The hotel is in central Kanazawa, about an 18-minute walk from JR Station. On the first day, we checked in and went out to find food, but it started raining, which was a bit of a struggle and really dampened my impression of the city. The rest of our stay was cloudy, and it even sleeted. The famous Kenrokuen Garden was shrouded in mist, making it impossible to truly appreciate its beauty. I honestly couldn't understand why this city is so renowned; I felt a bit misled. Thankfully, visiting Amaharashi in Takaoka made the trip worthwhile. The hotel breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant's ambiance created a great sense of luxury. We even found a restaurant that Abe once visited for dinner, which was a nice little social media moment.

This hotel is quite basic, similar to an economy hotel in China. The room isn't very spacious, but the details are well-thought-out, and all necessary amenities are available. The hotel's main advantage is its incredibly convenient location; just step out the door to the left, and you're at Kanazawa train station. The ginkgo trees lining the streets in late autumn offer a charming view, making travel very easy. I noticed many domestic business travelers and older students staying there. The hotel has a public bathhouse accessible with your room card, but we were too exhausted from sightseeing every day to try it. Overall, this hotel isn't for a relaxing 'lie-flat' stay, but for those who frequently visit attractions, its location and value for money make it a pretty good choice.

The room was spacious, comparable to hotels of the same caliber in China. The service was attentive and warm! The hotel is very close to the station; if you don't want to walk above ground, you can enter the hotel directly from the underground. There are 24-hour shops around the hotel, making it very convenient for dining.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to the seafood market, which makes it incredibly convenient for trying out fresh local seafood. Our triple room was the same size as a standard room, simply with an extra bed added, making it ideal for two adults and one child. The hotel also offers self-service coin-operated laundry and drying machines at a very affordable price.

The room was spacious and the memory foam pillows were comfortable. However, the part of the room near the headboard felt a bit cold, so I had to turn up the air conditioning. There was no complimentary bottled water, but luckily there's a 7-Eleven downstairs. It's very close to the JR station, with tons of shops and restaurants to choose from.

The room was spacious and very comfortable. It's about a 10-minute walk from Kanazawa Station, and there's a bus stop right outside. Omi-cho Market is only a 3-4 minute walk away. The room came equipped with a facial beauty device and even an electric foot massager, which was a nice surprise. What I was most thrilled about was the wardrobe that sterilizes and de-wrinkles clothes – so convenient for travelers! Besides the free coffee and tea in the lobby, they also provided coins daily per person, which could be used at the vending machines for drinks or exchanged for an alcoholic beverage at the lobby's bar area. The service was also very thoughtful. Highly recommended!

Hotel is so great I will definitely come back to Kanazawa one day and stay here. The room is spacious enough for 3 of us. They provided every amenities we needed including ironing equipment. We can dry our clothes in the bathroom. Staff are very friendly even though my Japanese skills are so bad. We were a bit unlucky due to the weather, there was hailing when we were there but other that it's all good. Most importantly, the hotel is right next to the Kanazawa station and ease us on our movement around. Thank you for the great service I will definitely come back.

Very high quality, comfortable, and beautiful hotel at reasonable price. Its location by the castle makes it very convenient for exploring the castle and Kenrokuen on snowy days. Its Kaga Ryori dining is exquisite and value for money! The hotel shop has a very good selection of products at reasonable prices. The onsen has cold and hot bath, as well as a sauna with TV. The hotel is very thoughtful and generous in providing free ice cream treats after onsen, and onsen bath powder set for customers taking green measures (not requiring cleaning and change of bedsheet every day).

We had a very pleasant stay at Tokyu Stay Kanazawa. The hotel is in a great location, within easy walking distance to Kanazawa’s main attractions, shopping streets, and public transport, making it very convenient for exploring the city. The room was clean, modern, and well designed, with one feature I really appreciated — the in-room washing machine, which was extremely convenient, especially for travellers on longer trips. The bed was comfortable, and the room had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were polite, friendly, and helpful, providing good service throughout my stay. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. Overall, Tokyu Stay Kanazawa offers excellent value, comfort, and convenience. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kanazawa and would happily stay here again.

A truly satisfying stay, made even better by the snowy Kanazawa scenery! Upon check-in, the front desk attendant was incredibly gentle and thorough in explaining the check-in process and hotel amenities. In the lobby, there were complimentary tea bags and coffee available, but what impressed me most were the free, travel-sized skincare products like toner and lotion – they were a lifesaver. The hotel is located on a quiet side street within the Kanazawa Station area, offering the best of both worlds: convenient transportation and a peaceful environment. All things considered, it offers excellent value for money.

