Great hotel in the heart of Kanazawa! Located next to Omicho market, walking distance to Kanazawa castle and Kenrouku Gardens. Fantastic hotel with friendly and helpful staff, especially the front desk. Amenities were also excellent and nice comfortable bed and room size.
It’s also the only hotel I’ve stayed in where my request for extra pillows and towels were really fulfilled! I’m so glad and thankful to the hotel for going the extra mile for my requests.
And not to forget the nice public bath with nice views! Housekeeping was awesome too with providing clean rooms and sheets within a short time ! Excellent hotel and great staff! Keep up the great service!
This hotel is quite basic, similar to an economy hotel in China. The room isn't very spacious, but the details are well-thought-out, and all necessary amenities are available. The hotel's main advantage is its incredibly convenient location; just step out the door to the left, and you're at Kanazawa train station. The ginkgo trees lining the streets in late autumn offer a charming view, making travel very easy. I noticed many domestic business travelers and older students staying there. The hotel has a public bathhouse accessible with your room card, but we were too exhausted from sightseeing every day to try it. Overall, this hotel isn't for a relaxing 'lie-flat' stay, but for those who frequently visit attractions, its location and value for money make it a pretty good choice.
Very good location just opposite the train station and shopping malls. You can get many stores or food shops easily within a few minutes walking distance. The breakfast is super good with lots of fresh sashimi and sweet prawns.
The hotel services are great too with friendly staffs assisting you whenever you need them. A big compliment to one of the service member called 张 who even helped us to book the hotel in Hakuba.
Definitely will come back again with no hesitation.
The hotel itself boasts a fantastic design, and its location is absolutely superb. It's right opposite the seafood market and just a few minutes' walk from Higashiide Coffee, which meant I had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast and coffee there one morning.
It's a bit of a distance from Kanazawa Station. While the hotel does offer a shuttle service, it only operates in the afternoon. I ended up taking a taxi to the hotel from the station, but this was perfectly acceptable.
Overall, it's excellent! I've already recommended it to my friends and will definitely be back!
HOTEL MYSTAYS PREMIER Kanazawa – My Absolute Favourite of My 2026 Japan Trip!
I stayed at HOTEL MYSTAYS Premier Kanazawa for three nights, and it ended up being my favourite hotel of my entire trip. The room was extremely clean and very spacious — at 32 sqm, it really was much larger than most hotels in Japan for the price paid and was very comfortable for a longer stay.
The pricing was also very affordable for the space, quality, and comfort provided, making it excellent value for money. Service from the staff was also excellent — friendly, professional, and always helpful whenever we needed assistance.
There is a bathtub provided with bath salts given at the front desk
Food: I also tried the Kanazawa Gozen (last pic) recommended by the hotel, and it was fantastic. At 3,500 yen, it was well worth the price and a great way to experience local cuisine without leaving the hotel.
Location: 5 mins walk from JR Kanazawa Station exit, pretty straightforward, with an underground walkway, which is noticeable after exiting and turning left.
Overall, an outstanding stay and easily my top hotel choice during this trip. I truly hope to return and stay here again in the future.
I've lost count of how many times I've stayed at this hotel; it's always my top choice when I come to Hokuriku (unless it's cherry blossom season and prices are too high). The rooms are spacious enough, and this time, my room even had a proper desk, so I didn't have to work in bed every night. Lately, many hotels in Japan don't provide bath salts, but this one still does. It's so relaxing to come back after walking over 10,000 steps and use the massager to soothe my tense muscles. The bedding and linens are clean and comfortable. Breakfast has always been a major draw for me. They offer sashimi, cooked fish, salads, yogurt, fruit, and plenty of small pastries (though I don't eat much of them anymore due to age). You can also get a hot bowl of Oden. The room is equipped with a microwave, so you can heat up some milk before bed. I love it so much, I stayed for four consecutive nights.
Hotel is so great I will definitely come back to Kanazawa one day and stay here. The room is spacious enough for 3 of us. They provided every amenities we needed including ironing equipment. We can dry our clothes in the bathroom. Staff are very friendly even though my Japanese skills are so bad. We were a bit unlucky due to the weather, there was hailing when we were there but other that it's all good. Most importantly, the hotel is right next to the Kanazawa station and ease us on our movement around. Thank you for the great service I will definitely come back.
Hakuchoro is a classic in Kanzawa, the decor is very tastefully done and the overall atmosphere has character. It’s onsen is natural spring water and though the bath are relatively modest, it never gets crowded. They provide free bus shuttles to and from the Kanazawa station and is a very helpful feature. Rooms are large and well appointed and everything in the fridge - water, tea, orange juice and beers are free and topped up everyday. The stained glass in the lobby area and in the rooms are nice touched included the very nice pottery ware used for breakfast! Breakfast buffet spread is both western and Japanese and they even now have sparkling wine and sake for breakfast!
Definitely has character!
We had a very pleasant stay at Tokyu Stay Kanazawa. The hotel is in a great location, within easy walking distance to Kanazawa’s main attractions, shopping streets, and public transport, making it very convenient for exploring the city.
The room was clean, modern, and well designed, with one feature I really appreciated — the in-room washing machine, which was extremely convenient, especially for travellers on longer trips. The bed was comfortable, and the room had everything I needed for a relaxing stay.
The staff were polite, friendly, and helpful, providing good service throughout my stay. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient.
