly transforms from day to night; its real charm only emerges in the evening! The melodious hulusi, the graceful Fannuo dance, the endless neon lights, the exotic Dai electronic music, and the bustling Ganbai Street. Since I'm not a fan of guesthouses, I always choose the Mekong Jinglan Hotel for my stays. I visited Gaozhuang two years ago and also stayed at Jinglan. The facilities, location, views, and service were all top-notch. So, for this trip to Gaozhuang, Jinglan was again my top choice! The room interiors, bed frames, and even the exterior walls are all well-maintained, indicating that the hotel is well-managed and invests in its upkeep, creating a positive cycle. This time, I'm staying in Gaozhuang for 4 days. I initially booked a two-day River View Executive Twin Room. At check-in, the lovely Miss Xiaoju at the front desk warmly welcomed me and helped arrange a high-floor room as requested. When I learned about the in-house suites on higher floors (fewer than 5 available, with better views, and not sold on platforms), Xiaoju proactively offered a key card for me to view them. After some discussion, Xiaoju offered a very favorable price within her authority. Consequently, I decided to book the in-house suite for another two days. A huge thank you to Xiaoju for her help! My vacation wasn't long enough this time to stay for the Dai New Year Water Splashing Festival. I'll definitely come back when I have more time to experience the three-day carnival!

This hotel, and the Jinmao Purelax Hotel (located within the Yulong Snow Mountain Scenic Area), are operated by the same hotel group. To go up the mountain, you need to get a permit at the Hyatt Centric, and there's a free bus directly to the scenic area, which is incredibly convenient. I originally booked the Jinmao Purelax Hotel on the mountain, but after arriving, I felt unwell due to personal reasons. Even though it was past the cancellation period, the hotel duty manager provided an oxygen concentrator and oxygen tanks, and actively communicated with me to help resolve my issue. Their service was incredibly warm and helpful, and they arranged for me to switch to this Hyatt Centric at the foot of the mountain. Although it was a last-minute change, my overall experience at this Hyatt Centric was fantastic. The service, views, facilities, and activities were all comprehensive, and there were many great restaurants. The breakfast selection was diverse, and since the hotel is quite large, they offer golf cart shuttles. I also want to express my special thanks to all the staff at both hotels for their warm service and assistance. This time, I didn't get to experience Yulong Snow Mountain, which feels like I got to the doorstep but couldn't go in. While there's some regret, there's also anticipation, and I hope to feel better and visit Lijiang again to stay at both hotels! Here’s a suggestion: if you want to experience the frontline views of Yulong Snow Mountain, I highly recommend the Jinmao Purelax Hotel. If you're looking for a family-friendly experience and panoramic views, I suggest staying at the Hyatt Centric! Both hotels have their own unique charm!

This hotel is ideal for active travelers due to its excellent location, being just a 20-minute walk from Nanping Street, the Old Town, and Yuantong Temple, with the added convenience of a direct subway link to the railway station. While the rooms are well-equipped, light sleepers should request a room away from the main road to avoid traffic noise, and although the breakfast variety is limited, it offers fair value for the price.

I stayed for 5 days in total, here are my thoughts: The hotel is beautiful, every corner is meticulously designed and heavily invested, exuding the aesthetics of 1956. It's definitely worth experiencing. It's also great for photos. Although some details in the room are a bit old and the facilities are somewhat average, the overall ambiance outweighs these shortcomings, so it's still a worthwhile choice. The service was also very attentive and excellent. The fruit platter in the room was replenished daily with various seasonal fruits, which was a thoughtful touch. In the evening, they would deliver things like white fungus soup (though we didn't drink it), but it left a very good impression. The butler was also very professional and accommodated all our needs. The pool was clean, and the longer we stayed over the 5 days, the more comfortable it became. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kunming. Additionally, I have some personal suggestions for improvement: 1. There are too few non-smoking twin rooms. We were involuntarily assigned to a smoking floor (10th floor), which they claimed had been treated to remove smoke odors. However, for the first two days, there was still a strange smell of smoke mixed with old carpet, an indescribable odor, which made it difficult to sleep well. It was quite bothersome. I hope more non-smoking floors can be added, and that room odors are thoroughly dealt with. The carpets could also be cleaned more frequently. 2. The shower is located inside the bathtub. Even with a shower curtain, water would inevitably flow over the edge of the tub, leaving the entire bathroom floor wet after showering. This was very inconvenient. We had to use towels to block the edge of the tub each time we showered, which helped a little, but water still escaped. I hope there's a way to improve this. 3. The wall near the room entrance has a thick, leather-like texture, but the surface is aged, with many pieces of the outer layer peeling off and flaking. I hope this can be improved. 4. Overall cleanliness still has room for improvement. When we first checked in, there were many water stains on the bathroom mirror! 5. The breakfast was generally delicious, but compared to other 4- and 5-star hotels, it lacked stir-fried rice and stir-fried noodles. I hope more stir-fried dishes can be added. Not everyone likes rice noodles, and if you don't eat them, the other main course options are quite limited. 6. There's no swimsuit spin dryer in the changing rooms by the pool, and the pool doesn't have lane dividers. These are points that I feel could be improved.

