The hotel did not live up to the expectations from what I saw online. The room was clean, but the shower floors the floor of the bathroom and the room had a faint smell of possibly cigarettes or mildew.
I was looking forward to using the pool, especially after seeing the videos, but the water was green and murky, so I didn’t go in.
There’s a restaurant on the 8th floor with a view, but it was closed the few times I went up, and when I finally found it open I went up to take photos but there were signs that said I would be charged 100,000 Kip if I came in and didn’t order anything. I’m not sure if this rule applies to hotel guests, but it didn’t specify.
The staff at the hotel was extremely friendly and kind. They let us check out an hour late past our late 2pm check out because our train was leaving after 4. That was very accommodating of them.
If the hotel had been rated 3 stars, I probably wouldn’t have any complaints other than the pool since the cost to stay there was low. If you’re looking for a solid, reasonably priced 2-3 star hotel, I would recommend it. If you’re looking want something nicer, try another hotel.
Upon check-in, we found a few hairs and large white flakes resembling dandruff on the sheets. After contacting the hotel, they immediately changed the sheets and added a duvet cover. We were quite tired from our journey and didn't dwell on it too much, but travelers with high hygiene standards might want to reconsider booking here.
Also, there was a slight leak under the sink. If there are many guests, there won't be any hot water left until 9 PM; you have to wait for the water heater to boil again before you can take a hot shower.
The hotel itself was fine in terms of environment and service; they were generally responsive, and the staff were quite friendly and polite. However, the biggest problem came from a hostel next door. They held an outdoor party every night on weekdays, starting around 8:30 PM and continuing until after 11 PM (if it weren't for local laws considering 11 PM a disturbance, they could have stayed even later). The constant DJing, karaoke, screaming, and jeering were deafening. The worst part was that the music, singing, and DJ voices were extremely unpleasant; if the music were good, it wouldn't be so bad. In short, guests who require a quiet sleeping environment or want to go to bed early can consider whether to book this room. However, the hotel staff are very cooperative in resolving issues; the main problem is the noise from the hostel next door.
Finally, the mountain view rooms at the hotel have a very nice view, even more beautiful on a clear day.
Great hotel! It's on the outskirts of town, but still close to everything. Breakfasts are simple but delicious. The staff is very friendly. The pool is gorgeous; I loved spending time there. And, of course, the mountain views are incredible. The only downside is that there's a pub nearby, and there can be loud music in the evenings. Otherwise, everything was great, thank you!

If you're somewhat prepared for what to expect in Vang Vieng, Laos, then you should have a positive impression of this hotel. The staff can communicate in English, but even if you don't speak English, a translation app on your phone will suffice. The service attitude is excellent, and breakfast is good. The best part is that the hotel is right next to the hot air balloon launch site, so you can watch the balloons ascend, which is a beautiful sight. The hot water supply is plentiful. However, if you have high standards for cleanliness, I recommend bringing your own travel sleeping bag liner. When traveling to Laos, it's actually something you should prepare, and it's a point I realized I missed, even in Luang Prabang. There are small ants, which is unavoidable, so don't leave leftover beer or fruit on the table. All in all, as long as you're prepared, you'll be fine choosing this hotel. Oh, and finding it is absolutely not an issue.

The room was very clean and spacious, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Most of them could speak Chinese, which was a big plus. Breakfast was also delicious. The only downside was that the pool water looked like it hadn't been cleaned, so we couldn't swim. This might have been because it had just rained that day. Overall, I would still highly recommend this place. Just a heads-up, the central bar plays music at night, and while the soundproofing in the rooms is decent, light sleepers might find it a bit bothersome.

Excellent! The Wi-Fi speed was very fast. The facilities were very complete, and everything was very clean. The environment was beautiful, and the service was very attentive. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Vang Vieng. Highly recommended, thumbs up!
The hotel is located 2.7 km from Vang Vieng High-Speed Rail Station, and they offer a pickup service. The surroundings are pleasant, breakfast is included, and the service is warm and attentive, providing excellent value for money. It felt very homely, relaxed, and secure, creating a truly comfortable atmosphere. On the left side of the road leading towards the high-speed rail station, you'll find a local BBQ joint. Their grilled lamb with Lao beer offers authentic local flavors and is both inexpensive and delicious.

