Pet Friendly Hotels in Hunan, China

I chose this hotel on Ctrip, and it's quite typical, having the advantages of a guesthouse with a few minor flaws. First off, its location is excellent, very convenient for getting around (though Furong Ancient Town isn't very big to begin with). My room opened into a small courtyard, and from the window, I had a panoramic view of the Youyang River and its scenery. The owner was also very kind, offering transfers to and from the high-speed rail station. Breakfast was a bit lacking (typical for guesthouses), but the minced pork noodles the auntie made were quite tasty. The air conditioning's heating worked well, though it was slow to start up. When you leave and pull the card, the power cuts off, so it takes a while for it to kick back in when you return, and it's a bit noisy. The shower's hot and cold water control wasn't very precise; a slight turn made it scalding, and a bit more made it cold. Overall, this guesthouse is very good. It's clean, and the room's bedding had no strange smells whatsoever. The facilities have a few minor imperfections, but they don't affect the overall stay experience. I would choose it again on my next visit.

I was very satisfied with my stay this time. The room on the third floor exceeded my expectations in terms of overall quality – it was clean, tidy, and well-laid out, with comfortable bedding. The natural wood decor perfectly complemented the ancient town's atmosphere. It came equipped with a complete tea set and tea table, and I could enjoy views of the Tuojiang River right from the window, making it ideal for relaxation. The room looked essentially identical to the pictures displayed online. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of the ancient town, making it very convenient for getting around and sightseeing. Yet, it was relatively quiet at night, so we weren't disturbed by any noise. I especially want to thank the front desk for their service. I accidentally booked my check-in for January 1st instead of January 2nd. Upon arrival, the front desk staff proactively and patiently helped me change the reservation to January 2nd free of charge, and even upgraded my room type. The communication throughout was smooth, and their service attitude was excellent, making me feel very reassured and welcome. Overall, whether it was the room quality, the ambiance, or the service level, everything was of a very high standard. It was a very pleasant stay.

The owners are really friendly and welcoming. When we arrived at noon with our suitcases, the owner immediately helped us with our luggage, and his wife was also very kind. The inn is about a fifteen-minute walk from the Tianmen Mountain cable car. However, the double room on the second floor doesn't get any sunlight, so it can be a bit dark. The twin room gets sunlight and would be a better option, so I'd recommend booking a twin room.

I had a wonderful experience at the hotel, and Christina at the front desk truly stood out. She was incredibly helpful, professional, and always had a warm smile, making my stay even more enjoyable. I really liked the hotel. The hotel arranged a transfer from the train station to the hotel and back, and it also took us to the main attractions. The staff was very helpful and responsive to our questions and concerns. The receptionist spoke English and assisted us in purchasing tickets for the Avatar Mountains, the Grand Canyon, and the cave. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We also had a free tea ceremony with four different teas from China. After the ceremony, we were able to purchase the tea we liked. The breakfasts were good, and even a Russian person could find something to eat. The hotel grounds are a separate aesthetic pleasure, especially in the evening when the steam is turned on. There is also a very beautiful view of the mountains from the room window.

10/10 Recommend! Lovely place to stay! Big, spacious and clean! It is just beside the river and at a quieter place. Perfect for light sleepers. It’s also near to the train station. The boss is so warm and nice. He picked us up from the train station, but do arrange with them via Trip/Wechat. He helped with all the luggages and introduced us the place. A big shoutout to him for sending us back to the train station because we had too many big luggages and he was afraid that no cab would pick us up in time. Breakfast provided which was healthy and lady said could refill! Free MiaoZu costume (can try but advice to go to other stores that are cheaper if you would like to take many photos done by professionals)

The room was very comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was delicious and to my liking. The front desk service was incredibly thoughtful; I was offered a warm cup of tea upon check-in and received a lovely parting gift upon check-out, which included hand cream and a hand warmer – very considerate! The hotel's location is excellent, right near Metro Line 2, offering direct subway access to attractions like Juzizhou, IFS, Guojin Center, Wuyi Square, and Wanjiali. The transportation is incredibly convenient.

The hotel is so beautiful, clean and suitable for all kind of travels. The staff also very friendly and helpful.

Our family stayed 2 adult and 2 children in their 5th floor room. Spacious with great view of the river and part of the ancient town. Area is not noisy and far from clubs and bars from the other side of the town. Walking distance from main attraction. Room is clean and tidy with great water pressure. Our host is very friendly and accommodating and made us feel at home. They provide 1 set of traditional costume and you can rent costumes for the rest of the family with minimal charge. It became one of the highlights of our trip. They even helped us get taxi back to the highspeed rail. I definitely recommend this homestay. 😊

Environment: Huiding is an apartment-style hotel, perfect for travelers who enjoy cooking simple meals themselves. The room is comfortably furnished, and the resting and reception areas can be separated by a screen. The sofa bed is also very comfortable. Facilities: Coffee capsule machine, microwave, and refrigerator are all provided. The room amenities are consistent with what's advertised on the details page. Hygiene: Clean. Service: The hotel called a day before check-in to confirm and ask about any special requests, which was nice. Breakfast is more Chinese-style, but I noticed quite a few foreign guests, so I'd suggest adding a toaster.
