I didn’t get to swim because I had such a busy itinerary however the stuff was amazing! And the hotel was ok however they need to clean the bathroom, it smells like piss! I think people just pee on the floor, the hotel room is better when the door is closed. You can travel around with ease to do activities.

We had a comfortable stay. The hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants and bars. The view from the bedroom is pretty and it also has a nice pool. The breakfast was simple, but delicious.

This hotel is well located. The staff is very friendly. There was a Vietnamese guy who was helping me to book many things. I booked a single room with partially view to the mountains, then they said that if I stayed one more night they could upgrade my room for a Deluxe room for the same price and OMG the new room had jacuzzi, balcony and FULL view to the mountains. It was impressive! This deluxe room was lovely, AC and internet worked fine. I appreciated this. The breakfast was included and they have a lot of variety. They also have coffee machine and you can get cappuccinos. They give you water and soap in the rooom. They also cleaned my shoes after a muddy hike I did. I think I would stay here again if I come back to Vang Vieng. The first photos are from the single room. The photos from the deluxe room start from the photo where you can see the road from above. I recommend this hotel and if you can stay in the deluxe one you won't regret!!! Thank to the staff! The last two photos were taken with my phone from the deluxe room.

There is so many good things that can be said. If you are looking for natural beauty only a minute away from the city this is it. Coupled with the most helpful staff I have ever experienced in line with The Taj in India. Over the top help and professionalism. Great pool and spa. Big rooms, comfortable bed. Tasty food at restaurant. And more …!

The Phubarn hotel was one of the best hotels of our trip to Laos. It was recently built or renovated, has a well trained and forthcoming staff with moderate to exzellent command of English. . The room was very clean, well equipped with a wonderful view on the mountains. Breakfast was very good, both Chinese and European Continental. The pool is great, with a waterfall and a great view. The only setback is the direct view on the Nam Song river, where often the motorboats with the tourists pass by. But this is offset by the superb view and modernity of the hotel. It is also situated in the vicinity of many pubs and travel agencies. All in all it it great value for money and may be on the way to become the No.1 hotel in Vang Vienh.

The hotel is on the main street, so traffic until late night. Even if I had asked a quiet room (I know it is not guaranteed) I was given a room over the main street and the funny thing is that the window door was not closing so all the noise was entering, together with smells (pollution and smoke from different fires). Apart from this, room was clean and comfortable. Smell from the bathroom where, in the shower, you only have the tall and fix shower head meaning you cannot just wash your feet if in need, every time you have to take a shower. Unfortunately staff was not so helpful (anyway polite). Pool always in the shade.

The hotel's location is fantastic; it's just a short walk to 7-Eleven and Happy Mango, and there are laundromats conveniently located nearby! It's also arguably one of the cleaner hotels in Vang Vieng, and the front desk staff can speak Chinese. The bedding was cleaner than at my previous hotel, and you can even catch glimpses of hot air balloons. I personally found it to be excellent value for money. Admittedly, the rooms aren't particularly stylish or beautiful, but it's a clean, affordable, and high-value option right in Vang Vieng's city center.

GGuest UserFeel like having fresh mango for breakfast? The fruit selection at the buffet is epic. They have fresh coffee and mango smoothies. The rooms are beautiful, amazing view, bottled water, toothbrushes, even face towels. Quiet air conditioning and there's a ceiling fan too. The beds are comfortable - we got a triple room with 3 single beds- and the power points are right next to the beds. Overall, our favourite hotel for the trip. Oh and the pool is great. We spent an afternoon drinking beer on the beach chairs and swimming. *We got our own tuktuk back to the train station for 30k each instead of the 50k offered by the hotel.

TTravel Loves CindyI had an absolutely wonderful stay at Lisha Riverside Hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, attentive, and made me feel right at home. The location is stunning—nestled peacefully along the river, with breathtaking views that added a special charm to each morning. Whether you’re looking for relaxation or a base to explore the area, Lisha Riverside Hotel delivers exceptional value and genuine hospitality. I can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be returning!

Jjns02Great Value with Excellent Service & Prime Location The room was clean and comfortable for the price—definitely not a luxury hotel, but the service felt luxurious! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the receptionist went above and beyond to help, even arranging a tuk-tuk for me to the railway station at checkout. One of the best perks was the convenience—the hotel offers bike and scooter rentals, as well as a variety of day tours. Whether you're interested in paramotoring, hot air balloon rides, kayaking, hiking, or exploring caves and lagoons, they’ve got you covered. If you’d rather book elsewhere, the location is perfect, with plenty of tour operators right next door. The area is packed with different restaurants, and my personal favorite, the night market, was just steps away. There are also several laundry services nearby, making longer stays hassle-free. The only downside was noise—the walls and doors are a bit thin, so you might hear doors closing or noisy neighbors. My room was on the first floor (right side), so if you're a light sleeper, I’d recommend requesting a quieter spot away from high-traffic areas. Overall, a fantastic stay for the price, with outstanding service and an unbeatable location! ps. You can also enjoy a quick swim by the pool before going to your room!

WWarren McLoughlinDO NOT STAY HERE! If you read the reviews you will see that many people complain about items being stolen from there bags. I have a strong suspicion this is the cleaners and instead of cleaning they are going through people’s bags. Upon check in we were warned by the receptionist not to leave any valuables in our room and to take them everywhere with us. Which is not what you want to hear at check in. Anyways luckily we listened to the receptionist as we had seen concerning reviews before staying here. Without surprise our bags had been gone through. Luckily nothing was stolen from us as we were smart enough to remove our valuables. However, still leaving an unsettling feeling knowing items were moved in our bags as they got searched, they even left the zipper in the incorrect position after as seen in the image. Despite this issue there were also a lot of ants in our room and the room wasn’t properly cleaned any time the cleaners entered the room as there were stains left on the counters and floors and I expect the cleaners were too busy trying to steal stuff. Despite these issues it is not the worst place and the location is good but I think if they just got new trustworthy cleaners then this place would be so much better.

GGuest Userfine for a short term stay. wouldn't call it a resort, but it does have a pool. the rooms are not like on the Trip booking site, only. few select rooms seem to have gotten a renovation. Te staff however is super friendly and let us move to an upper deck room. the room itself is very old and a bit stuffy. bathroom is super old but was fine for a couple of days. The pool os nice and clean, never too crowded. Breakfast is also fine, nothing special, but the hotel is a close 8min walk to the center where there are plenty of cute and cheap coffeeshops
