Decided to have an impromptu one night stay at Holiday Villa JB during CNY - a hotel we have stayed at for a few times already. Slightly dated but still quite well maintained. The carpark ramps are the only scary thing - so narrow that most Singaporeans just opt for the 35RM per entry valet. Kalaivani at the Reception was really friendly and funny! They have very little double bed units but thankfully we got one. Due to CNY, fire crackers were being popped until almost 1am! Donât think this is a good option for families with small children who need to sleep early. Thanks for a good stay!
First time here and absolutely love the hotel
Very clean and great stuff
The rooms were a little small but overall still very good
Just 5 mins walk to mid valley mall
Breakfast was one of the best Iâve tried in Jb. Had so much of choices. And very nice too
Hotel delivered the request I put I
Will definitely go again
Very happy

Great boutique hotel. Has all the basic for a good stay for 1-2 nights. Usually spend weekends for a night here and is just opposite CIQ and train station and City Square JB.
So point to note thatâs itâs a boutique hotel and is comfortable. So donât expect too much.
My only peeve is that the shower is mounted on the wall and not the hand held type.
Other than that this place is great !

This is my third time staying here, and Iâm still satisfied with the service provided. The only downside this time was that the room didnât have a safety deposit box, and it was located on the first floor in the middle section, so it was quite noisy due to traffic and people hanging out by the roadside. If you want a quieter room, request one on the 2ndâ3rd floor at the end of the wing.
The hotel is quite nice with a reasonable price. The environment is beautiful, and the rooms are very clean and new. The only small downside is that the room is a bit small, but everything else is great. The lobby is also very comfortable, and the location is very convenient.

The room is quite spacious. They also allowed us to check out late at 1 pm. The breakfast was great, with many varieties, from nasi lemak, noodles, pancakes, an egg station, and many more.

Convenient location and nice view. Room is cosy and comfy for stay. However, the noise from the road can be quite disruptive but nonetheless it is still recommended given that the hotel is quite well maintained and the towels provided smell fresh and clean.
Plus point that the bagel breakfast place is just opposite the hotel.

My husband and I had a pleasant stay here! We were warmly greeted by receptionist Aini if Iâm not mistaken. We were extremely grateful when she gave is the early check in and birthday cake specially for my husbandâs birthday.
The room was extremely comfortable and the facilities provided by the hotel was amazing. To top it all off, the breakfast spread was too good to be true haha. The concept of having the infused and sugar syrup intrigued me!

Staffs were really good, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They answered all our questions and made sure everything went smoothly.
The hotel is clean and location is convenient, close to KSL. Below the hotel there is a small old school food court selling nice yummy hawker food. If you want extra decor for your room or event, it's available at an additional cost. Best to check with the hotel directly for what's offered and how much it is.
Photo attached is the simple decoration surprise for my hubby. Last but not least thank you the Dian, for the arrangement.

