Hotels With Spa in Queensland, Australia

I have been coming to The Chateau for yrs. New management now but I feel the place was run better previously. Especially with maintaining the facilities like the jakoozi and spa. Room was fine, broken lamp shade and everything so out dated they just don't wish to change anything but make money off it? However, perfect lil hotel right on the beach, immaculate location with all at your feet to see at Surfers. Great pool, gaming room, sauna and spa, jakoozi the Best in GC! From the heating to correct bubble levels it's been my go to. But the plumbing or sewerage was off. Water smelt and my friend visiting was grosed out sadly taking a shower right away. Fix this!

My personal experience staying here was great. Pros: 1. The corner floor-to-ceiling windows offered fantastic views and natural light. 2. The hotel's Wi-Fi was fast and had excellent coverage. 3. The buffet breakfast offered a good variety and quality, even having xiao long bao (soup dumplings). 4. Although the room was small, it was well-designed, and all essential functions were met. 5. The bathroom also had great natural light, along with a full frosted floor-to-ceiling glass panel. If you're visiting in the summer, you could easily hand wash your delicates and hang them in the bathroom, using the sliding door to help air dry them. They'd be dry in half a day. Cons: 1. Trip.com indicated that there was Chinese service available, but I specifically confirmed with the front desk, and the hotel does not offer it. 2. The bedside table in this room type was quite small, making space a bit tight for personal items (as shown in P5). 3. This room type didn't come with a proper chair and desk (but this wasn't a big issue for me). 4. The hotel is located on a small peninsula, so you have to walk a little extra each time you go out.

The location is wonderful .. short walk to surfers paradise and skypoint is just right next door. Easy to get from airport as the tram stop is just right next to skypoint. Many cafe and restaurant choices. Did not use the pool or gym. Noise can be heard from room as the walls are thin. Easy check in .. staff did not advise much on the resort facilities and we figure out the wifi password base on the sticker on the kitchen wall. Our rooms balcony look out into the pool which is nice.

Room was clean but aged. Bathroom had a shower over bath. From the main bedroom you could hear the shower and toilet flush from next room & the elevator going up and down. It is quite noisy. We were only needing a 1 night stay. This was good for that. Any longer and I would definitely have preferred something more modern.

Friendly, helpful check-in. The man at the counter offered extra towels when he heard we were taking a trip to the Great Barrier Reef. Paid a little extra for an upgrade as we wanted to check in early. Room was fine temperature and bed comfort-wise. It was a little bit dark when in the room at night. Also, there are no type c or plug ins next to the bed, just old style USB. We didn’t have breakfast but enjoyed a drink in one of the cocktail bars by the pool. Would recommend and stay again for its cost and location.

Hotel staff are friendly, breakfast spread is great, location is fabulous. Hotel room is old, shower curtain is broken, carpet in the room is dirty, bed sheets have stains, room’s furnishing are old. If you care more about location, this is a great hotel.

Dated but well kept. Pool and BBQ although I didn't use them were a good facility. Location middle of Cairns meant I could walk everywhere easily and on the level.....even the airport was in my walking range at 5.4 km. Staff were excellent and the management Excellent and able to resolve all issues I had with onward travels and other countries online travel document requirements, which is so helpful to an older less technical traveller like me.👍 Mervyn

The room layout was cozy, and the room service was quite good. The pool was beautiful, and the food was also nice. The hotel is within walking distance of the city center. On a side note: avoid the trendy pasta restaurant Vila Romana (pictured in Figure 4). We're from Melbourne, and they thought we were tourists from China. An old man who spoke some Chinese kept trying to rip us off and was vague about wanting a tip. Figure 3, IMM Thai Cafe, was delicious; we ate there three times, haha.

Comfortable hotel but not what I expected from 4-star. Rooms not made up until after lunch. Just a small milk container in the fridge - no complimentary water that I'd expect at least. Two double beds in the room. No comfortable chair. Bedside cabinet only on one side of the bed, so had to use a chair. Other rooms seemed better configured. Most bedroom and cupboard doors sounded like they need oil. Some power points in the room were dead. Faint smell of smoking in the room, though I appreciate that's hard for the hotel to overcome once someone has ignored the rules.

The Staff were wonderful and so helpful, the food in the restaurant was amazing. This hotel is very opulent and beautiful. The pool area is great. We truly have enjoyed our stay.
