"I was initially in a dilemma about whether to stay here or not, but looking back, it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my trip! After carefully planning the journey, getting there was actually quite straightforward. For those coming from Hohhot, here's the route I took: 1. Take a train from Hohhot to Dalate West Station. 2. Take a Didi from Dalate West Station to Huailian Tourism Resort Reception Center (about 40 minutes, around CNY50). 3. Purchase rm176 of the Whistling Dune Bay package ticket, which includes admission, cable car, Yuesha Island access, and a camel ride. 4. Resort guests have access to a special lane for the cable car, which takes about 8 minutes. 5. Upon arrival, take the resort jeep transfer to the accommodation area. 6. Enjoy activities such as sand sliding, swimming in the pool, stargazing, and simply experiencing the peaceful desert atmosphere at night. 7. After checkout, take the jeep transfer to the mini desert train, followed by the duck car ride, before returning via cable car. 8. It can be difficult to get a Didi from the resort reception area, but the staff kindly helped arrange a taxi back to Dalate West Station for around CNY50. 9. Continue the journey from Dalate West Station to Ordos. What impressed me most was the hospitality. From the WeChat communication before arrival to the reception team and resort staff, everyone was incredibly helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The night experience was truly spectacular. The desert becomes so peaceful after sunset — all you can hear is the sound of the sand, while above you is a sky filled with countless stars and a beautiful moon. It was one of the most memorable moments of my trip. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique desert stay and unforgettable experience!"

"We checked in during the morning and the place was really lovely, super clean. For the same price point, this guesthouse's decor is truly excellent! Folks, this should be your top choice. Plus, there's a picking area in the yard with organic fruits, and we weighed some to eat on the road. There's a small restaurant across the street with food. We didn't get a chance to have breakfast, but the owner said it's a buffet. Their stir-fries are really good, made with their own vegetables – highly recommended!"

Hotel near Baobai Wangfujing,Baotou
The Shimao Hotel provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Shimao Hotel is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Baotou. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Kundoulunshao Railway Station located approximately 7km away and Baotou Donghe International Airport roughly 21km away. This hotel is located near many of Baotou's attractions including Bayi Park, Russian Style Street - Gorky Building and Russian Style Street - Little Kremlin Tower. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. This Baotou hotel features parking on site. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling on business.

"I stay in this hotel every time I come to Baotou. The advantage is that the room is large and the surrounding area is bustling. The disadvantage is that the room is not only not soundproof, but also does not block out the smell of smoke, and the air is not good. When I went to the bathroom in the morning, I suddenly heard someone talking next to me. I was startled. I looked around and saw no one there. Then I realized that the sound insulation must be poor and there were people talking outside the door. It was my first time to have breakfast here. It closed at 9:30 and went there at 8:45. There was not much left. Occasionally, I would not replenish a few dishes. There was not much to eat in the breakfast that was not rich in the first place. Not satisfied."

The location is super convenient, just about 300 meters from Xinhua Square subway station, and there are tons of shopping malls nearby. Dining options are great too; there's a popular restaurant right next to the hotel, and the food is pretty good. The room hygiene was fine, and overall, it's good value for money.

Taking advantage of the May Day holiday, I spontaneously embarked on a trip without much planning, intending to decide things as I went along. My classmate's mother recommended this hotel. To find a 5-star guesthouse-level hotel at this price during May Day was truly exceptional value for money. The hotel environment is excellent; although some areas were undergoing renovation, it didn't detract from the overall guest experience. The front office manager was incredibly welcoming, asking about our travel plans and offering genuine advice, such as visiting Dazhao Temple in the evening and reminding us about the significant temperature difference between day and night, suggesting we dress warmly. On my second day, I had originally planned to go to Chilechuan and then the desert, but she advised me to visit the desert first and then Chilechuan if time permitted. I readily took her advice, and the trip turned out to be perfect. The hotel's breakfast was fantastic and highly recommended. I look forward to staying here again during the summer holidays!

