This is an older five-star hotel, so the facilities are a bit dated, and they still follow a more traditional service model, like requiring a deposit upon check-in (which was only returned an hour and a half after I checked out – that's a bit slow for room inspection!). However, the overall service is quite good. For example, after booking, they recommended a room that met my preferences (very quiet, no noise from neighboring doors opening or closing, morning or night). They even came to the executive lounge after check-in to ask about my experience. Being an established five-star hotel, the attention to detail in their service is indeed impressive and truly makes an impression.
However, I have to add one more thing: the highest form of service is not to disturb. When I had the 'do not disturb' light on continuously, calling me to ask about this and that is, in fact, a disturbance, isn't it? Of course, I understand that the staff members have good intentions, wondering why my room wasn't being cleaned, perhaps thinking they'd forgotten, or that I might need the service, right? But you have to understand, adults who need service will ask for it proactively. The best service is actually not to disturb; that's the most appropriate approach. And of course, even better service would be to remember the customer's personalized needs, and one of those needs is often not to be disturbed.
On a side note, while the selection in the executive lounge is simple, it's sufficient. The staff there are very attentive and thoughtful, and the lounge view is beautiful – I couldn't get enough of it.
I also accidentally discovered that they now have a 'book two nights, get one free' offer, which is even better value than the two-night consecutive stay package on Ctrip….

room was clean and spacious. No complaints here. Checking in and out worked smoothly. But 2 things I have to complain about:
1) I have no idea why some people say the breakfast is great. For me and my wife it was terrible. Possibly the worst breakfast I ever had. Yes, they have a lot to offer. But somehow they make everything taste cheap and ”weird”. I ended up eating some dry bread with jam, because I couldn't eat anything else. I suspect that they don't cook by themselves, but buy some cheap readymade food and sell it as ”fresh”. Also, the breakfast still looks exactly the same as the pictures from more than 6 months ago. No change at all
2) no option to clean the clothes is ridiculous. I have no problem to pay or wash by myself but both they didn't allow me to do. I never saw this before.
All in all it's not bad. If you don't care about the breakfast and don't want to wash your clothes, this hotel might be for you. The rooms are good and the service also very nice (apart from ”you can guess” the breakfast staff)

My stay at Shangri-La Baotou far exceeded my expectations! Even before checking in, I received a call from the hotel arranging the room according to my preferences. Upon arrival, the concierge proactively helped with luggage, and the front desk staff were warm and meticulous, introducing the hotel's restaurants and fitness center. The room was clean and hygienic! I've had their shaomai before and it was good, but this time I was particularly impressed by the new mutton buns at breakfast – absolutely amazing! My family really enjoyed the freshly fried dough sticks. Overall, the entire check-in process was excellent, and the hotel's location is superb! It's only about a 15-minute drive from the highway exit! Finally, a special shout-out to Avila Wang.

From the moment we arrived, our stay was truly exceptional. What stood out immediately was the staff—every single person we encountered, from the front desk team to the housekeeping crew, was genuinely friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
The breakfast was, without a doubt, a major highlight. It was far beyond typical hotel fare—everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and incredibly tasty. They offered a wide variety of options, including fresh fruit, inner Mongolian buuz, Mongolian milk tea and made-to-order hot dishes. It was the perfect, delicious start to every morning. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and the bed was wonderfully comfortable, ensuring we had a peaceful night's sleep. This hotel offers amazing value and service, and we can't wait to return!

For my trip to Xiangshawan, I specifically booked a stay at the tent camp, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations – I have to give it a glowing review!
Upon arriving at the camp's front desk, the staff greeted me with constant smiles. Check-in was very efficient, and they meticulously explained the shuttle bus routes, precautions for the temperature difference between day and night, and the camp's amenities. All my questions were patiently answered without any perfunctory responses; the service was attentive and professional, instantly making a great impression.
Many people worry about desert tents being unhygienic or getting sand inside, but this place completely alleviated my concerns. The inside of the tent was spotless, with clean floors, bedding, and an independent bathroom, all free of sand and dust. The tables and chairs were neatly arranged, and the damp-proofing and sand-proofing were very well done, making for a highly comfortable stay. It felt nothing like a rudimentary camping experience.
The camp is nestled among the sand dunes, offering expansive views. In the evening, you can watch the sunset over the vast desert, and at night, gaze up at the Milky Way and countless stars – the ambiance is absolutely fantastic. With excellent service combined with clean and comfortable accommodation, it offers great value for money. If you're visiting Xiangshawan and want a unique desert accommodation experience, this tent camp is a must-book!

The location is incredibly convenient! There's a bus stop right outside the door and the subway station is just a two-minute walk away. The hotel rooms are clean and tidy, and the front desk and housekeeping staff were all excellent. They even upgraded my room! Plus, they have a robot delivery service for meals. The hotel breakfast is also very extensive. Highly recommended!

My partner and I stayed here during our bicycle travels in China. The hotel was very generous holding a package for us for several months as we traveled from Xinjiang through Mongolia and back to China. They also held our bicycles for a week while we took a hiatus to Datong. The staff were friendly and Mark spoke excellent English and helped us a lot with arranging for taxis or other things that we needed. There are not any restaurants or really other businesses nearby - we needed to taxi into town for anything. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean on our initial stay. The pool was just a few lanes and the gym was pretty sparse, but both exist. The restaurant breakfast buffet was expansive but also expensive. It was better when the hotel was busy and the food turnover higher.
I stay in this hotel every time I come to Baotou. The advantage is that the room is large and the surrounding area is bustling. The disadvantage is that the room is not only not soundproof, but also does not block out the smell of smoke, and the air is not good. When I went to the bathroom in the morning, I suddenly heard someone talking next to me. I was startled. I looked around and saw no one there. Then I realized that the sound insulation must be poor and there were people talking outside the door. It was my first time to have breakfast here. It closed at 9:30 and went there at 8:45. There was not much left. Occasionally, I would not replenish a few dishes. There was not much to eat in the breakfast that was not rich in the first place. Not satisfied.

