"Excellent. My kids love the pool and the playground. My husband enjoyed the gym. The room is spacious. We picked the grand deluxe and love it. Two toilets, how convenient. I heard there are connecting rooms between deluxe and grand deluxe. We are going to pick those when we come back. The staff is friendly. When i accidentally left my stuff after checked out, they helped me look for it and i easily could get it back without any hassle."

"Good value for money and a comfortable stay. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The location was also convenient for getting around Brunei. The only downside was that the shared bathrooms could be cleaner, as they were sometimes a bit dirty. Aside from that, everything else was satisfactory, and I enjoyed my stay overall."

"The location is fantastic. Even during Ramadan, they prepared breakfast for us. And not just in the room, but we could eat as much as we wanted at the 7th-floor buffet. Thank you! The room is spacious. There are so many light switches that it's hard to figure out which one controls what. There was a kitchen, but it wasn't usable – no pots, pans, plates, or spoons. There's an electric kettle, two complimentary bottles of water, and a fridge. The staff are very kind. I appreciate having a bathtub, and the hot water works. My biggest complaint is that even with the AC turned off, it was still cold. Maintenance came to the room multiple times, but it remained chilly. The pool is a good size, and there's a gym too. A supermarket is conveniently connected next door, along with cafes. Across the road is the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, and it seems to be owned by the same group. Postcards can be found at the Ritz-Carlton gift shop. The hotel front desk offered a service where, for $1 per card, they would go to the post office, buy stamps, and mail them for you – very helpful! A ride to the airport was about $10 via a ride-hailing app. The place has a retro vibe. There were koi fish in the lobby. The biggest issue is the no-smoking policy; you can't smoke outside, in your room, or anywhere on the premises. Apparently, this isn't due to Ramadan but is a Brunei rule."

"The reception lady was lovely and professional. She verified all the required details promptly and, shared some useful information within the hotel and nearby attractions. The room is pretty standard, comes with the necessary in-room amenities and the air-conditioning was NICE. The environment was pretty neat, no loud noises from the street nor from the air-conditioning. Location of the hotel is ideal. It is near some of the main attractions, while furtherest is about a 15 minutes car ride. Breakfast buffet (at an additional fee) is alright, mainly international cuisine. Tried their in-house restaurant and in-room dining. Food was delicious and affordable. All of the staffs I have came across and interacted were extremely friendly and positive. Nothing much to be picky for this hotel."

"I recently stayed at Parkview Hotel and had a pleasant experience overall. The room was very spacious and comfortable, which made the stay relaxing. Although the facilities are quite basic and the rooms could use some improvement or updating, everything was very clean and well-maintained. One of the highlights of my stay was the staff — they were extremely friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with any requests. The hotel also provides complimentary airport transfer, which was very convenient and appreciated. The 'sahur' buffet food was reasonable, with a decent variety to choose from. This hotel boasts an excellent location, approximately a 5-minute walk from the center of Bandar Seri Begawan. Taking a Dart taxi, it's about 10-11 dollars to the airport and 5-6 dollars to Gadong, where the night market is. The bus terminal and the Royal Regalia Museum are also about a 5-minute walk away. During my stay, mineral water, instant coffee, tea bags, and bath towels were replenished daily. I really appreciated having a bathtub, though the shower water pressure was quite weak. There's an electrical outlet near the head of the bed, but no other outlets anywhere else, including the bathroom. This made it very inconvenient to boil water or use a hairdryer. We stayed during the off-season, and the front desk staff was super friendly. They even upgraded our room for free! The hotel is really big with lots of facilities. While the decor is a bit dated, it's well-maintained. Definitely worth a visit.

I used this hotel for a transit stay. Upon arrival, the hotel's shuttle staff was immediately available, making the transfer to the hotel smooth and convenient. The location is great, with many attractions within walking distance, and there's a night market nearby, which is a big plus. The bathroom was also clean, which was nice. For breakfast, there weren't many options, but there was toast, jam, and drinks, which was perfectly fine for my child's breakfast. Just note that toothbrushes are not provided in the room, so you'll need to bring your own.

Location: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, conveniently near to Gadong mall, 7mins walking, have a lot of restaurants, pharmacies, groceries stores, money changers etc! Services: Staff was very friendly and ensure that guest were well taken care off, communicated through WhatsApp messaging and all sorted. Assisted in carrying my luggage when I arrived at 1am. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amenities & Hygiene: very clean, not allowed to wear shoes inside, better bring own inside slippers and showers stuff (they do provide it but often no refilled) I felt safe staying here as a solo female bag-packer & would definitely book this place again.

Good location, in the city center, three minutes walk to Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque, three minutes walk to Sultan Memorial Hall, two minutes walk to Water Village Pier, less than one minute walk to Brunei Royal Plaza, two minutes walk to the shopping center, there is a large supermarket in the basement of the shopping center, all kinds of goods are very complete. There are many restaurants in the shopping center, which is convenient for eating. I checked out of the original hotel before 12 noon because of the flight at 2 am the next day, and temporarily booked a small single room to rest and take a shower before going to the airport. The price is relatively cheap, the main disadvantage is that there is only one bathroom for all the rooms in the youth hostel, and the toilet and shower are all in it. If there are many guests, there will definitely be problems and it will take a long time to wait.

We stayed at Embun in Brunei and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The property is beautifully maintained, blending modern comfort with tasteful local touches — spotless rooms, comfortable beds, and thoughtful amenities that made our stay effortless. The location is peaceful yet conveniently close to key attractions, and the sea views and surrounding trees were perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. What truly set Embun apart were the hosts, Diana and Jimi. Warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Diana anticipated our preferences, arranged excellent local recommendations, and made check‑in seamless with a friendly, professional manner. Jimi’s local knowledge was invaluable — from arranging transport to sharing insights about hidden gems around Brunei. Both were always available without ever being intrusive, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and sincere hospitality. The food recommendations and small personal touches (welcome refreshments, spotlessly clean bathrooms, and prompt responses to requests) made us feel well cared for throughout our stay. If you’re visiting Brunei and want a comfortable, restful base with hosts who make you feel like a valued guest, Embun with Diana and Jimi is highly recommended. We’ll happily return.
