The staff was super super super friendly and helpful. We came as a family without any knowledge of what to do and they gave us all the information, arranged transportation and even gave us electricity transformer to charge our phones. The food was good and the balcony restaurant on the river is amazing. They continuously offered us drinks and took care of us.The only thing to note is that the back side of the hotel is on the road so after dark It’s difficult to get groceries etc. but everything you need is there so not a big issue.

The location is easy to find, and the wide road leading up the mountain makes driving hassle-free, even with oncoming cars. The rooms are sparkling clean. The owner is exceptionally friendly; they even gave apples to our children. Parking in the courtyard is convenient and free. A huge bonus is that you can dine right here, and the food is absolutely delicious. This is a truly excellent guesthouse, highly recommended! Both the rooms and the restaurant offer breathtaking views, with Jade Dragon Snow Mountain directly opposite. We even had the incredible experience of witnessing the 'Golden Mountain in the Sunrise' phenomenon.

This location is all u need to know! The million dollar view from our room made a deep impression and ten years on, I’m sure memories of this guesthouse will continue to be fresh. It is just outside the Tiger Leaping Gorge scenic area and you can get drop offs to the park from the guesthouse. Also the start of the hiking trail at Naxi Guesthouse starts just further up the same hill! How better can it get? Staff are friendly and ever helpful to make our stay better. We had dinner as well, simple fare, yak hotpot but wow, the fresh meat and vegetables from their garden certainly made it my favourite meal throughout my 10day trip through Yunnan. Amenities in our room are on par with any 4-5 star accommodation, deco is simple and rustic, shower good pressure, and a very comfortable bed. Very quiet, bird songs wake you up in the morning and then wow, that view again. Awesome! Did I mention their delightful rag dolls checking us out? Book this, you won’t regret it.

The new tea horse inn, I would like to be called a five-star hotel in the mountains, because the inn room is bright and warm, the facilities are exquisite, and the facilities of the five-star hotel are the same as the materials, and the living is very comfortable. There can be such accommodation conditions in the mountains, exceeding expectations. The inn is integrated with the previous tea horse inn, and can share the viewing platform and cafe. If you go to the Tiger Leaping Gorge High Road for hiking, it is highly recommended!

We were incredibly lucky to get photos of the sunrise and sunset over the Golden Mountain from the third floor of his house, especially since we were staying there. We had the owner prepare our food while we were still in Halfway, saving us a lot of time. Around 1 pm, it was difficult to find a shared ride in Halfway, but the owner helped us arrange one (without charging an exorbitant price of $20). We quickly turned down Road 28, had lunch, and checked in. The room was nice, and the amenities were excellent, especially the bed, air conditioning, chairs, bathroom, and even the power outlets and hairdryer. The chairs were solid wood, the air conditioner was a separate Haier model, and there were six power outlets – better than many hotels, convenient for those with electronic devices. The mattress was very comfortable and a huge 2 meters. The cleanliness was superb. I noticed the owner and his wife both have cochlear implants, and they were both very meticulous. They wiped the floor of their restaurant downstairs frequently, and the large, gleaming tiles were beautiful. In the afternoon, after a quick rest, the owner even drove us to Crazy Rock. He was very kind. We ate lunch and dinner at his place. My girlfriend is from Yunnan, and she says the mint ribs, hot and sour shredded potatoes, stir-fried wild vegetables, and egg fried rice are all top-notch, tasting exactly like the food she ate when she was a child.

The scenery is nice, but it is challenging to drive here. There is a small road leading to the hotel, and it is difficult to pass other cars. Basically, most of the road is only wide enough for one car to pass. The boss was very enthusiastic and suggested that we park in the free parking lot at Halfway. Facilities: The air conditioner is very weak. It doesn't get warm even after turning it on all night. It's too cold in winter. The warm air in the bathroom is also very weak. I don't know if there was a power cut in the room, but the 1500w hair dryer I brought with me didn't work. The amazing thing is that the 1800w hair dryer provided by the hotel can be used. It feels like a false label 🥲. The hair dryer is almost useless. The wind is very weak, and it is covered with dust that blocks the air inlet. Hygiene: When I checked out, I saw the changed sheets were placed directly on the floor, which was not very nice, but it was fine to stay there. Hygiene was satisfactory.
