Enjoyed my stay. Traditional tatami mat throughout and hence shoes are to removed at entrance. Only 5 mins walk to omichio market. I had a very good sleep and rest. The hotel offers osen, complimentary late night ramen and ice cream/yakult with manga corner. Convenient location where walking is possible to most attractions like Kenroku-en and Higashi Chaya District.

TY-Ngeasy to find, just 2 min walk from train station and a big building in your right hand side. Though not a new hotel with something in common area preferred to be renewed; in side the room is very nice, large room compared with usual standard.
Breakfast very nice

Anonymous UserI stayed for one nights. The front desk staff and the restaurant staff were all very friendly and made for a very comfortable stay. They also gave me detailed information about recommended restaurants in the area. The large public bath was also very spacious, and from the open-air bath I could see the mountain stream through the trees. The sound of the water and the clear air were truly soothing. I expect the cold weather will continue in Yamanaka Onsen for the foreseeable future, so please take care of yourselves, and I hope all the staff members take good care of themselves.

Guest UserThe hotel is clean, and the front desk staff are very helpful. There’s a laundry machine on every floor, which makes it very convenient for guests. The only downside is that no hot bath. The location is excellent — Omicho Market is just steps away. Higashi Chaya Geisha District is within waking distance also.
Overall, this hotel is good staying at. But, I personally feel hotel rate is at higher price due missing hot bath amenities..

Guest UserThe room facilities are complete. It's not very big, but it's enough for a comfortable stay. The hotel's location is excellent; it's within walking distance of major attractions like Oyama Shrine, Kanazawa Castle Park, Kenrokuen Garden, Ishiura Shrine, and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, which is very convenient.

wuzhi0603The room was spacious and conveniently located right after turning right from the JR station's south exit. The lobby offered complimentary drinks and beverages daily from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The ambiance was also excellent, perfect for a vacation. My only minor complaint is that they didn't provide face cream or facial cleanser, which I've become accustomed to at Japanese hotels. I almost ran out of the ones I brought myself.

XiaoruStayed two nights in Kanazawa. It's truly a bustling place. The architecture outside the train station resembles a museum, and the fountain with the changing date display is quite unique. The hotel is about two blocks from the train station, which is pretty close. For sightseeing, I'd recommend taking a taxi as walking can be a bit far, even though the city isn't huge. The hotel itself is quite modern, with a bit of a Versace vibe. However, since there's no hot spring bath, the room feels a bit small.

This hotel is clearly showing its age and may not meet expectations for those looking for a more modern or well-maintained stay. While it carries the IHG branding, the overall experience feels dated.
One of the main challenges was communication. The front desk staff had very limited English proficiency, making it difficult to get clear directions—especially regarding parking. Guests are required to go to the front desk to ask about parking arrangements, which is not very convenient. The signage outside is also misleading, and it’s easy to mistakenly park at a nearby open-air lot that charges ¥100 per 15 minutes or ¥1000 for 12 hours. The hotel’s designated parking is actually located in a shopping mall, which is not immediately obvious.
The rooms themselves are quite old, with worn facilities. The bathroom had a noticeable musty smell, suggesting poor ventilation or maintenance. Amenities were basic—Dove toiletries were provided instead of the more commonly seen Pola brand in Japanese hotels. The air conditioning was also ineffective, which made the stay less comfortable.
That said, the hotel does have one strong advantage: location. It is directly opposite Ōmichō Market, making it very convenient for exploring the market and enjoying a great local breakfast.
Overall, this hotel may be suitable for travelers
who prioritize location over comfort, but those expecting a smoother and more modern stay might want to consider other options.

Brilliant boutique hotel with truly kind and amazing staff. Only 15 rooms but the staff truly outsize the hotel in terms of what would wow me. They really make you feel very comfortable and safe. Great location to visit Kenrokuen!

Robin Dennis MokIt was a nice stay with luck as we enjoying snowy in Kanazawa. The hotel is very close to the JR station and shopping centre which is within 15 mins pleasant walk around. It is clean and tidy with good services. There is no doubt to revisit next time.
