The Royal Garden Kowloon East

Great views, excellent cleanliness, and very quiet. The free shuttle service to West Kowloon High-Speed Rail, MTR Kowloon Station, and Harbour City is super efficient, getting you there in just 18 minutes.

First, the conclusion: the Royal Plaza Hotel in Tseung Kwan O, Kowloon East, was my favorite hotel during this trip to Hong Kong. Today, after battling it out at Hong Kong Disneyland with my two kids in the morning, we took at least five different MTR trains to Tseung Kwan O. My kids were so tired they fell asleep on the train. Meanwhile, I was constantly anxious, worried that the hotel I booked would disappoint everyone and not be worth all the hassle. But! But! But! Completely unlike the Hopewell Centre on the first day (I can't help but complain: oh my goodness, Hopewell Hotel has about a dozen elevators and practically no service), the Royal Plaza was so easy to find. Several times, we simply transferred trains directly across the platform. Even the hotel itself is located in the right-front passage of Exit C of the Tseung Kwan O MTR station. Crucially, upon check-in, seeing that I had two kids, they actually gave us teddy bear room cards. *Sniffle*, even the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel didn't do that last night, but the Royal Plaza did! My emotional value instantly shot through the roof!!! Upon entering the room and seeing three beds and a bathtub 🛁, I immediately went downstairs for some Hong Kong-style McDonald's, then booked a nearby Sushiro for tomorrow. I'm practically forcing everyone to try this hotel, go for it!

I booked a king-sized bed more than a week in advance, but ended up with twin beds. The most surprising thing was that the air conditioning vent in my room was leaking. Although the front desk followed up immediately after I called, the repair process took too long, wasting a lot of my time (and delaying dinner). My planned relaxing holiday was interrupted by this situation. P.S. I didn't ask for any extra compensation or consolation, and I didn't receive any either.

The free shuttle bus service to West Kowloon High-Speed Rail, MTR Kowloon Station, and Harbour City is fantastic. The service charge is very reasonable. This isn't my first time staying here, and I've already recommended it to friends. The breakfast is excellent too! I really love this hotel and will definitely bring my kids back next time. The environment is lovely, and the views are great.

The rooms were very clean, and the kids had a great time. The hotel's location is super convenient, with a shopping mall right downstairs. The staff were also very friendly and provided excellent service.

The staff were great. The hotel has a covered walkway and direct access to the subway station from the mall, so heavy rain wasn't an issue. The room felt new and the hotel's exterior is very attractive. However, the smell of new decor, especially from the mini-bar cabinet, was still quite strong. The room design was a bit impractical. The glass door meant to be moisture-proof wasn't sealed properly, making the room very humid when it rained. Also, the second wooden door opens to the right, but the outer glass door opens to the left. This meant I had to open both doors completely before closing them each time. The TV mount, where it connects to the wall, wasn't flush, so the TV couldn't face the bed directly and only faced the bathtub. Overall, considering the unchangeable hardware, the operations team did their best!

Excellent service, and the room was incredibly clean and spacious! Since we were celebrating a birthday, the hotel thoughtfully surprised us with a beautiful and delicious cake. It was a wonderful gesture!
