Very beautiful room with great view of the golden bell. Also really loved the sky light bringing natural lighting into the room from above. The hotel provides transport service to and from the 北门 of the ancient city so you don’t need to worry about having to lug your luggage up the slope. The oxygen machine provided in the room was also a life saver to combat high altitude sickness after a day of sightseeing. Its convenient location within the ancient city also ensured that there was food and drinks easily accessible during our stay. Would highly recommend this hotel!

We were initially worried about travelling to shangrila because of the altitude, but we got lucky with the hotel choice! The couple running the place is absolutely amazing!! The owner picked us up from the train station making us feel so welcomed and help us avoid all the hassle of the unlicensed taxis! Once we reach the hotel, they were also very considerate preparing Chinese desserts for us in case to ease up the discomfort due to the altitude (all FOC)! The room were also very modern with smart home system and heater available in the room! Oxygen supplies also available which makes it so convenient ( we really use it in the middle of the night as we lack of the oxygen)! The owner also prepare us with heat pad and lots of snacks as well! Highly recommended this place!

Just a short walk away from a halal hotpot restaurant (few shops away) and other local eateries. Perfect spot to explore Shangri-La! Always Ready to Help (Even with Translation!): Even with language differences, the staff was super responsive on WeChat and helped with all our questions using translation. Made everything so much easier! Final Verdict: An awesome homestay with super kind service, great location and big comfy rooms. We arrived a little bit late to the hotel but the owner/hotel is already ready to greet us. They are super friendly and super helpful! Our rooms are located upstairs but they helped us with all our crazy luggages with a swift.. Walking distance to the ancient town where you can get a feet soak and massage for 68yuan and the masseuse was really good! The owners got 3 cute cats running around playing and enjoying themselves like us. Highly recommended! The room is spacious, with basic amenities and there is also extra blanket given because it is freaking cold in Xiangelila.. We enjoyed so much!!!