YYL_SnoopyIf you like a quiet, cosy place that give you a resort feel, then this hotel will be a good choice.
Initially booked this hotel is because wanting to try the Gem Spa, as previously I tried their other outlet which was very good. But sadly due to time constraints, we didn't manage to go the spa.
What I like about this hotel is, there is a hard rock within the hotel. So if you do not want to travel 15mins out, then you can actually chill and eat there.
The room is cosy but sadly that even I had booked the sea view, the view was not directly. I was allocated a room that faced the road and far right is the sea. But the plus point is I have a bathtub.
Overall the service is good, breakfast is average and the occupancy of the hotel is high but you do not feel crowded.
GGuest UserVisited this hotel years ago before Covid. Revisited after 7 years. No change to the overall look and feel. Feeling not too bad.
Location: Good near Bukit Indah Aeon. Difficult to come in given we now donât drive Bus network no good. Not coming in anytime soon.
Service: Good. Counter staff allow early check in and given us high floor.
Cleanliness: Good, basic stuff provided. Nothing fancy.
Room: Lightings is dim, not enough lighting. TV channels cannot load due to poor wifi. YouTube Netflix cannot watch too. A bit disappointed.
Breakfast: OK comes with Nasi Lemak, Noodles / Porridge section. Pastries and bread.
SsakiiiiiinahMagical mornings and sunsets, will definitely stay again. The dinner set could have been better, it was clearly indicated that a main, soup, drink and dessert would be about 35rm nett, but when we enquired, they said we had to add on for the dessert. It was clearly stated but i didn't feel like arguing because the food wasn't very great so I just left.
The receptionist and everyone else was good, breakfast was okay, no other complaints aside from the above.
TTzieqyI stayed together with my husband and child. The self check in was smooth. They provided very clear instructions for the check in. The room was clean and the pool view from the room was great. I love that the balcony is quite spacious. Their service is also good. Very prompt response from them.
The feedback I have is if possible, to get a parking lot that is nearer to the lobby entrance at level 5. And for the common room, maybe can rearrange the drawer cabinet away from the power socket because the current position, the cabinet is covering the socket thus we're unable to charge while in the room.
But these are minor issues. The most important thing is that I had a comfortable stay and it really is a great accommodation.
GGuest UserIt was very good experience as we stayed with families there. There were kids activities planned by Hotel staff. Nice pool but there is no slide or water park like thing. The location is nice as nearby there are lot of shops to buy anything you like. Itâs far from
Beach but there is shuttle bus to beach so no need to worry. Beach of Desaru is not so great ok types so you are not missing a lot by not staying on the beach. Hotel rooms and spacious and clean value for money for sure.
JJaymie SooThe good:
comfortable bed, decent cleanliness, working aircon, game console was cool, nice view at #48.
The bad:
Host expect you to contact them on the day else no sound no pic.
Sent a series of pictures and videos, shock to see they asked for deposit and my passport photo as part of their requirements. Iâm not comfortable with that.
Drivers beware: This unit located at B1-2 is damn troublesome. I had to park outside the gantry and walked all the way to the end of the building (approx 200m one way) to get the card. The guard werenât familiar with such arrangement had to call another guard over to assist in order to let me into the mailroom to retrieve the access card.
After that had to walk all the way back again to the entrance. When I drove to the gantry, the access card didnât work, guard had to come over again to assist. End up found out itâs because the previous user did not âtap outâ so we canât âtap inâ.
The wayfinding in the carpark is worse ever. Donât know where to go up, donât know where to exit. Turn round and round the entire carpark to find and realised itâs in the middle of nowhere.
Now for the accommodation itself, itâs decent. Towels were provided. No toothbrush provided but 8 combs provided instead (pic). The cups were damn disgusting (pic).
Overall will not return as the carpark and checkin experience was really a huge turnoff.
AAnonymous UserBest and Value for money!
Near to the city but difficult to find out car parking. Room not too spacious but complete with all of amenities. Kettle, linen and hair dryer provided. đ
Will come again!
AAdillawatiThis was my first stay at Sheraton Hotel Johor Bahru, and as someone who places a lot of value on customer service, the team genuinely exceeded my expectations. Across multiple departments, the staff consistently showed a positive attitude, thoughtful consideration, and a clear willingness to go the extra mile for guests.
During breakfast, staff regularly greeted us and checked in to see if we needed anything. Even during peak hours, another team member managed the lift flow smoothly so the lifts could be used more efficiently. I also appreciated how staff didnât just point us in a directionâthey guided and accompanied us to available tables, which made the whole experience feel warm and well-organised.
My family was especially tired after arriving late at night, and we were momentarily lost while trying to find the reception lobby on Level 5. The security guard responded to our questions with patience and grace, and that same welcoming energy continued during check-in. The guest relations officer answered my breakfast questions with such kindness and a big smileâeven when I was experiencing serious brain fog (lol!).
Itâs these small, consistent acts of careâpaired with genuine positivityâthat set this hotel apart.
I also completely understand how Sheraton Hotel Johor Bahru lives up to its reputation as a family-friendly hotel. We spotted the kiddie pool with water slides, and Mizan had an absolute blast splashing and playing there. The pool area itself felt thoughtfully plannedâwell laid out, with facilities that made it easy to enjoy the space while still feeling calm and relaxing.
The room delivered too, especially in comfort and cleanliness. The bed was incredibly inviting (the kind you immediately want to melt into), and the overall bedroom layout felt cozy and well designedâsimple, comfortable, and easy to settle into after a long day.
One more thoughtful touch that really stood out: the hotel even had a balloonist on-site creating balloon designs for the children. Honestlyâwhat family-friendly hotel goes the extra mile to do that? It was such a simple but brilliant idea, and you could see how much it delighted the kids. His balloons definitely made the young guests happy, and it added an extra layer of joy to the whole stay.
Unmatched customer service, family-friendly facilities, and cozy hotel rooms all in one place? Sheraton JB tops my list.
