I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the The Radisson San Jose hotel. Breakfast was delicious. The dinners that I had at the hotel were memorable. The front desk and dining staff were exceptional. I highly recommend the Radisson San Jose hotel.
Book only one night needed to be closed to the airport prior to leaving Costa Rica. I arrived too early to check in so I left my backpack in the storage and went sightseeing. Rooms were cleaned however my issues was with the cleanliness of the bathrooms I wish they were cleaner . Shower’s didn’t have any hooks or shelves and I didn’t have anywhere to but my stuff other then the floor. I found a very cockroach in the shower which was also gross. Bathrooms could definitely be cleaner and furniture could be less broken done. Definitely more on the budget friendly side.
Good points, room very nice and clean. Bar and pool staff very good. Dinner OK. Amenities also good.
Not so good, receptionists abrupt and unwelcoming, we were told to see the bell man to organise a lift to the airport and he just left us standing at his desk organising about 10 suitcases and then walked off to deliver them to various rooms. We went for breakfast at 05.00 as it says on room information and was told when checking out it opens at 05.30. We had a flight to catch and make our own way to the airport so no breakfast.
Very good hotel, high cost performance, convenient transportation, supermarkets and McDonald's, the hotel restaurant level is good, the price is relatively good.
I stayed in this hotel on a business trip a few years ago. It's not far from the airport and has a nice environment. There's a coffee shop downstairs next door and the transportation is convenient. There was a safety drill on the day before leaving, which was pretty good.
It’s more cost-effective to book a breakfast-included package on Ctrip. When I checked in, I didn’t find breakfast at first, but it soon became clear.
The city view was the best part, we got picked up from the hotel for a day tour. Tour guide said we’re in the new buildings area but it’s still unsafe at night so don’t go walking around, but the hotel itself was five to ten minutes from everything else, in the day we did walk around and felt safe, the park is right next to it which was nice to see and of course the stadium, cleanliness and guest services were great accommodating, we had our anniversary dinner at their restaurant and it had great views but service was slow and food was only okay, could’ve/should’ve eaten somewhere else, the best part was the pool on the highest floor, the top four floors were apartments, but the pool is on the highest of their floor, the jacuzzi wasn’t warmed and they warmed us that it wasn’t, but the pool itself was nice to swim in, stayed there for a little over an hour before going to dinner, would definitely go book again
I stayed at Delta Hotel by Marriott during my trip to Costa Rica, and it was such a great experience! The hotel is beautiful, modern, and super comfortable. From the moment I arrived, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed.
My room was cozy, and had a really comfortable bed — I slept well. The amenities were excellent too — loved the pool area, gym, and especially the breakfast buffet with plenty of delicious local and international options.
The location was also very convenient, close to shops, restaurants, and just a short drive from the airport. It made exploring the area really easy.
Hotel Soluxe el Sesteo is the perfect place to unwind after a day of travel or work.
This property has a pool, including a pool with view.
This property is home to a restaurant.
At this bed and breakfast, you'll also find facilities including a bbq. The property's front desk offers service in 3 languages, including English. For extra convenience, free luggage storage and laundry service (on-site) are available at the property as well.
Guests arriving by car can use the property's parking lot.
The hotel felt like a garden, and the front desk service was attentive. Other than that, there's really nothing else worth recommending. It's truly inconvenient.
It's a nice place to rest next to the big city. You must take ubers if you want to do an activity but if you don't want to do anything for a while, they have enough nice common space to use. The breakfast is nice and you have a choice of 6 things, as well as the staff is very helpful.

TTessa_assetUndiscovered gem of a hotel near San Pedro.
Pros: We were looking for a place on the lower end of the price spectrum that was a one night romantic getaway for two, that I could also use my free trip coins at toward the cost of the room. Preferably including breakfast and a swimming pool with jacuzzi 😉 Not much to ask!
We booked one of the cheaper rooms on the ground floor.
Before check in we took an Uber to San Pedro mall to do some essential shopping and see a movie. Then we checked in and I relaxed in the jacuzzi under the San José night sky while my husband enjoyed a full workout in the gym/weights room. TV with cable was great for my husband who enjoyed the football while I enjoyed the hot shower and relaxed in the bed afterwards. We had an amazingly comfortable sleep and a delicious breakfast in the morning of gallo pinto, fresh tropical fruits, freshly squeezed watermelon juice and hot coffee. A generous check out time of 12pm meant we had more than enough time to get our things together and leave when it suited.
Cons: Not many cons at this price point and value. The guy at the desk was a bit weird when we asked him for a second glass for water as there was only one in the room but not a big deal. We also had to ask him for the TV remote. The towels were a bit small like a mini dress on me after my shower. But good quality (with a third extra towel for the jacuzzi) and high quality bed linen. It also is in a slightly rough looking neighborhood but this is not a problem if you travel to and from the hotel by Uber or use a hire car (which you can park privately inside the property).
Overall impression: The other photos on trip.com and similar booking sites do not do this hotel justice - it looks far better in person. It has real character since it is a restored historic hotel from an era bygone, but that is why everything is such high quality from the bed linen to the floor tiles. Everything is also in good shape and freshly painted. There a little hidden nooks around the hotel that make it very charming. The breakfast area is lovely and the jacuzzi, pool and water slide were a real highlight. We WILL be back.

GGuest UserExcellent hotel, clean. A delicious breakfast and polite staff. When you left the hotel, we were asked to print the documents and call us a taxi to the airport - we all helped. We are very happy ♥️♥️♥️
GGuest UserIt's a decent hotel with a lot of details that aren't quite right. The rooms are comfortable and the beds are excellent. The maid didn't empty the trash cans during our two-night stay, nor was the shampoo ever refilled in the dispenser in the shower. There are no carpets or rugs in the room so you're constantly walking on luxury vinyl plank flooring with wet feet. After you get out of the shower. There are no Kleenex boxes or dispensers in the room, and the TV programming was difficult to decipher, especially the secondary audio program in order to listen to the TV in English rather than Spanish. Also, the closed captioning never worked on the TV

XXiaohuojianleoThe hotel is half an hour away from the airport. The rooms are large and clean. It provides the famous local Britt coffee. The breakfast variety is OK, and it changes every day. The waiter will enthusiastically pour coffee or orange juice. However, some single rooms may have a connecting door next door. If you mind, you can inform the front desk in advance.
