Stayed here for 2 nights. I would to thank Ms Diana Zhao, Ms Lisa Wu, and Ms Sunny Ye at the front desk for going the extra mile. They expedited the check in and check out process, helped me with the carpark charges, recommended local food around the area, asked if room service was satisfactory, and highlighted some local attractions. Thanks again !

The walking street is very convenient, with lots of food, shops, and entertainment options. Food delivery is also super fast. The staff are very friendly and responsive, always ready to answer questions and even recommend cherry blossom viewing spots. The smart room is very clean and hygienic. The projector screen is huge, perfect for watching videos from your phone, and the staff even provide detailed instructions on how to set it up.

The new hotel has a grand lobby design, and the staff are warm and attentive. The rooms are spacious and odor-free, especially the bathroom, which is very spacious. The smart toilet is clean enough, and the toiletries are of good quality, leaving the skin feeling soft and comfortable after use. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, offers a wide variety of dishes, and the food is quite delicious, especially the noodles, which are served very quickly! It's a pity I didn't take any pictures!

Facilities: The front desk is on the 8th floor, and the lounge area next to it is very spacious. I booked two king rooms this time; the corner room was huge, and the bathroom in the standard king room was exceptionally large. Cleanliness: Good. Service: I was able to request a late check-out until 1 PM. The service attitude was excellent. Environment: Downstairs is a pedestrian street, which is very convenient.

The hotel boasts a grand and elegant design. Although it opened in 2010 (and was renovated in 2020), the interior facilities are meticulously maintained and show no signs of age. The mini-bar is chargeable, but the front desk kindly provided two complimentary drink vouchers upon check-in, which was a nice touch. During my stay, there were a few minor hiccups (such as an opened bath salt from a previous guest not being replaced, and an empty lotion bottle not being refilled), but thankfully, the responses were very prompt. A special thanks to Leah at the front desk for her help! 🌹 The most delightful part of my stay was undoubtedly the Executive Lounge. It wasn't crowded, so it was quiet, and tables were cleared very quickly. The food selection was impressive. Dining there offered close-up views of the river, which was a wonderful experience. Breakfast the next day was also quite good, with a decent spread of Chinese, Western, pastries, and fruits – everything you'd expect. Overall, both the hotel's amenities and service are excellent, living up to their expected standards. However, given its age, some facilities and items inevitably show a bit of wear and tear (like the bathtub in the room or the dining plates in the restaurant). There's still room for improvement in some minor details, but generally, it was a very good experience.

Wuhan Donghu Hotel is truly a hidden gem within the city, a forest sanctuary where shimmering lake waters intertwine with verdant trees, ancient famous trees abound, and cherry blossoms adorn the branches. It's a natural oxygen bar, with stunning views everywhere you look, truly a top-tier garden resort. The front desk, room staff, and shuttle drivers were all warm, thoughtful, and highly responsive to every request. The breakfast buffet offered a rich variety of dishes and was well-balanced nutritionally. The guest rooms were fully equipped, making for a very comfortable stay. This trip was definitely worthwhile, and I look forward to visiting again.

We chose this hotel for our Chinese New Year trip, and it was very kid-friendly! The staff even prepared amenities for children. The lobby had a strong New Year atmosphere, and the staff were very kind to the little ones. The surrounding area has complete facilities, making it easy to take the kids out. The front desk service was also incredibly warm and welcoming, and the location is super convenient, right next to Wanda Plaza, so shopping and dining are just a stone's throw away. The hotel facilities are also comprehensive. Highly recommended!

No wonder it consistently ranks among the top hotels in Wuhan! Shuiyunlan Hotel boasts an excellent location, nestled in the bustling heart of Jianghan Road, making it incredibly convenient for getting around, dining, and sightseeing. The hotel's ambiance is refined and elegant, creating a truly atmospheric experience. The service is exceptionally thoughtful and meticulous, with complimentary health-boosting floral teas and delicate snacks offered – a really warm touch. The guest rooms are spacious and airy, quiet and comfortable, perfect for unwinding or even practicing some Baduanjin in your downtime. The entire staff is warm and courteous, treating guests like family, ensuring a genuine 'home away from home' feeling. Definitely my top choice for a stay in Wuhan!

