This guesthouse is exactly like the popular spot featured on the Lonely Planet cover, with stunning mountain and lake views all around! It's very convenient because you can cook your own meals here. It's only a 5-10 minute drive to the town, and parking is free.
The rooms were comfortable and clean, the breakfast had a good variety of options, the staff were friendly, parking was convenient, the hotel was quiet, and it was close to attractions. The price was reasonable.
The hotel is convenient for early flights near the airport. There's a gas station nearby, so returning the car to a full tank is stress-free. The self-service check-in and check-out machines are available. The twin room is small, but the family room is a good size. The sofa bed is comfortable, not too hard or too soft. Breakfast is almost nonexistent for Chinese people, so be prepared.
We'd booked a room for 5 with an extra bed on ***********, but when we reached the hotel, the lady at check-in informed us that in the Scandic Narvik system it was only a room for 2 people, that there was no other space available, and that in future, we should book directly with the hotel in order to avoid this happening again. In the end, she was able to find us a room, but it was such a terrible way to start off what was otherwise a brilliant stay in beautiful Narvik.
The room was a bit small and facilities were just average. However, the hotel's location is excellent, right near the pier for easy access to sea activities, and a supermarket is also within walking distance. Free parking was limited. Breakfast offered a good variety. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly. What really stood out was their service even after check-out: when we returned from our sea excursion to use the restroom, the staff recognized us as previous guests and greeted us warmly. When I asked if I could get a coffee to go from the lobby bar, they immediately provided a cup. Highly recommend!
They went to this hotel on the road to Lofoten.
Hotel New (even not on google street maps at that time), parking near it is paid (as everywhere in the city).
The town is small and the hotel was unexpectedly good. A great restaurant with delicious breakfasts, a cozy room with a comfortable bed, a view.
Leknes is a transit point for Lofoten, connecting to Svolvær in the north and Reine in the south. The hotel is about a six-minute walk from the station, and there's a supermarket nearby. The room didn't have anything except bath towels and hand towels, as is typical of many hotels abroad. The breakfast was good. There wasn't a kettle in the room, but hot water was available at the front desk. The room was on the second floor, with no elevator. If you have large luggage, ask the front desk to arrange for a first-floor room.
Unforgettable stay, nice place, pleasant environment, gorgeous view outside, similar as described. I am satisfied. The rorbu is clean, well equipped, comfortable and decorated space. The breakfast is delicious and pre-pack because Restaurant Kjokkenet was close during my stay. The receptionist is very helpful and show me how to boil nice coffee. The rorbu is absolutely perfect and I could not recommend it more.
The hotel room was spacious, the breakfast was plentiful, and the staff were courteous. I highly recommend it to others. It rained heavily last night, and the wind was so strong that even with the windows closed, I could still hear the wind.
The hotel's location is excellent, the surroundings are beautiful, and the rooms are spacious. It offers great value for money. The breakfast selection is rich and delicious. Definitely worth staying.

TTravelifeJoThe hostel offers some conveniences but overall, I would rate it 3/5. Its location is a major advantage, with a shopping center and supermarket just a 5-minute walk away, making it easy to access essentials.
However, the experience was marred by several issues. The hostel was difficult to find due to the lack of clear signage, which was frustrating upon arrival. Additionally, the noise insulation was very poor—I could hear footsteps and movement from upstairs throughout the night, which severely impacted my sleep and caused insomnia.
While the hostel has potential, these issues need to be addressed to improve the overall experience. It’s a suitable choice for budget travelers prioritizing convenience, but light sleepers may want to consider other options.
MMintFantastic cultural heritage stay. The photos on their official booking page were very understated compared to reality. The reality is an epitome of modern amenities in a well conserved heritage stilt red fishery house which was a pleasant surprise.
The toilet is well renovated and unlike the official photos. They exceeded expectations as their photos did not make justice to the actual experience.

WWatcherWe arrived on a wet day and got our room almost immediately. Charming cottages with ample parking spaces. Room is warm and decently spacious. Self service kitchen short on utensils... like no teaspoons, no racks for drying out washed cutleries, no microwave oven. A conventional oven is provided that takes a while to heat up.
NnordinyWe stayed at Skarungen in a small but comfortable room with a beautiful fjord view. The room was simple yet cosy, and waking up to the sight of the mountains and water felt very special.
Although we didn’t get to see the aurora during our visit, Skarungen’s peaceful setting by the fjord made it a relaxing and memorable stop in Lofoten.

GGuest User
