The hotel is located not far from the airport and is even within walking distance. A taxi ride costs no more than $5–$10. However, if you take the direct route on foot via the main road, you have to pass through a small slum area; while this might seem a bit off-putting at first, it does not feel unsafe or intrusive. We flew to East Timor to 'tick off' another new country, and chose this hotel for a one-night stay, within walking distance of the city center! The hotel exceeded all expectations – the people at the front desk were incredible, smiling, kind, and ready to assist with any request. The hotel isn't new, but it's well-maintained, clean, and cozy. The location is excellent, right by the sea, where you can catch an amazing sunset and a magical sunrise! The breakfast was small but very tasty! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! There's a pool in the courtyard, but we didn't have time to use it. I definitely recommend it! Special thanks for the airport transfer both ways! The charming gentleman who picked us up and dropped us off was incredibly efficient! We left with the warmest and brightest memories of this trip!

We had a great stay at the Luxury Duplex in Dili. The owner was extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The amenities are excellent, the rooms are very comfortable, and the air conditioning works perfectly. Everything was well maintained and made our stay easy and pleasant. We would definitely recommend this place.