This hotel truly offers excellent amenities. We only spent a few hundred RMB, but it felt like a full-blown vacation – such great value for money! The Southeast Asian-style lobby is beautiful and perfect for photos. Our room was very spacious, and we could even enjoy tea on the balcony. My favorite part was the hot spring area; there were so many varieties, and the wave pool was a blast. My child had an incredibly fun afternoon there. On top of that, the breakfast spread was incredibly rich, and there were so many parent-child activities we couldn't possibly try them all. They even had a foreign staff member operating a trendy mini-train and unique activities like making intangible cultural heritage lacquer fans – clearly, a lot of thought and effort went into making the stay special. The front desk staff had a wonderful service attitude, and we even got a discount on breakfast. The overall experience was simply phenomenal!

SShalinda WIf you don’t speak the local language, I do not recommend staying at this hotel. It was incredibly difficult getting both on, and off the mountain “scenic area”. Some hotels in Trip reached out to us in advance to help coordinate transportation, this one does not. Your only way to contact the hotel is by calling, which isn’t feasible if you don’t speak the language. The hotel website showed that parking was available, so I thought we would be able to get there by DiDi, as long as I paid the fee to get the car into the park. This was not the case. We did see private vehicles, but I’m not sure what goes into that, but I believe 4 wheel drive is one requirement. So with our luggage, he dropped us off at the base of the mountain. It took a little while to get to the ticket office, you have to walk up several stairs and through a cobblestone market to get there, so we got nice and sweaty and uncomfortable. From there, you take a bus (ours had no underside luggage stowage) about halfway up to another stop. We had to awkwardly hold our luggage in the aisle of a full bus, while going up-hill and doing switch-backs. Everyone gets off about halfway-way up, at a station with several different buses. We asked for help and someone pointed us to the correct one. From the final bus stop up top, it was a short walk to the hotel. We figured going down would be much smoother, but after getting off the first bus, we accidentally got on the wrong one and started going back up. Overall, took us about 2.5 hours from the airport to the hotel, then just over three hours from hotel to the HSR station. Minor descriptions for the room were inaccurate. Ours was listed as on floor 3 or 4, it was actually basement level. The hotel is in the edge of the mountain, so it still had a scenic view. The window in our room was dirty (I expected more for what we were paying). The hand soap in the bathroom was in a re-used bottle and was watered down. Listed amenities said sauna and massage room, there are neither here (nor was there an offer of other local places to go when I asked). The breakfast food was amazing, including a hot, fresh bar with a chef making eggs and noodles. I wasn’t able to partake in the noodles one day because of the language barrier. Hotel staff was more hesitant than other places we’ve stayed in using translation tools and I felt like too much of an inconvenience in using them to ask for noodles. There is bottled water in the rooms, you can ask for more for free (they friended me via WeChat on Check-In and is largely how we communicated). There is free tea and snacks in the afternoon, the hotel was quiet so we were able to take up one of two seats that had an amazing view outside. The staff working the tea time was great and super courteous. You can hike to South Crag Palace and Nanyan Palace by foot, both are absolutely stunning. In summary, if we were to visit the area again, I would stay at a hotel at the bottom of the mountain (not in the scenic area) and use the day exploring/getting lost on the bus. While the view was great, it simply wasn’t worth the high price and the difficulty in getting there for non-locals. If I knew a hotel in the scenic area would reach out to me in advance to assist, then I would go for it. But unfortunately, with the way Trip.com works right now, hotels have to initiate that, guests cannot. I don’t recommend this hotel for non-native speakers.

