I’m glad I chose this hotel. It’s a 5-minute walk from the station.
The staff are very helpful.
The room was on the 12th floor with a stunning view.
The room is spacious, though you can only unpack one large suitcase if you’re on a long trip around Japan with a group.
The room also has a spacious bathroom with a deep bath.
The room may be lacking in cotton buds, disposable razors and washcloths, so you’ll need to head to the onsen changing room.
The onsen on the 14th floor offers excellent views.
Breakfasts are comfortable by Japanese standards and not too hard to eat.
Our stay at Yufuin ”Tano-kura” was absolutely flawless. First off, the service was truly top-notch. Our dedicated staff member (SIC) was incredibly professional and attentive, taking exceptional care of us throughout our visit. What really put us at ease was their meticulous attention to confirming food allergies, which allowed us to fully enjoy the exquisite and delicious cuisine without any worries. Every interaction, from the introduction to the hotel facilities to the meal service in our room, was handled with utmost politeness and respect.
The environment was impeccably clean and tidy, making for a wonderfully comfortable stay. This trip truly allowed us to relax completely; we left feeling fully recharged and revitalized. Our sincere thanks for such a perfect experience!
The environment here is great. Although it's a bit far, they offer shuttle service, so it's not a big issue. However, I was quite concerned about the cleanliness of the hot spring. It seemed that whenever I moved, a lot of black, white, and gray fibrous material would float up from the bottom of the pool. I even saw distinct small white feathers, possibly from birds? I understand that being in the mountains might lead to some influence from plants and animals, but there was clearly a lot settled at the bottom, suggesting it hasn't been thoroughly cleaned for a while. Many of the restaurant staff were from India or Pakistan, and most of the other guests I encountered were foreigners. The price isn't expensive, and the room is large, but the facilities are a bit old. The room's cleanliness was actually decent, it just felt a bit dated.
One of the best hotels during my stay in Kyushu region. Super comfortable and staffs are very welcoming. Room is spacious with a lot of walking space. Located next to Beppu Station and super accessible to nearby shops and everything, with a Lawson and Family Mart within 2 mins of walk. The best part of this hotel is the whole building is on tatami mats as it is my favorite.
There is 7 private onsens here so there's no need to rush for it although there might be a queue for it, but it queues for a short while only.
Will definitely come back here again if I visit Beppu and try other Onyado Nono in other regions.
This is our 2nd time to stay in this hotel. The 1st time was 10 years ago, the hotel guest rooms have renovated which is quite Modern. Love the new design. The Seaview is still spectacular. Bed and pillow are very comfortable. Onsan is located at basement , an highlight is there is Basket Robins ice cream machine is available 🙂
There is a night drink bar in the hotel at the lobby level, wines , coffee, soft drinks are served.
Breakfast area is spacious , western & Japanese food are served, donuts, pancakes , noodles, vege drinks , all you can choose.
The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, so it's more convenient if you're driving. We booked breakfast and dinner, and the food was absolutely amazing; you definitely have to try it if you stay here. My favorite part was the private hot spring in the room. I'd come back again if I get the chance.
Had a very relaxing stay here. The place is super quiet and peaceful, and the staff were really nice and explained everything clearly.
We stayed for 2 nights with dinner included. The dinner set had good options, but you HAVE to try the cheesecake! It’s honestly the best I’ve ever had—so soft, rich, and moist. The portion was huge too!
The room was quite big and the hot spring was very comfy. Just a couple of small things: the view from the bath isn't much even with the door open, and the shower/tub area was way too dark. It felt like I was showering in the dark!
Overall a great experience, especially for the food and the service.
The room and the Onsen were EXACTLY like those in the listing and were absolutely stunning! The breakfast was delicious and the range more than adequate. The location is good if you drive but is about 1km walk to Beppu Tower and a bit more from the night street. But I’d happily trade that for the spacious room and the wonderful sea and sunrise view.
The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop or JR station. The owner was very friendly and provided guidance on how to use each onsen. Any questions were welcome. There were two other Japanese families staying that day, making us three groups. We all took turns enjoying the onsen, eliminating the need for competition and allowing for leisurely enjoyment. The water was very hot, and there were two large onsen rooms with ample space. Dinner was delicious, with the A5 Wagyu beef grilled in the grill. The mushroom dishes were surprisingly tasty. You don't get such a rich texture in Hong Kong; they're usually dry after grilling, but the mushrooms here were very juicy and springy. Beer and soda are available for a fee, and the prices are reasonable. The room is a two-story stand-alone building with a living room on the lower level and a tatami room on the upper level. There are two toilets, and the space is clean and spacious. Yukata, bath towels, and disposable towels are provided. It's very complete. The owner has a beautiful variety of flowers and plants, so please enjoy them. I highly recommend staying here. It's a great value.
The ryokan is not up to the expectation as what google review or trip.com ratings. Suite is quite old and smelly. Onsen area have cob webs. The family onsen is not like ig picture standard with lots of insects and a gecko. Food nevertheless is ok.
