The environment is a bit of a hassle. There's road construction right outside, making it difficult to drive in and out. The parking lot is downstairs, past a car wash, and it's quite dark and has standing water. Also, the EV charging spots are always occupied by gas cars, which is really annoying 🙄. Service: The staff's attitude was mediocre, not very proactive. Room upgrade for continuous stay (subject to availability): We didn't get one. Facilities: We booked three rooms, and all of them were at the very end of the hallway. One of them even had a strong formaldehyde smell. We reported it, but nothing was done. Cleanliness: Acceptable. By the way, the public pool is tiny. Honestly, the only positive thing is its proximity to a few restaurants. I can't find any other advantages. I wouldn't really recommend it at the moment.

Choosing the right hotel is so important when traveling, and this one has an absolutely fantastic location! It's super convenient for getting to and from the high-speed rail East Station, and you can easily buy local specialties at the north and south fruit markets to take back home. The housekeeping team keeps the rooms wonderfully clean and comfortable, and the bathroom/washroom areas are spotless. The service is polite and thoughtful. I'll definitely be back!

Since it was the off-season, we received a complimentary upgrade to a sea-view room, which was a wonderful surprise with its glacier theme. The stay included tickets to the Ocean Park, which was very convenient. There's a free shuttle bus right outside the hotel, and hotel guests also get free parking for their car when leaving the island. Breakfast was fantastic – varied and plentiful, with both Chinese and Western options. The hotel's overall decor is grand but not old-fashioned, and there's a gym and swimming pool. Our butler, Jin Jing, was also excellent; she promptly answered all our questions and thoughtfully helped us plan our itinerary. I highly recommend staying at the European Castle Hotel when you visit Hainan Flower Island; the experience was superb!

A dedicated butler, Vivi, added us on WeChat the day before to introduce the hotel and understand our preferences. Vivi was wonderful and even upgraded us to a sea-view three-bedroom suite for free! It was larger than our original room, and they even set up a small tent and a rocking horse in the living room. Every day, she checked if we needed anything, and her responses were very prompt. The hotel also provides strollers. Because our original flight schedule changed, Vivi asked if we'd like a late check-out on the day we left, which was incredibly helpful for a family with children and seniors. They even prepared a souvenir for the kids. It was a great trip!

I had such an amazing stay at the JW Marriott Hotel Sanya Dadonghai Bay. The location is honestly perfect — everything you need is right there. You can simply walk down to the beach, enjoy water activities, and explore so many restaurants nearby. It’s the kind of place where you never feel isolated because there’s always something happening around you. One of the things I loved most is that the hotel is connected to the Shanhaitian Resort Sanya, Autograph Collection. If you’re staying at JW Marriott, you can also enjoy their pools and facilities, which really adds to the whole experience. The hotel itself has so much to offer, especially for families. There are daily kids’ activities, and my son was never bored — there was always something fun planned. The playground is huge and honestly looks futuristic, like something out of a movie. It’s such a dream space for children. They also have a beautiful swimming pool, which makes it even more enjoyable to spend your days there. I also visited Casa Corona Beach Club, and it was such a vibe. The atmosphere, the food, and the whole setting made it a really memorable experience. The spa was another highlight — so relaxing and exactly what you need when you’re trying to unwind and take care of yourself. On top of that, the service throughout the hotel was incredible. The staff really made everything feel smooth, welcoming, and special. It’s honestly just a great place to be with your family. I would highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a beautiful beachfront stay with lots of activities, especially if you’re traveling with kids. It truly has everything — location, experiences, and comfort.

It stayed cool thanks to both air conditioning and a fan, which was great since it was quite hot outside. The service was excellent. Breakfast was included, and on the second day, they even gave us a complimentary bottle of red wine. The hotel also offers a little train ride, which is a lovely way to explore the property at a relaxed pace. The swimming pools are also very good. There's an irregularly shaped pool perfect for a leisurely dip, and a rectangular pool that's open until 10 PM. Free armbands are available, and there are plenty of lounge chairs to relax on after a swim. In the evenings, you can go crabbing by the sea. The hotel provides free sand-digging toys, which are more than enough for catching crabs. Minibar: Stocked with iced Coke and iced Sprite. Photoshoot: You get 10 digital negatives from one travel photoshoot.
