"We returned to Escapades as a family and once again loved the overall experience. The vibe is fantastic, the swimming pool is a real highlight, and the accommodation is stylish and comfortable. That said, the restaurant service could use a little fine tuning. We had a vegan in our party who ordered the vegan roast in The Gallery, as listed on the menu. Unfortunately, it was initially served with a large Yorkshire pudding, non vegan gravy, and vegetables that had not been separated from the buttered options served to the rest of the table. On a positive note, the roast beef was excellent. The vegan dish was taken away and corrected quickly, which we appreciated. Overall, a great stay with just a small area for improvement in the dining experience."

"Stayed here for a convention. It's an absolutely fine place to stay. The room was a little old fashioned but very clean and cool - the shower was great. It's not anywhere central, but fine if you don't mind ordering in for dinner or getting food there (it will be a bit pricey). Staff was pleasant, seemed a little understaffed but nothing that ruined anything too much. Breakfast was great quality and covers all the essentials to choose from. The choice of rooms for the convention is great, so much space in all the areas! Never had a problem with neighbor noise. Overall, recommended. Nothing spectacular but still a good choice."

Private island retreat meets English country escape on the river Thames in Bray- Berkshire. Follow in the footsteps of monks and monarchs- writers and composers at Monkey Island Estate. From humble beginnings as a medieval monastery- this private island on the river Thames became an aristocratic retreat - reinvented today as a boutique hotel. The rooms- suites and guest cottages evoke the individual style of the eighteenth century villa- while remaining comfortable and contemporary. This theme continues within the main buildings- where a Grade 1-listed room featuring quirky frescoes from the 1730s has been transformed into a snug lounge and whisky bar. Monkey Island Estate is a Small Luxury Hotels of the World property. A discretionary Service Charge of 5% of room rate will be applied to all reservations.

"Had a great stay on this wonderful private island. Perfect for couples. Splurge on the Temple Terrace Rooms if it is within your budget. Rooms are small, but that is to be expected as the buildings are from days of old, though nicely restored and maintained. Enjoyed our meals and the drinks at the bar. Also had lovely hour out on the Thames with the rented boat that easily accomodates 6 people. Such an oasis of quiet and luxury. Very close to the Michelin fine dining village of Bray. I would return without hesitation."

"This hotel looks beautiful from outside with a lovely ground and impressive entrance, but however, I found the room & common area not so impressive they need to give it a face lift to deserve the room rate. Especially with a high bathtub it’s quite dangerous as it’s slippery when you step into it to have a shower, even with the rubber mat on it , luckily I brought along my rubber slipper, which I can use to have a shower to prevent from slipping . Our room included breakfast, buffet table selection of food were poor, and the quality of food was not great even with basic smoke salmon it looks stale & the cooked breakfast was ok not impressive. The front desk reception staff were not helpful with problem . But the manager at the front desk was very helpful when we checked out , after hearing our comments about the problem he took note said he’ll look into the problem & told us to contact him when decide to stay with them next time. I do appreciate his helpfulness & trying to make the best of the situation, Cliveden Hotel should treasure him as the hotel manager."

"The greeting at reception is great and they were very helpful. Room is a good size and the bathroom felt a little dated. No air conditioning but a fan was provided. This weekend was the second time I stayed at the Leonardo in Milton Keynes. I booked a few weeks earlier and locked in a very good price on Trip. I chose the Leonardo because it was a fabulous stay last time with a very good breakfast. This time I stayed in a double room and it was bigger than I expected. I stayed in room 601 and it was an end room and overlooked the big Leonardo red banner on the outside of the building. I had a very good view of the city from the room. The room had a window that opened and a TV. I had a very good bathroom with great products. The towels were really clean and fluffy. There was T and coffee in the room. Plenty of space. I had sockets next to the bed for my phone. I had a great nights sleep. Bed was so comfy. Slept brilliant. I had breakfast for the 3 nights I stayed and it was excellent. Plenty of room in the restaurant and not overcrowded at breakfast. The staff were very attentive for the whole of my stay. There was a free water fountain down in the foyer and it was a mega hot weekend so this was great. There is also somewhere for baggage storage if you want to visit the fantastic shopping centre that’s not far away. The hotel It’s about a 10 min walk from the train station. Great if you are visiting London there are loads of trains and it’s quick. I chose to stay at the Leonardo because it’s a very comfy stay as London prices are so expensive. There are lots of great restaurants near by so it’s great for an evening out. It’s a lot quieter than central London therefore much better for my senior solo adventures. The images I e uploaded are the walk from the station, the room after I stayed in it! The bathroom the bottled accessories in the bathroom so you know what to expect, the views from my window, sunsets and the bed after I slept in it. A very great stay and highly recommended. I went to London every morning, went to the British museum , ham house, Tracey Emin at Tate Modern and shopping .

