Hotels With Pools in Jeju Province, South Korea

For my first trip to Jeju, I opted for a branded hotel, which was very convenient as it's located in the city center, right above Lotte Duty Free, and close to the airport. This saved a lot of travel time, especially on the way back when there were long delays for check-in, baggage drop, and security at the airport. The hotel breakfast was excellent and offered a wide variety. I stayed in a sea view room this time, and it was great; I even had the good fortune to see a double rainbow 🌈. Very satisfied, highly recommend.

The hotel is directly opposite the duty-free shop, making it very convenient for shopping and finding food nearby. The room was a bit small, but the service was good, with staff proactively helping with luggage and storage. Jeju Island is beautiful, but the only downside is that all the attractions are too far apart, which isn't very convenient for independent travelers.

Overall, the hotel experience was decent. Most of the staff were very service-oriented, actively greeting guests and offering assistance. The only exception was a female front desk staff member who had a poor attitude during check-in. The hotel is situated on a cliff, adjacent to Jungmun Beach, and boasts a popular infinity pool. The environment and views are outstanding, but the scenery is highly dependent on the weather; on cloudy days, the experience is significantly diminished. The lobby windows weren't cleaned properly, making the view outside consistently hazy. The public areas are spacious, but all room types are generally small, with decor and amenities roughly comparable to an Atour Hotel in China. The hotel isn't new, and the bathroom infrastructure is average, with noticeable water leakage when showering. The pool management was well-organized and orderly, but the swimsuit spin dryer was quite dirty, which made me not want to use it. Upon check-in, a deposit was required. We wanted to pay in cash and have it refunded immediately upon checkout, but we were told credit card payment was mandatory, and the deposit was not refunded within the promised timeframe after checkout. Since we had a continuous stay, the housekeeping department wasn't very thorough with room cleaning.

The room was clean and tidy, and the owners were incredibly nice. The scenery outside the guesthouse was absolutely stunning; a walk in the morning or evening is all you need, no need to go to a distant beach. There are many convenience stores and restaurants nearby, which is super convenient. It's close to the airport, but a bit far from other attractions, which is a minor drawback. Some people mentioned issues with not being able to check-in after 10 PM, and I experienced this too. However, I emailed the owners in advance, and they replied quickly. After asking for my flight number, they helped me book a taxi (though a bit pricey, it was very convenient) and waited for us until 10:30 PM. So, everyone should check their operating hours and communicate in advance when booking to avoid any problems.

Staying here in Jeju is a breeze: it's only about 10 minutes from the airport, and the hotel even offers a free shuttle, so arriving at 17:55 isn't an issue at all. The basic rooms start at 65sqm with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, offering views of Hallasan, the city, and the jelly-like sea all at once. The high-floor sea views and nightscapes are much more impressive than many hotels in Jeju city center. The 4290sqm outdoor pool area on the 8th floor features an infinity pool, a jacuzzi, and a children's pool – soaking in warm water while watching the sunset is incredibly picturesque. The 38th-floor sky lounge and sky food hall offer stunning views of the city lights. Grand Kitchen has seven open kitchens serving brunch. You can find Changwon Black Pork and Hanwoo, Grand Hyatt Beijing Roast Duck, Sichuan Hotpot, and Monsan Japanese cuisine all within the building, so you could easily eat for two days without even leaving. The Grand Hyatt Jjimjilbang (Korean sauna) has red clay, cypress, ice, and salt rooms – it's incredibly relaxing to steam after a day of walking around before heading back to your room.

First of all - the perfect stay, favouriting. This is pretty much a two-floor townhouse with widest possible 3 bed rooms and all facilities included (plus three toilets and bath-tube). Very warm at winter. Very enjoyable stay. A bit of details. The unit is a part of mini-city of similar houses around. It is built right in the forest. The architects were brave enough to keep original trees around, so your windows are looking directly into the forest - with all the singing birds, tree branches nearly touch your windows (btw, the third photo is from one of the windows). It is very silent place, with breathtaking volcano views. From facilities point of view, the project looks like suffered from financial hardship - most of the things in the minicity that were planned - are still on the plan or were outsourced to another companies (though, I am sure, once the project is completed - the price will double at least). There is no restaurant as such (at the time of writing), at or even around the place; swimming pool is largely incomplete. The BBQ mini-room in the center of the house (which is directly under naked sky) totally rot beyond repair, but I admire designers decision to build it. Never saw anything like this before. I bet it can be rebuilt. Deliveries to that area does not work - too far. So if you hungry at night - you don't have too much of options than a ramyon or cooking yourself (saying this, we discovered 이승악식당 next door - saved us greatly at lunch time). Gym equipment looked very rich, though the gym room is a bit disproportional in size - barely fits it all. Btw, we found a great table tennis table there. Overall it's a great civilization escape. Few things to be planned ahead but waking up by the sun shining directly to your eyes - unbeatable. I believe it's the one, where wife's and husband's opinions differ :).

Very good hotel. It’s not close to airport,but the distance is not that long (by taxi). Ordered taxi using airport wi-fi, payed by cash. Very nice receptionists. Clean room,pool on the roof with a nice view. There were not many people (in July). We arrived late but it wasn’t a problem to check in and there is a shop nearby which works at night. There are also some cafes and bars around. Beach is very close,you can go by walk. There are also restaurants and bars on the way. 100% good choice even if you stay for 2 nights.

Grilled, fried, and braised hairtail are all options. 🏨Inside the Hotel Every corner offers an elegant and beautiful backdrop, perfect for a trip with mom. 🏊🏻♀️Heated pool with a pool party and live band from 8-10 PM. 😋Dinner can also be enjoyed at the poolside bar, where you can listen to English party songs. Prices are around 200-300 per dish, and portions are generous. 🥐Breakfast can be delivered to your room, offsetting the buffet voucher. I chose the American breakfast: besides toast and muffins, croissants and Danish pastries were also available, delivered within half an hour. The buffet breakfast can also be exchanged for Chinese cuisine. 🌊Olle walking path by the sea + observatory: You can enjoy ocean views right from the hotel, no need to rush to popular cafes. 🛏I booked a sea-view room; there was no strange smell. Toothbrushes and toothpaste are not provided. The scented toiletries are exquisite, worth 200 per bottle, and include body lotion and conditioner. 💁🏻♀️Top-notch service. They offer turndown service in the evening, and room service is very responsive.

The hotel is pretty good, conveniently located close to everything. I've noticed that male front desk staff in Korea tend to be friendlier, and the cleaning ladies (ajummas) were also very nice. There's a restaurant at the intersection on the left side of the hotel that I highly recommend; the owner brought us fish every day and they even had Chinese-speaking staff. It was fantastic! Oh, one thing, the cleanliness of the swimming pool could use some improvement.

The overall service was good, and the rooms were marked with nationality, so Chinese-speaking assistance was available by phone. We could also request a child toilet seat. However, the overall facilities for families were a bit lacking compared to domestic parent-child hotels. There were no complimentary toothbrushes or toothpaste, so we had to bring our own or buy them from a vending machine. Only two bottles of mineral water were provided per day, and anything extra had to be purchased. Seogwipo City felt better for exploring than Jeju City, and both were about the same distance. Hyeopjae Beach is highly recommended. There was a sashimi place in the complex that was delicious, but Mom's fried chicken was just okay. For BHC fried chicken, the front desk could help order delivery, and it was a 15-minute walk away.