I was truly impressed with my stay this time! The hotel's location is super convenient, making it easy to get around and find great places to eat nearby. My room was spotless and tidy, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The front desk service overall was excellent, and I particularly want to commend Stella at the front desk. She was incredibly warm and professional, handled my check-in very efficiently, and even gave us thoughtful tips on local attractions and things to keep in mind. She was patient throughout, making us feel very welcome and cared for. The hotel's overall environment is quiet and comfortable, and the cleanliness is top-notch. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the area, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!

TTianhenlan@The hotel offers a quiet oasis amidst the bustling city, with convenient transportation and a variety of restaurants right outside. The hotel's dining hall is also quite good; the roasted lamb chops and West Lake beef soup are worth trying. The breakfast is plentiful, and the homemade yogurt is a must-try.

XXiannvermamayaoquwanerThe hotel service was excellent. From the moment we walked in, staff thoroughly explained the hotel's facilities and daily activities.
The only downside was that the room felt a bit cramped, and occasionally there was a peculiar smell from the bathroom. However, it came equipped with a 'Xiao Du' smart assistant, allowing voice control for the TV, air conditioning, and lights, which was super convenient for lazy people like me.
Every staff member we encountered in the hotel greeted us warmly and patiently guided us to our vehicles, explained local attractions, and gave activity recommendations.
Oh, and the hotel provides sandboards! My two kids would grab one every day to find a sand dune and go sandboarding. They also offered disposable raincoats and other essentials (which were incredibly useful when we unexpectedly encountered a desert downpour).
At 8:30 PM, you can follow the hotel's wooden boardwalk to the performance venue to watch a show, and even join in for some outdoor disco!
At 10 PM, you can also join staff for stargazing in the desert. It was only my second time seeing the Big Dipper – so happy! 😃
But what I loved most was the hotel's food for all three meals. The dishes tasted fantastic, and the beef and lamb were incredibly delicious.

GGuest UserService was top notch! Personallized alike butler service. Despite low occupancy, hotel tried their best to serve a la carte 'buffet', other meals was full buffet - less quantity but still variesties are good. Food are mostly made in house including the chili oil- deliciuos, and the varieties of Baozi really excellent - the fillings are mostly without added sugar. customers servixe beyond expectations, courtesy and friendliness along with helpfulness is 👍👍.
The Aobao blessing experience is very indepth knowledge session, thankyou to the 'Teacher', he very passionately explain things to us.
The entrance to both Yusha Island (wet park) and XianSha Island (dry park inude zip line, driven atv rides, and such), camel rides - all unlimited... We went in late April, low season., no queue, was endless fun. Camel rides across both Islands (park) accompanied by beautiful scenery of the desert, we did 3 rides ar different timing, the sunset ride was mesmerising.
FUSHA Resort, albeit the room basic, but was clean, good sleep and spacious. Staff really exceptional friendly., even have unlimited coctail or liquor at the reception 'bar' at night alongside coffee and MILK tea.
Remember UV JACKET, hats, face mask, gloves.. Have fun!

The room is large, the living room 🛋️ is very spacious, equipped with a kitchen and a bar, suitable for long-term stay.
Suggestion: Currently, you need to stand in the bathtub to shower 🚿, and water splashing all over the floor is inevitable. I hope to improve it❤️.

VVV188My overall stay exceeded my expectations. The location is fantastic, making it super convenient for dining and getting around. The lobby is clean and grand, and the staff are very friendly. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The room was spacious with great natural light and ventilation. Housekeeping was incredibly thorough; there wasn't a speck of dirt or any unpleasant smells, even in the corners and bathroom. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a really good night's sleep. All the amenities were in perfect working order, with hot water and air conditioning functioning smoothly. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options and tasted great. For a mid-range hotel, this level of quality and value for money is truly rare. I've already recommended it to friends, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip.

The overall staff capability and hotel facilities simply aren't up to par for holiday service. Honestly, the hotel wasn't even at full capacity during the May Day holiday, though it was certainly much busier than a normal weekday. The result? Completely inadequate service.
1. **Limited Restaurant Seating**: Finding a table for breakfast took about 10 minutes, and staff offered no guidance or assistance whatsoever. When I asked a server for help finding a seat (as I was alone), they directly suggested I share a table with a family of three who were already halfway through their meal, with the remaining seats cluttered with the kids' bags and toys.
2. **Limited & Unreplenished Breakfast Items**: The breakfast selection itself was quite limited (also due to the small restaurant size), and many dishes weren't refilled for extended periods. Being a watermelon lover, I checked for watermelon four times within half an hour, and it was never restocked (as shown in the picture).
3. **Wi-Fi Issues & Poor Front Desk Service**: Upon arriving in my room, I found the Wi-Fi wasn't connecting. I called the front desk, and even after following their instructions, it still wouldn't connect. The front desk then said they would send an engineer to check it out. Forty minutes later, no engineer had arrived, so I called the front desk again. The first thing I heard was a loud sigh from the front desk staff (before I even had a chance to sigh myself!). I really wonder how this hotel trains its employees.