DDandingzhiranThis hotel is quite good for Kanazawa. It has an excellent location right in the city center, very close to Kanazawa Station. It offers good value for money and is generally clean and tidy. Inside the hotel, you're expected to remove your shoes and walk in socks. On the 13th floor, there's a hot spring bath, with one indoor and one outdoor area. The rooms are a bit small but have a very traditional Japanese setup. The breakfast is Japanese-style with a wide variety of options and is highly recommended; just make sure to enter the restaurant before 9 AM, otherwise, it will be closed. From 9 PM to 11 PM, complimentary late-night snacks and drinks are available. There's a dedicated parking lot beneath the hotel, costing 1500 yen per day. It's also just a few minutes' walk from Omicho Market, and getting to Kenroku-en Garden, Higashi Chaya District, and the station is very convenient.

Ppolaris-jinThe location is absolutely fantastic! It's connected directly to Kanazawa Station by a walkway, so even when it was snowing, I barely needed an umbrella. However, **the photos are completely misleading and deceptive!** They make the room look huge and spacious with a sofa, implying there'd be plenty of space for luggage. But when my friend and I got in, we were practically bumping into each other – it was no bigger than a typical budget hotel room.

GGuest UserRooms (3/5): For a family of 3 the room was relatively spacious and had no trouble handling us and our luggage. There is a decent amount of wall plugs with 2 in the room and a third in the seating area. They also give an extension cable with 2 sockets and 2 usb ports. The toilet is spacious and the bath is decent in size. Overall atmosphere of the room was calm and relaxing. Service (4/5): Service was exceptional, the receptionist introduced the hotel to us well and they had several pamphlet guides from how to wear a yukata to how to behave in an onsen and several others which was nice to havw. When leaving the onsen by car, they also wave until you are out of sight which is a small cherry on the top. Facilities (4/5): They have 2 onsens, mens and ladies which alternate daily. I only had the joy of trying one of them which was lovely and had a small cold bath outside which is a plus in my book. In the mainlobby they also have free flow non alcoholic drinks through a dispenser, having hot drinks like tea and coffee and cold calpis, coke, sprite, orange juice and water. Had a nice time after the onsen grabbing something sweet and cold then sitting in the lounge to cool off. Food (3/5): The dinner was lovely. They served a variety of food with the steamed horse mackeral standing out (this is coming from a person who does not like fish that is cooked besides when its battered). The seaweed and miso based paste also went lovely with the rice. Breakfast was also decent but nothing outstanding besides the pudding at the end. Overall 3.5/5: If you want to be out of the hustle and bustle of the city and just really want to kick back and relax this is the place to be. For me, this Ryokan is worth visiting again if I ever pass by. Nothing extremely exceptional but overall enjoyable experience.

GGuest UserUpon arrival, the sofa bed was already set up, making the room feel very spacious. The kitchen was fully equipped with pots, pans, an induction cooktop, coffee machine, kettle, range hood, dishwasher, dish soap, and dishcloths – everything you could need. The toilet was separate from the washroom and shower. The shower had great water pressure. I didn't notice any skincare amenities provided in the room, but pajamas, toothbrushes, and razors were available for guests to pick up in the lobby. The lobby featured a spacious lounge and reading area, along with a drink vending machine. Downstairs and a right turn led directly to a food mall. Across a small street, to the left were a hair salon and an excellent seafood restaurant, while to the right was Hyakubangai shopping street. The front desk staff, who I believe was from Southeast Asia, could communicate well in English and had a pleasant demeanor. On a side note, here are some Kanazawa sightseeing recommendations. My child's top pick was Myoryuji Temple. It was reportedly built by the local lord as a covert defense against the central government, featuring many ingenious (though perhaps not very sturdy) hidden mechanisms. Many temples in that area were supposedly established for similar strategic purposes. My personal favorite was Nagamachi, near the Buke Yashiki (Samurai District). It's an area concentrated with former samurai residences – imagine a beautiful Japanese version of a historic mansion district like the Yuyuan Road or Huashan Hospital area in Shanghai. Scattered nearby are art shops, small museums detailing local history, and craft galleries. It’s quite fascinating to explore and learn about Kanazawa's past. There's also a small alley, possibly only open in the evenings, with yakitori izakayas called 'Hashi-something' (Bridge-something)? Higashi Chaya District, on the other hand, felt a bit like a 'tourist street' – the kind you find in many cities, whether genuinely old or a recreation – with somewhat homogenous merchandise. Still, it's very picturesque for photos. The Asano River itself was just like any small river in a Japanese provincial town, with scenery not quite comparable to the impressive urban riverfronts back home in China.

Jjwong229The location is convenient, approximately a 7-8 mins walk from Kanazawa Station. Note that the building entrance is small and can be easy to miss. Check-in and breakfast are located on 13/F. The staff were polite and responded promptly to my pre-arrival emails. The hotel kindly arranged our room near the elevator as requested. The room was not big but provided just enough space to open our luggage. There's also a mirror which you can flip open from the table. While the room's proximity to the station meant train sounds were faintly audible, it was not a problem for us at all. Breakfast was a highlight, offering a wide variety of food in a semi-buffet format, including a main dish choice (burger or fish with rice) and vanilla ice cream. The availability of microwaves and ice machines on certain floors was a useful amenity. Overall, this is a solid choice for a comfortable and well-located stay in Kanazawa.
