Sotetsu Fresa Inn Tokyo Kinshicho Reviews

The location wise is good if your flight is at Narita Airport and you want to stay there on your last night. But the room is really small and it can barely fit two big pieces of luggage. Also, we did run into some issues with the body wash there as our skin and sensitive areas start to burn and itch. I'm not sure if it's contaminated or what but that was a first for us as we never had any issues with hotel amenities before. I hope the hotel would change their body wash to another brand or make it as those individual packs

There are many restaurants and department stores nearby. It’s also close to station, which is convenient to travel around. Sotetsu Fresa Inn hotel is good brand of hotel. Clean, welcoming customer service

Near MRT and subway but too far to city area and it cost us more on transport fare due to the changing of trains and subway

This is my second time to stay in this hotel. Good location. Nice and polite staff. The food in the restaurant in the hotel (breakfast) is yummy. Strongly recommended. I will stay again in here in my next Tokyo trip.

It’s a great place for solo traveller especially for female, the location is great, it’s just a 2-3 minutes walk from the metro station. There are also lots of amenities, restaurants and shopping mall nearby. The room was clean and cozy (fridge and a mini table is available too), will definitely stay again next time!

Room are clean and location very near to JR or Subway. But space is a bit too small with big luggage if you got. Restaurants and malls are nearby.

The room is clean. The location is very convenient. It just takes 5 mins by walk from station. Hotel prepared a lot of facilities for visitor. There has big shopping mall which near the hotel, go to Sky Tree just take 20 mins by talk. I will stay this hotel again in my next trip.

It’s nearby Kinshicho station, but it takes ca. ＞35 mins to travel to any of the hot spots like Shinjuku, Ikebukuro and Shibuya; However, Kinshicho station does not lack good food/malls to shop at, like Donki. 2. Staff is friendly and helpful when I asked for a room change. 3. Why the room change, you may ask. There was a growing pungent odor from the toilet since night 1 and i couldn’t stand it on night 3, which smelled like a mix of sulphur and other weird gases. perhaps it’s sewage gases, or poor ventilation (bathroom has no “control panel” like other japanese hotel does). In my new room, the situation was better, but eventually the smell was present as well, just not as strong as the previous room. 4. I got 3 bug bites on my stomach area at my first night, as well as a smaller one on my neck. no idea how that happened. 5. they have a policy where if the guest do not request for a room cleaning for 3 consecutive days, they would come in to clean anyways on the fourth day at anywhere from 10:00-14:00 for hygiene reasons, where I couldn’t say no to, that’s weird to me at least. Imagine you are fine with no housekeeping at all for whatever reasons, presumably privacy, but they do it anyway; I personally dislike this. 6. Good water pressure and responsive shower. 7. Idk if this is generally a japanese thing or not, but their toilet bowl is shallow, and the sitting board has a relatively small circular opening, where when pooping (for guys like me), i always had to cover my thing with my hand to prevent it touching the front of the inner toilet, as unfortunately it has happened once during my first night of my stay. same for the sink, the space between the faucet and the back end of it is small where i had to be careful not to touch it while washing my hands. 8. Everyone said the room is small and I verify that to be true.

The hotel is located next to Kinshicho Station. You can take the JR Narita Line from Narita Airport to the hotel without changing trains. It is very convenient. Amenities are provided on the first floor for each person's needs. The staffs are polite and helpful.

Pretty close to kinshicho JR stn, abt 5mins walk. But realised that there're some dodgy restaurants along the way fr stn to hotel. Felt a bit unsafe during the night. Staff speaks good English, helpful in checking in n out. Hotel able to receive luggage via yamato delivery. Able to store luggage overnight if having future stay with them. Lots of amenities at the lobby including bath salts n ladies amenities. Room is really small, barely have space to walk (this is the smallest room I've stayed out of the 10hotels I've stayed in JP). Very hard to pack luggage in this tiny rm. Rm is not very clean as well, visible dust found. Like their pyjamas (top n bottom instd of overall in other biz hotel). No bottled water provided, though the hotel lift have posters stating that the tap water is safe for drinking. There're only 2 washing machine and 2 dryers, and there's no way of checking the availability of these virtually. U've to go all the way to the room to check, very inconvenient to do so especially if u're unlucky and the washer n dryer are occupied.

Room is as per advertised. Very clean and tidy. Usual fast and affordable laundromat room. Can really feel the sincerity of the hotel in doing their best. Eg, provides all kinds of amenities including uncommon ones such as sunscreen sachets, hair treatments, power chargers and range of functional tools - These really made us feel taken care of. If I have to pick on something, it’d be the AC. My guess that it’s a centralised AC that does not follow any guest adjustments via room remote controller. Wasn’t a big issue for us as AC kept room cold during this summer trip. Front desk staff were polite as we conversed in English to check us in 2 hours earlier (¥1,000 per hour). Surroundings include Don don donki, Daiso, Uniqlo, GU (K!T mall), Nana’s green tea, cinema, etc. Even discovered a local fresh seafood ‘market’ stall that beats the price of Tsukiji by at least 3X! The side where OIOI departmental mall is. You can even find cheap and huge luggages to buy there (¥10,000)! Commute is 1 min walk away from both Kinshicho JR station and Kinshicho Subway metro line (purple). Easy to get to and fro Narita airport since 1 subway stop away from Oshiage skytree (where you transfer to Narita express train to connect to Narita airport).

We knew Tokyo hotel rooms would be small. But this one is comically small. #1 tip is to bring a top opening suitcase. Cause if you have the ones that holds things on both sides, there’s no way you can open it and lay it flat. Washroom smells like pee even tho it looks very clean.
