The hotel is nice and the room was clean (except for the long black hair left all over floor in the bathroom). The breakfast is just a sandwich box, there is no coffee (just instant coffee). I would expect better.
The staff is not accommodating and never seems to be in a good mood. I was also asked several times to pre-check online. After the third email reminder, I tried and the system didn’t let me complete it. But you can be sure that when I showed up at the reception that is the first thing they asked. Why don’t you have a QR code?
Also, they charge you for lockers. I have never been in an hotel where luggage storage wasn’t complementary.
The experience could be different if they improve a few things.
Excellent hotel, especially for travelers arriving by train — the location directly connected to Okayama Station makes everything extremely convenient.
Rooms are spacious by Japanese standards, clean, and very comfortable. The staff was professional, polite, and efficient.
Breakfast was impressive with a wide selection and high quality products.
A perfect base for exploring Okayama and the surrounding area. Would definitely stay again.
Might be the worst hotel i've been to in Japan in terms of cleanliness and soundproofing (latter is actually non existent - you'll hear people talking and watching TV) - but the price was close to being free and location is extremely convenient. I won't chose this hotel next time, but if you sleep well and need a place to crush for a night - it's ok
The staff at the front desk were welcoming and attentive, and communication was seamless. The location is excellent, surrounded by numerous commercial areas, making it incredibly convenient for transportation. The hotel boasts a quiet ambiance and comprehensive, well-maintained facilities.
Facilities: Very well maintained.
Cleanliness: Spotless.
Environment: A 5-minute walk from Okayama Station, surrounded by shops and Izakayas (Japanese pubs).
Service: Very friendly and welcoming.
Via Inn Okayama was our 6th hotel on this journey, and its location honestly couldn’t have been better. Being directly connected to Okayama Station made everything very convenient — from getting around to grabbing daily necessities. There were even some supermarkets inside the station, which were super handy.
The lobby was on the 5th floor and already set the mood, with an amazing view overlooking the station and the city.
Our room was simple and comfortable, featuring a small double bed, a desk by the window, a chair, an air purifier, and a fairly new TV with YouTube and Netflix access — perfect for relaxing after a long day.
Space was a little tight when we opened our luggage, but it wasn’t a big issue. Even though the bathroom wasn’t very spacious, it still provided enough room to sit comfortably on the toilet, which we appreciated.
The real highlight was the view — an unblocked cityscape right from the room that made both mornings and nights extra special.
Convenient, comfortable, and memorable — Via Inn Okayama was a great stay right in the heart of the city.
The hotel is a bit of a walk from Kurashiki Station, and navigating the cobblestone paths through the scenic area can be quite tiring with luggage. On our return, we had the hotel arrange a taxi, which cost 1200 JPY.
The hotel grounds are beautiful, and its location right in the Bikan Historical Quarter makes shopping incredibly convenient. Rooms are clean and quite modern. Just be aware that if you select the 'Do Not Disturb' option, towels will not be replaced. The breakfast restaurant offers an elegant setting, primarily serving Japanese cuisine, and you can even take coffee to go after your meal.
Overall, it's a very high-quality hotel.
For cars that didn't fit in the hotel parking lot, there was a parking lot next door.
There was a shopping mall across the street, which was very convenient (*´∀`*)
The room was clean and comfortable, but the fact that the bed sheets weren't zippered was a bit of a concern since I was staying for several nights.
The amenities were excellent and very helpful.
I was able to use various shampoos and conditioners, and I felt like I was able to recover from the fatigue of my business trip.
Breakfast was delicious ^_^
Please see the photos I've included.
Both the location and the room size of the hotel are good. Staff were accommodating and efficient. My friend enjoyed the onsen and we had a good stay in the hotel.
We stayed in a deluxe corner double room for one night. There was nothing to block the view in the corner room on the 11th floor and the view was good. The room was too large to see the large TV. King size beds, furniture and lights are also nice. Air purifier, hair dryer, room clothes and bathrobe, wash towels, 2 types of face towels, bath towels, foot wipe mat are prepared, shampoo conditioner body soap The soap soap soap bath oil soap skin care is also very substantial. The bathtub, toilet, shower, and washroom are all independent, and the shower in the shower room is an ordinary shower in addition to the fixed type of upper, upper, lower, upper, left, and lower left. I used Kishinagora. Toothbrushes and room clothes for children are also prepared and cute! I made a plan with breakfast, but I was so satisfied with the menu lineup that I couldn't eat lunch. It was a short walk to the Bikan Historical Quarter, so I extended my legs twice, but there were no tourists in the early morning of 6:00 and I enjoyed the scenery of Qing 々. It is a 10-minute walk from Kurashiki Station, a 5-minute walk to Bikan Historical Quarter, and a 2-minute walk to Family Mart. It is an inn that I want to repeat.