This resort feels like an oasis in the middle of the desert. Beautiful, spacious, impeccably clean, and every bit deserving of its 5-star reputation. Our room was comfortable, spotless, and thankfully free from any cigarette smell. The laundry room was another pleasant surprise, equipped with new and well-maintained washers and dryers, with detergent provided for guests' convenience. All meals are included and served in the dining hall, making the stay truly hassle-free. The food was consistently good, with hotpot available for dinner. Drinks, snacks, and refreshments were also available throughout the day. It would be difficult to leave this place without gaining a little weight! 😜 Given the size of the resort, guests may occasionally need to use the resort's transportation to get around. Fortunately, the waiting time was minimal, and we were able to travel between locations quickly and efficiently. One minor drawback of the resort's impressive size is the walking distance to some rooms. The accommodation blocks are built in a circular layout, and our room happened to be located on the opposite side from the escalator landing. This meant walking past nearly 50 rooms every time we returned to our room. While this could be inconvenient, we did notice that the rooms closer to the escalator often had a noticeable cigarette smell in the corridor. By contrast, our section at the far end was completely free of smoke odours, which made the extra walk worthwhile. Whether these were designated non-smoking rooms, I'm not entirely sure. What truly sets this resort apart is the range of activities and entertainment on offer. Guests can enjoy camel rides, ATV adventures, flying fox rides, guided stargazing walks, and nightly concerts and performances complete with spectacular fireworks displays. 🌌🐪🏍️🎆 For those looking for a Club Med-style, all-inclusive holiday with a unique desert setting, I would highly recommend this resort. It offers a memorable experience that combines comfort, adventure, entertainment, and excellent food in one remarkable destination.

How do I even begin to describe this hotel? It's hard to put into words. You can't say the service is bad, because for any feedback, the staff will just smile and say, 'Okay, we'll pay attention next time.' Before I came, I read reviews saying the hygiene wasn't good. My first night's room was okay, but to my surprise, when I checked in again on Thursday and Friday, the room was really dirty. The door felt sticky, and the luggage rack was greasy. I saw the hotel's replies to other guests saying they'd do a deep clean, and this is the result. Their attitude is: 'Okay, we'll pay attention.' Their action: none. Facilities: I paid 5-star prices for a budget hotel room. Hygiene: The second stay's hygiene was not good at all. Environment: Its only redeeming quality is the decent location. Service: The concierge service was the best in the entire hotel—everything else was lacking. Basically, if you come to Hohhot and there are no other comparable options, you're just stuck staying here.

The Fushawan Hotel Xiangshawan is perfect for families with kids! The independent yurts, though built years ago, are still clean and comfortable. It's an all-inclusive package with three buffet meals, and you get VIP access to the scenic area, skipping the queues. They offer kids' crafts, a swimming pool, and bonfire parties. Right outside, you're in the desert, and the night sky is absolutely stunning. The staff provides excellent service, proactively asking about your needs, which is very thoughtful. For family travel, the value for money is exceptional; my child didn't want to leave!

Traveling with a dog 🧳Road Trip 2️⃣ night, experience a rural homestay 🏨. The room is large, the living room 🛋️ is very spacious, equipped with a kitchen and a bar, suitable for long-term stay. Suggestion: Currently, you need to stand in the bathtub to shower 🚿, and water splashing all over the floor is inevitable. I hope to improve it❤️.

I was lucky enough to check in early when I arrived at the hotel in the morning, and they even gave me complimentary welcome fruit. I was assigned a high floor with an unbeatable view – the blue sky and white clouds really brightened my mood. The breakfast was very local, with Mongolian milk tea, lamb shaomai, lamb offal soup, rose pastries, and fresh watermelon juice. I was thoroughly satisfied. The staff were also very friendly; I forgot my charger and they kindly lent me one for emergencies. You can also have food deliveries sent to your room number, and a robot will bring them up.

room was clean and spacious. No complaints here. Checking in and out worked smoothly. But 2 things I have to complain about: 1) I have no idea why some people say the breakfast is great. For me and my wife it was terrible. Possibly the worst breakfast I ever had. Yes, they have a lot to offer. But somehow they make everything taste cheap and ”weird”. I ended up eating some dry bread with jam, because I couldn't eat anything else. I suspect that they don't cook by themselves, but buy some cheap readymade food and sell it as ”fresh”. Also, the breakfast still looks exactly the same as the pictures from more than 6 months ago. No change at all 2) no option to clean the clothes is ridiculous. I have no problem to pay or wash by myself but both they didn't allow me to do. I never saw this before. All in all it's not bad. If you don't care about the breakfast and don't want to wash your clothes, this hotel might be for you. The rooms are good and the service also very nice (apart from ”you can guess” the breakfast staff)

This stay exceeded my expectations. The hotel's location is excellent, close to a commercial district with convenient transportation. The room was well-lit and very clean, and the mattress was just right, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The thoughtful additions of a humidifier and water purifier were a nice touch. The front desk staff were warm, professional, and patient in answering questions, making check-in and check-out very efficient. The public areas were tidy and quiet, with complete facilities. It's perfect for both business trips and leisure travel. I've already recommended it to friends.
