The hotel's location is excellent, right across from Hakata Station, which is also Hakata's commercial hub. It's a bustling area with plenty of food and shopping options, offering a one-stop experience. For a Japanese hotel, the room was quite spacious, and the hotel itself is new and very clean. It's also an optimal choice if you're planning to join any local tours.

The overall experience is nice. Staff at check-in was polite and very helpful. The room was clean and well maintained. The only deduction is that when there were banquets in the hotel, the parking was not enough. There should be reserved spaces based on the room guests who paid for parking.

The Okura Hotel has a great location. Its back exit leads directly to a bustling area, with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The room itself isn't very spacious, and the facilities are a bit dated. The cleanliness isn't as meticulous as it used to be. However, the bed and pillows are comfortable, and the internet connection is excellent, which is a big plus for a smaller room.

This was my first time staying here. I think all the necessary amenities for a stay are provided. The highlight seems to be that planes fly directly overhead. They are quite close. However, there are no flights after 10 PM, so it's not a problem. On the other hand, it faces a busy main road with a lot of traffic, and there is noise, especially from speeding vehicles and police sirens. The building looks old, so the soundproofing may be insufficient. The nearest convenience store is a bit of a distance away, as you have to cross the main road. However, there is a Don Quijote nearby, so you can do some light shopping. The spa has a small bathtub. The sauna might be full with just three people in it. Swimsuits are required, but you can rent them for 500 yen. There are changing rooms, but no toilets or water dispensers. There is a limousine parked at the main entrance, and it seems that it can be used for pick-up and drop-off, but I didn't confirm this. It's supposed to be a resort, but it feels like only this area has a resort feel. There are some shared cooking facilities, so it might be suitable for groups.

This is an older hotel chain, and I chose it this time because the first hotel I stayed at in Japan over a decade ago was a Nikko. I haven't picked it in a long time, so I wanted to try it again, purely for nostalgic reasons. The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation, and the service remains good. However, during this stay, they were undergoing exterior renovations, which meant I couldn't open the curtains, making the room feel a bit claustrophobic. The hotel didn't mention this special circumstance on the booking platform, nor did they inform me during check-in. They also didn't offer to move me to a room not affected by the renovations or provide any other form of compensation. The complete lack of communication and options is truly unacceptable. Everything was great, I was very satisfied. The breakfast was rich and delicious. The stunning ocean view and sound of the waves were incredibly relaxing. My only minor complaint is that the projector in the room emitted a very bright blue light after turning off the main lights at night, which made it hard to sleep. It would be absolutely perfect if this could be improved. 😉

This trip to Fukuoka, staying at the Grand Hyatt was a big plus for its location. It's just a 1-minute walk from the Kushida Shrine Station subway, and close to Gion Station and Hakata Station. Taking the subway to Fukuoka Airport, Tenjin, Dazaifu, and Itoshima is super convenient. Canal City and Kushida Shrine are also within walking distance. The hotel has a trendy, minimalist urban style. The public areas are well-designed, and it even has its own large public bath and sauna – perfect for unwinding after a long day of walking. The rooms are clean and tidy, with thoughtful storage solutions, comfortable bedding, and all the essential amenities. ✅ Practical Experience: ▪️ Check-out is at 12:00. You can store your luggage for free after check-out, which is great for hassle-free shopping. The 24-hour front desk service is very friendly. ▪️ There are many convenience stores and restaurants nearby, making it easy to grab food or essentials. ▪️ Direct subway access to the airport means no stress when catching your flight. A small note: Japanese hotel rooms aren't huge, but this is typical for city hotels in Japan. Overall, it's a great choice for those visiting Fukuoka for sightseeing and shopping. Its excellent transportation links make getting around incredibly efficient.

It's a resort-style hotel. It feels very comfortable. The room is large enough, the view is open, and it has a balcony. The balcony is also equipped with a sofa and mosquito killer lamp. The bathroom has a massage pool big enough for two people.

This is a excellent stay for me and my family in Fukuoka. However, I think the front desk staff communication skills need to be improved as their English is not really good. But they are very friendly.

We were celebrating our anniversary. Originally we booked the Double room. It was ok. Larger than average. Comfortable bed. But we decided to see if we could change to another facing. We wanted to catch the sunset. It’s called Tower View. In the end, upgraded to the Panoramic Room. Windows on both sides Dome/Tower view. Bathroom includes a jacuzzi round tub, shower n toilet facilities. And panoramic windows. Use the automated curtains to ensure privacy. Location is excellent and parking cost Y2000 per night. You can walk to shopping malls and the Fukuoka Sea Hawk Stadium, PayPay Dome. Walking distance to beaches n seaside promenade. Would have loved to have stayed longer.