MMomomomoweimoThe location is superb, very close to the station! Right outside, there's a large supermarket just down a small path. It's also very close to the Bikan Historical Quarter, and there's a popular tonkatsu restaurant nearby that always has a long queue.
The room was small, actually the smallest of the five hotels I booked on this trip.
The shower came with a bathtub, and the drain was a bit clogged.
I left something behind at the hotel, and they kindly helped send it to my next hotel. Many thanks!
2207515****Just a 3-4 minute walk from Kurashiki Station South Exit, this hotel has a lovely European resort style. For a Monday, a twin room at only 330 yen is incredible value for money! The room was quite spacious, and the large public bath in the basement was also very roomy, complete with free massage chairs. You can buy tickets for the Ohara Museum of Art at the front desk for 100 yen less than at the entrance. Plus, there's an affordable supermarket right across from the hotel that's open until 11 PM – perfect for grabbing groceries! I bought a bunch of late-night snacks and breakfast for the next day, all for less than 1500 yen.
FFerfer8We are a family travelling with 3 kids so we drive a car, and factored in luggage space.
1) Vessel hotel has hands-down one of the best beds ever! We checked and realised it was a Simmons mattress so the beds really offered us deep & restful sleep!! Love this!
2) The carpark was right outside the hotel so it was super convenient not having to walk up & down diff storeys to take things from car. We returned to hotel ard 10pm on 1 night & there were no more parking lots! We’d have to park at a multi-storey building that was 12mins walk away, which wld have been v convenient.
3) The breakfast was yummy. We went in summer & enjoyed the Barazushi (Okayama special during festivals) & the rice was sweet, salty, flavourful, and delicious with prawn, eggs, eel, lotus roots (see pic). Really yummy! Try it
4) Hotel staff were very helpful! We asked for an extra luggage stand so we wldnt need to bend too low & they brought it immediately.
5) There’s a big supermarket just across the road with cheap groceries that we stocked up on for our road trip.
6) If you intend to drive, this is a highly recommend hotel in Kurashiki!! Wld stay here again! It was great!
SSiren500It's hard to describe...
1. The facilities are old. In addition to the two sockets on the table, there is one at the door of the toilet, and the main point is that you forget to take it away. They sell everything under the concept of environmental protection, water is 100, various vending machines, and toothbrushes and toothpaste are taken downstairs.
2. The bathroom bar is definitely cleaner than in China, maybe because it's old. Anyway, the table and bedspread look a bit uncomfortable. I ordered a big bed, and the bedspread made my butt itch after using it for a while
3. It's far away from Okayama, 20 minutes walk, mainly because the road is bumpy all the way there, it's really not friendly to pull a big suitcase. From the hotel to the nearby dining place is basically equivalent to walking back to the station. Even the convenience store is less than 10 minutes away, which is definitely not the distance to buy water in slippers and coats.
4. I spent a long time looking for the name when I checked in, and I met a wave of business meeting guests. Who said Japan is quiet?
If it's a good place, it includes breakfast, and the variety is quite rich. Early in the morning, curry rice, French bread and coffee...

JJonathonUNO Hotel is an immaculate well run hotel on the Tamano waterfront. The staff are friendly and professional and the food choices are outstanding. Rooms are spacious and well designed in a quiet area for a great night’s sleep.
There was nothing to fault. This js an outstanding choice for visiting Naoshima. It is a 3 minute walk to the ferry terminal before a 20 minute journey to the island

FFilm_iroThank you for this time.
The front staff are kind and polite.
It was a good impression.
Shops and pubs that you want to go to near the station
That area is convenient.
As soon as you open the door of the guest room, there is only a bed space.
I feel as safe as if I was sleeping in a closet.
I really appreciate this price just for sleeping.
Surrounding sounds can be heard even if they are small.
The downside is that I can't help but be careful.
It may not be possible due to the structure.
The shower room is also clean
I had a good time using it.
Once you understand what it is
I was convinced that it was okay for this price.
I will use it again.
thank you very much.
GGOHEL1.. Booked 3 single rooms and room is way too small. hardly any space to walk within and no room for luggage.
2. No toiletries unless purchase from front desk.
3. Kind of surprising to see such offer.
