If you have high expectations for hotel facilities, convenient dining and transportation, or proximity to the beach, then you can disregard my review. For us, a beachfront 5-star brand-name chain hotel holds no appeal because its direct beach access is public, full of motorcycles, horses, horse manure, and vendors. The sea view from such hotels pales in comparison to the breathtaking mountain and sea scenery from the Cranesbill's pool, accompanied by the sounds of birds and the fragrance of flowers. For example, even the clean beach and waters of the Park Hyatt didn't convince us; there are plenty of well-designed hotels out there. A twin room there, at the same all-inclusive price as a 5-star overwater bungalow in the Maldives, simply doesn't measure up. After three years, this is our second family vacation in a Cranesbill Suite. We again chose a suite here, mainly to avoid the typical high-rise hotel environment with rooms packed together, people squeezed into elevators, and long queues for the breakfast buffet. We need a quiet, nature-immersed resting environment and privacy. We don't mind taking a shuttle bus or Didi for meals and getting around, as long as we can stay away from crowded downtown areas. The staff were very communicative and patient. The housekeeping staff were also meticulous and responsible. We will definitely come again; Sanya will always be locked in on Bird's Nest Resort.

Sanya Haitang Bay Wanda Realm was an absolute gem! The location is incredible, right next to the duty-free shop. After a shopping spree, it was just a few steps back to the hotel, making getting around incredibly convenient. The hotel grounds are massive, with coconut groves and ocean views everywhere you look – every photo is Instagram-worthy. Ella provided such thoughtful service, always there for any little thing we needed, taking care of everything down to the last detail. All I had to do was eat, drink, play, and relax [heart emoji]. I didn't have to worry about a thing, the experience was top-notch. I'll definitely be staying here again next time I'm in Sanya! [rose emoji]

This hotel is a great choice if you're landing in Sanya, as it's very close to the airport. It's an older, established hotel here, so while the facilities are a bit dated, the service is still comprehensive. The pool isn't small, but there aren't many trees, so it can get quite sunny. They have daily activities for kids, like crafts and other things. The breakfast offers a good variety, and the operating hours are very long, so you can enjoy some activities before heading down to eat. I originally planned to stay one night but ended up extending my stay.

I've stayed at several InterContinental hotels in recent years, so let's start with what I liked about this one: the rooms are spacious, the balconies are large, and the facilities are well-maintained. All the staff I encountered, including the front desk, restaurant servers, bellhops, executive lounge personnel, and even the cleaning staff, were very warm and polite. The breakfast buffet was also quite good, with prompt plate clearing and food replenishment. I'll definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends. Now, for some areas I think could be improved: As an InterContinental hotel, I find it unacceptable to use melamine bowls in the buffet restaurant. If it were a Holiday Inn, one of your sister brands, I could understand, but you're an InterContinental. Secondly, there's a distinct odor at the entrance to the kids' club. This is something you should learn from a certain hotel in Haitang Bay (like Haitang Bay Shangri-La). Your management team can go and take a breath there to understand. Another issue, which isn't unique to InterContinental but applies to many hotels in Haitang Bay, is having too many interns. While it's normal to have interns, their proportion shouldn't be excessive. As I mentioned before, you're an InterContinental, not a Hilton or a Sheraton. One more thing I hope the hotel considers is encouraging guests to give honest feedback based on their true feelings, rather than implicitly or explicitly guiding them to review the hotel's service in a certain way. It's 2026, and we're in a digital age; mindsets need to change. This is for the hotel management. Don't you know that nowadays, overly high scores are often met with skepticism? People tend to trust ratings between 4.6 and 4.8. Please stop using these inflated scores to evaluate your staff. Finally, I hope the executive lounge's offerings can be further enriched. It should feel like a proper meal, not just an afterthought.

Yalong Bay Mangrove Tree Resort is probably one of the hotels with the best service in Sanya. This trip, it rained in Sanya, which initially made me a bit emotional. Luckily, we had our beautiful and kind butler, Coral, who provided thoughtful and attentive service throughout – a huge thank you to her! The sea in the Mangrove Tree area seems to have smaller waves, making it relatively safer. Even with a light drizzle, it didn't stop us from swimming in the ocean, which is exactly why we came to Sanya. We spent a whole afternoon playing yesterday and didn't get too sunburnt, it was excellent! The hotel breakfast had a great variety, and the fruits were plentiful and fresh, which I was very satisfied with! We've already moved to our second hotel now, and it's day one of missing Coral…

I chose this hotel specifically for its location in Haitang Bay, but it turns out the service in Haitang Bay is the worst among Sanya Bay, Yalong Bay, and Haitang Bay. 😓 1. We arrived at the hotel around 4 PM, and our room wasn't ready yet, so we couldn't check in. The hotel didn't even apologize. 2. They advertised a complimentary children's swim ring, but it was just something you could borrow from the pool area. If they ran out, you were out of luck. If it's not a guaranteed service, they shouldn't advertise it. 3. As soon as I entered the room, there was a strange smell. The room is too old, I wouldn't recommend it. 4. The butler service was decent; if it weren't for that, I wouldn't even give it 3 stars. 5. The beach is quite far from the hotel, at least an 800-meter walk. I won't choose Haitang Bay next time.