I stayed in Holiday Inn for the second time. I stayed in room 301. The room was very clean and tidy. It had a bigger than expected bathroom with good mirrors and a bath. The toiletries were good. It was very busy in the hotel and the breakfast was very busy with families. The breakfast was Ok the cooked breakfast was hot but the sweet pastries were limited. The range of cold meats was good. The fruit was good. The coffee was good. The breakfast spice was good. I did not use the health facilities. The bar was busy and I had to wait to buy a soft drink. The range of food on offer was good. I really enjoyed my stay at holiday inn. The service was good and I liked the luggage store facilities. These were free. The locality is good for food outlets and there is a large shopping mall opposite the hotel. It takes 18 mins to walk to the station. There was a marathon on while I stayed. So it was busy everywhere. The images shown here are of the spaces inside the hotel to eat, my breakfast, the free water, and the foyer space. I would stay here again. It’s only 47 mins to London and it’s a great price and a quiet hotel compared to London prices. Mexicans living in London were celebrating Cinco de Mayo outside the National gallery today and it was really great! The Milton Keynes marathon was also on today!

Overall, we felt this hotel offered really good value for money, especially considering the location. It was a convenient base for visiting Windsor and the surrounding areas, while being noticeably more affordable than many of the hotels closer to the town centre. For anyone planning a short stay around Windsor, we think this is a practical and budget-friendly option. The room itself was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. We particularly appreciated the privacy of the curtains, which blocked the light well and made it easier to rest properly. The bed and duvet were also very comfortable, and overall the atmosphere felt quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. Check-in and check-out were straightforward, and the general experience was smooth and hassle-free. Another positive point was the convenience of the location. It was easy to drive to nearby attractions and restaurants, and having parking available made the trip much less stressful. Compared with accommodation prices in Windsor itself, this felt like a much better-value choice without being too far away. The only area we felt could be improved was the carpet in the room and hallway. It seemed a little old and worn, and in some areas it looked slightly dirty, which affected the overall impression of cleanliness. The room itself generally felt tidy, but replacing or deep-cleaning the carpets would probably make the hotel feel much fresher and more modern.

From the moment we arrived at Danesfield House, we were treated extremely well. All of the staff were very helpful and could not do enough for us, even carrying our luggage to our room. Our room had a beautiful view over the river Thames and hotel gardens and the four poster bed was lovely and comfortable. The bathroom was lovely and clean and their were plenty of towels and toiletries. I had booked a treatment in the Spa for my wife and all of the staff were amazing. The Spa itself was very nice, and although the jacuzzi was out of action, this did not spoil the experience at all. Finally, our breakfast was wonderful. We were greeted and shown to our seats immediately. Our order was taken for our choice of breakfast by a lovely waitress and coffee and toast was brought to us by an absolutely wonderful waiter who had the biggest smile that never left his face the entire time we were in the restaurant. He was extremely polite and just made you smile with his infectious enthusiasm for the ”fabulous filter coffee” and the ”terrific toast” (his words, not mine) that he served us. I just wish I had his name to include with this review as he deserves a special mention. Overall it was a fantastic experience and the right choice of hotel to celebrate my wife's birthday. We will definitely be coming back.

Lovely stay on a Monday night at Crazy Bear Beaconsfield. Only English restaurant was open so marked down the amenities as didn't really use others aside from the restaurant, bar and room. There is a lovely looking pool. Service was good. Mixup with our steak order was quite easily resolved however ended up with a cut of steak I didn't want. Would recommend booking restaurant time before 7pm as between 5-6.45 pm you get 25% off your total bill including alcoholic drinks. Would recommend offering prosecco on the menu. As cheapest champagne was around £100 so on the pricey side in general to eat and drink.

The location is perfect. Parking and other facilities such as gym and pool are free. The room is really nice and there wardrobe has enough space for clothing and storing luggage. The room doesn't have an AC so it does get very hot during hot weather. Inside the wardrobe is a fan which can be used to keep the room cool. There is no fridge in the room to keep some of the drinks cool. Overall good hotel for the price and location.