This hotel is well located. The staff is very friendly. There was a Vietnamese guy who was helping me to book many things. I booked a single room with partially view to the mountains, then they said that if I stayed one more night they could upgrade my room for a Deluxe room for the same price and OMG the new room had jacuzzi, balcony and FULL view to the mountains. It was impressive! This deluxe room was lovely, AC and internet worked fine. I appreciated this. The breakfast was included and they have a lot of variety. They also have coffee machine and you can get cappuccinos. They give you water and soap in the rooom. They also cleaned my shoes after a muddy hike I did. I think I would stay here again if I come back to Vang Vieng. The first photos are from the single room. The photos from the deluxe room start from the photo where you can see the road from above. I recommend this hotel and if you can stay in the deluxe one you won't regret!!! Thank to the staff! The last two photos were taken with my phone from the deluxe room.

GGuest UserMixed Experience – Not Ideal for Solo Travelers
I recently stayed at this resort and had a very mixed experience. First, the location is quite inconvenient if you’re planning to visit the main attractions—it’s about a 30-minute walk or you’ll need to spend extra on rides like InDrive. There are no nearby convenience stores either, so plan ahead.
The resort seems better suited for large groups rather than solo travelers or couples. There is an onsite restaurant, but the menu is limited. We had a buffet lunch on the first day, but after that, it switched to a fixed menu with three options—unclear what determines the change.
The atmosphere can be a bit noisy, especially with large tour groups. During my stay, there were many Chinese tourists who were loud and partied late into the night, which could be a downside for light sleepers or those unfamiliar with that travel style.
The rooms themselves are decent, but there are some issues. Ants and moths appear at night, so it’s best to keep food and drinks sealed or in the fridge and turn off lights when not in use. Water is provided daily, but room cleaning is only done upon request. Also, Wi-Fi doesn’t reach the rooms at the far end of the resort—something to keep in mind if you rely on connectivity.
There is a swimming pool, but it wasn’t particularly inviting due to insects in the water—I didn’t see anyone use it during my stay. On the bright side, the view of the mountains is beautiful and offers a peaceful backdrop.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you’re traveling with a group, don’t mind extra commuting, and are okay with basic amenities and some nature-related inconveniences.

GGuest UserVang Vieng Anan Riverview Hotel - The room was pretty standard, and the facilities were quite old. The bedding looked a bit dirty and yellowish. The owner doesn't speak Chinese. The main advantage is that it's cheap and conveniently located.
YYollandiLet me tell you, this hotel deserves to pay its staff triple! Khamla truly went above and beyond to make sure I had an amazing stay, and her kindness left me speechless. Honestly, when I first arrived, I thought, “Oh no, I’m canceling my booking right now.” But thankfully, they let me see the room before check-in and even offered a full refund if I wasn’t satisfied. In the end, I decided to stay for the two nights since I figured it would be okay.
Now, I won’t lie—the exterior of the hotel looks a bit worn, but don’t let that fool you! Inside, it’s spotless and conveniently located near a plethora of restaurants, bars, and tourist attractions. I booked an exhilarating hot air balloon ride for $120 through the hotel for the next day, and it was absolutely unforgettable.
I also had my heart set on visiting the Nahm Xai viewpoint but didn’t want to venture out alone. The staff went out of their way to help me find an English-speaking tour guide, and when that didn’t pan out, Khamla from the front desk stepped in. She graciously offered to be my guide on her day off! She hiked with me up to the viewpoint, snapped photos, and made sure I was safe and sound every step of the way.
In the end, I couldn't have been happier with my decision to stay. The service here is truly top tier, making this hotel experience one I won’t forget!
Jjons02Great Value with Excellent Service & Prime Location
The room was clean and comfortable for the price—definitely not a luxury hotel, but the service felt luxurious! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the receptionist went above and beyond to help, even arranging a tuk-tuk for me to the railway station at checkout.
One of the best perks was the convenience—the hotel offers bike and scooter rentals, as well as a variety of day tours. Whether you're interested in paramotoring, hot air balloon rides, kayaking, hiking, or exploring caves and lagoons, they’ve got you covered. If you’d rather book elsewhere, the location is perfect, with plenty of tour operators right next door.
The area is packed with different restaurants, and my personal favorite, the night market, was just steps away. There are also several laundry services nearby, making longer stays hassle-free.
The only downside was noise—the walls and doors are a bit thin, so you might hear doors closing or noisy neighbors. My room was on the first floor (right side), so if you're a light sleeper, I’d recommend requesting a quieter spot away from high-traffic areas.
Overall, a fantastic stay for the price, with outstanding service and an unbeatable location!
ps. You can also enjoy a quick swim by the pool before going to your room!
