"I highly recommend Anantara Xishuangbanna! It's a secluded resort hidden in the rainforest, exuding a strong Dai-Thai architectural vibe. Lush tropical greenery surrounds the property, which is right next to the Luosuo River. The infinity pool offers breathtaking views, and the buggies are always on call, providing thoughtful and attentive service. The photoshoot experience, combined with the stay, exceeded my expectations. The makeup artist did a beautiful and elaborate job, and the photographer was excellent at guiding poses, so I didn't have to worry about not knowing how to pose. The hotel courtyard, pool, and rainforest all offered fantastic photo opportunities, and even the unedited photos had great quality, perfectly capturing the relaxed vacation vibe of Banna. It was a comfortable stay, and the photos turned out beautifully. It's perfect for couples and families, and I'll definitely be back!"

"Our family trip took us from Lijiang to Dali this time. A special thank you to Mr. Eason Luo from the Pullman Hotel. The drain in our previous room was clogged, and we wanted to switch rooms, but the front desk told us there were no rooms available. We were about to check out and find another hotel when Mr. Luo kindly helped us out and found us a room. He even upgraded us to a suite, which made the kids very happy, and they had a wonderful stay. My family and I felt the hotel's service was excellent, and we were very comfortable and content. The hotel is right by Erhai Lake, offering fantastic high-altitude views. Enjoying afternoon tea on the 25th floor was incredibly relaxing, and the scenery was delightful."

"This hotel is conveniently located just outside Lijiang Old Town, and renting an e-scooter makes getting around a breeze. The decor is quite new, and the soundproofing is pretty good. I'd suggest adding an electric kettle; sometimes the water at night is a bit cold, and a kettle would be useful for heating bottled water and milk. Tip from experience: When booking accommodation, choose places outside the Old Town. E-scooters aren't allowed inside Lijiang Old Town, so you'd have to carry all your luggage yourself. Having stayed in a guesthouse inside the Old Town later, I can say that hotels outside are much better. You can just grab an e-scooter anytime you want and go wherever you please."

"This is our top choice for a family vacation with kids in Fuxian Lake. As the newest five-star hotel, its price is also the lowest among the five-star options, and the architectural style is quite distinctive. We had a room for two adults and one child, and while the room originally included two breakfasts, after a quick chat and request, they kindly provided breakfast for our child as well, which was excellent. The breakfast spread was extensive, and our little one especially loved the yogurt and pancakes. The room itself was much nicer than the pictures, with a spacious balcony. The bedding was comfortable, and the room was quiet, ensuring a great night's sleep for us and the kids. The front desk staff and concierges Yuki, Kiki, and Barry were always responsive and incredibly efficient in resolving any issues. My only suggestion is that the service at the Chinese restaurant was too slow. We ordered their signature 'crossing-the-bridge noodles,' and when we placed the order, we were told it would come with two portions of noodles, but only one arrived. The other portion was delayed significantly, even after several inquiries, and the staff seemed quite unfamiliar with the process. I also hope they can diversify their menu a bit more. We came to Fuxian Lake hoping to try local fish, but the restaurant didn't offer any. I hope they can improve on this!"

"We booked three rooms, and all of them were upgraded to executive suites with unbeatable mountain views – highly recommend! Dinner was at the hotel, and the yak hotpot and mushroom chicken hotpot were very generous portions. Xiao Zhu's dipping sauce was excellent, a definite thumbs up. Since it started raining in the middle of the night, the air pressure dropped, and we all started to experience altitude sickness. The room ventilation had a slight flaw; the bedroom didn't have a window. The room did come with an oxygen concentrator for an additional charge, and we took turns using it among the four of us, so we didn't get much rest. Everyone's physical condition is different, so we can't blame the hotel. Overall, I still highly recommend it! 👍"