BBelitskay TravelA good hotel with excellent service! The staff doesn't speak English, but they are very welcoming and friendly. They helped us with all our questions using a translator. There's a laundry room and a gym on the 16th floor. The only disappointing thing was the cleaning. The rooms are new, but quite dirty. The floor is sticky, and there was ash in the toilet as soon as we checked in, and it wasn't cleaned during our entire stay.

CCoey7002This is the most comfortable hotel I've stayed at in Wuhan. Before this, I was at another hotel that just wasn't comfortable at all – the attitude, service, and cleanliness were so bad that I decisively switched hotels the very next day. Atour's service attitude is truly excellent, and the location is super convenient, with a food court downstairs. I really regret not booking it sooner! Next time I go to China, I'm definitely choosing this branch to stay at. 🥹😍

AAnonymous UserIt's been years since I found out this place changed its name; it used to be called Marco Polo. However, its service, ambiance, facilities, and food are still excellent and offer great value for money. This particular location in Wuhan is especially good. If I had to pick one downside, it would be that the subway station is a bit far.

GGuest UserCompared to my stay at Ascott Chongqing during the Chinese New Year, this Wuhan location fell short in many aspects. **Pros:** Located above Wanda Plaza, ample parking, in-room washer and dryer, and well-equipped facilities. The lobby also has a tea and coffee bar with to-go cups, so you can take coffee and black tea with you. **Cons:** 1. Poor soundproofing in the room; significant traffic noise. 2. The evening staff on our check-in day had a poor attitude. In contrast, the morning staff on our check-out day was much more enthusiastic and resolved issues promptly. 3. Unreasonable holiday activity arrangements: Other guests checking in at the same time received sightseeing bus tickets. When I asked why our room didn't get them, I was told we could scan a QR code to book and didn't need tickets. I don't understand why, if the benefits are the same, they couldn't give a ticket to every room – it's just a piece of paper, if anything, it adds to the festive spirit. This kind of differential treatment feels really bad. The so-called 'Travel Warm-Heart Package' required choosing three items out of nine. This wasn't clearly stated on Ctrip, which feels a bit misleading. Even with the 'choose three' option, many items were missing. The staff even asked me to 'leave a good review, and I'll try my best to find it for you.' I don't understand this logic. Receiving the Warm-Heart Package is a right included in my booking. Does that mean if I don't leave a good review, they won't help me get it? 4. The pencil in the room was very sharp, and an elderly person cut their hand. 5. Breakfast was mediocre, not much to eat. The hot dry noodles were very salty, and there was so much soup they were more like noodle soup.

The room was thoroughly cleaned, the bathroom had no odd smells, featured a separate wet and dry area, and was fully stocked with toiletries. The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a very peaceful night's rest. The in-room Wi-Fi was fast and stable. Five stars, I had a very comfortable stay.

JJchen1This hotel is extremely convenient, being very close to the airport, which made our travel much easier. At the beginning of our stay there were a few issues and we had to change rooms twice, but the customer service was excellent throughout. The staff were patient, responsive, and genuinely helpful in resolving everything quickly. The amenities were a big plus the gym was well-equipped, and the free laundry service was very convenient. Breakfast was also a highlight, with a very good buffet offering plenty of options. Overall, despite the initial hiccups, the great service and facilities made this a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Would happily stay again.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel had just been renovated a month ago, and the smell was incredibly strong. All the empty rooms had their doors open, and so did many along the hallway, which felt really strange walking past! We had originally booked two nights for our 'Two Dams and One Gorge' tour. On the first night, I still couldn't fall asleep by 2 AM because the smell was just too overpowering – a really strong formaldehyde odor. The more I tried to sleep, the more my throat hurt from breathing it in. My husband couldn't sleep either. At 3 AM, we requested a checkout through Ctrip. We tough it out until early the next morning, checked out, and moved to the neighboring Crowne Plaza. We felt so much better instantly... Never staying in a newly renovated hotel again!
