Hotels With parking in Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan

I only stayed for one night, but I had an amazing experience. My Japanese is very limited, but the owner and me communicated in a mix of English and Japanese and I felt very welcome. The small bus of the ryokan brought me together with other guests to a Kagura performance in the evening. It was one of the highlights of my trip! The location of the ryokan is very close to the shrine and the best place to stay for a cultural significant experience. I hope I can come back in the future!

From the bottom of my heart, I’d like to thank all staff of the hotel. My 11-old son and I stayed there for just one night, because we were on our way to visit gorgeous Toungenkyu hydrangeas park in the other town, so we chose to stay in Hyugashi, and that was definitely the right decision! I didn’t know that there was no public transportation assess to the park, because it’s located far upon to the mountains. But I never give up  So, I decided to get to the park by hitchhiking! And one of kind managers of the hotel wrote the name of the park in Japanese characters on a big sheet of paper to be seen from far apart for drivers. Besides, he told us where it could be possible to stop a car. So we did it! First, we went to the nearest town by train, and tried the hitching there. There was a nice lady who took us to the park and back to Hyugashi, we were so grateful to her!!! The local people were kind to us everywhere whenever it was a restaurant or a station. We will never forget the kindness of the local people!!! We liked that izakaya on the first floor in the building. Moreover, we liked that nice quiet town Hyugashi because of its people! We wish you all the best!!!

Room: room looks a bit outdated but nothing seems actually old , it's all clean and neat. decent bed. you've got to make it yourself but that's fine considering the price. curtain for privacy. steps up to top bunk which is nice compared to ladders . Bathroom: in the ladies dormitory there were three sink areas, two toilets, and two showers. all seemed clean and there were hairdryers. Security: key for ladies dormitory. Amenities: there's a whole bunch of things you can rent from the front desk but I'm not sure if there is a charge as some of the stuff listed is already freely available in the dorm itself. there seems to be a restaurant and onsen (separate charge) attached. Location: walking distance to aoshima island and aoshima station. also has a bus stop directly outside that goes to udo jingu . 7/11 also in walking distance but seemingly not a lot of shops or restaurants. Other: check in language seems Japanese only but the staff are friendly enough and it's the typical check in procedure so you can manage fine

This feels more like a self-service business hotel, but its location is incredibly convenient, right in the heart of Miyazaki. The hotel offers great amenities like a microwave and laundry room, which are really handy. We had breakfast at the hotel; the quality was average, but they had a wide variety of fresh vegetables, which helped us get our greens and fiber for the day. We stayed for three nights, and Miyazaki truly exceeded our expectations with its cleanliness, tranquility, comfort, and pleasant climate. The people are warm and genuine, and things are affordable. It's a perfect place for a relaxing getaway!

The location was good, close to Takachiho Gorge. The room was clean and comfortable, but there were many small insects. The food was just okay. I had requested special dietary accommodations in advance, but they weren't reflected at all. People with allergies should be cautious. When I contacted them about possibly being late for check-in due to a flight delay, the owner's response was a blunt 'that's not possible.' As someone in the service industry, I found that reply questionable. I believe there could have been a more polite way to say it. It was unpleasant. Many of the staff are foreign, and while I appreciate their effort, communication in Japanese was difficult. The amenities, like toothbrushes, were plentiful. There was also a drink bar with bottled tea and alcohol. They even provided chairs and cushions specifically for Kagura performances. The hairdryer and iron were from ReFa, but the hairdryer was small and noisy, hurting my ears. The iron was too small to be useful. However, some might find the amenities and facilities satisfactory. I didn't use the public bath, but apparently, it's not a hot spring and isn't very large. My friend who went with me said it was just right for about three people.

The hotel is beautiful and it has great amenities (top restaurants including a high ranked steakhouse,, an amazing bakery, a gym, hot spring, laundry room and several stores including a kimono rental store. The hotel is located close to malls and the subway station. The staff are very kind and are always willing to assist even if they are not proficient in English . The breakfast buffet is also great and was included in my reservation. Visiting the steakhouse is a must , it is a tad pricey but worth the expenditure. Miyazaki is known for its beef and chicken. My only negative comment pertains to showers in the standard rooms (there are three kinds of rooms). The showers are very dated, have a weird smell and the shower heads are what you would normally find  in a bathroom from the 70s. The rooms are spacious and clean. However, if I had known the showers and tub were so old I would have upgraded to a deluxe room. Overall the hotel is great and it is well priced for its amenities.

The hotel was simple and clean. If you put up the do not disturb sign they didn't always give you new towels everyday. So, it became tedious to ask for them everyday. Otherwise, it was a good place to stay both longterm and shortterm. Room service cleaning was done meticulously so that was appreciated. Breakfast was simple and good. Most of the staff was friendly and welcoming.

This is the best decision I’ve made during my trip in Miyazaki. I should have stayed longer here than I did in the previous booking. Almost everything is almost perfect, from the artificial hot spring to the traditional Japanese bedrooms, which are great additions to the Japanese experience. I believe it is one of the most affordable hotels in the area. The breakfast is a buffet that is included in my stay, and I had to add the Dinner buffet, which is very worth the price since the place doesn't have many restaurants nearby. The hotel is also within a 5-10 minute walk from the JR train station. The staff are also friendly. I definitely will be back here when I revisit Miyazaki soon. The day I visited was rainy, so I was unable to visit many places.

The hotel is a bit out of the way, but the environment is great, with a beach and the sea. The breakfast is super comprehensive, delicious, and offers a wide variety of options, and the restaurant ambiance is also very nice. Many Japanese guests book this hotel to experience water activities, which I didn't try, but the facilities and services here are quite complete. It's also quite close to a convenience store. However... the tatami room had a strange smell, possibly from the building materials, which did affect my mood a bit.

We originally booked one of the newer renovated rooms but when we changed dates, only rooms in the “separate” building were available. Was a bit worried the rooms in the separate building would be very old and dingy but pleasantly surprised to have a comfortable stay. Of course, the room is slightly dated (maybe feels like 1990s-early 2000s) but still very clean, comfortable snd spacious. Do note that it is a tatami room so you have to be used to sitting and sleeping on the floor so it might not be suited for older people or those with mobility issues. Meals were simple and tasty. The road to the hotel is narrow and slightly away from town but considering the price, it’s good value for money.
