I decided to book a hotel room at the last minute when I went to ksl mall on may 2,2026. Overall booking was easy, I claim the perks at youtrip apps, which switch to trip.com apps,. The booking stated 2pax which has no option to change to 1pax. You can go to the hotel front desk from ksl mall ground floor, which is near the exit where a lot of people waiting to take bus J100 to JB Sentral. But this entrance is open from 10am to 10pm only. The front desk was friendly and answer my question. He confirmed the room price for 1 and 2pax were the same. The hotel is non-smoking hotel, so all rooms are not smoking which was good for those has sensitive noise. The hotel has day use rate, but on that day was fully booked. There is a signboard written to book at the hotel website to get cheaper rate. The room card is used on tap on the sensor inside the lift before you can press the floor button. Free wifi. Room was clean, some tea bag, creamer, sugar, 2 btl drinking water and a electric kettle. Inside the toilet, there is a hairdryer, 2 shower cap and 2 tooth brush and toothpaste. There is a water dispenser in the lobby near the lift if you want to refill. The aircon is cool. There is a small fridge which has no pre-filled beverage which is good so no extra charge. TV is facing the bed, so you can watch it from the bed. My room has a big bed that can sleepy 3-4 people. There are 2 tower, I stayed at tower 2. There is a swimming pool at level 7. Convenience for those go there to shop, u can drop your purchase at the room then continue Shopping.

Stayed at Miico Hotel Mount Austin previously and recently tried Miico Hotel Permas Jaya. The Permas Jaya branch is relatively new, so everything feels fresh and clean, which is a plus. The corridor ambience is calming with subtle decor and classical music, adding a nice touch to the overall experience. However, soundproofing is limited—I could hear conversations from the corridor and adjacent rooms. The room door was slightly stiff to open fully, and there was a mild unusual smell in the toilet. Occasional loud noises at night were also noticeable, likely from outside the hotel. Overall, a decent short stay with a pleasant atmosphere, but improvements in soundproofing and minor maintenance would enhance the experience.

Mixed Experience – Good Service Recovery but Initial Handling Could Be Better I recently stayed at Holiday Villa Johor Bahru City Centre and had a mixed experience. For the first two nights, we suspected the room was not properly cleaned as both my husband and I experienced continuous sneezing throughout the stay. I reported this to the front desk after the first night, but no action was taken or escalated. Unfortunately, we had to endure a second uncomfortable night before I raised the issue again to the duty manager. I must commend the duty manager for her prompt and decisive action — she arranged an immediate room change, which made a significant difference. This level of service recovery was appreciated. However, it is unclear why the initial concern was not escalated earlier by the front desk, which could have prevented unnecessary discomfort. On a positive note, when I fell sick during the stay, the front desk staff were thoughtful enough to send porridge and warm water to my room — a kind gesture that I truly appreciated. The hotel’s location is very convenient, and the breakfast selection varies daily, which is a plus. A special mention to the egg station staff — they were consistently friendly and attentive, handling every request with a smile even during busy periods. Check-out was smooth and efficient. Overall, while there were some lapses in initial handling, the service recovery and certain staff members’ efforts stood out.

The location of Tune Hotel is convenient, as it is not too far from the airport and Woodlands. In terms of service, it was generally satisfactory. However, it would be better if the hotel provided a telephone in the room so that guests can easily contact the staff. Alternatively, a WhatsApp number could be made available. Currently, it is quite inconvenient because guests need to go down to the reception every time an issue arises. On the day I checked in, unfortunately there was a water supply disruption. The hotel management should be more prepared for situations like this or at least provide spare water so that guests do not have to face difficulties when there is a disruption in the water supply.

Our family stays here often because the hotel offers great service, has lots of activities for kids, delicious food, and fun things to do. It's also super close to Legoland, making it perfect for a family trip! Highly recommend. 👍👍👍👍👍

Location is right next to CIQ. Avoid checking in on Friday evening as the roads leading to the hotel are jam-packed with traffic. Room is clean and big. You get a mini kitchen with microwave, sink with dish rack. Check in and out process is seamless. Parking can be confusing. Easier to self-park at the lobby, thigh the charges could be higher than the basement carpark. .

I had a wonderful stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and very professional. The check-in process was smooth, and the famous warm DoubleTree cookie made the arrival even more pleasant. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with a beautiful view of the city. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the well-maintained facilities. The housekeeping team did a great job keeping everything spotless. The hotel location is also very convenient, with easy access to nearby shopping malls, restaurants, and the CIQ checkpoint. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of options and the food quality was excellent. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru to anyone visiting Johor Bahru and look forward to staying here again in the future

5mins walk to CIQ. Komta shopping mall is just opposite the hotel. Taking grab from hotel is easy. Hotel room is facing Komta shopping mall is abit noisy as there is a pub beside the hotel. Live band singing is very loud and did not stop until 12 midnight. You can’t take a quick shower as you need to have patience to adjust the hot/cold tap to the right temperature otherwise you may get “burnt” from the hot water. We managed the water technique as we stayed the hotel for 2 nights. Hotel bed is comfy and the staff is very nice and helpful.

This hotel is located right on the Johor Strait, and from my room, I had a great view of the bridge connecting Malaysia and Singapore. Both the room and the bathroom were spacious and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was also excellent and plentiful. It's a grand hotel with a impressive feel, yet it's very well-managed. A tall young man at the front desk was particularly helpful; he even spoke Chinese, which made communication very smooth. Since the hotel is quite large, I wasn't sure where to park, and he personally escorted me to the parking lot behind the hotel. That was a really thoughtful gesture, and I'd like to express my gratitude to him here!
