I was a bit hesitant after reading the reviews, but I found this place to be a real gem. It's a bit far from the city center, but if you have a car, it's absolutely no problem. Parking is A$25 per night in the standard underground car park. You definitely need a car when visiting Western Australia.
The hotel infrastructure is excellent; this setup would easily qualify as a five-star hotel back home. During the Southern Hemisphere summer, the indoor pool was closed, but the outdoor pool is accessible directly with your room key. You can ask the staff for directions. The beach is right downstairs, and you can spend a whole day there, just like the locals do.
The ocean-view room was stunning; waking up to the sea view was amazing. The room was spacious and very clean upon check-in. However, the hotel is quite large, and the housekeeping on the second day was a bit slow; our room hadn't been cleaned by 4 PM when we returned, so we just grabbed fresh towels and skipped the cleaning. The breakfast buffet was delicious and plentiful.
This area is a lively hub. Every summer, Western Australia hosts Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night markets, and Scarborough is where the Thursday night market takes place. The area around the hotel becomes incredibly vibrant, feeling like all of Perth has descended upon it.
Downstairs, there are various restaurants, including a Thursday Special Steak deal, offering a 30% discount. A 300g steak for A$30-40 is an amazing and delightful deal. There's a Coles supermarket within a 5-minute walk, where everything is cheaper – anyone who's traveled to Australia will understand.
Everything was so relaxing; I hope to come back soon.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The included continental breakfast was good. The location across from the beach was great and also easy to walk around the main part of town. Lots of choices of places to eat within walking distance. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
This hotel is right next to a golf course, and the view from the window is breathtaking. What makes it even more special is seeing dozens of kangaroos freely roaming around the golf course and the vineyard garden. They're so relaxed and not at all afraid of guests, which is quite a sight in itself. The hotel even organizes a paid half-day kangaroo tour on the golf course. The room was spacious and very clean, though I was a bit disappointed it didn't have a bathtub. There was a faint musty smell in the room that even running the air conditioning all night couldn't get rid of, so those sensitive to smells might want to consider other options. The checkout process was quite a letdown, though. It took nearly fifteen minutes because they send someone to inspect the minibar consumption, which was a huge waste of time. I hope they improve this in the future.
This motel has a very retro style – or rather, it's just plain old. It feels like a 50s or 60s building, and the facilities everywhere show their age:
First, let's talk about the less-than-satisfactory aspects:
· Outdated hardware: The lighting is dim, and the most unbelievable thing is that they're still using window air conditioners.
· Poor soundproofing: The guests next door checked out and left at 5 AM the next morning, and I could hear their car starting clearly. Light sleepers should definitely beware.
· Basic toiletries: While shampoo and shower gel are provided, their quality leaves much to be desired. You need to bring your own toothbrush and cup, which can be a bit awkward if you forget.
But there are also some highlights:
· The shower water pressure is strong and hot, which is perfect for washing away the fatigue after a long journey.
· Family-friendly bed layout: 1 large bed + 1 single bed, just right for three adults and one child.
· Microwave is very practical: In the morning, I heated up the previous day's #1 ranked pie and baguette from Mount Barker and enjoyed breakfast in the room, which was quite pleasant.
· Good location: About a 20-minute drive from Bald Head and only 1.8km from town, making it convenient for visiting attractions and finding food.
Summary: If you're just looking for a cheap place to stay overnight and don't have high expectations for the facilities, this place is barely acceptable. However, if you're a light sleeper or prioritize comfort, I recommend looking elsewhere. It's okay for a casual overnight stay, but don't expect a comfortable experience.
Prime location - can even see the jetty from our balcony . Has large carparks nearby.
Room size is adequate , design simple yet modern.
Breakfast is plentiful and yummy - we really liked it !

Definitely worth revisiting!”]
Was so nice to arrive early, and be granted check-in 🤩 Deb was very obliging, pleasant and helpful, even organising and extremely generous breakfast delivered to our room the evening before we departed before 6am, WELL DONE
Nice location at the heart of Exmouth. I drove so everywhere was accessible, markets and cafes in 10 minutes walking distance. Easy pick up point for tours.
I stayed in a dormitory, great receptionist to put me within the females (as it was not a selection here). Kitchen and communal facilities very basic, doesn’t have salt and pepper.