I specifically chose this hotel because I had a flight the next day, and it certainly didn't disappoint. The location is excellent, with lots of local eateries nearby, and food delivery is also an option. The room decor was cozy, and both the mattress and pillows were very comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. They paid attention to the details; even the bath towels were thoroughly sterilized and sealed in bags. The cleanliness was top-notch, and having a smart assistant to control the room was a nice touch. Overall, a perfect experience.

Great service and amenities. The coffee, tea, and cake was great. Breakfast service has a very warm lady that will cook the rice noodles on the spot. The staff are all very friendly and willing to share guides or local haunts around the area. The location was the only downside. The hotel is located on a very steep hill, so it is not good for elderly or folks that cannot climb the stairs. But with the steep hill, you can get a better view of the snow mountain.

Choosing Naga S Hotel was truly the most delightful surprise of my Xishuangbanna trip! The location is simply unbeatable – just a few minutes' walk to immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the Starlight Night Market, and right around the corner is the dazzling Golden Pagoda. Serene and solemn by day, it becomes a brilliant spectacle at night, making you feel like you're living inside the most captivating landscape painting of Jinghong. The hotel's design beautifully blends Dai ethnic charm with modern simplicity. You'll find a seamless integration of bamboo weaving, wood carvings, and lush greenery everywhere, offering both a sense of local culture and ultimate comfort. Our room was spacious and bright, with soft, skin-friendly bedding. The bathroom had a thoughtful wet-and-dry separation, showing great attention to detail. What I loved most was that our room window faced the Golden Pagoda directly. At night, pulling back the curtains revealed the pagoda lights illuminating the sky, like a flowing masterpiece. The service also deserves special praise! The front desk staff was incredibly warm and attentive, proactively recommending fun spots and delicious food at the night market, and even thoughtfully advising us on how to avoid peak crowds. Every day, returning to the hotel, we were greeted with refreshing welcome tea, and luggage assistance was always prompt. The hotel also has a rooftop viewing platform, offering panoramic views of Gaozhuang, perfect for a relaxing evening breeze. For tourists, this place is truly a 'hidden gem' as a base. After a tiring day of sightseeing, you can easily stroll through the night market in the evening, enjoy Dai cuisine, and take photos in traditional Dai attire, then walk back to your room to rest. In the morning, you can visit the Golden Pagoda when it's less crowded to experience its tranquility. Transportation is also very convenient; getting a taxi to Manting Park or the Tropical Botanical Garden was hassle-free. If I had to offer one small suggestion, I'd hope for a swimming pool in the future. But even without it, Naga S Hotel is already wonderful enough that I want to recommend it to all my friends visiting Xishuangbanna! Here, you not only enjoy excellent accommodation but also an immersive experience of Gaozhuang's poetic charm, where 'stars fall to earth every night.' I will definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Banna!

The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable. Parking was convenient with spots available at the hotel entrance and an underground garage. The front desk staff was very welcoming, and the breakfast was good. Plus, they offered afternoon tea and complimentary fruit, making it excellent value for money.

This stay truly exceeded my expectations! The room was very clean, well-equipped, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a wonderfully peaceful night's sleep. Front desk staff member 212 was warm and attentive, handling both check-in and check-out quickly and with a great attitude. The location is convenient for getting around, with all amenities nearby. Overall, it offers excellent value for money, and the environment is quiet, not noisy at all. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in town, highly recommended! We had a very peaceful 520 with my boyfriend.

Right from the moment we stepped out of the car, a smiling staff member was there to take our luggage. Check-in at the front desk was quick and the service was professional. Our room was clean, the bedding was comfortable, and breakfast offered a great variety. I especially want to commend Xiao Liu for their warmth; my child was actually a little sad to leave. It's not because the hotel was overly luxurious, but rather that feeling of being quietly well taken care of that makes us want to return.