I chose the Banyan Tree for its private pool for this trip, and both the environment and service exceeded my expectations. We avoided the holiday crowds, and the hotel was tranquil. Apart from breakfast and afternoon tea, we barely saw other guests, so the privacy was excellent. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and attentive to every request. They even offered us herbal jelly and a late check-out. The breakfast quality was also good, and being able to dine until noon was perfect for us late rispers. The complimentary photography session offered by the hotel was also great; the photographer was very professional and had a great attitude, and the photos turned out beautifully. I'll definitely come back if I have the chance.

This time in Haikou, I decisively chose the Hilton, and the stay experience truly exceeded my expectations – I have to give it a big thumbs up! What surprised me the most were the environmental details of the hotel. As soon as I stepped into the lobby, the scent of Chanel Chance perfume wafted through the air, feeling both luxurious and captivating. This unique olfactory memory instantly washed away the fatigue of travel, creating an incredible ambiance that immediately lifted my spirits. The service was absolutely impeccable, perfectly embodying the meaning of 'home away from home.' From the moment the concierge enthusiastically helped with my luggage to the front desk attendant gently and patiently handling the check-in, every smile made me feel incredibly welcome. The room offered a superb view, with huge floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing the beautiful scenery of Haikou Bay. At night, the city lights sparkled, a breathtaking sight that truly enchanted me. Whether it's the unique scented environment or the attentive and professional service, the Haikou Hilton excelled in every aspect. It is definitely a hidden gem not to be missed when visiting Haikou. I highly recommend it to everyone!

Since 2020, every year around late July and early August, my annual rendezvous with the mountains and sea unfailingly comes to pass. The Mangrove Tree Resort in Haitang Bay has long been my unwavering vacation retreat, perfectly aligning with all my aspirations for a coastal getaway. Year after year, I return with a longing heart. I’ve always been captivated by the 180° Deluxe Seaview Room, with its expansive balcony directly facing the vast South China Sea. Leaning on the railing, I take in the boundless blue sea and sky, watching the clouds drift and the tides ebb and flow. In past stays, I did leave some minor suggestions for improvement. Returning this time, I was delighted to see the hotel has diligently iterated and enhanced its services, with numerous details improved, showcasing a sincere commitment to guest satisfaction. The only minor imperfections this stay were the weak air conditioning in the room and a malfunctioning electric screen. I hope the housekeeping and engineering departments can strengthen their coordinated inspections and daily equipment maintenance to further refine the living experience. This year’s entire trip was exceptionally memorable, and I extend my heartfelt thanks to our butler, 'Juzi Juzi Juzi'. Her service was meticulous and attentive, with highly efficient and timely responses. Every request was addressed. Without me even having to ask, she proactively inquired about my itinerary and daily needs, promptly arranging room cleaning, replenishing beverages, and even thoughtfully providing fruit plates and desserts. When my relatives and friends later checked into the same type of seaview room, they were also handled by the butler throughout their stay. She arranged high-floor rooms with large balconies offering sea views and even provided upgrades. Each room was thoughtfully prepared with fruit plates and desserts – comprehensive and impeccable service. This has been the most outstanding butler service I've experienced in my many years of staying at the Mangrove Tree Resort. I sincerely hope the hotel can cultivate more such excellent service staff. I also want to thank the Trip.com butler who helped me communicate and implement my special check-in requests in advance. Upon arrival, I didn't have to wait in line, and the coveted sea-view room had already been perfectly reserved for me. I used the VIP channel for check-in, and the entire process was calm and smooth. My initial room was upgraded to the 15th floor, and later, due to the air conditioning issue, the butler thoughtfully coordinated a move to the executive floor on the 23rd floor. The service provided by 'Juzi Juzi Juzi' this year was truly flawless. As night falls, fireworks bloom in the sky, with buildings and the heavens reflecting each other, creating a spectacular and dazzling scene. Haitang Bay boasts a cluster of high-end hotels, but in my heart, the Mangrove Tree Resort will always hold an irreplaceable position. Strolling through the hotel gardens, gazing at the vast ocean, enjoying delicious food with the sea breeze; at night, sitting alone by the sea, listening to the rhythmic waves, I fully indulge in the relaxation and tranquility of a vacation. I have witnessed the hotel’s growth and transformation over the years and wish to continue accompanying the Mangrove Tree Resort on its journey forward. I look forward to the hotel's continued refinement and the unlocking of more novel and exciting experiences. I anticipate returning next summer for another rendezvous with the mountains and sea. This time, I brought my 5-year-old to Sanya for a vacation, and I was completely won over by Yara's proactive assistance even before our arrival! The day before we checked in, she took the initiative to ask about our arrival time. Knowing we had a child with us, she thoughtfully prepared kids' toiletries, small slippers, and even our child's favorite tent, all set up in the room. She also specially arranged a high-floor sea-view room for us; as soon as we opened the window, we were greeted by the entire ocean. Our child screamed and ran to the balcony as soon as we entered the room. During our stay, the child accidentally fell. We were frantically looking for iodine, and Yara heard about it and brought a first-aid kit within two minutes. She really thought of everything, even more than we did ourselves. When we checked out, she even gave our child a small plush toy as a souvenir. She was always quick to respond to any questions we had throughout our stay, leaving us with nothing to worry about. Our Sanya trip was so comfortable, truly thanks to Yara's thoughtful arrangements. Next time we come to Sanya, we will definitely stay here again and make sure to connect with Yara!