Next to bar and party area, every Friday live DJ until 12am. I could hear the beats from my room.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, surrounded by numerous restaurants and shops in a bustling area of Perth. It's just a ten-minute walk to the Bell Tower and Elizabeth Quay. While there are some homeless people in the vicinity, the hotel maintains good security. After 9 PM, you need your room key to access both the lobby and the elevators.
The kitchen actually has a blender, avocado shake, great

AAnonymous UserThe environment and facilities are excellent. We even received complimentary handmade chocolates upon check-in. As for the price, I managed to snag a 3-night consecutive stay package during a Ctrip promotion, which worked out to saving ¥1,000 per day! There's a large free parking lot, and it's about a 6-minute walk back to the hotel.
EElizavetaViHotel itself is new and looks good. The location is great. But:
1. There was no water in the fridge. 5 star hotel?
2. Coffee at breakfast is for extra payment
3. The sheets on the bed were dirty.
4. When you book a king size bed be ready for 2 twin beds just standing next to each other. And they are not held together. I fell in between during the night.
GGuest UserCourtesy bus service from all airport terminal, excellent restaurant. Rooms are well equipped and exceptionally clean
Staff are always available to with a smile
Definitely worth booking if you’re begging or ending your vacation
GGuest UserOverall, the hotel is pretty good, but the facilities definitely need an upgrade. We were assigned room 804, and on the day we checked in, it was about 36 degrees Celsius outside. The air conditioning in our room was broken, but we didn't realize it at first. We thought maybe it was just slow to cool down since the room faced west. However, after two hours, the room was still hot and stuffy. We promptly called the front desk, and when the receptionist came in, even he was surprised. Initially, he thought we might have set the AC incorrectly, but after checking, he confirmed it wasn't user error – the AC was indeed broken. The front desk then reported our situation to the manager, and they moved us to a room with two separate bedrooms, which I guess was compensation for enduring two hours of extreme heat. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but it's well-balanced and nutritious. The hotel's location is also quite good, making it very convenient for getting around.
GGuest UserWe always enjoy our stay at the Great Eastern. It is in a great location a and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I would recommend the Great Eastern.
GGuest UserThe accommodations are satisfactory, but several straightforward enhancements could significantly improve the overall guest experience. Specifically, the inclusion of functional drawers, a practical wardrobe, and a modern television with Wi-Fi and the capability to access personal streaming subscriptions (e.g., Netflix, Prime) would be beneficial. Furthermore, incorporating a small table to utilize the enclosed balcony and upgrading the plastic outdoor chairs at the dining table would enhance the amenities.
Positive aspects include complimentary parking and convenient access to major roadways. The proximity to the central business district (CBD), a 10-15 minute walk, and nearby bus services are also advantageous. The kitchen is functional with basic cooking equipment, but again cooking oil especially for short term guests would be appreciated by guests. The environment is generally quiet and conducive to a hassle-free stay.
I would consider a return visit if discounted rates are available. However, at the current pricing, which can be perceived as elevated, I would likely explore alternative options.
GGuest UserThis wasn’t our first time staying at RAC Karri Valley Resort, and once again it did not disappoint. We’ve spent time here both as a couple and with family, and it’s always a wonderful experience.
The resort is consistently clean, well maintained, and set in a beautiful, peaceful location. The amenities are great for all ages, making it perfect for family getaways as well as relaxing couple trips. Staff are friendly, welcoming, and always helpful.
A place we keep coming back to and would highly recommend to families and couples alike. 🌿✨
GGuest UserAlthough the hotel is a bit old, the facilities are very well-maintained, some even looking brand new. I read online that parking was $65, but that's actually just for the area in front of the hotel lobby. I asked a bellboy and found out there's a free parking lot not far behind the hotel, which was great! They also have a heated pool, but I was too tired to try it on my first day. The bed was incredibly comfortable! 😊
AAnonymous UserHotel doesn't look like freshly renovated. Room was ok. Quite basic if you are not asking much. Were given dirty towel one day and requested for a change. Took two phone calls to reception to get that. Other times, calls to receptions were unanswered or long. Carpark nearby so convenient. There is also Coles nearby and convenience stores and fast food nearby.
Ccham poh weeStaff at counter very friendly and polite, room are very clean and comfortable! Location easy to find! We are very impressed by hotel breakfast 🥞, a lot of variety, all the coffees and teas aroma is good and nice to drink! Food are super delicious 😋I definitely will recommend this motelto friends
