I'm truly overjoyed! The service at this hotel is absolutely fantastic, and the accommodation is exceptionally comfortable! What's more, every single staff member is so warm and considerate, making me feel incredibly cared for. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, for giving me such an unforgettable and wonderful stay experience! The food here is not only incredibly affordable but also features far superior ingredients compared to what I've had in the city. What's more, the shisha is a steal at just $5.08, allowing you to savor it by the poolside in utter relaxation.
The hotel is brand new, you can still smell the fresh plaster! 😀 All the furniture, bedding, towels, and sanitary ware are new.
The first room we got was too small for two people. The next day, we asked if we could switch to a different room. The staff were very accommodating and gave us an amazing room, at no extra charge, in another building of the HAWKS chain. There are three hotels in the chain: NEST, WINGS, and WRANS.
After three nights, they offered us a free upgrade to an improved room with a balcony and ocean view.
All three hotels provide slippers, bathrobes, and a wide range of personal hygiene products, even natural loofahs. The bedding and towels are spotless white. Beach towels, masks, snorkels, and fins are all provided for free upon request.
The buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner were just okay. For a hotel of this caliber, it could have been much better. No one starved, of course.
You can also order from the à la carte menu. It's tastier and sometimes even cheaper. Dinner itself costs $15.
The staff are very responsive and always resolve any issues. Special thanks to Ali and Hassan. Hassan is a waiter and a photographer all in one!
I'd recommend the hotel owner replace the sun loungers on the beach with more comfortable ones, and definitely improve the food.
I recommend this hotel and might even return. Oh, I forgot to mention, the hotel offers welcome compliments. Just ask, as they don't really advertise them.
We stayed at Water Villa with Pool for 7 nights in February 2023.
< Snorkeling >
Close to the room to drop-off, snorkeling is the best. Be careful not to catch corals as the front is quite shallow. There were many kinds and quantities of fish, and I could see turtles every day. If you don't chase, you will swim nearby. According to the staff, I have seen the best 5 at once.
It is said that the snorkeling between water sports jetty and Benjarong is the most.
The life jacket provided in the room was easy to use. I entered the sea from my room every morning, but there was a flow depending on the day and it was difficult to reverse, so I went up from the sandy beach near Benjarong while being washed away by Xu 々 I went back to my room.
The water villa on the 501-510 side is the best for snorkeling, but the sound of the waves hitting the shore was quite loud, and it was a little negative that I could hear all the time in the room.
< Yoga >
There were several free yoga lessons every day (reservation required) The teacher was a young Thai woman teacher and was quite authentic. The participants range from the first to the veteran 々 and up to 6 to 8 people. There were various venues such as indoors and outdoors along the sea. Matt also Manduka
For reference, the schedule for February 2023 was as follows.
(Month) 7:30-8:30 Sunrise Yoga 10:30-11:30 Yin Yoga 17:00-18:00 Gentle Yoga

Traveling from China has not yet resumed in a big 々, so there weren't many Chinese. Most Asians are young Korean couples (a little bad manners), and Japanese are not yet there after Corona.
Many Europeans came as families, and many Europeans were in terms of number, but it seems that there are usually many Asians (China and South Korea).
< Food >
I made it all-inclusive. Drinks in the room (soft drinks, beer, tea, coffee, etc.) are included, but some alcohol in the room and restaurant are charged.
If you had lunch on the first day, the lunch on the last day was an extra charge (butler explains). The food was delicious at every restaurant.
< Room >
Water circulation (washroom 2 or place) The amount and temperature of the shower was perfect. You can also store hot water immediately in the bathtub. The water leaked on the floor on the first day, but I was able to fix it immediately.
Bed wanted a twin, but was told not to be a prior request, but when I went to the room, it was made into a Hollywood twin.
The bicycle installed in the room was convenient (no brakes, type that stops the pedal with a reverse saw, there is a bar in the middle like for men, so the tight skirt may be tighter ... You can ride on a dress i'm sorry.
The private pool in the room is seawater.
On the last day, I wanted a boat + domestic flight from the resort on a plane from Male at 23:40, so there was a guide the day before and I was able to use the room until 18:00 when I checked out 19:00 resort departure.
I left the hotel today and am writing this from a fresh perspective.
I'll say the main thing right away: the hotel is in a great location; fresh salty air wafts through the open window in the mornings and evenings.
The hotel is right on the pier where all the boats are—it's beautiful. In the evening, sharks come swimming. You can feed them fish.
Inside: the rooms are large, new, and fully equipped. They clean every day, and there's plenty of drinking water. Beach towels are plentiful. In the midday heat, you can linger in the shade of the trees on the shore near your room. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and tables—everything is there. Snorkeling and SUPs are the best place for it. This hotel is right there.
The staff: kind, helpful, and empathetic.
The house reef is great: dolphins, turtles, manta rays, schools of fish. I saw it all myself.
Bikini Beach is a 5-minute walk along the shore. You can walk along the streets – 10 minutes.
The breakfasts were nutritious.
They helped organize all the boat excursions and fishing trips. They were very supportive and attentive.
Adam is the manager. Always ready to talk and help.
A special shout out to Yusuf 🤍 Without him, my understanding of the island and local life would have been limited. He did everything he could every day to ensure I enjoyed myself. It was an incredible experience.
I'll definitely be back. And to this hotel.
There are hotels on the island closer to Bikini Beach, but you won't hear the surf or see the sunrise there because of their location. And the hotels are located on the streets – it's stuffy.
If you're choosing where to stay, choose this hotel. I recommend it!
A very good hotel with spacious rooms and delicious food. The staff is attentive and always ready to help with anything you need. The ocean is just a leisurely 5-minute walk away. The hotel is very clean, with daily housekeeping. Water, tea, and coffee are always available. We will definitely come back.
I spent 5 nights here. I really enjoyed my time on the island. The room is fairly basic, but had everything I needed. I booked a snorkeling tour with them to Turtle Island and the Coral Garden which was fabulous and they also helped me arrange a transfer to nearby Maalhos since I needed to go on a Friday when the ferry wasn't running.
Unforgettable experience! Beautiful island, fortunately not rebuilt for tourists but with the respect of their Maldivian culture. Incredible nature and all the people that work there are all very kind and welcoming. we were truly happy.Tthe only small flaw is that the activities and extras are really expensive and in a hotel like this it is not proportionate. We could have done many excursions and booked every day massages etc but with such high prices we limited ourselves to two. the risk is to lose opportunities. so this is my only advice. Thanks anyway for this beautiful holiday! See you soon
Highly recommended! All the hotel's facilities are new, the beach is A-grade, the snorkeling is A-grade, and the service is top-notch. All the restaurants on the island are very delicious. It is recommended to include breakfast and dinner because the dishes are so large. When we were on the island, the only Chinese-speaking housekeeper was on vacation. Our housekeeper was Nathu, a very beautiful, cute and capable girl, and all the waiters on the island worked hard to interact with us in Chinese, which was a good experience. There is a professional snorkeling instructor who is very enthusiastic about explaining which types of fish can be seen in which areas. We stayed for 5 nights and snorkeled 3 times. We saw babyshake, rays, swordfish and many colorful small fish. . It is recommended to participate in the sunset fishing activity. I caught a lot of fish in 2 hours and the experience was great.
This is a resort worth experiencing. Compared with islands of the same quality, the price of Avani is obviously much cheaper and the price-performance ratio is very high. highly recommended!
We’ve travelled to many places around the world and stayed in countless hotels and resorts — some even more expensive than this — but Vakkaru is truly the BEST experience we’ve ever had.
Baa Atoll is already one of the world’s most pristine ecological reserves, and the resort’s blue holes and sandbanks are simply addictive. We could visit them several times a day and still never get enough. At any moment, you’ll find different kinds of fish swimming freely around you.
Beyond the beauty and the facilities, what truly makes Vakkaru unforgettable is the people.
Our butler Myat, the sommelier, and our roomboy Mohamond all went above and beyond, offering the warmest, most thoughtful care throughout our stay. Their kindness made all the difference.
It’s really hard for us to leave.
We will definitely be back — and without a doubt, we’ll choose Vakkaru again.

