DDamarisThe photos online were misleading. Check-in was on the 3rd floor, not the 8th as stated. Luckily, I had an HK SIM to contact the property. Staff were friendly, but the room was extremely small with a strong chemical smell due to recent spraying without ventilation.
There was no shower gel or shampoo provided, and one of the restroom doors was missing.
The location is great, but overall, it's not a pleasant experience.

MM492872****Finding a room with such great value for money in Hong Kong is truly a good find! The room isn't too small either, and it's close to all the places I wanted to visit. The MTR station is right downstairs, which is super convenient. The staff are very welcoming, and the owner is especially nice. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Hong Kong.

WWutongyiwuyeIn recent years, my trips to Hong Kong have always been for my daughter's concerts. This time, she wanted to spend two days exploring the city, so I decided to finally try out this new hotel I had saved.
I arrived early, and there was a long line for check-in. A staff member named Mike saw the long queue and proactively came over to help us at another counter. Since it was my first time staying at a Kimpton, he kindly introduced the hotel's environment and facilities, and told us we could reach out to him anytime if we had questions (he later helped us resolve a few minor issues immediately, which was fantastic!).
At checkout, it was again peak time, and Myron from the concierge desk kindly helped us collect our room cards and process the checkout. Everyone was so nice!
In summary, the sea view is unbeatable, the service is excellent, and the location is convenient.

Mmiller_etienneI had a lovely one‑night stay at Stanley Oriental Hotel in Hong Kong and would definitely recommend it for a relaxed, dog‑friendly getaway. The location by the waterfront is peaceful and close to shops, restaurants, and beautiful walks, making it perfect for both people and pets.
The room was clean, comfortable and well‑laid out, with enough space for our dog to feel at ease. The staff were friendly and very accommodating about us bringing our dog, which made the whole stay feel more welcoming and stress‑free.
There was no breakfast at the hotel, but that was completely fine since there are plenty of cafés and eateries nearby where we enjoyed a nice morning meal. Overall, it was a great value, comfortable stay with the added bonus of being able to travel with our furry companion.

LLiaohezuoanIt is very convenient to travel in Chungking Mansions. It is a ten-minute walk from the Avenue of Stars and Harbor City. The boss is very nice. When I arrived, it was very inconvenient because my phone ran out of battery before the check-in time. The boss saw that I was embarrassed and asked me to go ahead in advance. GGuest UserThe staff were helpful and friendly, and got me checked-in smoothly. You get an entire floor to yourself, and will have an amazing view of the Happy Valley area both in the day and at night. Amenities within the room are great as well and properly maintained.

The entire place was kept very clean and tidy, and you could tell a lot of thought went into the public spaces and small details. The kitchen was incredibly well-equipped, with a full range of pots, pans, utensils, and basic appliances, making it super convenient if you want to cook a simple meal. What really stood out was how quickly the staff responded to messages and questions; they were always there to help right away with any issues. Overall, it was a very comfortable and reassuring stay.
