Stayed here after more than 15 years. Booked the grand king bed and it was enormous. Arrived at 1pm and check in was completed in 5 minutes. Fantastic amenities with cable tv. Strong very hot shower. View of the swimming pool. Bed was comfortable but the pillows were too hard. Had a stiff neck the next day. Great food all around the hotel. Overall a wonderful stay.
The room is on the high floor, nice view. The elevator is working fast, so all is good. The room also offers access to the business lounge for breakfast, skipping the war zone of buffet breakfast at level 6, definitely one of the big plus. Requested for an extra bed during booking, but overlooked by the check-in counter, so just remind them. The bed came two hours after the check-in. An unknown sticky item, suspected to be chewing gum was found on one of the chairs and the floor carpet, hygiene can be done better. The bathroom is huge, and comes with two basins. There is also a separate toilet room near the entrance.

The hotel is located in a convenient spot, especially if you are driving. They were having Ramadan buffet promo during my trip but it is a short drive to lots of nice restaurants. We tried Teck Sing for their curry fishhead and paper wrapped herbal chicken (prepare to queue) and Ah Soon BKT.
Car park is free for hotel guest. Room design looks dated and lighting is adequate but could be brighter. Toilet looks like it belongs to a different decade. The shower curtain rod was bent and looks flimsy.
Overall it is alright for a night stay but they should definitely update their rooms. Plenty of new boutique hotels around for the same price.

The Grand Paragon Hotel is an exceptional choice for travelers, perfectly situated near a wealth of local amenities. Its prime location offers the convenience of being within walking distance of KSL City Mall and a diverse array of popular eateries.
For those looking to explore further, hailing a Grab is incredibly easy and efficient from this location. The hotel itself is a destination of its own, boasting an on-site spa, curated retail shops, and a fantastic culinary experience featuring both a high-quality breakfast and a delicious buffet dinner.
Notably, the hotel is Muslim-friendly and prides itself on its warm, welcoming atmosphere, thanks to a team of staff who are consistently helpful and professional.

Service was very good, friendly and helpful front desk/reservation office. I had a request as it was my son's actual birthday on the date we checked in and the hotel kindly arranged for a complimentary slice of cake. The hotel itself is a bit dated but rooms were clean and spacious. We had 2 smoking rooms on the 13th floor which had a nice view. The AC worked well, the bed was comfortable and the fridge did cool our drinks. Usual toiletries were provided, no hand towels though. Water pressure was alright but you may need to request for a bathtub stopper (if needed) as this was missing from both our rooms. TV channels were a bit spotty, in one room all movie channels were grainy and in the other room it was actually worse, could only see a few local channels. Wi-fi signal was strong. Power points were far from bedside which is to me a major drawback as I could not charge my devices conveniently next to the bed. In one room, one of the power points did not work and we had to use the kettle power point as the other was underneath the vanity table. We didn't bother to call maintenance as we were only there for one night.
Location was good, it's not in the city itself but not very far, maybe 10-15 mins by Grab. There's quite a few food outlets nearby if you're willing to walk out of the property. It's also attached to a mall but I think the duty free outlet was being renovated. We didn't really walk around the mall so can't comment. Seems a bit limited though. There's a 7-11 downstairs at the hotel itself for any snack emergencies. Lots of clubs and nightlife immediately outside the hotel but it didn't really interfere with hotel guests so that's fine. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming but wasn't terrible. There was no live egg station which is always a disappointment as the pre-prepared eggs became rather dry and unappealing. I saw bread and butter pudding tag which I thought was a nice, however it was not replenished while I was there so couldn't try. Overall, I guess it's alright for the price point.
First time staying at this hotel, and even though it was just for one night, I really enjoyed it. The room was a bit small but clean, the pillows were comfy, and the air-cond was adjustable. We had a small issue with the TV, but the front desk sorted it out super fast — kudos! All the staff, from the security guard to the front desk and even those we met in the lift, were friendly and made us feel very welcome. And the best part is that the breakfast was really delicious with lots of choices.

This is one of the rare occasions where I provide a review, but i feel that I should do it to recognise the hotel and its amazing staff. Just stayed for a night with my family ovwr the weekend. Hotel room is solid and clean, amenities are the good standard that you would expect of IHG, but what's most amazing is the people. Absokutely great hospitality, and the staff took a lot of care to make sure that we are comfortable. Even more amazingly was their responsiveness - i realised that I've inadvertently left my running attire in the room after checking out. They reached out very quickly and even via whatsapp to update me that all is good and would await for me to return to collect it!
Also special shout out to the kind staff at the swimming pool - he went all the way to get a pair of slippers for my son when we went to the pool without one.
Will absolutely return and visit again!

Just a heads-up, the front desk staff still doesn't speak Chinese. The private bathroom was decent, but they do require a 50 RMB cash deposit. The room itself looked pretty good. Four stars is fair.

This tine, we booked 3D2N staycation at Holiday Villa. This was my amazing staycation at Holiday Villa. Connecting room in high floor and facing the same direction as the main road to the hotel lobby. We got to watch fireworks released by Malaysian residents celebrating Hari Raya on the eve. Nice fireworks from good view. Breakfast was good too. Rooms were kept clean . The only 2 improvements are firstly, the queen size bed with bath tub, taking a shower is challenging as the water leak from the side of the bath tub to the floor causing the toilet floor to be wet. I have to clean the floor after my shower. The second improvement is Friday soya bean drink was served hot , unfortunately today (Saturday) the soya bean drink is served cold.
Counter staff can be more presentable and professional to serve customers in line than doing own things.
Was able to check in early as room was available when I arrived. Staff is very pleasant and professional in handling enquiries.
There are 2 reception counters, one is at ground level whereas the other one is at level 7. They also provide express check out and online check out.
I was given a room at level 14. The twin room was very spacious and beds was very comfortable. The only downside was both the room and toilet door are faulty. They cannot be locked. The door ledge screw was also loose.
It took about 20mins drive from CIQ to the hotel. The hotel is connected to Paradigm mall and many shops/eateries are available.
Overall experience was good and I wouldnt mind returning to the hotel.