Overall, Tokyu Stay Kanazawa offers excellent value, comfort, and convenience. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kanazawa and would happily stay here again.
A truly satisfying stay, made even better by the snowy Kanazawa scenery!
Upon check-in, the front desk attendant was incredibly gentle and thorough in explaining the check-in process and hotel amenities. In the lobby, there were complimentary tea bags and coffee available, but what impressed me most were the free, travel-sized skincare products like toner and lotion – they were a lifesaver. The hotel is located on a quiet side street within the Kanazawa Station area, offering the best of both worlds: convenient transportation and a peaceful environment. All things considered, it offers excellent value for money.

DDandingzhiranThis hotel is quite good for Kanazawa. It has an excellent location right in the city center, very close to Kanazawa Station. It offers good value for money and is generally clean and tidy. Inside the hotel, you're expected to remove your shoes and walk in socks. On the 13th floor, there's a hot spring bath, with one indoor and one outdoor area. The rooms are a bit small but have a very traditional Japanese setup. The breakfast is Japanese-style with a wide variety of options and is highly recommended; just make sure to enter the restaurant before 9 AM, otherwise, it will be closed. From 9 PM to 11 PM, complimentary late-night snacks and drinks are available. There's a dedicated parking lot beneath the hotel, costing 1500 yen per day. It's also just a few minutes' walk from Omicho Market, and getting to Kenroku-en Garden, Higashi Chaya District, and the station is very convenient.
Ppolaris-jinThe location is absolutely fantastic! It's connected directly to Kanazawa Station by a walkway, so even when it was snowing, I barely needed an umbrella. However, **the photos are completely misleading and deceptive!** They make the room look huge and spacious with a sofa, implying there'd be plenty of space for luggage. But when my friend and I got in, we were practically bumping into each other – it was no bigger than a typical budget hotel room.
GGuest UserRooms (3/5): For a family of 3 the room was relatively spacious and had no trouble handling us and our luggage. There is a decent amount of wall plugs with 2 in the room and a third in the seating area. They also give an extension cable with 2 sockets and 2 usb ports. The toilet is spacious and the bath is decent in size. Overall atmosphere of the room was calm and relaxing.
Service (4/5): Service was exceptional, the receptionist introduced the hotel to us well and they had several pamphlet guides from how to wear a yukata to how to behave in an onsen and several others which was nice to havw. When leaving the onsen by car, they also wave until you are out of sight which is a small cherry on the top.
Facilities (4/5): They have 2 onsens, mens and ladies which alternate daily. I only had the joy of trying one of them which was lovely and had a small cold bath outside which is a plus in my book. In the mainlobby they also have free flow non alcoholic drinks through a dispenser, having hot drinks like tea and coffee and cold calpis, coke, sprite, orange juice and water. Had a nice time after the onsen grabbing something sweet and cold then sitting in the lounge to cool off.
Food (3/5): The dinner was lovely. They served a variety of food with the steamed horse mackeral standing out (this is coming from a person who does not like fish that is cooked besides when its battered). The seaweed and miso based paste also went lovely with the rice. Breakfast was also decent but nothing outstanding besides the pudding at the end.
Overall 3.5/5: If you want to be out of the hustle and bustle of the city and just really want to kick back and relax this is the place to be. For me, this Ryokan is worth visiting again if I ever pass by. Nothing extremely exceptional but overall enjoyable experience.

WwendyliuyiOverall, a very satisfying hotel experience.
**Location:** Extremely convenient, just a 3-minute walk from Kanazawa Station. It was great to be able to drop off shopping anytime, and there's a mall right outside.
**Room:** Very spacious and clean. Since I booked for two adults and one child, they had all three beds made up, which shows great attention to detail. There's also a simple kitchenette, though we didn't use it, and a very convenient dining table.
**Facilities:** The hotel has public coin-operated washers and dryers, which were usually free during the day. There's also a gym next door.
**Dining:** The breakfast was quite substantial, with both hot and cold options. What was really nice was that from after breakfast until evening, there's complimentary tea, coffee, and even alcoholic beverages in the lobby. The lobby also has a 24-hour self-service convenience store.
RR ToroBrilliant boutique hotel with truly kind and amazing staff. Only 15 rooms but the staff truly outsize the hotel in terms of what would wow me. They really make you feel very comfortable and safe. Great location to visit Kenrokuen!
LLieu Munn LoongMy wife and I have had a 3-night stay at this Hotel Wing International Premium Kanazawa Ekimae Room #1105 from 8 to 11 October 2025.
The Hotel is just a 5-minute walk away from the Kanazawa Station (which has a beautiful structure called the Drum Gate). Its reception is located on the 13th Floor, and it has limited parking lots on the 1st Floor. So we are grateful and thankful that we were given a lot for just ¥1000 per day for 3 days. The Hotel staff are polite and helpful, and are able to communicate in English.
As the Hotel is located right in the city centre, so shopping centres with food courts are within walking distance, and it is about a 15-minute walk to the popular Omicho Market and the historic old town site.
The hotel room is the standard typical type whereby it is small but very clean. The bed and pillows are comfortable for our liking, and the bathroom - again the typical Japanese type - is clean and its has strong water pressure for a comfortable shower.
The Hotel also provides free drinks (coffee and green tea) at the reception throughout morning till night.
At SGD S$68 per night, we find it very value for money, and we will choose to stay here if we travel to Kanazawa again.