I’ve been fortunate to travel to many islands in the Maldives, but Baa Sand Hotel on Kudarikilu completely stole my heart. It’s not your typical luxury resort—it’s better. It’s real, personal, and full of soul. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed like an old friend. The staff—Ali, Hasan, and everyone at the hotel—have a way of making you feel seen and cared for without being overbearing. Every request was met with a smile and genuine warmth. Traveling solo, I usually stay low-key, but here, I found myself chatting with locals, joining a sunset fishing trip, and even hanging out with the parrots at reception (yes, they’re adorable!). The room was spacious, spotless, and surprisingly well-equipped—great water pressure, big comfy bed, strong Wi-Fi, and daily housekeeping that rivals big-name resorts. I also loved the rooftop space and the peaceful garden vibe around the pool. The island itself is small and quiet, with a couple of local shops for snacks and essentials, and a calm beach just a few minutes’ walk away. I swam with manta rays on a half-day trip organised by the hotel and watched baby turtles hatch right on the sand. It felt like a dream. But honestly? What makes this place special isn’t just the scenery—it’s the people. The Baa Sand team delivers something you don’t often find anymore: hospitality with heart. If you’re looking for a peaceful, authentic Maldivian escape with genuine care and comfort, this is the place. I’ll definitely be back—and next time, I’m bringing my friends

Communication with booking department was bad, it was hard to get information about transfers, they didn't answer half of my messages. The boat to the island was delayed for more than 1 hour but I wasn't informed about it. Timing of the speedboat is not the best as it's public transport mainly used by locals, the boat departs from the island about 7.30 am. The staff at the reception are friendly and trying to help but sometimes there are some misunderstandings. Check in was fast and smooth but no information was given at all. Everything is in another building - Swarn. I didn't feel very safe walking around after sunset as this building is in the middle of nowhere.. The island is beautiful but full of construction. The bathroom is tiny and there is absolutely no place to put wet towels and swimsuits. The hotel building is next to a very noisy construction, there were some works in the building itself. I was given a room with the sea view which is nice but also opposite the elevator which produces loud sounds every time someone presses any button on any floor. When it was windy some food waste was in the water and on the beach (
CCarlitos TravelsThis place is really good, clean, nice design. The Sri Lankan chef makes fantastic food. We had a bit of a misunderstanding with dinner as we had already paid through trip but it was cleared quickly.
We used them to organize a whole day of snorkeling sadly we only saw a turle, due not being the season for mantas nor whale sharks. They took us to an empty island with white sand and crystal blue sea, it was lovely. I think the lunch could have been better but it was a great day. We also went night fishing, we only caught one fish but another couple caught four! Again it was nice being out in the seat night, we then went back to the hotel and the chef grilled the fish we caught!
We were very happy with our stay!
Kiha Beach was undoubtedly one of the most incredible places I've ever had the pleasure of staying at. I cherished every single moment there. The staff was phenomenal, always on hand to assist with anything we needed, and the views from the balcony were breathtaking. However, the highlight was undoubtedly the food: a daily feast of delectable dishes, prepared and served by an exceptional team of chefs and waitstaff. I'm thrilled we decided on Kiha Beach for our stay. I'm eagerly looking forward to returning soon, especially for the Manta Rays season!
